No doubt Putin is leveraging the U.S. position moving against ISIS in Syria which needs Russian assistance/acceptance.   As Russia assists U.S. political and strategic interests in Syria, now is the right time for Putin to make his selfish moves.   Putin is playing chess, and Obama is playing checkers…..

MOSCOW — Declaring that Russian troops had crossed into Ukraine, President Petro O. Poroshenko on Thursday canceled a planned visit to Turkey and convened a meeting of the national security council to focus on the “marked aggravation of the situation” in the southeast of his country.

The meeting of the national security council will focus on shaping a response, and Ukraine will also request a meeting of the United Nations Security Council. (more…)

This represents Obama’s foreign policy in a nutshell. In 2012 we armed ISIS in Syria with the goal to destroy President Assad. In 2014 we are giving President Assad the intelligence information to destroy ISIS, and the weapons we gave them to kill him.

WASHINGTON DC – The U.S. has begun reconnaissance flights over Syria and is sharing intelligence about jihadist deployments with Damascus through Iraqi and Russian channels, sources told AFP on Tuesday.

“The cooperation has already begun and the United States is giving Damascus information via Baghdad and Moscow,” one source close to the issue said on condition of anonymity.

The comments came a day after Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said Syria was willing to work with the international community against the jihadist Islamic State group, and U.S. officials said they were poised to carry out surveillance flights over Syria. (more…)

Based on our research those emails contain communication between the IRS and the Department of Justice.   As we have drilled down the trail, it’s almost certain the communication was about specifically targeting the groups created by the 33 illegally distributed “Schedule B’s”.

Those Schedule B’s created a list of entities to target. Those entities became the subject of various agency scrutiny beyond the IRS. [Agencies like EEO, Dept of Labor, ATF and OSHA.]  Targeting coordinated by the DOJ

WASHINGTON DC – A Justice Department official admitted that former IRS official Lois Lerner’s apparently missing emails actually exist on a backup server, but the government doesn’t plan to retrieve them.
“A Department of Justice attorney told a Judicial Watch attorney on Friday that it turns out the federal government backs up all computer records in case something terrible happens in Washington and there’s a catastrophe, so the government can continue operating,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton told Fox News’ Shannon Bream.
“But it would be too hard to go get lois lerner’s emails from that backup system,” Fitton continued, paraphrasing the DOJ official. (read more)

(Via Sharyl Attkisson) The federal government continues to maintain a great deal of secrecy around the influx of what it calls “unaccompanied alien children” or UAC. At the same time, U.S. taxpayers are being asked to fund programs to process and care for them.
Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) recently wrote a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell stating:

Grassley also raised questions about a charity called Southwest Key Programs that “received $368 million in federal government grants over the past six years and more than $122 million alone from the Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement in 2014. According to the non-profit’s 2012 Form 990, it receives 98.76 percent of its support from taxpayer dollars.”
To date, Grassley says his questions to HHS have gone unanswered. Among other queries, he asked for information about who the unaccompanied minors are being released to, the health issues facing the unaccompanied minors, and the decision to move millions of dollars away from service for legal refugees. It’s frustrating to see so many pundits spinning wildly while trying to explain seemingly contradictory opinions between President Obama and his team of advisors.
Specifically, the term: “the advisors are out front of the president” – when describing international, or foreign policy, positions of the U.S. administration.
 
President Obama is consistent, if not predictable, when it comes to his overarching approach to foreign policy; there’s no inconsistency.
President Obama is a “Domestic President”; the entire purpose of his campaign was to lead fundamental change *internally* within the U.S.
The international developments are “over there” or distractions to his entire presidency – which is solely based on changing domestic policies and therefore the construct of America as a constitutional republic.
It does not matter to President Obama when his foreign policy advisors are at a divergent position or opinion to his current place or mindset.   The international ramifications of his engagements are purely viewed through the prism of whether or not the advised position provides him greater or lesser currency within the U.S. to carryout the fundamental change. (WASHINGTON DC) White House deputy press secretary Eric Schultz was asked at today’s press briefing why the administration was unwilling to negotiate with terrorists in James Foley’s case, yet traded five Taliban for the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.
“I think, again, what the president made clear at the time of the Guantanamo transfer was that his commitment to the men and women that serve overseas is a bedrock one, that we will leave no man or woman behind.
