All I know is that she ran as a carpetbagger for the U.S. House out of Tennessee’s 5th district just south of Nashville, in 2022 I believe. In a radio interview, given how awful Nashville traffic can be, Michael Patrick Leahy of the Tennessee Star asked her a question about the interstate highways running though TN-5. When she gave some convoluted answer revealing her ignorance of her would-be district’s geography, an exasperated Leahy asked her just to NAME the interstates running through TN-5 (i.e., I-24 and I-65). She couldn’t even do that. So that’s what we’re dealing with here, folks.
I have been noticing for quite some time, a marked convergence on TN by some fairly heavy hitters from multiple sectors, at least on the face of it, of our culture.
Because I have a relative’s family living there, some of it has worried me.
For instance, a woman (whose name escapes me at the moment and whose bookmark hasn’t survived all my browser migrations) who had been tracking the establishment of Islamic terrorist training camps in the (relatively) remote areas across the US had at one point, IIRC, mentioned that the largest concentration of these camps was in TN.
It also (coincidentally?) had a very high (if not the highest) murder rate in the US.
In any case, I continue to flinch inwardly every time I encounter a reference to it. And now here it is again, with all the atttendent unease in its wake.

Morgan Ortegas is a typical I/C phony. After the 2020 census the state legislature in TN changed the lines for the 5th congressional district which used to be all liberal Nashville. With it redrawn it became 25% lib and 75% conservative. She moved to the district and had been there maybe 3 months and ran for the district seat. She knew nothing about the state, the city or the countryside. She didn’t even know the major interstates that ran through the district.
For once I was happy to see our useless state GOP remove her from the GOP primary for not being qualified to run. She really was an unlikeable candidate with all her makeup (and I mean her face was loaded with it). Anyone who is compelled to wear that much makeup is either deeply troubled/insecure or trying to cover up something.
I’d never heard of the woman before this happened but she is not trustworthy and this is just another bad appointment by President Trump.
