After reporting for weeks on the DNC talking points about how horrible Trump was going to trick them with tax cuts, CBS News engineers lost one of their false narratives today.  Despite their earnest efforts, they were forced to broadcast financial results from three families they used as representative examples of the Trump tax plan.

In an effort to meet the goal of signing the Tax Cut Bill before Christmas, and in order to initiate the tax reforms in FY 2018, President Trump signs the tax reform bill today in the oval office.

WHITE HOUSE – AMERICA’S ECONOMY IS FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS: President Donald J. Trump has unleashed America’s economic growth engine and ushered in a new era of economic optimism.

• Under President Trump, nearly 1.7 million new jobs have been created.
  • 159,000 jobs have been created in the manufacturing industry.
  • 57,000 jobs have been created in the mining and logging industries.

• The unemployment rate has fallen to 4.1 percent, the lowest in nearly 17 years.
  • Thirteen States have reached record low unemployment rates.

• Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the United States has grown by more than 3 percent in the last two quarters.
  • The GDP growth rate was 3.3 percent in the third quarter of this year.
  • The GDP growth rate was 3.1 percent in the second quarter of this year.
• Productivity in the United States economy grew to 3 percent last quarter.

Justice-time for Christmas?  Well, it would appear AG Jeff Sessions has instructed the DOJ to follow something similar to the basic investigative outline CTH recommended on November 3rd regarding Uranium One. When Katica discovered the FOIA documents an investigative trail seemed to almost create itself.   We shared:

“Put the FBI special agent together with the unnamed FBI informant, question them, and discover what they know about the entire Uranium One deal – and there’s the road-map to tear this thing wide open.”

Well, today:

(WASHINGTON DC) – On the orders of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Justice Department prosecutors have begun asking FBI agents to explain the evidence they found in a now dormant criminal investigation into a controversial uranium deal that critics have linked to Bill and Hillary Clinton, multiple law enforcement officials told NBC News.
The interviews with FBI agents are part of the Justice Department’s effort to fulfill a promise an assistant attorney general made to Congress last month to examine whether a special counsel was warranted to look into what has become known as the Uranium One deal, a senior Justice Department official said.

President Trump delivers remarks during a full cabinet meeting earlier today. (fourth full cabinet meeting in December) While celebrating passage of the historic tax reform bill, the President asked HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson to lead the cabinet in prayer.

The Senate is voting on the final Tax Reform Bill tonight. According to Democrats as soon as the votes are cast people will begin to die (we await confirmation). Unfortunately due to a Parliamentary Rule the Senate Bill will then need to be voted upon by the House tomorrow.  UPDATE: Bill Passes 51-48
