This is what happens when single issue activists are supported by the State and take judicial action against Christians. Not only did this couple lose their freedom of religion, but they also are forced to lose their freedom of speech.

OREGON – Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian finalized a preliminary ruling today ordering Aaron and Melissa Klein, the bakers who refused to make a cake for a same-sex wedding, to pay $135,000 in emotional damages to the couple they denied service.

“This case is not about a wedding cake or a marriage,” Avakian wrote. “It is about a business’s refusal to serve someone because of their sexual orientation. Under Oregon law, that is illegal.” (more…)

There are times when operational entities “react” to events, and then, in hindsight, live to regret their decision.  The decision by Macy’s Department Store to discontinue their relationship with Donald Trump brand merchandise is easily one of these examples.

Have you ever been into a Macy’s?  Have you ever looked at the location of ‘viable’ Macy’s locations?   Ever perused their store or their merchandise?  What you’ll notice is the vast majority of Macy’s customers are socio-economically aligned with Donald Trump’s populist, albeit perhaps unartfully stated, beliefs. Confederate Flag Syndrome in hyper-drive. 

BALTIMORE – Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is asking for a special commission to review Baltimore’s Confederate statues and historical assets.

The commission will review of Confederate-era statues in the city to make recommendations for “their future in Baltimore.”

The Mayor said in statement that she believes the review will lead to a more “reasoned approach to these Confederate-era monuments” rather than just taking them down.

A Texas judge in one of the Twin Peaks “Biker Gang” shooting cases has agreed to release CCTV video of Twin Peaks and Don Carlos resturarant to the defense. However, the judge has also barred the defense from sharing the video and now placed a gag order to stop the defense team from describing the video to the media.

The Prosecuting State Attorney is continuing the fight to hide the truth, block public scrutiny and avoid the deconstruction of the increasingly apparent fraudulent claims originally made by Waco Police surrounding the shooting itself.

WACO, TEXAS – A state district judge ruled Tuesday that a Dallas attorney can have a copy of a Twin Peaks franchisee’s video of the May 17 biker shootout, but the judge barred the release of the video to the public.

Judge Matt Johnson of Waco’s 54th State District Court also granted a prosecution request to place a gag order in the Matthew Alan Clendennen case, preventing attorneys on both sides, law enforcement officers and witnesses from discussing that case only in the media.

NBC parted ways with Donald Trump today.  Here’s why: 

NEW YORK (AP) — A petition asking NBC to fire Donald Trump has collected more than 200,000 signatures.

Posted on the Change.org website, the petition calls out NBC of choosing business over “ethics, principles and values” in the wake of Trump’s recent statements when declaring his candidacy for president. Among his remarks, the GOP hopeful portrayed immigrants from Mexico as “bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some, I assume, are good people.”

Last week, Univision, the nation’s largest Spanish-language network, said it wouldn’t air the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, which are co-owned by Trump, and will cut all future business ties with him. (more…)

Prior to his election in 2008 President Obama told everyone his intent was to “fundamentally change” the United States of America.  Not enough people were paying attention to what that actually meant, because everyone was filled with their own self-interpretation of “Hope and Change”, or “Change They Can Believe In”.

However, recent events have brought a few more people to seek a greater understanding of what’s going on in 2015.  This outline is simply going to point out a couple of visible footprints, amid the dozens possible, and show how all the modern activism stems from, and traces back to, the Obama White House.

Obama For America, or OFA, was one of the primary organizational change agents that contained all of the visible sub-sets of various activists working diligently to elect their commander-in-chief organizer, Barack Obama.

From OFA a myriad of splinter groups dispersed following the successful election.  Some began working on new social justice endeavors immediately, others began organizing in preparation for things to come in the years that followed ’08.

Dallas, Texas  — Clinton Broden of the Dallas based criminal defense firm Broden, Mickelsen, Helms & Snipes, LLP. announced that a hearing has been set on the City of McLennan’s motion to quash  the subpoena he issued to Twin Peaks for its surveillance video of the events of May 17, 2015.

The hearing is set before District Judge Matt Johnson in the 54^th District Court at 9:00 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.  Presumably a hearing will also be held at the same time on Broden’s motion to sanction the City Attorney’s Office for filing the frivolous motion to quash in the first place.

Broden continued to express bewilderment that the City of Waco believes it has the authority to stop the production of a video that is owned by the Twin Peaks franchisee and which the franchisee is ready, able and willing to produce.  “Everybody needs to understand that this video is the property of the Twin Peaks franchisee.  It is not the property of the City of Waco, theWaco Police or McLennan county.  It is private property,” said Broden. (Via Daily Caller) Former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner’s hard drive most likely crashed due to “an impact of some sort,” like somebody hitting it or smashing it, according to new congressional testimony.

Then the hard drive was shredded and its pieces were sold for scrap.

Lerner’s laptop, which crashed on June 11, 2011 between 5 and 7 PM, was sent to an IT technician two days later. The Hewlett-Packard technician looking at her laptop determined that the hard drive failed because of an impact of some sort. (more…)

Vulture has learned exclusively that Warner Bros.’ consumer licensing division — which for decades has licensed images of the Duke brothers’ iconic General Lee car for use on everything from T-shirts and model cars to lunch boxes and kids’ underwear — has opted to stop sanctioning the manufacturing of any products featuring the stars and bars.

“Warner Bros. Consumer Products has one licensee producing die-cast replicas and vehicle model kits featuring the General Lee with the confederate flag on its roof — as it was seen in the TV series,” a spokesman for the company said via email. “We have elected to cease the licensing of these product categories.” (more…)
