We outlined yesterday some of the ideological teams within the current political dynamic as it relates to a massive foreign policy failure in Afghanistan {Go Deep}. Before going further and reviewing the current Sunday talking points by political actors within this mess, it is worth expanding slightly so we can see the institutional agendas that drive the visible messaging.

Big Picture – Remember, there was a time when the eagle’s gaze on the official seal for the Office of the United States President, did not point toward the olive branch. There was a long time in our nation’s history when the eagle’s gaze on the Presidential Seal pointed toward the arrows, and the State Dept. Seal pointed to the olive branch.  There were always two conflicting teams, by design.  There were always two different roles and responsibilities.  Those distinct purposes are now diluted by ideology and size of government…. But the distinction is playing out amid the crisis in Afghanistan.

The State Department has been undermining the message and ‘narrative’ from the White House.  Part of this is driven by an ideological distinction and self-interest that has existed for decades.  However, the current dynamic is being played out by corrupt institutional actors on both sides who do not have our best interests in mind.  Both sets of federal actors are two factions within the same ideological tribe of  leftists & globalists.

The Eagle’s Stare…

In keeping with the FUBAR dynamic… a deeper, perhaps more concerning, picture is emerging.  The Pentagon held a press briefing today with Defense Department spokesperson John Kirby and Maj. General Hank Taylor.  After initial comments, the first question was about the State Department telling Americans not to attempt to come to the airport.  Kirby and Taylor did not know about it.

Maj General Taylor admitted, “I’m not familiar with that directly.”  [See video 04:08 Prompted]:

Defense Department Spokesperson John Kirby was put in a very uncomfortable position of answering questions about a State Department alert he was not knowledgeable about.

Stand back for a moment.  Was the release from the State Dept timed to catch Kirby and Taylor off-guard?   Having watched these internecine battles unfold amid Deep State institutions wanting to protect their own interests and avoid blame for their part of the FUBAR, my answer is a resounding yes.

The State Department is the bureaucratic scum that creates the environment for DC swamp creatures to exist.  Keep in mind the Dept of State (DoS) is a sister agency to the CIA.  DoS and CIA embed together, operate together and align in common purpose.  As such, the picture starts to gain clarity…. The State Dept is turning against the White House to protect itself.

Yesterday, while responding to reports of American citizens not being able to get to the Kabul airport for evacuation, Joe Biden said:

“We have no indication that they haven’t been able to get — in Kabul — through the airport. We’ve made an agreement with the — with the Taliban. Thus far, they’ve allowed them to go through. It’s in their interest for them to go through. So, we know of no circumstance where American citizens are — carrying an American passport — are trying to get through to the airport. But we will do whatever needs to be done to see to it they get to the airport.” (link)

Today, the U.S. State Dept. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan issues a Security Alert:

“Because of potential security threats outside the gates at the Kabul airport, we are advising U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to the airport and to avoid airport gates at this time unless you receive individual instructions from a U.S. government representative to do so.” (LINK)

The State Dept. Public Relations firm, CNN, stopped Clarissa Ward (journalist) from reporting outside the gates of the Kabul airport.  Now, the embassy says don’t go to the airport at the same time the Associated Press is reporting on al-Qaeda and Islamic State elements threatening the area:

David Fox is an American trapped in Kabul who appeared on a video report with ABC to highlight the situation faced by thousands of Americans attempting to evacuate the region. While he was describing the dangerous situation around the Kabul airport, Mr. Fox also pointed out a very serious issue.  ABC buried the lead….

According to his report, the U.S. State Department responded en masse to all the people trapped in Afghanistan reaching out for help.

The U.S. Embassy consular services department sent a document with instructions to assist Americans and eligible Afghans claiming Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) status. The document looks exactly like an approved VISA document except there is no filled in name, no serial number and no barcode.

As Mr. Fox notes, the document is easily able to be forged which makes the Kabul airport situation even worse, as it is likely the people who receive this response from the consular’s office will duplicate it and share it with friends or family who can then use it in an effort to get to the United States.

Mr. Fox attributes this massive problem to bureaucratic “brainworms“, or a mistake by professional bureaucrats within the State Department trying to help but actually making things worse.  However, there is a possibility it’s not a mistake.  Perhaps this was done purposefully.

The Associated Press attempted a hit piece on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over his promotion for monoclonal antibody treatment for early stage COVID recovery.  The treatment from Regeneron was purchased by the federal government in January of 2021.  However, the AP attempted to claim a small investor in Regeneron was also a supporter of Ron DeSantis…. the implication was a quid-pro-quo.

The attempt was so weak, so lacking of substance and silly, that few additional media attempted to join the AP in their narrative.  Even the far-left politifact had to call out the Fake News. After the AP refused to clear the record and drop the nonsense, Governor Ron DeSantis and his spokesperson, Christina Pushaw, unleashed on the AP in a similar way they crushed a similar 60-Minutes effort earlier in the year.

Ms. Pushaw simply re-tweeted the AP story and said “drag them” to her followers and DeSantis supporters.  The Associated Press is not used to having the MAGA army take action and start ridiculing them.  New rules...

Apparently California Governor Gavin Newsom is more than a little worried about losing his job as the momentum to defeat him in the recall election is gaining steam.

The leftist groups organizing to protect Gavin Newsom have called for Kamala Harris to rally in his defense.  Harris will be traveling to the San Francisco Bay area next Friday August 27th to help.

Joe Biden put Kamala Harris in charge of fixing the border crisis, a responsibility she is failing miserably. Joe Biden also put Ms. Harris in charge of: immigration enforcement, increasing broadband access, black maternal mortality, racial inequality, women in the workforce, infrastructure spending, voting rights legislation and space force.

…And now amid the Afghanistan mess,… apparently, helping protect Gavin Newsom.

The Kabul airport in Afghanistan has essentially become the collective Alamo; the only area in Afghanistan under U.S and allied military control since the Taliban took over.  In the past several days The White House, National Security Advisor, U.S. State Department, Pentagon and even Joe Biden himself, have been caught telling lies about the security status of the situation on the ground in/around the Kabul airport.

One of the key media figures who has accidentally exposed the transparent Biden lies, by simply reporting on the events as she sees them, is Clarissa Ward of CNN.  As long as Ms. Ward was reporting live, broadcasting in real time on the ground just outside the airport, it was almost impossible for the Biden administration to maintain their false stories about security and safety that were different from reality.

Ward’s reporting has been catching the Biden administration in lies for the past three days.  Other media outlets were relying on Ms. Ward’s reports in their own questions to the Biden regime.  Well, guess what?  A few hours ago that dynamic changed. Clarissa Ward is no longer there:

Last week Fox News was caught by Liz Harrington doing a “jump edit” to cut out a response by President Trump during the Dan Bongino television program.  [Story Here] Today, in another transparent effort to manipulate their preferred narrative, Fox News did it again with Joe Biden’s press conference response.

An NPR reporter actually did some journalism when he went off-script and asked a follow-up question that Biden was not expecting.

In the previous question, a seemingly out-of-touch Joe Biden falsely claimed that all Americans attempting to flee Afghanistan were able to get to the Kabul airport without issue.  This claim is exactly the opposite of the reality on the ground,  as it is being reported by dozens of journalists from all media outlets.  The false statement was even too big for the NPR reporter ignore seconds later.  WATCH:

The old axiom about being in a hole and quit digging applies here.  In some weird disconnected reality today, Joe Biden not only reflected his detachment, but he pulled Secretary of State Tony Blinken, Nat Sec Advisor Jake Sullivan, Def Sec Lloyd Austin and co-dependent enabler Kamala Harris into the hole with him with these remarks:

“I have seen no question of our credibility from our allies around the world. I have spoken with our NATO allies, we’ve spoken with our NATO allies through our secretary of state (points to Blinken). Our National Security Advisor (points to Sullivan) has been in contact with his counterparts throughout the world and our allies; as has my […] secretary of defense (points to Austin), the fact of the matter is I have not seen that. As a matter of fact the exact opposite I have gotten”.

This statement is exactly the opposite of the reality.  The U.K. has roundly condemned Joe Biden’s poor and unilateral decision-making, even going so far as both parties in British Parliament holding Biden in contempt with their public criticism.  As noted by Newsweek, “Like much of the world, European countries have looked on with dismay as two decades of a U.S-led Western campaign in Afghanistan collapsed within hours,” and leaders of those nations have been very public with their criticism of Biden’s weak, ineffective and incompetent action.

Either the people around Joe Biden are lying to him about the perspective of the international community toward his incompetence; or Biden simply doesn’t pay enough attention to the world around him to see it.  Either explanation is alarming in the extreme, and the U.S. media’s willingness to keep pretending the emperor is not naked is only making things worse.  WATCH:
