Paris (AFP) – More than 700,000 people on Saturday took to streets across France in tribute to the 17 people killed in three days of violence by Islamist extremists, the interior minister said.

From Nice and Marseilles in the south to Besancon in the east and Lille in the north, people poured onto the streets to express their solidarity following Wednesday’s attack on the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo that left 12 dead. The massacre was followed by the fatal shooting of a police officer on Thursday and the murder of four hostages during a siege at a Jewish supermarket on Friday. (more…)

Missouri – The female owner of a Shawnee gun shop was released from the hospital Saturday, less than 24 hours after a violent Friday afternoon robbery attempt that resulted in the death of her husband, a co-owner of the business.
Becky Bieker, who was struck in the face when four men entered her She’s A Pistol gun shop Friday, was released from Overland Park Regional, a hospital spokesman said Saturday. Two other individuals — teenagers suspected of being involved with the attempted robbery — remained at the hospital in fair condition. (more…)

(CNN) – French law enforcement officers have been told to erase their social media presence and to carry their weapons at all times because terror sleeper cells have been activated over the last 24 hours in the country, a French police source who attended a briefing Saturday told CNN Terror Analyst Samuel Laurent.

Ahmedy Coulibaly, a suspect killed Friday during a deadly Kosher market hostage siege, had made several phone calls about targeting police officers in France.
The alert came as the lone remaining suspect wanted in connection with a terrorism spree — Hayat Boumeddiene — entered Turkey on January 2, a Turkish prime ministry source told CNN Saturday.

Both of the Charlie Hebdo terrorists, Kouachi brothers, and the Kosher Market terrorist, Amedy Couibaly, contacted the media before they were killed by police. The terrorists informed the media their attacks were coordinated by ISIS training, and cell activation. In essence, they were saying there is more to come.

BFM TV has been in contact with two terrorists during the day on Friday. They claimed their actions. One of them reported a synchronization between actions.
BFM TV has been in telephone contact with Sharif Friday Kouachi, entrenched in Dammartin-en-Goële (Seine-et-Marne) and Amedy Coulibaly, which held hostage in a Parisian kosher supermarket, before they were killed in the assault forces.
One of the killers of Charlie Hebdo, Cherif Kouachi , joined by BFM TV, said Friday morning he was commissioned by “Al Qaeda in Yemen” and been trained by Imam Anwar Al Awaki. “We are defenders of the prophet,” he has said. It is trying to reach witnesses in the printing Dammartin-en-Goële where they were entrenched, our reporter was in contact with the one who is considered the leader of the attack against the satirical weekly. Broward County Judge [ Jay Hurley ]: “Don’t give me that, That is so off base. We’ve got a young man, I don’t care what color he is, he’s in a neighborhood he doesn’t live in at 1:41 in the morning, hiding under somebody’s dock in the water with a holster on after a police officer had a shot taken at him. Don’t hand me this, ‘running from police brutality’. […] That is not appropriate in this case. I’m not going to let you poison this case with bringing in something that has nothing to do with it”.
The judge is now under fire (first two minutes of this news video) and the grievance industry is aligning to get the judge fired.

In an appearance to promote the upcoming season of his HBO talk show, liberal commentator Bill Maher slammed politically-correct liberals for not truly standing up for free speech in the aftermath of the attack on the Charlie Hebdo offices. Maher referred to the aforementioned liberals as a “pussy nation,” adding that they must stand up for their principles.
