Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Holds a Townhall Event at the Villages

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is a rising star in the republican party mostly for his MAGA alignment and steadfast approach toward common sense governance. DeSantis has been a great leader for the state of Florida and has nationwide recognition for his leadership style and fearless approach toward confronting the bias in media.

At 42-years-old with three kids DeSantis really does work tirelessly on behalf of his state. He is well known for traveling almost every day to meet people in every area of the state while conducting official state business. Grounded in pragmatic conservative principles the Florida governor has a firm commitment to individual reliance, freedom and liberty; this outlook has been clear in his approach toward the COVID crisis.

Yesterday Governor DeSantis held a townhall event at The Villages, and went into more details about both his personal perspectives and his outlook on current political issues that concern the voting electorate. The townhall event hosted by Newsmax is a great opportunity to get to know DeSantis.

Fund The Police – Governor Ron DeSantis Announces $1,000 Bonuses For Police Officers and First Responders

As many local and state governments’ debate the Marxist request to defund the police department, at least one governor goes in the exact opposite direction.  Today Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced:

“I will sign into law $1,000 bonuses for every sworn law enforcement officer, every EMT, every firefighter and every paramedic in the state of Florida”.

Patriots Day, April 19th – Mr. Paul Revere Explains The Battle of Lexington and Concord in His Own Words

Patriots Day…

A friend asked: “How do you celebrate Patriots Day”?  Which, perhaps, should spur me to share my own thoughts on this day of consequence.

Many are familiar with the poem Paul Revere’s ride; however, far fewer know that Paul Revere actually memorialized the events of the April 18 and 19, 1775, in an eight page letter written several years later. Each Patriots Day I remind myself to read his letter from a copy handed down; and I think about how Paul Revere was really just a common man of otherwise undue significance…. yet capable to the task at hand.

To me everything about the heart of Revere, which you can identify within his own writing, is what defines an American ‘patriot’. There is no grand prose, there is no outlook of being a person of historical significance; there is just a simple recollection of his involvement, an ordinary man in extraordinary times.

Unsure if anyone else would enjoy I have tracked down an on-line source for sharing; and provide a transcript below (all misspelling is with the original).

Paul Revere personally recounts his famous ride. – In this undated letter Paul Revere summarizes the activities surrounding his famous ride on 18 April 1775. He recounts how Dr. Joseph Warren urged him to ride to Lexington to warn John Hancock and Samuel Adams of British troop movements. He arranged to signal the direction of the troops with lanterns from Old North Church and then had friends row him across the Charles River, borrowing a horse for his ride.

Revere wrote this letter at the request of Jeremy Belknap, corresponding secretary of the Massachusetts Historical Society. Revere signed his name to the letter but then wrote above it “A Son of Liberty of the year 1775” and beside it “do not print my name.” Nonetheless, the MHS included Revere’s name when it printed the letter in 1798.

A Rebel With a Cause, The Battle of Tinhorn Flats

Friend of the Treehouse, Peter Duke, introduced me to this story and it is blood-boiling, yet awesome.

A young man named Lucas Lepejian is in a battle with Burbank authorities who are trying to run him out of business.  Lucas is the 20-year-old son of Baret Lepejian the proprietor of a long-standing western-themed restaurant called Tinhorn Flats; a well known place to dine in Burbank, California.

Local authorities have attempted to shut down Tinhorn Flats repeatedly.  Each time Lucas defies the orders and reopens.

Lucas has been arrested three times in defiance of the ridiculous COVID shutdown.

The issue now is personal, the authorities are intent on destroying his business… Lucas, and a small battalion of supporters, remain defiant.

TIMELINE & DETAILS: Tinhorn Flats is the oldest bar in Burbank.  In March of 2020 they shut down in compliance with state guidelines.   They reopened in November 2020, and when the second lockdown was announced their defiance began.

Burbank authorities first cited and fined Tinhorn Flats.  Lucas refused to pay and stayed open.  Burbank authorities cut their utilities.  Lucas brought in generators and stayed open.   Burbank authorities Red tagged his restaurant and locked the doors.  Lucas cut the locks and reopened.  Burbank authorities boarded up the doors and ‘red tagged’ again as unsafe.  Lucas sawed off the boards and reopened his business.  Burbank police then arrested Lucas.  Lucas made bail and was released.

A Message From Rush Limbaugh to President Donald J Trump

Posted without commentary because words do not suffice.  A Message From Limbaugh:

“My days on earth are numbered; But before I fade away, there is something important I need to say. It may not be important to anyone else; but it’s important to me. Win, lose or fraud President Trump, I just want to say thank you for the last four years.

Thank you for making it cool to be an American again. Thank you for showing us that we don’t need to be under China’s thumb anymore economically, or any other way. Thank you for one of the strongest economies we’ve ever experienced in my lifetime.

Thank you for all you have done for the minority communities, and the outstanding decrease in the unemployment rate you had. Thank you for making it feel good to love our country and to be a proud patriot again.”
