El Salvador President Nayib Bukele delivered a remarkable speech at the National Prayer Breakfast yesterday. Bukele accurately frames the bigger battle forces we face, the challenge of confronting evil.
Nayib Bukele delivers a powerful and inspiring speech at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC, addressing topics of faith, leadership, hope, and moral guidance. Sundance, where in the Treehouse might I find a deep-dive on President Bukele? What is his background story; raised, educated, political backers? How did he navigate the El Salvador swamp to become president? Thx
I am not sure that Sundance did a deep dive for Bukele, but this Britannica article is pretty good:
https://www.britannica.com/biography/Nayib-Bukele
Isn’t it interesting when someone comes and obliviously asks the hardest working person to do their research?
With respect Sixie, I’m interested in SD’s insight if in fact he’s already documented it somewhere on his website. Appreciate your defense of him tho.
With respect, this website has a search box in the upper right hand corner.
Isn’t it interesting? When people call out other people for no reason…
2cups obviously respects and validates Sundance’s perspective above all else including all of the mis-information that is spun on the Net. I see this as an endorsement of Sundance’s hard work and value.
… and – more importantly – what are helpful tips to tell him apart from Bad Bunny?
Not sure if Sundance posted this interview of Bukele by Tucker Carlson but it’s a good interview:
I agree Tucker interview last year was superb . Interview lets you see the mans soul pretty well. He is a great soul and leader for sure.
Yes. Great interview.

Bio From Grok:
Nayib Armando Bukele Ortez was born on July 24, 1981, in San Salvador, El Salvador, to Armando Bukele Kattán, a prominent businessman and imam of Palestinian descent who founded the country’s first mosque and held interests in textiles, public relations, and even the first McDonald’s franchise, and Olga Marina Ortez, a Roman Catholic woman from eastern El Salvador. He is the fifth of ten children, with three full younger brothers—Karim, Ibrajim Antonio, and Yusef Alí—who form part of his inner circle, along with six elder half-siblings. Raised in privilege amid widespread poverty, Bukele attended the elite Panamerican School and later studied law at Central American University but dropped out at age 18 to join the family businesses, including managing a nightclub and a Yamaha dealership. His family’s PR firm worked closely with the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN), one of El Salvador’s dominant post-civil war parties.
Bukele entered politics in 2012 at age 31, winning the mayoralty of Nuevo Cuscatlán, a small town near San Salvador, under the FMLN banner with a modest budget and little experience. Ambitious and outspoken, he criticized the FMLN as outdated, leading to tensions. In 2015, he became mayor of San Salvador, focusing on urban revitalization. Expelled from the FMLN in 2017 for insubordination, he founded Nuevas Ideas, positioning himself as a populist outsider beyond left-right divides.
In 2019, at age 37, Bukele won the presidency as a third-party candidate, becoming Latin America’s youngest head of state and breaking the two-party stranglehold since the 1992 civil war end. Campaigning on anti-corruption—“There’s enough money if no one steals”—and leveraging social media, he gained massive youth support. Re-elected in 2024 despite constitutional bans (overturned by his allies), he continues as the 81st president into 2026.
Bukele’s presidency is marked by bold, controversial policies. He adopted Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021, a global first, amid economic volatility. His “iron fist” crackdown on gangs via a 2022 state of exception led to over 80,000 arrests, drastically reducing homicide rates but drawing accusations of mass human rights abuses, arbitrary detentions, and authoritarianism. Critics label him a dictator, while supporters praise restored security. He self-styles as the “world’s coolest dictator” and “philosopher king,” with approval ratings over 80%. Internationally, he’s pursued Central American integration, signing pacts with Guatemala and evoking figures like Francisco Morazán and Simón Bolívar.
Personally, Bukele married Gabriela Roberta Rodríguez Perezalonso in December 2014; they have a daughter, Layla. His millennial flair, social media savvy, and admiration for his father’s intellect (claiming higher IQ than Einstein) shape his image as a visionary yet polarizing leader. Recent X discussions highlight his influence abroad, with high popularity in Chile and meetings with leaders like Chile’s president-elect José Antonio Kast.
I wonder if Grok has been limited from posting spiritual or religious information. No way you scour the entire internet on this man and don’t come back with “Christian” and “spiritual” being key identifiers.
From personal interactions, GROK tends to limit or omit foreign sources that run counter to its “findings and conclusions” from domestic sources.
It actually got “testy” when I raised the issue with examples.
This is why we shouldn’t be using AI in any capacity. If it casually omits such pertinent information, what else does it omit for every other search or task?
Tucker did a good interview with him a year or 2 ago.
A great man.
Indeed. And if we don’t do exactly what he did, our country is over forever.
What a breath of fresh air to hear this national leader give Glory to God in such a genuine and heartfelt way.
I’m sure he makes some harsh decisions – but really glad he’s in charge of Salvador!
You can’t get there without them. I believe our PDJT will need to do the same to make our Country whole again. I hope the populace has the appetite to support what’s coming.
He says the first thing essential to turning a corrupt country around is purging members of a corrupt judiciary. First order of business. The key to his success as the president
GA GOV. KEMP SHUT DOWN INVESTIGATION OF STOLEN 2020 ELECTION,
AND APPOINTED THREE CORRUPT “JUDGES” TO CONCEAL THE FRAUD
[…According to Perdue, Vic Reynolds saw evidence of ballot harvesting that was compelling enough to open an investigation, but Reynolds did not open an investigation because he wanted to be a “team player” for Brian Kemp, the man who would promote him to be a Superior Court Judge less than a year later…]
[…The case of State of Georgia v. Trump, et al. – which was manufactured by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her lover Nathan Wade – was ultimately dismissed on November 25th, 2025. Even after its dismissal, the case is providing us with more context of what actually happened (and what didn’t happen) surrounding the 2020 election.
Last month, Judge Scott McAfee lifted a protective order on the special grand jury transcripts from the case of State of Georgia v. Trump, et al.
One particular transcript contains a concerning claim made by former U.S. Senator David Perdue.
…When Wade asked if Perdue had “reason to believe that the GBI would not have conducted a satisfactory investigation,” the response from Perdue was shocking.
Senator Perdue claimed to have received a phone call in November 2021 from Vic Reynolds, then-Director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). Reynolds told Perdue, “We’re not going to investigate. The governor wants me to tell you why we’re not going to investigate.”
Perdue revealed that in May of 2021, Reynolds was presented with evidence of ballot harvesting. “…Video evidence and cell phone evidence, along with testimony and bank records that are corroborated…” Perdue stated that Reynolds “looked at that and said it was compelling [enough] to be investigated.”
Perdue would go on to reveal that the reason Reynolds gave him for not investigating the compelling evidence was because Reynolds was “a team player. If the governor doesn’t want to investigate, we’re not going to investigate.”
Perdue would conclude his answer by stating for the record that then-GBI Director Vic Reynolds was later “promoted to Superior Court Judge of Cobb County,” an appointment made by Governor Brian Kemp in August 2022, just one month before this testimony was given.
…Coovert claims he took evidence of 28 instances of fraud to Governor Brian Kemp and worked with Evan Meyers, Gov. Kemp’s executive deputy counsel. Meyers then referred it to then-Inspector General Scott McAfee.
IG McAfee said he could only go after one allegation: the claims that an audit never took place. Coovert claims that when he gave McAfee the evidence that the audits didn’t take place in the six counties mentioned, McAfee stopped talking to Coovert.
He claims he also went to Alison Sosebee, then a district attorney in the Appalachian Circuit, and shared the information with her. She also stopped talking to him following the presentation of evidence.
Both McAfee and Sosebee are now Superior Court judges appointed by Governor Kemp…]

I’d happily trade out all our elected uniparty “republicans” for one Nayib Bukele.
I’d help you; have access to a large box truck I could borrow if you don’t care how they’re stacked.
I know how to stack, best to fit as many as possible in there!
Like cordwood…
A Tetris master, I see.
AMEN!
Amen.
You misspelled “republicants.” 🙂
I hear El Salvador has a really nice jail
This kind of leadership is what brings countries together.
Under God we will come together.
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chron. 7:14)
Amen and amen.
This
Nice!
Impressive leader.
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. – Ecclesiastes 8:11
A very gifted speaker who’s sincerity comes through in every word.
God blessed El Salvador, may we be worthy of God blessing America.
Remember, God has never given up on America.
Our brilliant Founding Fathers knew….
The Founding Fathers were possessed of profound wisdom. They placed Almighty God as the new Republic’s Cornerstone, removed centuries later by men who did not understand what the words of the Constitution meant…and misinterpreted them completely.
Jefferson understood the possibility of what has come to pass.
“No human society has ever been able to maintain both order and freedom, both cohesiveness and liberty apart from the moral precepts of the Christian religion…
Should our republic ever forget this fundamental precept of governance, this great experiment will then be surely doomed.”
~John Jay, first Chief Justice (1789-95)
John Jay, always profound.
He also said,
“The people who own the country ought to govern it.“
Definitely had an elitist streak in him, not a believer in all men being created equal, born with inalienable rights. So there’s that.
Spiritually we’re equal before God, but strategically not all minds think with the same logic
In the terse sentence of Frederick the Great:
–
“Nothing can serve to enlighten stupidity and stub-
bornness ; a mule would not improve in his tactics , though
he made twenty campaigns with Prince Eugene.”
The important truth he spoke is that all battles are won on the spiritual plane before they are won on the pbysical.
This is why it’s so important to always look to spirit by not allowing yourself to be overcome by what you feel or see in the physical world.
It does no good to moan and complain. These useless activities only prove you are a captive of the physical and thus you are looking in the wrong place.
So when you encounter such useless activity, turn your thoughts and prayers to spirit, and ask for wisdom.
P
Bless you MsWords, letting in only that which is for our highest self.
Amen
It is amazing what a strong leader can do for a country.
…our “leaders”…should learn lots of from him….one of basic take care own citizens and legal residents…..and do not stick noses to affairs of other countries …….as ours love to do……
Great sharing for all leaders, giving God the glory for what he calls a “miracle” and all one has to do it ask.
Nayib Bukele did not have to touch further into God holding leaders accountable for rejecting His guidance (after receiving wisdom). The Bible holds several accounts of that.
James 1:5 is the key Bible passage that teaches leaders to ask for God’s wisdom; promising that God gives generously to all without finding fault. This verse, (directly addresses leaders seeking divine guidance) … ” “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
– God offers wisdom freely –
without criticism or hesitation, to leaders who ask—regardless of their past failures or current doubts.
– God’s generosity –
“Ask our generous God, and he will give it to you” – James 1:5
“Generously” – God does not ration wisdom. He gives fully and abundantly”
– Without fault: He does not rebuke or shame leaders for lacking wisdom. “God is generous and won’t correct you for asking.”
– Unconditional: God’s nature. He desires to guide, not to condemn. His promise is open to all who seek Him in faith – James 1:6
This assurance invites leaders to depend on divine wisdom rather than worldly strategies, knowing God responds with grace, not judgment.
What happens if a leader asks for wisdom but doesn’t/failed to follow it?
If a leader asks for wisdom but doesn’t follow it, the consequences are serious and extend beyond personal failure.
– Spiritual and moral decline: Ignoring wisdom leads to disgrace and destruction
Proverbs 10:14, 18:13
– Leaders who reject correction stray from knowledge and invite chaos
Proverbs 19:27
– Poor judgment and failure
Without applying wisdom, leaders make flawed decisions
Proverbs 4:7 calls wisdom “the principal thing,” and rejecting it results in confusion, poverty, and constant failure
Proverbs 13:18
– Leading others astray: Leaders bear responsibility for those under them.
Ignoring wisdom not only harms the leader but also misleads followers, exposing them to the “snares of death”
Proverbs 10:17, 13:14
– Divine discipline: Christ Himself warns erring leaders to repent or face His direct judgment
“I will fight against them with the sword of my mouth”
God holds leaders accountable for rejecting His guidance
Revelation 2:16
Seeking wisdom without obeying it reveals a divided heart; invites both personal and corporate consequences.
Biblical examples showing several biblical leaders who asked for or received wisdom; but failed to follow it, resulting in severe consequences.
– King Saul: Initially chosen by God, Saul disobeyed divine commands by offering sacrifices ..
1 Samuel 13:8–14
and sparing King Agag ..
1 Samuel 15:22–23 Despite warnings from Samuel, he rationalized his actions and was ultimately rejected as king.
King Solomon: Granted extraordinary wisdom by God ..
1 Kings 3:12
Solomon later ignored it by marrying hundreds of foreign wives and worshiping their idols …
1 Kings 11:4–6
.. which led to the division of the kingdom after his death.
Rehoboam: Ignored the wise counsel of elders and followed young advisors who urged harsh rule, causing a rebellion and the split of the united monarchy.
1 Kings 12:13–14
Pontius Pilate: Acknowledged Jesus’ innocence ..
Matthew 27:24
but yielded to political pressure, sentencing Jesus to crucifixion—showing he recognized truth but refused to act on it.
God holds leaders accountable for rejecting His guidance ..
Receiving wisdom without obedience leads to downfall, loss of authority, and national consequences.
My fellow believers, please pray to the Lord that He grant protection to this man and that He causes him to prosper.
It should be understood that if the radical globalists re-take the White House, leaders like Bukele and Orban will be in their crossshairs. They don’t have any scruples about targeting our own President so to them a foreign leader is just another day ending in “Y”>

This made me think of this hymn that most Christian churches have banned.
One of my favorite hymns!
National Prayer Foundation
https://npbfoundation.com/
It does not explicitly state confession in Our Lord and God and Savior Jesus Christ.
It does not confess Him as the Second Person of the Holy Trinity.
“All faiths are welcome“
🤔
From the pics it looks as if it has changed over the years?
I confess I’m not familiar with its inception or history.
Did you understand the vision stated by the Foundation?
“Today, this simple idea of people meeting together for mutual encouragement and fellowship in order to find “the better way” has become the basis for small groups in over one hundred and eighty countries on every continent. With the teaching, principles of the 2,000-year-old story of Jesus of Nazareth at the center”.
People in over 180 countries all over the world gathering here are made up of people of different cultures, cultural and historical background, of all religious background.
God created all people. God calls. Man chooses.
The Good Book has always been available for any one who wants to pursue further, Jesus – the Christ.
Have looked at Bukele pretty closely over the last 2-3 years. Before that time he was busy using his military and local police to round up gang members (who pretty much cover the entire spectrum of crime) in El Salvador.
In 2025 Bukele was asked by the President of Costa Rica to aid in the construction of its own mini CECOT. Mirroring El Salvador’s famous prison system. Construction started in Jan 26.
Honduras and Chile have recently turned back to the right in their politics. They too are looking to take back control of their countries from narco traffickers, gangs and economically adjust away from internally failed socialist states. Be on the lookout for Bukele’s leadership style and disciplined prison system becoming models for other Latin American states.
President Trump and Sec Rubio have already approved of the message. 🙏🏽
One interesting factoid about him is his HUGE interest in and adoption of BTC.
“Bukele’s administration has remained steadfast in its commitment to bitcoin, integrating it into the nation’s economy and planning future projects.”
Nayib Bukele Says ‘We Bought The Other Dip’ As El Salvador Loads Up On Gold And Bitcoin
January 26, 2026
“El Salvador bought dips in both Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and gold on Thursday, doubling down on its unique strategy of building reserves in both assets simultaneously.”
Dr. Jack Kruse has had Bukele’s ear for a few years, and when I searched for something in support discovered this, to which I have not listened, yet the bullet points are familiar.
I encourage you to investigate a bit of his works, they could be life changing.
Prior to escaping Quebec five years ago, as I could see the writing on the wall, my wife and I would begin our day awaiting the sunrise over the Laurentian mountains NW of Montreal, a la Kruse insights.
Anyhow if you have not heard of Kruse and can smile at a bright, bombastic, and passionate delivery, check him out.
With love to all you treepers,

Ack!!! I apologise folks, I didn’t know one would be lassoed into having to sign in to something.
Instead go to YouTube and browse Kruse offerings, if so inclined.
The podcast link IS a good synopsis though of what I wished to convey.
Thanks Sundance for sharing this great talk by a great Christian leader . This man gives me hope for this world.. I hope Trump was listening carefully!!!
Bukele is an example of leadership under the control of Divine Wisdom…an example for others, if they will only open their eyes.
When I heard him say that leadership is first and foremost about making decisions that impact the lives of the people you lead I couldn’t help but think about the frequently misguided and sometimes catastrophic results of making decisions that a wise leader had no business deciding.
Sometimes the best decision is to not make a decision. Like plandemic. Deciding that government needed to try to control the microbiological natural world was a known exercise in futility pre-2020. And would harm exponentially more people than being humble before the natural world. That man cannot control.
Illusions of man’s control over the natural world, delusions of grandeur combined with the impulse to “do something” led to grievous injury and death that doing nothing would not have.
Humility before God informing plandemic leaders was in short supply. The ‘cure’ *was* worse than the disease
The 1980’s movie classic War Games climactic scene where the rogue computer, Joshua (AI) that nearly obliterated the world concluded that sometimes the only winning move is not to play the game; to not deign oneself fit to decide all matters.
In that light I disagree with his call to decide all things as a leader. If he had included a few words describing how having humility to know if a leader’s best decision is to not decide, to not play games with people’s lives it would’ve been better.
Other than that which unsettled me, a fine speech.
Excellent!
He so correct, we are in a spiritual war, and we need the God of spirits to send his holy warriors to help. The only way to get that help PRAY for it. The unseen realm is real.
Then the Devil left him, and Angles came and attended him, Mathew 4-11
There’s a man who knows his place in front of his Father in Heaven.
Sure in the knowledge that when we ask in faith we can move mountains.
How is El Salvador’s turnaround not an example of our loving God moving mountains through this man.
Praise God in whom all blessings flow.
That speech and prayer was a good way to start the day. God Bless Us All.
All I can say is AMEN after that.
What Bukele emphasized was exactly what Sundance speaks to us about: this is a spiritual war and requires recognition of the satanic worship of most criminals. In this spiritual war, a leader must ask God for wisdom in order to lead his people, in order to protect the honest people from the criminals, and to seek God’s help to get all of the criminals incarcerated.
Bukele did not mention in this speech, but has in other speeches, how the criminals in prison are hired to do various kinds of work that the country needs.
Bukele is one of the best of all the world’s leaders today, along with President Trump and President Javier Millei.
These men are visionaries: they see a positive vision of where their country can go and then they make it happen!
Thank God for these men.
