President Trump Meets With Major U.S. Automakers…

Operation Bigly continues – President Trump met early this morning with key U.S. auto manufacturers. One of the key issues discussed was regulation and eliminating bureaucracy.  The tectonic shift within the discussion as framed by GM CEO Mary Barra, was a president asking industry: what can I do to assist your growth?
President Trump opened the meeting with GM CEO Mary Barra, Ford CEO Mark Fields and Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne at the White House by saying he wants to see new auto plants built in the United States.  (Story Here)

The new Republican president vowed to cut regulations and taxes to make it more attractive for businesses to operate in the United States. He promised frequently during his election campaign to be a job-creating president and stressed that message in his inaugural speech last Friday. (link)
At the conclusion of the meeting the CEO’s came forward to the media to discuss their perspectives: (more…)

Nikki Haley Confirmed as U.S. Ambassador To U.N. – McConnell and Cornyn Maintain GOPe Trickery…

Nikki Haley confirmed; gee, no surprise here.  Pay attention to the trend, it’s GOPe transparent.  UniParty defenders Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn are only working on confirmations for GOPe (UniParty) preferred candidates.

[…]  Haley, the governor of South Carolina and a rising GOP star, was approved with wide bipartisan support, 96-4. (link)

The transparency within McConnell’s Machiavellian scheme is brutally obvious with Lisa Murkowski simultaneously slow-rolling Rick Perry for Energy Secretary.  Follow these Senatorial historic names folks, they are all entrenched operatives of the UniParty working earnestly in an almost predictable fashion.
Remember, it was only last year when Nikki Haley delivered the rebuttal speech to the President Obama State of the Union and castigated candidate Trump,  Don’t forget it was Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan who commissioned and approved of that rebuttal, then handed it to Haley to rehearse and deliver.
The enemy is NOT just Chuck Schumer, the real enemy is the entire UniParty apparatus which includes the GOPe swamp protection crew.  President Trump is an existential threat to the GOPe just as much as President Trump is an adversary to the visible democrats.   The GOPe just scheme it behind closed door.

President Trump Meets With Senate Judiciary Leadership – SCOTUS Prep…

Begin, with the end in mind…

President Trump and Vice-President Pence met with Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (R), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D), and Chairs of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley (R) and Dianne Feinstein (D) today.  These are key members of the Senate who will be at the forefront of any Supreme Court nomination.

The small group meeting appears to be reconnaissance and temperature gauging for the upcoming Trump Supreme Court nomination which will be challenging.
In addition to the myriad of long-term impacts, Trump’s SCOTUS nominee will be a key element to the broader immigration issue.  Referencing back to the DACA topic, it is predictable the removal of DACA will eventually end up with immigration advocates selecting a deportee for use in their deportation court challenge.

President Trump Signs Executive Order Reviving Keystone Pipeline…

Earlier today President Donald Trump signed an executive action to revive the Keystone XL pipeline, signalling his inclination to approve the project.  In 2015 President Obama rejected the pipeline, which would connect the Alberta oil sands to existing pipelines in Nebraska.

“We’re going to renegotiate some of the terms, and if they’d like, we’ll see if we can get that pipeline built.  Great construction jobs.”

WASHINGTON […]  Tuesday’s actions will not force the approval of either project, and Trump said he wanted to renegotiate terms with the pipelines’ developers. Those terms may include some way for the United States government to get a financial return from Keystone, a possibility he mentioned on the campaign trail.
The new president briefly described each action before putting his pen to paper, and then held each action in front of the cameras.

Preeeedictable: Senator Mike Lee Plans Bill To Block Presidential Tariff Authority…

Ready yourselves – here we go again.  Up is down and down is up.
These “small government CONservatives” do have a rather obvious propensity to consolidate self-serving power when threatened, eh?  Crony CONstitutional CONservatives loves them some globalism when Wall Street is paying for their indulgences…

Mike Lee 1Mark Levine

WASHINGTON DC – A staffer for Republican Senator Mike Lee told trade experts at a lunch in Washington this week that he is looking into ways to curtail the president’s wide-ranging powers to impose tariffs, according to one of Lee’s aides.
The aide said a bill could be introduced as early as next week, and it may require Trump to go through Congress to use tariffs.

Apoplectic Liberals Furious Over Trump's Proposed Economic Freedom…

It is going to take years to break through the false constructs of radical left-wing economic principles which have been sold by modern academia and corporate media.  However, eventually people will recognize once again that being allowed to keep their own money, the outcome of their own labor, is not an expense on government.
trump-hat-1
The current Carrier HVAC story is an example of economic cognitive dissonance.  Allowing Carrier to keep a larger portion of their own income, to afford a larger labor force, is not a government expense. Government does not own the income, Carrier does.
The reason Mexico was the better play was simply because by changing locations the company could: A.) make more, and B.) keep more – of its own revenue.  Donald Trump is attempting to reverse this cancerous economic system and create the better play right here in the U.S.A.

President-Elect Trump Announces Economic Nationalist Dream Team: Mnuchin, Ross and Ricketts…

“We have the most killer deal-makers… we never use them, I know many of them… these guys are brutal… hard… and Obama uses Kennedy in Japan, I mean give me a break… we need strength”… “and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say we can’t take all of this winning, …please Mr. Trump …and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning”.

~ Donald Trump

Today, via Facebook (<– specifically note this), President-Elect Donald Trump announces more members of his economic team. Steven Mnuchin for Treasury Secretary, Wilbur Ross as Commerce Secretary, and Todd Ricketts as Deputy Commerce Secretary.
In essence, the Trump economic patriotism platform takes shape with the introduction of a few more key members for the domestic economy dream team.
mnuchin-1ross-1
If you have followed the Trump economic mindset from the beginning, you’ll know exactly what the purpose of each of these players are into the larger scope of domestic capital infusion. Remember, one of the essential elements Trump needs is to create the environment where the best play is domestic, ie. Main Street, investment.
To reverse three decades of economic outsourcing, the investment scales (best return) must tip from Wall Street (global investment) to Main Street (domestic investment), that’s where Mnuchin, Ross and Ricketts come into play. Economic patriotism is leveraged by steering capital investment much like well constructed levies can steer the flow of water.

Carrier Announces Deal With Trump To Keep 1,000 Jobs In Indiana…

…”and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say we can’t take all of this winning, …please Mr. Trump …and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning”. ~ Donald Trump

The bigger story here is that: A.) A U.S. President-Elect actually cares about blue collar jobs, and B.) United Technologies, ie. Carrier’s parent company, recognizes their best interests are now to focus on “America First”.

trump hard hat 2

(New York Times) From the earliest days of his campaign, Donald J. Trump made keeping manufacturing jobs in the United States his signature economic issue, and the decision by Carrier, the big air-conditioner company, to move 2,000 1,400 of them from Indiana to Mexico was a tailor-made talking point for him on the stump.

On Thursday, Mr. Trump and Mike Pence, Indiana’s governor and the vice-president elect, plan to appear at Carrier’s Indianapolis plant to announce they’ve struck a deal with the company to keep roughly half of the jobs in the state, according to officials with the transition team as well as Carrier. Canadian Economist: "We are so screwed" … "This is like Godzilla Trump -vs- Bambi Trudeau"…

…”and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say we can’t take all of this winning, …please Mr. Trump  …and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning”. ~ Donald Trump

THE TRUMP EFFECT – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has already announced the Canadian government’s willingness to renegotiate NAFTA.   In addition, President Trump’s energy agenda plans to triple domestic U.S. energy production, no carbon tax, and the Trump tax proposal drops the corporate tax rate to 15%.
One Canadian economist realizes exactly what this confluence of events adds up to:
