Zuckerberg’s META, Parent Company of Facebook, Plans to Announce Tech Platform Layoffs After Midterm Election

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Facebook’s parent company, Meta, is planning to lay off people after the midterm election next week.  Meta has lost 70% of its stock value after announcing poor user engagement and financial support last week while investors fled to the exits.

In the big picture, those companies who were ideologically aligned with the Biden administration’s larger political efforts will all likely start announcing layoffs soon. There’s a better than reasonable likelihood some companies have deferred layoff announcements in an effort to help the employment stats for the Biden Administration.

(Via Wall Street Journal) – […] The layoffs are expected to affect many thousands of employees and an announcement is planned to come as soon as Wednesday, according to the people. Meta reported more than 87,000 employees at the end of September. Company officials already told employees to cancel nonessential travel beginning this week, the people said.

The planned layoffs would be the first broad head-count reductions to occur in the company’s 18-year history. While smaller on a percentage basis than the cuts at Twitter Inc. this past week, which hit about half of that company’s staff, the number of Meta employees expected to lose their jobs could be the largest to date at a major technology corporation in a year that has seen a tech-industry retrenchment.

The cuts expected to be announced this week follow several months of more targeted staffing reductions in which employees were managed out or saw their roles eliminated.

“Realistically, there are probably a bunch of people at the company who shouldn’t be here,” Mr. Zuckerberg told employees at a companywide meeting at the end of June. (read more)

Sunday Talks, CBS Cybersecurity Expert States Global Crisis More Likely if U.S. Blue Checks are Changed on Twitter

The media pearl-clutching over changes to the Twitter social media platform has become detached from reality.  During a Face the Nation discussion today, a very serious Margaret Brennan and Kris Krebs, former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) outline the national security risks created by Elon Musk’s change to the “verified Twitter user” system.  The “blue checks.”

Mr Krebs outlined how bad actors from Russia, Iran and China could potentially write mean words on Twitter and create social collapse in the United States as a result of election interference, defined as misinformation and disinformation.  Additionally, the unified western military order is at risk from the national security threat posed by allowing random unmonitored discussion on a social media platform.  With the midterm election this week, people could die if Elon Musk removes the control filters on the global conversation.  WATCH:

[Transcript] – […] BRENNAN: We return to our conversation now about election security with CBS News, cybersecurity expert and analyst Chris Krebs. Chris, I want to talk about something that’s happening right now. Social media has already changed the way we communicate and, certainly, our political world. President Biden said a few days ago that he has concerns about billionaire Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter- said, “the platform spews lies all across the world. There’s no editors anymore in America, there are no editors, how do we expect kids to be able to understand what is at stake?” It’s not just kids, right? What concerns do you have about this happening just days before the election, these changes to Twitter?

As anticipated, Blue Check Twitter is big mad today….

(Politico) – Elon Musk began firing hundreds of Twitter employees on Friday, four days before the midterm elections, including members of the teams that work on U.S. elections and content moderation on the high-profile social-media platform.

Elon Musk Sends Notification of Layoffs to Employees – Twitter Memo States Job Terminations Begin Friday

Elon Musk has sent an internal memo to company employees notifying them of layoffs to begin tomorrow.  The Verge obtained a copy of the memo:

Team,

In an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, we will go through the difficult process of reducing our global workforce on Friday. We recognize that this will impact a number of individuals who have made valuable contributions to Twitter, but this action is unfortunately necessary to ensure the company’s success moving forward.

Given the nature of our distributed workforce and our desire to inform impacted individuals as quickly as possible, communications for this process will take place via email. By 9AM PST on Friday Nov. 4th, everyone will receive an individual email with the subject line: Your Role at Twitter. Please check your email, including your spam folder.

Multinational Advertisers Begin Pulling Out of Twitter

In the prediction section of the recent Twitter discussion {Go Deep} CTH mentioned the reason and unspoken motive behind a prediction that multinational corporations would start to pull their advertising money from Elon Musk.

We are simply in an era where there is no distinction between the WEF guidance for multinational corporations and the instructions toward governments’ they support.  Free speech and freedom of expression are against both their interests.

Multinational corporations are political entities.  The former distinctions between the private and public sector have been purposefully erased.  Evidence can be found in the vaccination mandate and within corporate responses to voter outcomes during elections. {Go Deep}

As predicted, it begins….

(Via Wall Street Journal) – Food company General Mills Inc., Oreo maker Mondelez International Inc., Pfizer Inc. and Volkswagen/Audi are among a growing list of brands that have temporarily paused their Twitter advertising in the wake of the takeover of the company by Elon Musk, according to people familiar with the matter.

Some advertisers are concerned that Mr. Musk could scale back content moderation, which they worry would lead to an increase in objectionable content on the platform. Others are temporarily halting their ads because of the uncertainty at the company as top executives exit and Mr. Musk considers a raft of changes, some of the people said.

Rumble Rejects French Govt Demand for Control Over Content

The team at Rumble Video have taken a strong position in defense of free speech, an open internet and protection of a diverse public square.

Apparently, the French government demanded that Rumble remove content the government does not support. [Source] Rumble said no.

Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski then followed up delivering a statement via Twitter: “The French Government has demanded that Rumble (@rumblevideo) block Russian news sources. Like @elonmusk, I won’t move our goal posts for any foreign government. Rumble will turn off France entirely (France isn’t material to us) and we will challenge the legality of this demand.”

Pavlovski and Rumble being transparent and making the demand from the French government public raises a few questions.

Rumble said ‘no’, but who said ‘yes’?

Tucker Carlson Discusses Leaked Documents Reflecting Direct DHS Portals to Social Media Companies

My suspicious cat sensibilities are triggered by the timing of these “leaked explosive documents,” in relation to the Elon Musk Twitter takeover.  That said, here is Tucker Carlson interviewing Intercept journalist Lee Fang. {Direct Rumble Link} – WATCH:

.

Lee Fang… “Over the last five years“… Yeah, bulls**t on that. Sorry.  CTH has outlined in painstakingly granular detail, the weaponization of the networks involved began immediately after January 2009 – specifically right after Obama’s Cairo speech that kicked off the ‘Arab Spring‘ movement.  That’s when Facebook and Twitter were recruited for participation in the construct.

After a few years of beta-testing the govt-corporate relationship, and simultaneously measuring the influence factor, things sped up, and by 2011 Obama-era DHS operatives began collaborating with Big Tech in constructing the modern surveillance and influence system for domestic rollout.

This system didn’t just pop-up “over the past five years.”   A timeframe which, not coincidentally according to the Intercept, removes Barack H Obama from the era of accountability.  The effort to construct a fraudulent timeline makes me even more suspicious of this “leak.”

Tucker Carlson saying “I’m not sure why you wrote this“… indicates to me his own awareness of the suspicious timing.   Watch the other hand.

Catherine Englebrecht and Gregg Phillips Put in Jail for Refusing to Outline Sources Who Revealed Konnech U.S. Election Data Transfer to China

True the Vote founder Catherine Englebrecht and election data security analyst, Gregg Phillips, have been held in contempt of court and placed in jail for failing to outline the participants in a 2020 hotel discussion that revealed the Konnech election data compromise that was transmitted to Chinese networks.  {Go Deep}

On October 4th, the CEO of  Konnech – a company specializing in proprietary PollChief software to manage election workers – was arrested. [link] Konnech Corporation Chief Executive Officer Eugene Yu was arrested for exploiting access to U.S. election data, including election worker information, and transferring the files to China.

The information that led to Yu’s arrest was the information given to the FBI and first revealed to Englebrecht and Phillips.  However, the Konnech corporation filed a civil lawsuit against Englebrecht and Phillips claiming defamation.  A Texas federal judge allowed the civil lawsuit to continue despite the arrest of Eugene Yu.

Federal Judge Kenneth Hoyt demanded that Phillips and Englebrecht reveal the names of everyone who was in a hotel room when the original data files were presented to True the Vote.  Englebrecht and Phillips stated they did not ever possess the data file, do not have it and refused to name all the participants who may have seen it.   Today Judge Hoyt threw them in jail until Englebrecht and Phillips give up the names.

(Post Millennial) – On Monday, US Marshalls took into custody Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips of True the Vote, for refusing to identify a confidential informant.

Federal Judge Kenneth Hoyt delivered the order, holding the two in contempt of court for refusing to identify the informant, according to independent journalist Ivory Hecker.

Hoyt ordered that Engelbrcht and Phillips be held in custody for at least a day, until they divulge that information.  (read more)

Musk Begins Releasing Internal Notes from Twitter Execs Highlighting Intent to Hide True “Objectives and Key Results” During Lawsuit

An interesting dynamic begins as Elon Musk takes ownership of Twitter promising increased transparency.  Mr. Musk tweeted out an internal message from Yoel Roth (still employed) to some unknown entity where the head of Safety and Integrity of Twitter tellingly implied the executives in charge were withholding information from Musk and lawyers during the lawsuit.

Yoel Roth is the Head of Twitter Safety and Integrity; his message on 5/17/22 reads, “But also lol if Amir continues to BS me, my escalation route is “Amir’s OKRs [Objectives and Key Results] are entirely based on fraudulent metrics and he doesn’t care and may actively be trying to hide the ball.”  “Literally doing what Elon is accusing us of doing.”  [SOURCE]

Musk forwarded the message publicly saying, “Wachtell & Twitter board deliberately hid this evidence from the court. Stay tuned, more to come …

If the Twitter executives have left a trail of deception from opposition and the subsequent civil litigation during the takeover bid, Mr. Musk could have standing to withhold any exit compensation package, pending new civil litigation as an outcome of these discoveries.  It will be interesting to see how this proceeds.
