Texas Judge Rules Obamacare Unconstitutional, Primary Issue Surrounds Individual Mandate, (ruling pdf included)…

U.S. District in Texas, Judge Reed O’Connor (Fort Worth) has agreed with a coalition of 19 states that Obamacare is structurally unconstitutional without an enforced federal mandate that requires individual participation. (full ruling pdf below)

Absent the enforcement of the individual mandate, Judge O’Conner ruled it was impossible for the Obamacare law to remain.  Texas and the 19 state coalition successfully argued they’ve been harmed by an increase in the number of people on state-funded insurance rolls.
The plaintiffs argued: when Congress repealed the tax penalty last year for the individual mandate; they eliminated the U.S. Supreme Court’s prior rationale for finding the ACA constitutional in 2012. The Texas judge agreed.
Judge O’Conner found it is clear the individual mandate is the linchpin of the law “without marching through every nook and cranny of the ACA’s 900-plus pages. The court must find the individual mandate inseverable from the ACA,” he said. “To find otherwise would be to introduce an entirely new regulatory scheme never intended by Congress or signed by the president.”

President Trump Fires VA Secretary David Shulkin…

When President Trump took office the VA was undergoing an effort to reform how healthcare was provided to the veterans served. In an effort to provide as much room possible for the reform effort to show improvement President Trump retained Obama’s selected VA change-agent David Shulkin. However, a year later with little progress, and a VA Secretary embroiled in personal spending controversies, and President Trump’s had enough.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump fired Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin on Wednesday in the wake of a bruising ethics scandal and a mounting rebellion within the agency.

[…] Trump is nominating Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson to succeed Shulkin, a former Obama administration official and the first non-veteran ever to head the VA. Jackson has served since 2013 as the Physician to the President, and gained a national profile earlier this year for holding a sweeping press conference on the president’s health.

President Trump Signs Executive Order To Promote Healthcare Choices and Options…

President Trump has been working on an alternative regulatory policy initiative to workaround the lack of congressional action on healthcare. Today President Trump unveils the MAGA healthcare initiative that allows HHS to permit groups of people to form “Health Associations” and seek competitive health insurance options across state lines.
One of the biggest benefits to allowing “Health Associations” is that the group policies will not be bound to the same ObamaCare insurance mandates and will likely be lower-cost insurance products. This isn’t a government mandate. It isn’t a subsidy. It isn’t a tax. Rather, it is the removal of government regulation and barriers to the best possible health care for millions of people.

EXPANDING ACCESS TO MORE AFFORDABLE OPTIONS: President Donald J. Trump is taking action to increase the healthcare choices for millions of Americans, potentially allowing some employers to join together across State lines to offer coverage.

Interesting Report: President Trump Preparing Executive Order Allowing Insurance Sales Across State Lines…

An interesting report out of Washington DC highlights President Trump considering an executive order to allow health insurance policies to be sold across state lines.  Given the scope of the flexibility granted to HHS within the original ObamaCare construct this seems rather plausible.
Additionally, this report gains accuracy when considering how the corporate media apparatus have been targeting HHS Secretary Tom Price in the last several days. Attacking people of influence based on their threat level to the corporate administrative state is how DC and their corporate media apparatus work together.

WASHINGTON DC –  President Trump is preparing an executive order to allow people to purchase health insurance across state lines, a reform conservatives have long championed as a way to bring costs down and stir greater competition in the national marketplace.
The executive action gives the White House a chance to follow through on at least one promise related to healthcare reform after Senate Republicans’ second attempt to overhaul Obamacare failed this week. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul first mentioned the action during a TV appearance Wednesday morning, saying Trump was considering taking matters into his own hands.

Senator John McCain Opposes Any Attempt at Obamacare Repeal…

Will Rogers never met Senator John McCain.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has paid millions to the GOPe to retain Obamacare on behalf of multinational corporations who exploit and erode the U.S. economy.  The largest beneficiaries of those payments has long been the decepticons within the senate. McCain’s position is not a surprise.  Sarah Palin endorsed Senator John McCain during his 2012 reelection bid.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Senator John McCain said on Friday he opposes the latest Republican bill to dismantle Obamacare, dealing the measure what could be a fatal blow given the party’s slim Senate majority.

With several other Republicans still undecided on the measure, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said earlier this week he intended to bring it to the Senate floor for a vote next week, though he did not promise to do so.

A vote would set the stage for another dramatic Capitol Hill decision on the 2010 law that brought health insurance to millions of Americans and became former Democratic President Barack Obama’s signature domestic achievement.

Sunday Talks: Nancy Pelosi With Colleague Chris Wallace Discussing Healthcare and "Better Way" Plan…

If there was any doubt the interests of the Administrative State intersect with the guardians of the Swamp, well, this interview between two aligned swamp creatures should put those doubts to rest.

Sunday Talks: Michael Needham Discusses How To Remove Congressional Bailouts…

Michael Needham appears on Fox Weekend News to discuss a possibility of President Trump removing the tax-payer funded subsidies for individual members of congress, and their staff, that allows them to avoid feeling the cost of ObamaCare.
