German Farmers Enter Week #2 Steadfast: “Take back the proposed tax increases, then we’ll pull back”

The German farmers are not negotiating with a government who is supposed to represent their interests.  No, the farmers are telling their elected officials what they will accept, and what they will not accept.  And this approach has the German government in fits of apoplexy….  The farmers are revolting.

[Background Here] The second week of massive protests in the streets of Germany has the overwhelming majority of the people in support of the farmers.  However, to show just how large the gap between the people and their government has become, the German officials think a process of negotiating terms is possible.  The farmers are having none of that.

Really, this is awesome to see.  The Dutch farmers are in full support and truckers from around the EU are aligned with the German farmers.  The simple message is “enough is enough” and there are more EU interests that just the German government paying attention.  Keep in mind, the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos began today.

GERMANY – Farmers clogged Berlin streets with their tractors on Monday, honking their horns in protest at a plan to scrap tax breaks on the diesel they use, the climax of a week of protests that has tapped into wider discontent with Germany’s government.

Columns of tractors rolled into the capital ahead of the demonstration at the landmark Brandenburg Gate. Over the past week, farmers have blocked highway entrances and slowed traffic across Germany with their protests, intent on pushing Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s government to abandon the planned cuts entirely.

Sketchy Stuff Again – This Announcement and Story Just Doesn’t Pass Sniff Test

I hate to be captain obvious again, but maybe people have not noticed this story.  Something isn’t right and just doesn’t add up.  The events took place last Thursday, the comments by National Security Council spokesman John Kirby are today.

Look at the contrast between what U.S. Central Command put out -vs- the first AP report on the same incident.

[CentCom Source LINK]

Now look at the AP FIRST NOTICE reporting:

Two U.S. Navy SEALs are missing after conducting a nighttime boarding mission Thursday off the coast of Somalia, according to three U.S. officials.

The SEALs were on an interdiction mission, climbing up a vessel when one got knocked off by high waves. Under their protocol, when one SEAL is overtaken the next jumps in after them.

Both SEALs are still missing. A search and rescue mission is underway and the waters in the Gulf of Aden, where they were operating, are warm, two of the U.S. officials said. (read more)

NBC Admits Deep State Exists – Key Operative, Mary McCord

NBC published an extensive article outlining how the DC administrative state is responding to the potential for another President Trump victory [SEE HERE].

Once again, a very specific name surfaces who is part of the organizational effort to stop Donald Trump.  {EMPHASIS mine}

(NBC) – […]  Now, bracing for Trump’s potential return, a loose-knit network of public interest groups and lawmakers is quietly devising plans to try to foil any efforts to expand presidential power, which could include pressuring the military to cater to his political needs.

Those taking part in the effort told NBC News they are studying Trump’s past actions and 2024 policy positions so that they will be ready if he wins in November. That involves preparing to take legal action and send letters to Trump appointees spelling out consequences they’d face if they undermine constitutional norms.

“We’re already starting to put together a team to think through the most damaging types of things that he [Trump] might do so that we’re ready to bring lawsuits if we have to,” said Mary McCord, executive director of the Institution for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at Georgetown Law.

Part of the aim is to identify like-minded organizations and create a coalition to challenge Trump from day one, those taking part in the discussions said. Some participants are combing through policy papers being crafted for a future conservative administration. They’re also watching the interviews that Trump allies are giving to the press for clues to how a Trump sequel would look. (more)

There she is again, Mary McCord, the former head of the DOJ National Security Division, and the one specific functionary that is found at the epicenter of every single deep state Lawfare operation against President Trump.   However, that citation is not the biggest reveal in the past several days….

CBS Poll – President Trump Extends Lead

The latest CBS polling [SEE HERE] reflects what most people already know, President Trump is the choice of the American middle class.

However, what’s funny about the poll is the narrative that CBS blends into the outline of the result where they ponder why the media effort to promote and support Nikki Haley has not been more effective.  That’s funny stuff, I don’t care who y’are.

CBS – Donald Trump’s support among national Republican primary voters has now risen to its highest level yet.

His legal issues obviously haven’t hurt his standing with primary voters and some of his recent controversial statements resonate with many GOP and “MAGA” voters.

Republican voters continue to believe Trump is their best bet to beat Joe Biden in November, even as Nikki Haley leads Joe Biden by a wider margin in a general election match-up than either Trump or Ron DeSantis. We show why in this analysis.  (read more)

President Trump Calls Out Vivek Ramaswamy, “Very Sly” but “Vivek is not MAGA”

Good to see this. Good timing also.

Vivek Ramaswamy has been promoting and presenting himself as the ‘safe alternative’ to President Trump while simultaneously pushing a constant talking point that “they will never let him win.” At a certain point the linguistic programming starts to be too obvious. I’ve said it a thousand times, and I will repeat it again: trust your instincts.

[SOURCE]

“Very sly”…  It would appear to me that President Trump can see it, sense it and notices it also.

If Vivek Ramaswamy was authentic to his words, if he really wanted to advance the America First movement, he would accept the futility of his position and endorse Donald J. Trump.  His unwillingness to do that says more about him, about his [¹]’glowing‘ motives and intents, than anything else he might say.

What you are doing speaks so loudly, I cannot hear a word you are saying.

LOL – Ron DeSantis Presented a Participation Trophy in Iowa

This is more than a little funny.  The stuff people do can just make you laugh out loud sometimes.

Some guy interrupts Ron DeSantis as he begins to start his remarks at a campaign event to present the Florida governor with an actual participation trophy.  It took a few seconds for people to realize DeSantis was being trolled.  Making matters all that much funnier, Casey DeSantis eventually plays the role of security and stands between Ron and the guy with the trophy.  WATCH:

Ouch, what this guy did was brutal; however, the reality of the Iowa situation makes his snarky trolling that much more effective.

Team Ron DeSantis put all their chips into winning the Iowa caucuses.  They visited all 99-counties and spent more time in Iowa than any other candidate.  However, all of that effort exhausted, all of that money spent, all of that strategic planning and DeSantis is now in third place and likely to get beaten by Nikki Haley for the first-loser trophy.

Frank Luntz Has Big Sad – Predicts Donald Trump Will Win 2024 Election

When asked what he would do if he had to place $150,000 on a bet for the outcome of the 2024 election, the former Fox News analyst, and Kevin McCarthy roommate, takes a big breath, heavy sigh and says “Trump.”

[Insert dramatic background music here because it’s, well, Frank Luntz. What a doofus.]

2024 – The Backfire

There are hundreds of emails that flow into the mail center of CTH daily.  Amid many of them we see this sentiment in various forms, generally as an outcome of a deep dive article that cannot be “pretended away.”

This is a very, very common refrain:

“I did not vote for Donald Trump in either of the other two US Presidential elections in which he ran. I will for him this year.

The choice, in this year’s US Presidential election, has been an easy one for me to make.

I’m not a supporter of Donald Trump.

I’m a defender of Donald Trump.

I have absolutely no doubt that I will vote next November 5th. I’ve no doubt that I will vote for Donald Trump. His opponents have been over the top (as Trump said accurately) in “weaponizing the justice system.” Undermining the electoral system, too, I might add.

And, while we’re added, let’s give some thought to the very most basic tenet of American justice: the presumption of innocence. It’s a little bit early in the nation’s decline to abandon that, isn’t it? Give it another 20 years, then sink that low.

I believe every American who knows anything at all about the nation’s foundational principles, and believes in those principles, should be a defender of Donald Trump.

Let him run. Let him win if he can. Denying him that opportunity is not a violation of his right to seek election; it’s a violation of the right of every voting American citizen whose choice for the Presidency is Donald Trump.  I just became one of them.”

REUTERS: World Economic Forum Meets with Trump Discussion at Forefront – Global Corporations and Politicians Fearful of Trump Impact on World

The world’s largest multinational corporations, bankers and finance agents are meeting in Davos at the World Economic Forum next week – gathering together with their political beneficiaries. However, as noted by Reuters, the biggest concern of the assembly of global influencers is the risk that Donald J. Trump represents.

….There are trillions at stake.

Ending the Ukraine war would be detrimental to the group; this is one of the immediate concerns they carry. President Trump negotiating a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine (or Israel/Hamas) conflict is against the interests of the multinationals.

Downstream issues around the elimination of the climate change agenda, the Trump impediment to the creation of central bank digital currencies, the rise of nationalism as a protective measure against the growing impact of global corporations, and the Trump opposition to globalist institutions like the World Health Organization, World Trade Organization or Western World Bank are also discussion topics.

In essence, the World Economic Forum fears Donald J. Trump. Ironically, and yet not coincidentally, the theme of the WEF gathering this year is “rebuilding trust.” However, fear of the non-pretending is what this Reuters article is describing.

REUTERS – The most talked-about person in Davos next week will be nowhere near the Swiss mountain resort. As politicians, financiers and chief executives converge for this year’s World Economic Forum, Donald Trump will be 7,500 kilometres away in Iowa, starting his quest to win the U.S. Republican Party’s presidential nomination for the third time. Even so, his possible return to the White House will pervade Davos discussions on topics ranging from Ukraine, China, trade, and climate change.

Kevin O’Leary Explains to Stunned CNN Audience Why New York Case Against President Trump Is Nonsense

Everything about the case in New York City against the Trump Organization business operations is ridiculous.  There are no victims.  There was no fraud.  All of the lenders did their own due diligence.  All of the loans were paid back without issue, and the statement of financial condition was factual and accurate.  There were no defaults or banking interests adversely impacted. There are no victims of what the State calls “fraud.”

New York Attorney General Latisha James campaigned for office with promises to target the Trump Organization and Donald Trump himself.  This is malicious Lawfare in the extreme.  Additionally, the statute being used as the predicate for the case is a consumer fraud statute, intended to protect borrowers from predatory lenders. In the four corners of this case, Trump is the borrower, and the banks were the lenders.  New York is flipping the statute to claim the borrower defrauded the lenders, despite the lenders denying there was any fraud and there was no harm.   The entire case is ridiculous.

Appearing on CNN, O’Leary Ventures Chairman Kevin O’Leary outlines, to a perplexed Laura Coates, why Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial in New York is political nonsense. WATCH (prompted):

TRANSCRIPT – O’LEARY: Well, let’s leave out Trump for a minute, and let’s leave out politics, and just talk about what happens in real estate development anywhere. So, if you’re a developer and you’ve got a building on the block, anywhere in America, and it’s worth, let’s say, $500 million, and you want to build a building right beside it, you go to the bank and say, “This building is worth $500 million. I’d like to borrow a construction finance loan against this asset, and I want you to tell me it’s worth $500 million too.”
