Candidate Donald Trump Carries Debate Night With Authentic Political Outrage…

Initially I had to wait to debrief on the debate, because unlike all other debates this time I needed to watch it twice, in some segments three times; and look at the expression, the emotion behind the words.
Some of the things Donald Trump mentioned last night flew under the radar. Like when Trump expressed his “disappointment in congress” to uphold some semblance of constitutional oversight against a weaponized executive branch.
I found myself thinking: wow, did he really say that…
Then it all began to make sense.  This is the unchained Trump.  This is the guy, now a candidate for president, expressing why he’s in the race; a position he never actually wanted to get into…. he’s often said he’d be quite happy if someone else were doing it, for the right reasons.  But they don’t… and so he is.
And his family knew it too:
trump-family-3
This is the guy, who is genuinely PO’d at congress for letting the executive branch weaponize itself (it’s own cabinet member organizations) against its own citizenry.
This is the guy who said: “I just had to do it”…”I just had to”, letting all those reasons out for the voters to see.  Stunning, and genuinely authentic.  Trump means this stuff, if you watch him say it, you can tell.  Unlike most politicians, you can actually feel his emotion. (more…)

Two Odd Political Stories That Carry a Clintonian Style Connection….

Sometimes there are events that just create a weird spidey sense.  Here’s a few oddly disconnected things that might possibly have an intersection in the 2016 election:

FIRST:
trump-muslim-questionerRemember that odd character that showed up to a 2015 Donald Trump town hall event in New Hampshire that asked a seemingly weird and awkward question?
The guy pictured at left asked Donald Trump about deporting Muslims, about terrorist training camps in the U.S., and about President Obama being Muslim.
The entire thing just seemed like a set up at the time because of the way it was framed, and the media instantaneously jumping at the opportunity to hit Trump for not defending Obama strongly enough.
The media ran with the odd guy story for a few days, and what really made it suspicious was how the guy immediately left the building and the media’s seemed indifference to locate him etc.   It all just seemed rather odd at the time.
Well, check this out.

A Decade Ago Donald Trump Said Something Crude – Robert and Rebekah Mercer Respond…

fireworks-4
Rebekah and Robert Mercer reply:
“If Mr. Trump had told Billy Bush, whoever that is, earlier this year that he was for open borders, open trade, and executive actions in pursuit of gun control, we would certainly be rethinking our support for him.
If he had admitted to Mr. Bush that he had profited privately by allowing the sale to Russia of 20% of US uranium deposits or that he had amassed his personal fortune not by hard work in the private sector but by selling favors to foreigners on the American taxpayers’ dime, we would certainly be rethinking our support for him.
If he had argued that he needed both a public and a private position on issues facing the American public, we would certainly be rethinking our support for him. And finally if Trump had serially terrorized and silenced the victims of violent sexual assault whom he feared could damage his political career, we would most definitely be rethinking our support for him.

Donald Trump Remains The "Existential Threat" to the Professional Political Class Writ Large…

The attacks against the Donald Trump candidacy will not stop.  The various constructs of the professional political class, the UniParty, Wall Street, DC, K-Street and the entire apparatus of the corporate media complex have no alternative.
trump lion - romney rat 2
Donald Trump will always remain as the existential threat to their entire financial and ideological construct.
Those who oppose Donald Trump’s candidacy are holding a no retreat position.  There is no middle ground.  If Hillary Clinton is defeated, all those mentioned entities lose.  There are trillions of dollars at stake.  The entire life’s work of major leftist organizations will be destroyed.  It really is that simple.
If you are waiting for all of those oppositional forces to stop lying, scheming, falsifying, manipulating and gaslighting – stop waiting; they will never cease.  Period.

1995 New York Times Crowns Donald Trump: "The Comeback King"…

It would appear the New York Times had no reason to violate federal law and print candidate Donald Trump’s 1995 tax return after all.  In 1995 the Times specifically wrote about the collapse of the real-estate financial markets, and called Donald Trump:

The Comeback King“…

donald-trump-95-2October 25th 1995 New York TimesCrowning the Comeback King – Though there are still four years to go in the 90’s, business and government leaders in New York honored Donald J. Trump yesterday for pulling off what they called “the comeback of the decade.”
Mr. Trump, the developer who came to epitomize opulent wealth during the 80’s before tumbling into deep financial trouble, has managed to erase much of his debt and is moving ahead with major projects at a time other developers are idling.
Judging from the attention showered on him yesterday at the Union League Club, some of New York’s civic and business leaders are quite captivated by Mr. Trump, despite the financial uncertainties that still surround some of his properties. (more…)

Flashback: Reuters Audit Finds Clinton Charity Hiding Foreign Donations on IRS Tax Filings…

With all the MSM banter about taxes today in the headlines, here’s a report that was conveniently dismissed by the same pearl-clutching media.  In April 2015 Reuters reported on Hillary Clinton’s family charities falsifying tax filings to the IRS and not reporting donations from foreign governments...
(Reuters) Hillary Clinton’s family’s charities are refiling at least five annual tax returns after a Reuters review found errors in how they reported donations from governments, and said they may audit other Clinton Foundation returns in case of other errors.

[…]  The charities’ errors generally take the form of under-reporting or over-reporting, by millions of dollars, donations from foreign governments, or in other instances omitting to break out government donations entirely when reporting revenue, the charities confirmed to Reuters. (more…)

New York Times Publishes Tax Returns of a Private Citizen, in Shallow Attempt To Assist Hillary Clinton…

The New York Times has published part of the tax returns of a private citizen in an effort to score political points for a candidate they endorse, Hillary ClintonThat should be the real headline people pause and think about.

Trump thumbs upThe front pages of the tax returns themselves are essentially a non-issue, representing the 1995 gross business loss incurred by candidate Donald Trump who operates a massive conglomeration of business entities.
The anti-Trump political angle is easily identifiable within the extensive article use of: “could have”, “might be”, “may have”, phrases used throughout the woven narrative.  Journalistic “narratives” are rarely based on facts.
The identified $916 million single year operating income loss is no different than current losses of Amazon, Facebook, Twitter and a host of other corporations and businesses.
Actually, Donald Trump’s 1995 loss is smaller than the operating loss the New York Times reported when it sold the Boston Globe in 2013 for a net loss of $1.03 billion.
The Times purchased the Boston Globe in ’93 for $1.1 billion and sold it in 2013 for $70 million, a loss of $1.03 billion.   However, for some reason it’s doubtful the Times will publish their own 2013 tax returns.  That doesn’t meet the political need.
