Wow, on Eve of Hunter Biden Case Before Judge, Biden Defense Lawyers Accused of Impersonating Congressional Staff to Remove Derogatory Evidence Against Hunter

Things are awful sketchy in Delaware, as the Hunter Biden case is about to enter court for Judge Maryellen Noreika to review sweetheart plea deal between corrupt DOJ officials and Hunter Biden lawyers.

As the situation unfolded, Congress filed an amicus brief opposing the plea deal and outlining new evidence discovered by the House Oversight Committee so the judge would have additional background on the deal.  The amicus filing was done by GOP lawyer Mr. Theodore Kittila, from the committee.

Someone from the defense team, a lawyer later identified as Jessica Bengels from the law firm of Latham and Watkins, then contacted the clerk of the court -falsely claimed to be working with Theodore Kittila- and asked the clerk to remove the amicus filing.  The clerk removed the filing.

GOP lawyer Kittila found out and contacted the clerk to understand what was going on.  Mr. Kittila then confronted the lawyers for Hunter Biden, and Judge Noreika is a little angry about the Biden team manipulation. [COURT ORDER]

(New York Post) – […]  In an evening order, Noreika gave Hunter’s attorneys until 9 p.m. to “show cause as to why sanctions should not be considered for misrepresentations to the Court.” — while noting they had not formally filed any request to seal evidence in the matter.

However, she also ordered the filing sealed until close of business Wednesday.

DeSantis Fires a Third of His Campaign Staff – Drops Even Further Behind in Polls

This is not a surprise. This is not disappointing. This is not unexpected.  This collapsing campaign, and the eventual complete campaign withdrawal, was entirely predictable.  Ron DeSantis and everything around him is a big fibber.

I have no sympathy whatsoever for the lying, conniving, scheming and Machiavellian organization, as the DeSantis operation now starts to publicly embarrass itself and become the target of scorn and ridicule.

Keep in mind, the Florida legislature was pressured by the governor’s office to change the political sunlight laws – just so DeSantis could obfuscate his travel expenses and hide that he was flying around the country on private jets owned by billionaires and multinational corporations.  They changed the damned law just because Casey and Ron did not want to fly commercial.  Let that sink in.

(Via Politico) Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign is expanding the number of staff it’s cutting to include more than a third of his payroll as the Florida governor looks to get his primary bid back on track.

The cuts, which were confirmed by advisers, will amount to a total of 38 jobs shed across an array of departments. They will include the roughly 10 event planning positions that were announced several weeks ago, in addition to the recent departures of two senior DeSantis campaign advisers, Dave Abrams and Tucker Obenshain.

“Following a top-to-bottom review of our organization, we have taken additional, aggressive steps to streamline operations and put Ron DeSantis in the strongest position to win this primary and defeat Joe Biden,” DeSantis campaign manager Generra Peck said in a statement. “Gov. DeSantis is going to lead the Great American Comeback and we’re ready to hit the ground running as we head into an important month of the campaign.”

The House Oversight Committee and Biden Investigation

CTH has never pretended or played the game of pretending, but several people have discussed the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee against the backdrop of the Joe and Hunter Biden investigation.  Thus, some general reminders about inside DC politics are perhaps valuable.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, hereafter called the House Oversight Committee or HOC, has a very specific function in DC that too few understand.  Once again, let us be clear while trying to explain decades of false information founded upon arcane legislative outlooks.

This article is specific only to the House Oversight Committee.

Within Washington DC, the HOC has a very specific and unique function.  What Fox News is to corporate conservative punditry, so too is the HOC to the same DC system of pretending.  The House Oversight Committee is the “Chaff and Countermeasures” committee.  The HOC operates for both parties with the same mission.

In recent years, the appearances by various DC politicians on the Sean Hannity show should serve as a key indicator for the Chaff and Countermeasures operation.   If the politician is on the Hannity ‘tick-tock’ show, you are watching countermeasures.  We are not yet at the point where this is widely understood, it will be for the next generation to look back and expose it.

♦ HOC – The House Oversight Committee was/is created by the House legislative leadership to make money for the party in control of the Chair.  When the House Speaker is notified of a DC corruption issue, inside his/her office they will often be heard saying, “give it to oversight.”  The intent of that instruction is to give the issue to the HOC, so they can hold hearings, create soundbites and fundraise from the issue.

Making money for the party in control of the Chair is the primary function of the House Oversight Committee.  The HOC does not exist to create accountability or oversight; the HOC exists to exploit the issue for fundraising and satiate the base voters of the party in control of the Chair.  The HOC presents the illusion of accountability by constructing soundbites and member performances which are then broadcast on television for appearances to the voting audience.  It is essentially theater.

July 25th – 2023 Presidential Politics – Resistance Day 917

In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the JoeBama Administration and Presidency.

“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.”

“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”

~ Mike Vanderboegh

This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.

Tuesday July 25th – Open Thread

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Have You Ever Noticed This?…

At first blush, the following question might seem like a sideways throwaway snark at the professionally political. However, at the heart of it, there’s a truth in the question I am genuinely curious about.

Have you ever noticed that Donald Trump supporters have a better sense of humor than the supporters of all other political candidates?

I mean, it’s just a truthful observation.  Trump supporters are just plain funnier, have a fun disposition and are humorous people.

Like many of you, I’ve followed politics for a long time, and this is just one of those random observations that I have noticed.

The people who support President Donald Trump just have a much greater sense of humor.   Why is that?

White House Shifting and Parsing Words Around Joe and Hunter Biden “Business” – Witness Devon Archer Scheduled to Give Testimony to Congress July 31st

Previously Joe Biden said, “I have never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses.”  Today, the White House appears to have modified that position and Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre now says, “the President was never in business with his son.”  WATCH:

The issue has specific weight now because Hunter Biden’s friend and eyewitness to the Biden family business coordination, Devon Archer, is scheduled to deliver testimony to the House Oversight Committee a week from today, Monday July 31st.

“The Oversight Committee will continue to follow the facts to provide the transparency and accountability that the American people demand and deserve. We look forward to speaking soon with Devon Archer about Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s business affairs,” James Comer (R-KY) said on Monday.

Jason Aldean Song Jumps to #2 on Billboard Top 100 – Achieving 11.7 Million Video Streams Last Week

Apparently, someone on the BLM/Woke activism side of the narrative engineering grievance industry decided to call country music singer Jason Aldean a racist for his song “Try That in A Small Town”.   [The song and video are at the end of the article.]

As the story is told, the song and subsequent music video upset the professional grievance industry who took exception to the contrast of small-town values juxtaposed against urban riots, violence and looting.

While it might sound odd, and as a consequence of the spotlight provided by Mr Aldean, intolerance to chaos, small-town values, peace, respect, kindness and neighbor helping neighbor is now declared by the grievance experts as an exhibition of profound racism.  It all seems rather bizarre, because redefining social values is typically Marxist.

Making things even more odd, Country Music Television agreed with the grievance team and immediately pulled the Aldean video from the network.  However, perhaps as an outcome of the interest created by this oddball controversy, viewers and listeners have driven the song and video to the top of the charts.

(Fox Business) – […] According to Luminate, which tracks streams and music sales, the audio and video streams from Aldean’s latest song went from 987,000 to 11.7 million, a 999% increase in the week following the release of the music video.

Luminate also confirmed to FOX Business that sales for “Try That In A Small Town” have spiked as well. The week before Aldean released the music video, it sold 1,000 tracks. Last week, the country music song sold 228,000 tracks, per Luminate.

Another major accomplishment for Aldean came in on Monday. “Try That In A Small Town” came in second on Billboard’s Hot 100 list. This marks the country music singer’s first number two spot on the chart. (read more)

I’ve watched this video below a few times, and I still don’t see what makes it controversial.

If I Were The Deep State – Deploying Relentless Lawfare

Excellent video presented by Lauren3ve {Direct Rumble Link} WATCH:

Exceptional article, outlining the Biden DC agenda and the perspective of the American majority.  This is the crux, the essence, the core reason behind the upcoming victory of the American people, through Trump, over a comprehensively corrupt DC apparatus:

[…] What we have seen over the years is that every time the Deep State tries to hurt President Trump, his poll numbers rise, and he is able to fund-raise even more than before. It is an inexplicable reaction that frustrates Democrats, who fail to understand that most Americans are honest, ethical, and busy individuals, committed to caring for their families, attending church, and being active in the community. Most voters do not understand the complexities of national security laws. Nor do they believe that Trump committed felony violations by participating in a conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Voters may not remember their civics classes, but they know that Trump has always cared about America’s standing in the world. From the moment he descended the escalator at Trump Tower in 2015, Trump’s brand is that he wants America to win. Even in television interviews in the late 1980s and 1990s, Trump’s single-most consistent grievance against American officials was that they let foreigners take advantage of America and get ahead at the nation’s cost. For Trump watchers, the Make America Great Again campaign started more than 30 years ago. (read more)
