• Joe Biden plans to announce withdrawal from nomination process as early as this weekend, Sunday most likely.
• Biden advisor Jon Meacham polishing up remark for delivery to the nation.
• Joe Biden with NOT resign the presidency and will finish the remainder of his term.
• Interestingly, Joe Biden will NOT endorse VP Kamala Harris. Biden will let the convention decide.
• There will be an open convention with Kamala Harris and about 3 others on the first ballot.
• The infamous super delegates, deep DNC insiders, will not be allowed to vote on 1st ballot. This point is moot because no one is going to win on the first ballot.
• Kamala Harris is planning her convention strategy around a full ticket proposal. Harris is vetting at least four possible running mates, including Andy Beshear and possibly Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.
If you understand the nature of Democrat politics, specifically if you have understood this was a long-ago-decided replacement strategy, then you will see how the Pelosi group positioned Gavin Newsom for this series of events.
The DNC controls the mechanisms. The first-round ballot will include too many names for any single candidate to emerge the victor. The super delegates, the ones who really are the party power brokers, will then make their decisions.
Gavin Newsom has been playing the loyal Democrat supporter of Biden, specifically because he knew this moment was coming. Every move was gaming and pretending. It is more than likely that Newsom will exit as the consensus candidate in second, perhaps third round.

Josh Shapiro would be a good choice for Kamala because Shapiro is the best retail politician in the Democratic Party today. He’s a hands-on governor who wants EVERYONE’S vote. He got Trump supporters to endorse him on television during this run for governor. He doesn’t ostracize people for voting for Trump as he knows many are Democrats, or WERE Democrats like Trump was once a Democrat.
Shapiro, as Attorney General of Pennsylvania, reviewed the “Certificates of Electoral Votes” that were going to be filed by 12 of the Trump Elector Nominees and 8 “Replacements.” The Attorney General told the Republicans that he would not personally cast a vote in this situation, but thought the certificate was safe to file since the counting of the votes was tied to Trump winning a court challenge of the vote in Pennsylvania and being awarded the Electoral Votes from that court decision. Thus far, the Pennsylvania Trump Elector Nominees and the Replacements of 8 who refused to cast votes, have not been prosecuted by the government of Pennsylvania for filing that certificate with the governor, the National Archives, and Vice President Pence.
Shapiro will wait and run for President after two terms as governor, a job he appears to enjoy.
Shapiro was able to get Republican voters on his promise of school vouchers, which he promptly reneged on as soon as he took office.
BUT, he was able to “win” Pennsylvania for Biden in ‘20, by adding a week onto voting after the election, and a week extra for counting. In his hurry, he managed to have 120,000 extra Biden voters that didn’t exist.

If it’s anyone other than Kamala they cannot use the money that the Biden campaign raised because of campaign finance laws, which would be a huge disadvantage for Newsome or anyone else. The dems are screwed either way.
If the democrats think that pushing Biden out and eventually passing over Kamala to install Newsom or even Whitmer as the candidate to run against President Trump is they’re best shot at winning the election then they are sadly mistaken. That would only further divide the party. I don’t believe the majority of working class democrats of color not would react very well to her being passed over for anybody.
