President Donald Trump talks about placing tariffs on Canadian goods. Ontario Premier Doug Ford talks about “inflicting as much pain as possible on the American people.” See the difference? Tell me again how the term “snowmexicans” is insulting. I digress.
A few thoughts. First, apparently Doug Ford doesn’t quite understand that tariffs on steel, aluminum and auto imports are not part of the “reciprocity” tariff regime. They are an entirely different category classified under national security directives to ensure American industrial capacity.
Second, as Canada moves into the “freedom fries” phase, voices like Doug Ford might want to consider the end of this continuum that finds the word “embargo” in the lingo. Perhaps President Trump would consider elevating the conversation to “reciprocity” in the banking sector. Again, I digress.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford announces the Canadian government intention to “inflict as much pain as possible against the American people.” WATCH:
Canadians just don’t get it. Meanwhile, as it was within most of the originating negotiations of the USMCA, Mexico smartly stays quiet as stompy feet Canada draws the attention from President Donald Trump.
Canadians want to “inflict as much pain as possible” upon Americans.
♦ Revoke their free Visa access.
♦ Close the border.
♦ Embargo all goods.
♦ Restrict financial services.
♦ Turn off Swift access in Canada.
Let’s see how an independent Canada can function and “inflict pain.”

As a Canadian, I have to say Doug Ford is an embarrassment. He recently won re-election and since then, he has turned into some kind of Mafia style goon. To add insult to injury, Ford refuses to help fellow Conservative Pierre Poilievre defeat the crazy Liberal PM Carnival Carnie in the upcoming election. Canada is doomed if Carnie is elected. He is a globalist, an elitist and no friend of the ordinary man.
Sounds like McTurtle, by not helping conservatives in elections.
He’s all bluster, he’ll fold.
the guy is all hat and no cattle. We have busloads of the same here in the States. Many are likely much worse than Ford.
The USA has more issues than National Geographic Magazine. I’m glad Trump is playing hardball with Canada. Stay the course and move on to whatever is next. The list goes from the ceiling to the floor and back again. This is pissant stuff. Canada has no leverage, only suffering ahead if Trump doesn’t cave.
Felix: All toque, no geese 🙂
President Trump never caves.
“he has turned into some kind of Mafia style goon”
Large payments from Chinese controlling cartels has that effect. Why not just stop illegals and drugs? That’s what started this. The reciprocal tariff situation came much later into the discussion, after Canada refused to address border issues.
China is not Canada’s friend. Hope they realize that before it’s too late.
But China is the Crown’s tool.
“Canada is doomed.”
.
Yes.
Canada is a member of the British Commonwealth. That’s just a fact. King George 3rd tried to make things maximum pain for us too in 1776. How did that turn out for Him? We want to be friends with the British and their Commonwealth because you are just darn nice people but if you don’t want to reciprocate then we can’t do anything about that. You can’t control people. That’s a British thing. It takes 2 to have a relationship. It only takes 1 to have a breakup.
But they remain under British influence, and have engaged the Chinese in warring upon us from North and South.
This cannot be ignored.
Topple the Crown
Free the World
Royal heads will be displayed on pikes.
I don’t know how any nation can be proud of Charlie Pedo
Queen Eliz gave away Hong Kong (Prince of Wales was there) and then she let the invade Canada, King Charles is just controlling the sun setting on his former empire.
The Crown’s days are numbered. Pride be damned.
Bammy tried that here too. Apparently he thought he was King for awhile.
Spread the word kind sir!! You get !!
is this the same Ford that had the cocaine or marijuana meltdown a decade ago?
No, I think that guy died.
“ inflict pain” ? gee why do we import any parts if their not dirt cheap ? I guess we better start making those parts here ?
Do they still speak French in Quebec or is it Arabic? I believe it was in the 90’s when people were protesting to keep Quebec French. What happened?
Was it OK to bring in other cultures as long as they spoke French? Or do they care now? What fools.
We are seeing more of that same multiculturalism, in Florida. There’s a special election on Tuesday for Waltz’s seat, I wasn’t paying much attention until I read one of the candidates is a Muslim who became a Christian just last year. He has raised millions compared to his opponent a Trump endorsed MAGA candidate. Imagine that!
لقد هُزمت كندا.
I probably agree.
<Golf clap>
مجرد أدوات للتاج.
Translation: Canada has been defeated.
“Was it OK to bring in other cultures as long as they spoke French”
That is precisely why they allowed so many Muslims, because they spoke French.
I had never seen so much “multiculturalism” until I visited Key West. 11 Uber drivers, almost all from a different country. It was 2023, i really wanted to ask if they were here legally but chose safety.
Do they still speak English in Toronto?
Do they still speak Chinese in Vancouver (Xianshui Erbu)?
Hence President Trump’s move today to leave Elise Stefanek in Congress instead of vacating her seat for Ambassador to the U.N.?
Just be mindful when looking at the statistics when the NAFTA treason started and when China got into the WTO.
Trade in Goods with Canada

This POS will be on his knees begging for Trump’s forgiveness. He was a POS during the Canadian Truckers strike.
Frog in a pan ,heat just starting.
I read the headline, shook my head and laughed hysterically.
Now, I will read the article LOL
“inflict as much pain as possible against the American people.”
We should be alert at the border that the Canucks don’t try to sneak Truedope and Freeland into the country.
close the Bank of Montreal and Toronto Dominion Canadian banks down
they don’t allow US banks
tell me again why we should allow theirs
There are American banks in Canada.
And there is canned ham from Canada here in the states but we have our own pigs and canning facilities,
Man that was close. I picked up some maple syrup (Product of Canada) at the store this morning. If I had waited one more day………. Heaven help me.
Vermont maple syrup is wonderul.
Buy one, get one double price.
There you go, and Amen.
Quiet down, Premier Ford. Canadians will still build and export a lot of cars snd trucks.
I admit to voting for Doug Ford when he first ran as Ontario’s provincial premier, hoping he’d be like his brother, former and now deceased Toronto mayor, Rob Ford. After Doug Ford became premier, it quickly became apparent he was not at all like the conservative his brother Rob was. Doug Ford did pretty much everything I’d have expected our previous incompetent provincial Liberal government to do, while still wasting even more taxpayer money. When Doug Ford went along with every tyrannical policy Trudeau pushed during Covid, and praised Trudeau’s WEF deputy PM Freeland, I knew Ontario, and possibly Canada was done.
Everything our so-called leaders in Canada have done since Mr. Trump’s election have told me Canada is finished, with the exception of Premier Smith in Alberta, a province I’ve been trying to move to since before the plandemic. Alberta will be Canada’s last stand, but not because of Ford or Carney. Alberta pretty much holds all the cards to Canada’s oil and gas sector, and if the rest of Canada gets cut off from their goodies, I don’t think the eastern bastards will really understand what it means to freeze in the dark until it happens.
Things in Canada are so f*cked right now. We have WEF selected PM, whom less than 150000 people, who may or may not have been Canadian chose to replace Justin Trudeau as Liberal party leader, and as such Carney just becomes our Prime Minister, despite no votes or mandate from Canadians.
With the rampant corruption here in Canada, nevermind our politicians and a lot of our land being owned by Chinese and other criminal elements, I would welcome the US invading and saving us. It’s not like we have a military to stop the US, plus legal firearms owners up here are unlikely to pick up their arms to defend the likes of Ford or Carney, It’s not like our representatives stand for Canada so why would anyone else. Plus, most legal gun owners lost their long guns in boating accidents after the long gun registry went away.
I thought about posting a sign at the road that said that hot coffee was on for any US men that needed caffeine on their way to Ottawa. I decided that inflaming my neighbours was not exactly wise, so I did not.
😂
Agreed. I’d accept a US takeover 100%. I just don’t think Trump is properly considering just how many crazies he’d inherit.
DD
Actually, the way the conversation went is, Trump called Trudeau and said, “We need to do something about these tariffs.”
Instead of negotiating, Trudeau went full-on Chicken Little mode and said, “If you do that, then we cease to exist as a country.”
Then Trump said, “Then maybe you should just consider becoming our 51st state.”
Worst possible negotiator ever. But, hey, at least he’s getting some election mileage credits out of the whole thing.
In the meantime, we’re making bank on the tariffs. We’ll get our money with or without your assistance.
” Worst possible negotiator ever “.
Then Europe said, hold my latte and threatened to overthrow Russia.
Before telling everyone that the US wasn’t going to beat them up and that they couldn’t.
And here we are, 63 days into President Trump’s term…..
Immigrate to the US. Then renounce your Canadian citizenship at the Canadian embassy in Washington DC. It takes half a lifetime but is so worth it.
It’s not so easy for a Canadian to immigrate to the US. I hold a STEM university degree, and a couple times over the course of my career might have been able to move to the US. Each time, my request for a visa was declined, citing my degree was not specific enough.
During the plandemic, I told my spouse, Canada is over and we need to leave while we still can, only to be met with resistance by my spouse. Despite all evidence showing Canada is just a vassal state of China and many more not Canadian interests, my spouse would not consider abandoning Canada.
I may have resort to asking a close relative to sponsor me into the US. They were a Canadian who married an American in the 70s and after many years in the US on a green card, gave up their Canadian citizenship in favour of the US. I just want to work hard and get ahead, and in Canada, that’s really hasn’t been a possibility for most of my lifetime.
I immigrated to the US from Australia on a New Zealand passport but I didn’t have a spouse but did what your close relative did. If you think Canada is hard to get ahead, you should see Australia. It is ‘down’ right impossible. How come they just haven’t figured out that British Fabian socialism just doesn’t work?
It works for those at the top.
I get it. My husband has dug in his heels something fierce on the subject of moving out of California.
Although I hate to speculate I wonder if you were denied a visa because you are not of one of the favorite demographics?
That one for sure.
Down here on our side of the border the donks thought they’d have their way with us too. Thank God President Trump came along and not a moment too soon!
Go one better and get the northern border wall started.
bert33: I recommend boards and glass, as used in hockey rinks, with penalty boxes placed every 50 miles for illegal border jumpers.
Yes, and have China pay for it.
Ford’s Covid lockdowns and attacks on the freedom trucker protesters must not be forgotten, he’s a lefty POS pretending to be a “conservative.”
Nice neighbor?
Is he breaking up with us? Bye, he can even have the silverware, I don’t care.
Elbows up, Doug.
Must be a LOT of drug and human trafficking payoffs flowing into the Canadian economy. So much that they can’t see how they would function without it.
Something like that.
BOOM!
Park Ranger Ford, from America’s largest national park, needs to be put in time out.
WEF stooge getting ready to infiltrate Canada and have the peasants form breadlines. https://x.com/disclosetv/status/1905343570740941243?t=jIbiSuFRGjQ_kCd6XdTJZQ&s=19
Dougie has just invokee the “Enemies… foreign and domestic” bit that always results in William Tecumseh Sharman quote, “War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen, and I say let us give them all they want. ”
As Dougie Ford will realize the truism Adm. Yamamoto’s quote at the end of Dec 7th, 1941, “[he] has awaken a sleeping Giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.“
Sherman. And you’re absolutely right.
Watching this play out has been extremely interesting. First and Foremost I know PDJT watched for four years as the entire world fell apart. He knew exactly who the culprits were/are, the WEF and China. He very strategically marked Panama, Canada and Greenland as his biggest targets. Those already entrenched with the CCP or who could potentially be.
Panama decided they would rather have the United States as a partner. Greenland’s last election says they’re getting to that point. Canada, on the other hand, would rather not stop the flow of illegals and drugs and instead have a trade war with US. That of course signals to US who exactly is in charge and it certainly isn’t Canadians, but the CCP.
China is a British Colony since the Opium Wars.
Belt and Road is British.
Look at all the Lords and Sirs sitting on the board of Huawei.
President Trump told Boris Johnson to decouple from Huawei or we leave Five Eyes.
The next day COVID-19 started in the media.
The gain of function virus came from Porton Down.
Yep, and we all know about China’s mind control expertise.
I guess I shouldn’t plan on driving through Canada this summer to visit friends now living in Alaska. Maybe I’ll just fly to Anchorage and rent a car.
Battleship: I drove across part of Canada a few summers ago, between Toronto and Sault Saint Marie (Canadian and US sides). The best part was finding the Bobby Orr museum along the way, in Perry Sound, Ontario.
Not a bad idea.
People think that America is an endless piggy bank, especially satrapies like Canada
Tampon Tim of the Snow.
oh no
😱 🤔 there is a state of emergency in Sarnia, Canada/Port Huron, MI/Saint Clair River due to a hydrocarbon spill. Do not make skin contact with the water. Spill originated at Sarnia Suncor Refinery 🤔
Wow.
Let canada turn into california. No pain no gain.👀
Will canada revert to a vast wilderness with beaver trading posts etc.😳
Cellguy: Yes, sparsely populated with French trappers.
Canada will remain as a sanctuary for Americans and they’ll probably need it soon when Trump declares himself a full tyrant.
Or else after the next election when the Democrats duplicate Trump’s actions as lefties and become full tyrants.
Here in Canada we have a paper ballot, ID and no cheating and elections where there is no electronic voting and corporations can’t give a candidate more than 7.500 dollars.
In this election when Carney and Poilievre promised tax cuts they are only for the lowest income tier.
In the US, Trump adds trillions to the deficit with tax cuts that benefit the 1% and 2nd tier down giving regular Americans almost nothing.
The USA is an Oligarchy and ruled by billionaire Oligarchs like Russia after it collapsed.
I’ll take Canada thanks. Sure there will be a mild recession here because of the trade war but it is much preferable to being American.
The 1% hire people. Something poor people don’t do. Something socialists don’t understand.
Canada is a Monarchy ruled by a King.
Ask your unelected secretary general about elections in a Monarchy.
You need better information sources.
That oligarchy crap is just that: crap. Likewise with the nonsense about adding trillions to the deficit with tax cuts.
You’re peddling fried ice cream to the wrong crowd here.
What parts do you not understand of no tax on tips, no tax on social security and no income tax on those earning less than $150,000 a year? Those are not policies put forth by oligarchs and tyrants.
Fact: Tax cuts have driven some of the biggest periods of economic growth in US history.
I live in far northwest washington, where canadian radio is everywhere. So I know what canadians are listening to, and it’s the same fake news being peddled by the worthless lying media in the lower 48.
Calling canada a sanctuary for Americans is laughable.
There are many, many canadians who come here to shop and get medical care. I know of no one who goes to canada for those reasons.
Canada is a beautiful place with many fine people, but if you think it’s so wholly superior to the US then you clearly need better information sources.
Yes. Every time there has been tax cuts, the tax revenue to government has increased.
The problem has always been that crooked politicians spend even more than the increased tax revenues that were gained.
The lie that tax cuts just benefit the rich and drive up deficits has been proven factually untrue many times over.
Yes indeed.
Such and inconvenient truth for so many.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha…………………………
I am a dual citizen Cdn American and have lived in the U.S. for 18 years.
I am middle-class. My tax rate in the U.S. has been approx 12% after President Trump’s tax cuts in his first term. When I lived in Canada (similar income level) my tax rate was 35%.
When I go back to Canada, the country is more and more unrecognizable. Being complacent, Cdns stood by and let it become this way, without voicing any concerns. They accepted the deceptions of the liberal gov’t. When I had tried to warn about the New World Order/ globalists, most of my friends were oblivious.
Cdns reactions to covid proved to me “how far gone” Cda and Cdns were, including the horrendous treatment of the polish pastor in Alberta.
Then the failure of Cdns to stand by their fellow countrymen who peacefully protested during the Truckers Rally. Cdns seemed to have no problem with many of these people’s bank accounts being frozen by their gov’t. But, now, Cdns are all riled up over President Trump.
Speaking to a relative late last year, she said: “Trudeau KILLED Canada.”
Go to the Canadian embassy in Washington DC and renounce your Canadian citizenship. You’ll find it surprisingly hard to do. It feels like a divorce and there will be some emotional processing to do even if you despise Canada but once you do it you will feel surprisingly free. I guarantee it.
Wow, have another glass of kool-aid. No wait, might as well make it a whole pitcher and get the overdose all over with. RIP.
When Donald Trump bossed “Celebrity Apprentice,” some Canadian businessmen appeared on the show.
NBA legend and uncredentialed envoy to North Korea Dennis Rodman told the Frostback moneymen that NBA players liked playing the Raptors because of the low cost and wide selection of “ladies of the evening” in Toronto compared to US cities.
Rodman was not disciplined by The Donald for telling the truth to Dudley, Snidely, Nell, and the Inspector.
All your election workings mean is that the globalists don’t have to cheat to install losers like Pierre Castro because a majority of Canadians are that stupid.
You got lost looking for Echo Beach because Martha and the Muffins didn’t give you explicit enough instructions.
You’d better go home to your dinner of twigs. That smacking sound must be your immediate female ancestor slapping her wide tail on the pond.
One in five Americans want their state to join Canada amid escalating trade war: poll
https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/federal_election/americans-auto-tariffs-mark-carney-donald-trump
Found in the comments section from the above Natonal Post article;
Timothy Boyle
“I think this article is a bit misleading. The question asked in each country was different. Canadians were asked to make a prediction i.e. would we become the 51st state which is quite different from what Americans were asked; namely, their preference i.e. would you like your state to join Canada. Earlier polling indicated that fully 17% of Canadians were favourable to joining the States so that polling would indicate the attitudes in both countries are remarkably similiar. What it says is that about a fifth of the population in each country would prefer unification.”
Free euthanasia!
Oh please.
I doubt it is that high.
But, you are welcome to them.
Be warned,
do not misgender their/they’re/there.
Also, first time off the teet, their/they’re/there tend to get aggressive.
their/they’re/there is not very polite either.
their/they’re/there will burn your gas and electric cars, depending on the day.
Where are these nutbag Americans? In the faculty lounge at some university?
The moron is going to ultimately help our economy. I don’t need Canadian products.
I’m watching these “Ontario is your neighbor” ads that run, like, every 8 minutes on Fox. Beautiful scenery, handsome people, productive workers in natural resources, industry and tech …
And I’m thinking, “Gee, Ontario is sure showing a lot of leg here.”
Does Doug Ford know what he’s doing?
Airtime for televised advertisements is expensive.
Would think that money would’ve been better spent on improving the economy for Canadians in any number of other ways.
But, this isn’t about improving things for the common Canadian so much as proprogandizing Americans now isn’t it?
Doug Ford was in deep with Trudeau. He is a creep.
Wish they’d just close the border. I’d maybe be able to get a tee time in Phoenix!
Honestly, how can you golf in that heat?
A big beautiful fence needs started on our northern border. To me it’s obvious Canada will be a problem down the road.
Well, from north of the border this must seem like shades of 1812 [U.S. invaded Canada, and failed]. We don’t really want to take-over Canada, but cooperating on control of the border is good for both of us. That was the ask. Apparently, Canada is dragging their feet. Canada has at least six banks offering full service retail/commercial services in the U.S. No U.S. banks are allowed to offer full retail services in Canada [a few offer wealth management and corporate services]. And on and on and on it goes on the imbalance if reciprocity. So please don’t whine too loudly. If we really clamped down Canada would suffer more than the U.S.
It would be well worth growing a garden this year. If we don’t have Canadian or Mexican fresh veggies or there is a high tariff on them, store prices will go up, at least temporarily. Besides, a backyard garden tomato beats anything in a store.
Plan on beef prices rising too. We import lot of beef from Canada.
Because of drought and high feed prices US herds haven’t been this small since the 1960s. You don’t just say presto chango to get more beef. It wont be a temporary price increase. Cattle herds take many years of work to build up.
And the chickens have been decimated.
And the Canadians, as well as our other ‘ allies ‘ offered absolutely no help.
To answer President Trump’s statement, no,
I don’t think that they will ever be coming to our aid.
Alternative meats and sources of protein exist. We can live without beef. There is pork, lamb, rabbit, and chicken. Squirl is tasty, as are horses, mules, cats, and dogs if necessary.
I forgot to mention buffalo, ostriches, and venison. Rats would be a stretch, but adequate when one is close to starving.
Roadkill Economy?
Vomit loading…..
Do what the Australian aborigines do. People taste like chicken. The OTHER other white meat.
:O
Prices have been rocketing into the stratosphere since bidung took office anyway, so hubs and I have learned to get by on bacon and shrimp.
Every year I grow my own tomatoes, peaches, and strawberries. That’s about the best I can do here in the desert. But yes they are delicious.
Tim Hortons vs Krispy Kream?
If that is the way Dougie Boy wants it then cancel the work visas from the thousands of Canadians streaming across the border every day for employment in the US. Let all the jobs for nurses, teachers, and engineers go to US Citizens.
What are the Canadians going to do, bleed on us?
Doug ford and tim walz appear to have emerged from the same spot in the shallow end of the gene pool.
So doug wants to make it personal and inflict harm on us, eh?
We’ll just have to see how that works out, won’t we?
Karma’s a bitch.
Meh, much-ado about nothing, IMHO. What kind of pain can Canada’s leadership inflict upon Americans that we haven’t been enduring? As an Arizonan, I’ll be glad if they all choose to stay home in the winter rather than come here and overwhelm all services. Same with Californians. Arizonans don’t want or need either.
Maybe we could recruit those Canadian long-haul truck drivers to work in the US.
The ones that people of the ilk of Ford/Trudeau attacked so viciously during the covid plandemic.
Those truckers could replace the awful illegal aliens such as Solomun Weldekeal Araya driving drunk on I-35 thru Austin TX causing a huge chain reaction pile up killing several Americans.
My slight acquaintance with Canadian truckers is they are really good folks.
Something D. Ford is far from.
No problem, you socialist useful idiot. We will welcome the western provinces to our great country, and leave Ontario to deal with the rest…
The Canadian federal gov is running patriotic ads everywhere. Even on American streaming services like Amazon, Netflix or Disney +. Something about buying local, staying free and cutting trees in a snowy forest. Must be costing a small fortune for…what purpose exactly? Preparing minds for a trade war?
What nobody is asking Canada: Victor Davis Hanson

“Thanks a pantload, Chet”.. at least we get to keep Mike Meyers right??
I’d say those sh!tbox “vote” machines and their clones and software from your Country have wrought just about all the damage we can handle, thank you very little.
Heavenly Father, Please Bless And Keep Dekester ,Dan Dale And All Canadians Of Good Will, In Jesus Name Amen.
Will they take jim carey back????
Jim Carey back? NO. NO. NO. You took him, hollywooded him. You keep him.
OK We accept your terms. Good luck with your future endeavors CA NA DA.
IMESHO, much of the people there spell it as “C eh N eh D eh”.
