Inside a Baltimore Sun article discussing reactions to the firing of Police Chief Anthony Batts, Councilman Nick Mosby, Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby’s husband, gives his opinion about the police union’s post-riot “After Action Report”.

Nick Mosby says he too wants to know why the police response to the rioting mob was so ineffectual and incompetent:

[…]  Mosby said he hadn’t yet reviewed the police union’s report. But he questioned why such a report hasn’t been issued by the police department itself or City Hall.

“Folks want answers,” he said.

Anyone who has spent time following CNN reporting fully understand that ideology drives production content.  And, at times, their little “stories” get unexpected exposed…  Tommy Finnegan strikes again. 

(Via WFB)  CNN correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who served as a White House fellow before embarking on a career in journalism, has been accused of falsely claiming that he helped perform brain surgery on an eight-year-old while covering the April earthquake in Nepal.

The Global Press Journal reported Tuesday that the girl identified in the CNN report as having undergone a craniotomy at the hands of Gupta never actually received surgery.

In a video that aired on CNN April 28, Gupta appeared next to stretcher-bound eight-year-old Salina Dahal, examining her CAT scan and commenting on her “dire” condition.

“She has a fractured skull, a blood clot, and her brain is swelling,” he said. “Without emergent surgery, she’ll have permanent damage. Or, like so many other earthquake victims, she’ll die.” Later footage showed Gupta, clad in scrubs, appearing to complete the surgery. (more…)

Many people were shocked when Baltimore Mayor Rawlings-Blake fired the Baltimore City Police Commissioner (Chief) yesterday.   Almost everyone was left wondering exactly why did the firing take place with such fervor following the Fraternal Order of Police report.

Having followed the political fiasco since the crisis originally surfaced it is likely the answers lie in the following paragraph:

[…]  It should be noted that as part of this review, repeated requests, including a formal Maryland Public Information Act request, were made of the Baltimore Police Department to supply communications between commanders (both text and email), radio communications tapes and other documents to assist in the review. As of July 6, 2015, Baltimore City FOP Lodge #3 has only received one tape from April 27, 2015 and from only one channel — a small fraction of the information requested.

Good grief, could this flippin’ preventable murder get any more bizarre?  First we learn Kate Steinle was randomly shot by an illegal alien.  Then we learn ICE had requested notification of his release, which the Sheriff’s Department ignored.  Then the illegal alien claimed he shot Ms. Steinle accidentally while trying to shoot a sea lion (a position he has since modified).  Now it comes out the gun he used actually belonged to a “federal agent”.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — KRON 4 has learned that the gun used to kill a 32-year-old woman on San Francisco’s Pier 14 belonged to a federal agent.

A Sig Sauer pistol was used in the fatal shooting, a source told KRON 4. The gun was recovered last Thursday in the bay by a police dive team. The source described the weapon as being an expensive, high-end, common police gun.

Another source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN’s Sara Sidner that the gun belonged to a federal agent. (more…)

President Obama’s next, most likely last, hope to implement his Executive Action on Immigration will take place this week.  MSM Silent.

Texas Judge Andrew Hanen previously blocked Obama’s 2014 unconstitutional “Executive Action on immigration” which expanded deferred deportation and granted employment status for illegal aliens.   The DOJ appealed the injunction to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.  On May 26th, 2015, the DOJ lost and Hanen’s injunction was upheld by a three judge panel within the appellate court (2-1).

The DOJ had two options after their loss in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals:

♦ They could request a summary review by the U.S. Supreme Court (the 5th CCA district review SCOTUS justice is Antonin Scalia).  Or,
♦ they could ask for the entire panel (full panel) of the 5th CCA to seat and hear full oral arguments.

Two days after their appellate loss, on May 28th, the DOJ chose the latter.  An expedited hearing was scheduled for July 10th,  THIS FRIDAY. (more…)

If you saw this guy on TV in the last 36 hours you will note his smug liberal condescension oozes from his carefully parsed lips.  Immigration and Customs Enforcement had requested notification if the Illegal Alien Murderer was going to be released.  

San Fran Sheriff Mirkarimi did not want to turn over the illegal alien murderer, and he released the predator into the community to continue tracking his prey.  Kate Steinle became his next victim.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi has defended his office’s decision to release a Mexican man who was in the U.S. illegally and who is now suspected in the killing of a woman at a sightseeing pier.

Mirkarimi said that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency should earlier have issued an arrest warrant for Francisco Sanchez.

“ICE knew that he had been deported five times,” Mirkarimi said. “You would have thought he met a threshold that he required a court order or a warrant. They did not do that.” (more…)

Francisco Sanchez says he “accidentally” pulled trigger 3 times, and lived in San Francisco so he wouldn’t be deported for the 6th  time… 

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — In an interview you’ll see only on ABC7 News, the man accused of shooting and killing a young woman at San Francisco’s Pier 14 admitted to the crime and talked about where he got the gun.

Francisco Sanchez didn’t recall every detail because he says he doesn’t remember everything that happened. But in the 45 minute jailhouse interview, he revealed how the shooting went down and why he kept returning to the United States after being deported numerous times.

Steinle was shot and killed near the Ferry Building on Wednesday. Sanchez tells ABC7 News that the shooting was an accident. He says he was wandering on Pier 14 after taking sleeping pills he found in a dumpster.

Barnard: “Where did you get the gun?”
Sanchez: “In the ground. When the… when the… over there in the bench, um, um, I put my leg and I see the one T-shirt and then see over there something like that.”

He claims a gun was wrapped in that T-shirt and that it went off when he picked it up.

“Then suddenly I heard that boom boom, three times,” Sanchez said. (more…)
