Jesus said the generation that witnesses the fig tree budding would witness “all these things.” Jesus had described “all these things” throughout the discourse; they are all the things that will occur before He returns. Then He answers the question about the end of the age and says that the fig tree budding would be the starting point of “all these things.” It appears that the context of the fig tree budding is about the life of the generation that saw Israel become a nation again. If this is true, the life of the generation would be 70-80 years. The signs rapidly converging around us show that this length is reasonable. A word of caution here. Though, the 70-80 year generation argument is convincing, we should take care not to pinpoint dates. God designed His inspired Word with purposeful patterns and symmetry. However, we don’t have the luxury of having the exact number of years set out for Christ’s 2nd Coming like His 1st Coming in Daniel 9:24-26.

Almost every time I have thought he said something stupid and cringy, it turned out to be accurate, brilliant, and the cringe just gives it more milage as his critics report what was said, and EVERYONE remembers it.

Had Trump known about Soleimani’s past he would have known that Soleimani commanded troops that fought alongside the United States against the Taliban! That cooperation would end when the idiot George W Bushed mouthed the words crafted by his Canadian speechwriter – David Frum – that Iran was part of an “axis of evil”. When has Israel ever fought alongside American troops? The answer is NEVER!
Had Trump known anything about Soleimani he would have known that Soleimani’s forces were instrumental in eradicating ISIS in Iraq and in decimating ISIS in Syria (which Trump takes credit for).
Bibi duped Trump into murdering Soleimani and at the last minute washed his hands of the joint operation because naturally, he did not want Israel to be a target of Iran’s wrath. Bibi rather US troops be the target of Iran’s wrath and they were when Iran bombed a US military base in Iraq nearly killing US soldiers many of whom had to be airlifted to Germany with head industries.
It was really amazing to hear what Trump said in that speech especially given the timing when the last thing any American politician wants to do is say anything negative about an Israeli prime minister.
