CALIFORNIA – A man who allegedly attacked a 64-year-old California woman and brutally raped her is an illegal alien from Mexico who has been arrested four times in the past two years.
The victim, Marilyn Pharis, died eight days after the attack, which occurred July 24 while she was asleep in her Santa Maria home. An autopsy is being conducted to help determine if Pharis died as a direct result of the heinous crime.
Victor Aureliano Martinez Ramirez, 29, was arrested shortly after the attack while he was inside another home nearby.
He is charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary with person present, assault with intent to commit rape, sexual penetration by foreign object and resisting a peace officer, according to the Santa Maria Times. His bond is set at $1 million (read more)

There’s still a better than 50/50 possibility Michael Slager will be acquitted because the prosecutor is only charging capital murder.

SOUTH CAROLINA – A judge will consider granting bail during an Aug. 27 hearing for the former North Charleston police officer charged with murder in Walter Scott’s shooting death.

Circuit Judge Clifton Newman will preside over the 10 a.m. bond hearing at the Charleston County Judicial Center at Broad and Meeting streets, prosecutors and attorneys involved with the case said Thursday. (more…)

Update GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) – Grand Rapids police say they have arrested five people for their roles in an assault captured on a cell phone video July 28. The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office has authorized charges of Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm less than Murder for four juveniles and a 17 year old.

Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm less than Murder has a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Grand Rapids Police say the investigation is still going on, and wants to thank the public for assistance in providing leads in the case.

Most readers here are familiar with the set-up; Marilyn Mosby and Angela Corey followed the same plan. Unfortunately most of those who rely on the MSM will be unaware the extent of the prosecutor railroading.

This new motion by the defense reveals a few new aspects: 
#1) The prosecutor in charge of the case, Janice Bledsoe (also partner of WBAL-TV reporter) was the defense attorney for Freddie Gray in a prior case. 
#2) Bledsoe told police in this case, not to investigate the evidence that Gray ‘intentionally injured himself’. 
#3) Bledsoe also did not tell the Medical Examiner, that witness Donta Allen heard Gray trying to injure himself.  
BALTIMORE – The police detectives who investigated the death of Freddie Gray were told that he had a history of participating in “crash-for-cash” schemes — injuring himself in law enforcement settings to collect settlements — but were advised by a state prosecutor not to pursue the information, according to defense attorneys for the six officers charged in Gray’s arrest and death. Breitbart has a brief outline of Nation of Islam’s head, Louis Farrakhan, speech in Miami last week.  He called for “10,000 fearless men” to “rise up and kill those who kill us; stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling!”

“I’m looking for 10,000 in the midst of a million. Ten thousand fearless men who say death is sweeter than continued life under tyranny. Death is sweeter than continuing to live and bury our children while the white folks give our killers hamburgers. Death is sweeter than watching us slaughter each other to the joy of a 400-year-old enemy.

Death is sweeter. The Quran teaches persecution is worse than slaughter. Then it says retaliation is prescribed in matters of the slain. Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breasts of those whose children have been slain. ST. LOUIS • A Bellefontaine Neighbors man was charged Sunday with ramming a St. Louis squad car and injuring two city officers on Friday night.

Kevin Labriado, 48, of the 1500 block of Comet Drive, was charged Sunday with two counts of second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and child endangerment.

Police said in court records that Labriado rammed a police car from behind about 8:35 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Riverview Boulevard. The two officers in the car, 33 and 25 years old, were on patrol at the time and believed it was an accident until Labriado struck their squad car a second time. (more…)

Update to this story:

NASHVILLE – The suspect wanted for shooting Memphis Police Officer Sean Bolton has been taken into custody, ending a massive manhunt.

According to WREG, 29-year-old Tremaine Wilbourn was taken into custody Monday afternoon.

Three separate U.S. Marshals said they had caught suspected police killer.

A Press conference is scheduled to happen shortly.

The Shelby county Sheriff’s Department wrote on their Facebook page:

At the end of the day it’s not about who got him, but that its over, for now.

Now we hope Officer Bolton can truly rest, that his family can begin to grieve, and that as a community we can all begin to heal.

Yet again, the transparency here is obvious. Marilyn Mosby doesn’t want to allow a commission to analyze the root cause of the Baltimore homicide rate; why, because -at the core- it’s her earlier activist, anti-cop, decisions that are creating the hostile city culture.

Through her efforts, and those of the predominantly black city leadership, they have created a petri-dish of empowered lawlessness while simultaneously undermining the lawful authority of the police officers who are charged with controlling the chaos.

Progressives of every stripe always attempt to avoid the consequences from their ideological constructs; to include hiding and masking the outcomes.

Appears to be a vengeance murder. Apparently a man drove up to a courthouse in Mississippi as a defendant was arriving for a status hearing. Shot him once in the chest, laid down the weapon and surrendered.
