The Christian people of Nigeria have been brutalized by Boko Haram and regional elements of the Islamic State (ISIS). In February a small group of around 200 U.S. military technical and training personnel were sent to Nigeria.
Last night President Trump announced a joint U.S-Nigeria taskforce has eliminated ISIS #2 leader, Abu Bilal al-Minuki, who ran the Islamic State of West Africa Province.

This battle in Nigeria against the Islamists and their murderous ideology has been going on for almost two decades now. You may remember the story of the 100 schoolgirls who were abducted by these same factional elements. The conflict remains as a physical and spiritual battle in a region soaked in bloodshed.

I believe the girls were both Christian and muslim girls – but a person who chooses Christianity as their faith with Islamic relatives are often also put to death. In captivity, many of those young girls were forced to convert to islam.
