This, THIS RIGHT THE F**K HERE, is exactly what you, me, and everyone with a logical brain was talking about back in 2020 and 2021 when the various state governors were using “Public Health Emergency” declarations to rule by unilateral fiat and remove constitutional and legislatively enacted rights.
THIS STORY, happening right now in Alburquerque, is a direct and specific outcome of NOT PUSHING BACK in ’20/’21 and allowing governors to take control without legislative approvals. The governor has just declared gun possession unlawful, under the auspices of a Public Health Emergency.”
Folks, they are testing the waters, and there needs to be an immediate lawsuit and injunction.
(Via AP) – ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Friday issued an emergency public health order that suspends the open and permitted concealed carry of firearms in Albuquerque for 30 days in the midst of a spate of gun violence.
The Democratic governor said she is expecting legal challenges but felt compelled to act in response to gun deaths, including the fatal shooting of an 11-year-old boy outside a minor league baseball stadium this week.
The firearms suspension is tied to a threshold for violent crime rates that only the Albuquerque area currently meets. Police are exempt from the temporary ban on carrying firearms.
Lujan Grisham said the restrictions “are going to pose incredible challenges for me as a governor and as a state.”
“I welcome the debate and fight about how to make New Mexicans safer,” she said at a news conference, flanked by leading law enforcement officials, including the district attorney for the Albuquerque area.
Lujan Grisham referenced several recent shootings in Albuquerque. Among them was a road rage shooting Wednesday outside a minor league baseball stadium that killed 11-year-old Froyland Villegas and critically wounded a woman as their vehicle was peppered with bullets while crowds departed an evening game. Do not be naive enough to think this is not being coordinated with the people in control of the White House. There is ZERO chance this is an independent decision by the New Mexico governor, ZERO CHANCE.
Now…. Connect the dots. YESTERDAY
White House – […] “The actions of persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. For this reason, the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13224 of September 23, 2001, as amended, and the measures adopted to deal with that emergency, must continue in effect beyond September 23, 2023. Therefore, in accordance with section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency with respect to persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism declared in Executive Order 13224, as amended.”

Raised on a farm with rifle, pistol and multiple shotguns always within easy reach, I was never really a gun rights fanatic before, always thought the NRA was at least a tiny bit radical, and so on.
Call me a full-blown First Amendment Radical NOW. Because THEY MADE me one.
No restrictions. Teach your kids how to use a gun as soon as they have the grip strength to pull the trigger.
My kids have kids now, but yeah, no problem on that.
Of course I meant SECOND Amendment, not First. BUT THAT TOO, likewise even moreso these days.
That is nuts! A child can not control a firearm just because they can pull the trigger.
Many people have been hurt or killed by giving a child a semi auto and the child not being able to control the recoil and the gun starts slam firing.
A child should never be given a gun they cant control. Until they have mastered squirt guns, BB guns, and climbed up the ladder to being old enough strong enough, and responsible for operating a firearm.
I agree. Start them early but provide appropriate firearms and supervision.
One year, I was 6 or 7 years old, Dad remarked that I was “getting pretty good with that BB gun”. That fall I was toting a single shot Stevens .22 and killed my first squirrel with one shot.
I was introduced to 12 gauge and 30-06 WAY too early and struggle with a horrible flinch to this day with long arms (but not hsndguns…they came many years later).
My early introduction and a life growing up around guns ensured that they were not mysterious and mythical things in my young mind and I was completely aware of their destructive potential and did not ” play” with them.
There was exactly NO chance of me or a friends being accidentally shot because they were raised in similar circumstances.
Proper education, including safety, is key. I grew up around guns – my family hunted small game and birds. We were taught very early on, learned to maintain a healthy respect for firearms. That respect continues to this day throughout my family.
A parent should reasonably asses their child’s capability to follow direction and safety rules. That can vary by age because not all children mature at the same rate. I have done my level best to make sure that my kids did not have toy guns so as to not condition them with bad gun handling habits. They have seen every gun that I own and have handled them while unloaded. I’ve made sure to answer any questions they have had and not make the firearms in my home seem like something they need to sneak to see. I keep them secured because as many precautions as you take they might make a mistake that changes their lives forever. My goal is to get them to a point that they can safely carry and use a weapon to hunt under my direct supervision. Everything I do is with the realization that my father was terrible at teaching me firearms safety, the manual of arms of any weapon he handed me, and the confidence to use it appropriately.
I sized my kids for their first gun and assembled a lightweight, and fully adjustable 10/22. That’s a semi-automatic of a reasonable caliber for children, and despite my initial misgivings, it has no iron sights (uses 1.5x prism red dot). They just had their first range trip this last holiday weekend and were, even by my critical eye, very well behaved. Best shots? No, but they listened, were safe, and had a positive experience so they want to do it again. Both are under age 10. Other kids have already shot their first squirrel, maybe even a deer.
I know, lets just do as we are always told by Big Government, so they can say they are making us safer without even enforcing the law on crimes that were crimes in the Ten Commandments. You can have that, but I was taught how to properly use a gun as a child and I taught my sons the same way and both are happy, healthy and an asset to their communities. The right age to teach a child is as soon as he demonstrates a healthy understanding of what he is being taught. Some kids might be 6 years old, some kids are much older, but most kids are in the range of 10-12 years old when they are ready, in my humble opinion. Now it is imperative that we all teach our children when they are ready to learn. It could someday soon save their lives.
I had a rifle at the age of 8. I was taught how to handle a gun, what it meant to aim it, etc. I had no problems. Kids are much smarter than you seem to think they are. Oh, and by the way, I got a BB gun after I had the real rifle…
Sorry, but your squirt guns are a very bad and dangerous habit of teaching CHILDREN to point guns at OTHER CHILDREN!
What happened to PROPER HANDLING AND SAFETY!
I think it poor stewardship to teach children to point guns at other children.
Always show proper technique and safety handling of ALL tools.
More importantly, teach children correctly and not SOCIALLY (Socialism Kills as it is a death cult ideology that always ends up with millions of murdered citizens.
What ever happened to teaching the children PERSONALL RESPONSIBILITY which you have never learned if you always blame the item and not the parent/teacher/enactor/perpetrator.
This country at one time taught kids gun safety in grade school and taught them how to use a firearm.
Of course in this day and age most of our military doesn’t even know how to use firearms. When some branches of military have enlisted walk up and stick their finger on a trigger and pull does not constitute firearms training.
Most hunters who hunt every year teach their children at a young age what firearms/bows are and how to safely use them.
Dad gave me my first gun when I turned 10 years old; single shot, bolt action, 4-10 shotgun. There wasn’t a Meadowlark safe in the surrounding pastures after that, hahaha!
At my high school in the parking lot it wasn’t at all uncommon for guns to be compared, swapped, whatever. Rifles on racks? Of course. Guess what?
There was never a shooting. Never even a brandishing that was threatening. Zip, nada, nothing.
There is something uniquely stupid about liberals and their gun laws …
There’ll be a whole lot of
” Come and try to take them” action the further this communist over reach goes.
God may teach you to stay armed …
Good point. God is watching over us, alright. He’s watching to see what we’re going to do with the good sense He gave us!
He feeds every sparrow, but He doesn’t drop it in the nest…
Good post. “He’s watching to see what we’re going to do . . .” Reminds me of the story of the person on his rooftop waiting to be saved in a flood. A boat came & he sent it away because he was waiting for God to save him. A helicopter came & he waved it away because he was waiting for God to save him. He drowned. But he had a chance to ask God why he didn’t save him. God pointed out that he had sent a boat & a helicopter. 🤦 If we are to do what some suggest – that is galvanize (aka unite) and go as a 2A defending group to voice our opposition to the lawlessness of this governor & others – there has to be a rallying point. We haven’t been able to unite because we’re too spread out & we have no group identity. We know we love the Constitution; we know better than to give up our guns; but we have no idea how to stop this evil before it gets really ugly.
I heard something that I want to share FWIW. Ted Nugent suggests we join & support some of the most engaged 2A defenders in the country – hunters. The organization has people in all 50 states and contact can be made at hunternation.org . One has to read between the lines a bit but it’s worth looking into. It could possibly be a boat or a helicopter. jmho
Thing is, ProperWolf another “Wolfe” (Naomi) with a very different background, and view on guns and gun control, now shares your view.
She WAS a liberal, supported “gun control” believed “nobody needs an assault rifle” etc….now is confident the Covid mandates in the U.S.were not as Draconian as in Aus. is because of 2A.
We have passed the “tipping point” where any measures our enemies attempt, only strengthen US.

All I see is evidence and direct proof of treason by government and officials/unofficials* breaking their sworn oath/affirmation to Uphold and Protect the USA Constitution by DIRECTLY attacking the very Constitution and foundation of the government they are supposed to be a part of and protecting.
Hence, they are directly providing their proof of treason for everyone to plainly see.
There is only one punishment for these traitors, and they know it, which is why they fight like their lives depend on it.
*(all in the government are required to swear/affirm to the US Constitution [Article VI Section 3, which would include all positions incorporated, usurped, and consumed into the government; ie schools-dept. of ed 1979])
The actions of criminals do not determine the freedom of law-abiding citizens. FU tyrannical Democrats.
For any police officer that enforces the tyranny of Democrat politicians, it is not an excuse that you are only doing your job. I would never arrest my fellow citizens in exchange for a pension. Get a new job.
Remember them when you see photos of them arresting citizens. They should be shunned wherever they go.
There are over 3,000 sheriffs in America. Where are they on the C19 bioweapon assault on their citizenry?
I keep getting bombarded by two of them who are…running for Senate.
The right direction for personal ambition.
But the WRONG way for subsidiarity and the doctrine of the lesser magistrates. Localism is where the action needs to unfold.
Any capable sheriffs moving to Washington at this critical juncture should be dead to the MAGA movement.
Sheriffs have the ultimate say in their counties – that’s a lot of power, enough to oust the feds from their counties when necessary. Unfortunately, too many sheriffs either do not understand this and are intimidated by the alphabet agencies, or they use that power against law-abiding citizens. A refresher course is in order, and I have a feeling that’s coming right up after the 2024 election.
ONLY if they ABIDE the US Constitution, which is where their power lies.
The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U. S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be in agreement. It is impossible for any law which violates the Constitution to be valid.
“All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.” Marbury vs Madison, 5 US (2 Cranch), 137, 174, 176, (1803)
“The powers of the legislature are defined and limited; and that those limits may not be mistaken or forgotten, the constitution is written,” – John Marshall
Marbury vs Madison “the Constitution of the United States confirms and strengthens the principle, supposed to be essential to all written constitutions, that a law repugnant to the constitution is void, and that courts, as well as other departments, are bound by that instrument.” – John Marshal
U. S. Constitution Article VI; Section 2
This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding.
I have lived in Santa Fe and was a lonely voice in the socialist darkness of the New Mexico political landscape. This woman’s family has been wrecking New Mexico for a very long time. As expected only law abiding citizens will comply to this unlawful governmental overreach of an executive order. And only law abiding citizens will be hammered by the same. The cartel and lawless members of the ABQ area will totally discard it and will continue their shootings as is being done in Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis, Oakland, Detroit, NYC, and well you get my drift.
Citizen decides to ignore unconstitutional diktat and CCs.
Said Citizen is carjacking target by armed thug. Citizen ends robbery attempt with CC weapon.
Now what?
You can be sure that the CC carrier will be in more trouble than the carjacker.
Uh, don’t wait around for LE, because “I did nothing wrong”?
🙂
Sadly, few conservatives who knew better really pushed back in 2020 and 2021 against the Covid scam. It was fruitless to try to talk friends and family into just saying no to masks. However, too many eyes have been opened now for the same scam to be run ever again. It just ain’t gonna happen. MAGA and the grassroots conservative movement in every iteration is now on to the game of the globalist Uniparty elites. Against the cynics and doomers I declare, We won’t be fooled again!!!
They are putting J6 ‘insurrectionists’ in jail for 20+ years, just for being there, and in some cases even for not being there. That level of tyranny makes lots of people think twice. Lots of people weren’t fooled, they were co-erced. Those of us who were neither fooled nor co-erced comprise a minority.
100% correct regarding minority, sad to say. Would be very welcoming of next-president DJT to pardon every single one of the J6 “insurrectionists” as one of his first acts on inauguration day. Although it would be much more welcome if he could entirely expunge every conviction that was unjustified.
And just BTW, thanks for correct use of “comprise”. Because I’m OCD that way.
Correct, Moray, but it doesn’t take a majority to fundamentally change things. The true believer woke leftist Marxists are a tiny minority of the population, but wield extraordinary power. This is a very long story of the march of secularism that started almost 400 years ago in something we’ve come to call the Enlightenment. They wield the cultural and political power because secularism was triumphant in the 20th century. Christianity was forced into the closet out of which the homosexuals came, the movement which transmogified since the ’60s into the LGBTQ+XYZ movement.
This indicates the death of secularism. It has been weighed in the balance and found wanting. We are currently witnessing the death throes of this bankrupt worldview, and in such cases those embracing it will overreach. Thus we are in the midst by God’s grace of a Great Awakening. Even though who don’t embrace Christianity realize something momentous is happening. So I repeat, we will NOT be fooled again!
Of course the “gun violence” is perpetrated by the nefarious and rebellious CCW permit holders, right? Wrong!
Albuquerque is a shathole full of criminals who have been enabled by democrats. You can’t even leave your car in the hotel parking lot overnight because it will get broken into. No consequences. So, if I’m traveling I never ever stop in Albuquerque, NM.
This totalitarian female is a despot the conservatives in NM need to send packing.
And then ban the use of cars for 30 days because of a recent spate of speeding incidents.
Sacrificing freedom for promises of safety is the clarion call of tyrants.
Spot-on!
You’re missing the autonomous vehicle meme. Banning autos is not the gameplan.
It’s about control.
Sounds like “two weeks to stop the spread”!
Hey, don’t give her any new ideas….
The cartels run the border states with commiecrat governors. This is a first step to arbitrary declaration of “suspension” of our rights. The 30 days will be extended and expanded if it’s not loudly protested.
It’s just to slow the curve 🤔🫣🥴🙄😂
Nice Covid reference!
The reaction to crime should be announcing that every law abiding citizen is encouraged to train to use a firearm and open carry everywhere. Gun sales should be promoted so every thug knows they could be taken out by any grandma at any time. Our founders are rolling in their graves.
Ever think that POTUS Trump is a reincarnated Founding Father???
Like this sheriff.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/09/new-mexico-sheriff-tells-tyrannical-governor-he-will/
I want to hear the same words from every official who swore to uphold the Constitution AS WRITTEN delivered to every Democrat in whatever dictatorial position who sees their power above the Constitution (which they disregard or try to re-interpret) as absolute.
Andrew Jackson in response to Chief Justice Marshall…
“John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!”
It is what public servants of law enforcement swore on a Bible. It is their duty to abide by their oaths.
Every sheriff in the state of New Mexico should respond this exact same way. NM is a border state – every citizen of NM has a right under the Constitution to defend themselves. This POS governor needs to be thrown out by the voters either by recall or at the ballot box. She is owned by the cartels.
These politicians with no allegiances to their oaths or the people who put them into office…maybe…except to themselves keep pushing their corrupt fingers into our chests. Harder and harder each time. I don’t know how many more times we are willing to put up with this escalating battery before collectively we stop muttering to ourselves, complaining online, and bowing down to their despotism. Surely that point will come.
There’s no question where this is headed.
The AP report said the governor was asking the state police to enforce this? If so, then if that is at face value, than these sheriffs or city or town police aren’t involved? IF that is true, then it would make all their bravado just that bravado.
“Folks, they are testing the waters, and there needs to be an immediate lawsuit and injunction.”
Lawsuits and injunctions. The devil’s playground.
Conservatives playing dress-up Lawfare are never going to prevail against the first-order Beast itself.
Arrest for 18 U.S. section 242, conviction, and execution would be far more effective.
RIGHT ON ALL POINTS, SUNDANCE! Lawfare and a Call to Arms is required ASAP!! We are “over the cliff, here”.
“The claim and exercise of a Constitutional right cannot be converted to a crime.” Miller v. U. S., 230 F 486 at 489
“All acts of legislature . . . contrary to natural right and justice are void.” Robin v. Hardaway, 1 Jefferson 109(1772)
Marbury vs. Madison, the 1803 decision: “All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution, are null and void.” Chief Justice Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 5, U.S. (Cranch) 137,174,176.
LII U.S. Code, Title 18, Part I, Chapter 13, – 242 – Deprivation of rights under color of law” . . . makes it a crime for any person acting under color of law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom to willfully deprive or cause to be deprived from any person those rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution and laws of the United States.” . . .”shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.”
“The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statue, to be valid, must be in agreement. It is impossible for both the Constitution and a law violating it to be valid; one must prevail. This is succinctly stated as follows: The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law, but is wholly void, and ineffective for any purpose; since unconstitutionality dates from the time of its enactment, and not merely from the date of the decision so branding it. An unconstitutional law, in legal contemplation, is as inoperative as if it had never been passed. Such a statute leaves the question that it purports to settle just as it would be had the statute not been enacted.” “Since an unconstitutional law is void, the general principals follow that it imposes no duties, confers no rights, creates no office, bestows no power or authority on anyone, affords no protection, and justifies no acts performed under it…. A void act cannot be legally consistent with a valid one. An unconstitutional law cannot operate to supersede any existing valid law. Indeed, insofar as a statute runs counter to the fundamental law of the land, it superseded thereby. No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it.” ~ Sixteenth American Jurisprudence, Second Edition, Section 177.
Note that this action: (1) Took place on Friday which negated any action directed toward The Federal 10th District Circuit Court of Appeals which has jurisdiction over New Mexico regarding the Constitutionality of her edict with respect to the 2A in addition to her use of the NM public health emergency declaration as a means to selectively interpret what does and what does not apply in the Constitution. (2) Was discriminatory because it selectively applied to one county when there were obviously other homicides committed throughout the state but did not apply to Santa Fe and the other northern recreational areas where the wealthier constituents of the state reside. (3) If she is so concerned about the well being of children, is she going to enforce the upcoming covid mandates including that the new vaccine will most likely be required for children?
Let’s try that again. 1. Is declared by a person who has no authority to make such a statement.
The. End. (of argument.)
The problem of course is that one or many uniformed officers may decide this is a good idea and start arresting or shooting citizens. It’s even *likely* — because she is a politician, and therefore obviously checked with her power cohort before opening her yap.
Nice try at rehashing what I already stated. Until someone (the 10th Circuit?) and slaps her plus the other NM political enablers down this unconstitutional malfeasance will continue.
Raised in The Bronx, NY – circa 1940s, Pops had a 22 that we kids were all able to target practice with. Yup, The Bronx! These bottom feeder politicians are out of control with *their agenda*. They do it without any concern of retaliation – interesting!
I agree with SD – Not enough people PUSHBACK. It’s essential we show our force in numbers at every turn.
I am only one little grain of sand – but I ALWAYS throw sand whenever possible. Masks again are in our future – DON’T DO IT!
Love the nostalgia. All points in time had their own issues but life, overall, was different then. I also like your action plan; drop sand no matter how small. Just drop it and walk away.
I’m waiting for the statements from all of the NM “elected” individuals to DC on their position on this. As of now, I haven’t seen ANY. The only pushback I’ve seen is from a sheriff and even that is tepid; “I have reservations” but I guess any pushback is much better than none.
https://t.co/XrLc02epKm
NM Gov is the first to attempt the destruction of the 2nd Amendment.
Any bets MI Gov or Arizona Gov will follow this exact marching order ?
Will MI Gov or NM Gov be selected to replace Dementia Joe in the 2024 Election as their prize for their radical unlawful Attempt on the 2nd Amendment?
Is it possible they are showing their radical cards to the DC clowns assuming there is going to be an opening at the top of the government? Wouldn’t it be a typical demonrat move for Kamala to bring in a woman governor as her VP?
The Daily Signal (Heritage Foundation) has run several articles in regard to armed Americans SAVING THE LIVES of people involved in somebody else’s criminal use of firearms. Latest example:
https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/09/07/12-defensive-gun-uses-show-armed-citizens-make-communities-safer/
Put THAT in your anal-redundant pipe and smoke it Grisham.
https://jonathanturley.org/2023/09/09/new-mexico-governor-suspends-gun-rights-in-albuquerque-for-public-health-emergency/
It’s up to the NM sheriffs to uphold this request, it can be thwarted real quickly if the sheriffs have a clue.
I was an accounting major in college in the late 80s. We were required to take at least a couple of law classes. I remember clearly how our law professor alerted us to/warned us about the glaring potential of misuse of public health law. It has always been broad and ill-defined. After what was done to us in 2020 under the umbrella of public health law, let it no longer be a surprise to any of us when we see public health law invoked to cover the removal of our Constitutional rights as well as being applied to issues important to the NWO like climate change/global warming.
At some point we will need to draw our line in the sand (that which remains after throwing as much as possible into their machinery) and regionally resist en masse. I say regionally because have you looked at a map of the US recently? We are spread out all over the place. Massive civil disobedience like you see in Europe will be difficult here. 80% of Europeans live in the cities that’s why the pictures look like they do. We did see something similar in D.C. after VSGPDJT was elected and the dims all organized to protest the 2016 election and issue their threats. I would postulate that all of that was funded by the very wealthy DNC and their many influential minions (as opposed to being spontaneous). So, try to focus regionally and find a way to galvanize. Ted Nugent used that word ‘galvanize’ when speaking of his website hunternation.org. Obviously hunters are big 2A freedom champions and Ted Nugent is a very loud Patriot. Anyway, he mentioned that hunternation.org has people in all 50 states. I like to read between the lines. I thought it might be useful to mention Nugent’s resource here. If anyone has anything to add, please do so. The more we know . . .
…In response to the unconstitutional order Sheriff John Allen from Bernalillo County north of Albuquerque announced he will not comply with the unconstitutional order…
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/09/new-mexico-sheriff-tells-tyrannical-governor-he-will/
If your area has a ‘Constitutional Sheriff’ like Sheriff Allen, then you have an ally to line up next to when the time comes to galvanize. See JeffD_NC comment above. Sheriffs are elected. Make sure you elect a Constitutional Sheriff.
Unfortunately my state has a single state sheriff who is a bureaucrat a couple levels down in the state dept of public safety.
Yes. That is unfortunate. I’ve lived in the West all my life and always in states wherein each county had its own elected Sheriff. My husband follows Sheriff Richard Mack (ret) who talks a lot about the power a Sheriff has, unbeknownst to many, and tries to educate people on how to question a candidate.
Nevertheless, wherever you are you can support the 2A by having a look at Ted Nugent’s site hunternation.org. You don’t have to be a hunter. Ted says his organization has people in all 50 states and encourages people to galvanize with others of like mind with regard to our 2A, hunter or not.
Where exactly did he say he would not enforce it? He has reservations….
Sounds parcel tongue to me.
However, as the elected Sheriff, I have reservations regarding this order. While I understand and appreciate the urgency, the temporary ban challenges the foundation of our Constitution, which I swore an oath to uphold. I am wary of placing my deputies in positions that could lead to civil liability conflicts, as well as the potential risks posed by prohibiting law-abiding citizens from their constitutional right to self-defense.
I was elected to represent and safeguard all constituents and to ensure the balance between our rights and public safety is maintained. That means we must critically evaluate any proposed solution to the deeply rooted issue of gun violence, ensuring we both protect our community and uphold the values that define us as a nation.
Sheriff Allen is a democrat. Surprising that he openly opposes this action by the governor.
Sounds like he takes his oath to uphold the Constitution (federal, and perhaps state as well) seriously. People should stand up and stand with him while they have been given this golden opportunity to do so. Nothing begets courage like courage.
Where did he say OH HELL NO!
Its not that complicated, really.
The Constitution does NOT mention, at all “Public health” when dilineating those powers and authorities to be divided up between the 3 branches of the Federal Govt.
Ergo, the Federal Govt has NO authority or power, regarding public health.
10th makes it a State or lical Gov. issue.
But, the Fed Govt. DOES have authority to intervene, whenever a State or local Govt. attempts to impinge on any citisens rights, whether under the guise of “Public Health” or any “Emergency”.
The Constitution isn’t really THAT complicated,..
Is your reply an attempt to insult me? Sure sounds like it. We are not even on the same page. You should read others’ comments before you decide to get all holier than thou. I know most here think you damn near walk on water. But not me. I wonder about you because sometimes your comments, like the one above, are a non sequitur and are barely intelligible with poor grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Others are very polished and succinct with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation. You’ve been posting here for a very long time. I notice things.
Regardless, let me straighten you out in all your holier than thou arrogance. My first comment was answered by someone who, just like you, has no reading comprehension. Her reply was a non sequitur. But I decided she raised a good point with the link she posted and so I graciously backed her up with a short, simple comment. You decided to thump your chest, demonstrate your self-announced superior intellect, and beat me up with what had been a fairly decent exchange of information.
So, for those of you who have poor reading comprehension, I will restate my original post in simpler terms.
Galvanize with others of like mind. Ted Nugent has a website called hunternation.org. He welcomes individuals who are also 2A defenders, be they hunters or not. In the meantime, 1) train yourself to read between the lines and, 2) familiarize yourself with the Declaration of Independence. Then find out if your Sheriff is like Sheriff John Allen. Many are not. When push comes to shove, as it may, and you have a Sheriff like John Allen, you have an ally to stand beside. Not only you and the Sheriff, but you, the Sheriff, and a galvanized group of like minded individuals.
Good that you slapped dutchman down, tbag14. He does have the tendency to treat this forum as his personal playground. Watch out for his main sycophant Black Knight, too.
Thanks. I appreciate your post. 👍❤️🇺🇸
Visited Santa Fe during the end of the mask mandate. In Texas the illegal mandate had been ended. It was horrible. You couldn’t walk in a store with your nose showing (mask on) without some Karen jumping on you. Makes me not want to spend a penny in that state ever again. We must vote with our checkbook & our voice.
Same here – my family and I passed thru New Mexico on our way to Texas in 2021, found the mask mandate especially strongly enforced on the reservations. I have no desire to ever go there again. Sad, because it is a beautiful state.
I’m not sure what domestic terrorism means. I see most of it coming from the FBI, police and what appear to be agents associated with state and federal government against the citizenry.
Shall not be infringed.
Speaking as an average (not feminist) 70 year old woman with eyes and ears open in this time of increasing peril for our country, I can’t STAND feminist gov’t leaders — nasty two-faced pieces of work who are fully committed to cock-eyed leadership that will ultimately do nothing but bring our country further down. God never intended women to be at the helm in place of men!!
As a 75-year-old woman, I completely agree!! It seems that most of the women who rise to positions of power are angry, bitter feminazis who are looking to make everyone pay because no one invited them to the prom in high school. If I were a business owner, I would NEVER hire a woman!
Well, it’s not like the Fascists’ have not been repeatedly and loudly saying they were going to do this, oh, and lock you in your hovel on 1000 calories a day ration of bugs, to combat the Climate Emergency. America was warned and failed to preempt these tyrants. Now the choice is surrender or resist with the required level of force.
Bernalillo sheriff won’t comply with temporary New Mexico gun ban.
“I have reservations regarding this order. The temporary ban challenges the foundation of our Constitution, which I swore an oath to uphold.”
He never stated that he would not enforce this. Just a word salad of weasel words.
Exactly.
NO where in his statement does he say he WILL NOT enforce her diktat.
Hmmm 30 days. Short enough to do damage but not long enough for a final judicial judgement. They are definitely planning something.

The actions of persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support terrorism continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States.
The above quote refers to the FBI, right?
Yeah, Joes edict is even more troubling to me, than the NM Gov.
They have moved way too far down the “hate speach” road, so that challenging their narrative is seditious, insurrectionist, and therefore terrorism.
“One mans Terrorist, is anothers freedom fighter.”
I’m sure the cartel goons operating with impunity in NM will happily ignore the new rule. It’s not for them anyway. It is for YOU, law abiding citizen with a legal concealed handgun in you pocket. Just to see if you roll over.
I have her on my “enemies of the people” list.
I just want one person, JUST ONE, to look this sorry bitch in the eye and demand to know just who the bright blue fck she thinks she is, and not move one inch until he gets an answer.
Given that this is a clear violation of not just the Constitution and state law but the oath she swore, this lunatic should already be under arrest.
This isn’t the only direct downstream consequence of failing to say NO loudly enough three years ago. $4-$6 gas, the biggest war in Easter Europe since 1945, abject humiliation, prostration before foreign enemies, …..the list grows daily.
I live in NM and can pretty much assure you the shootings she is talking about did not involve open and concealed permit holders. This is a test case, likely meeting a quick end.
The larger and more important issue is the edict on Terrorism, which depending on the evolving definitions could conceivable include most of MAGA.
Bernalillo Sheriff John Allen is first patriot to tell Governor Grisham to get lost. Where are the others? This is where the men you can count on show up.
Uh… He said nothing of the kind. All he said was that he had “reservations”.
My bad.
Albuquerque Mayor responds👇
In other words, the guvnor didn’t “consult” with the mayor before signing the order…
What does he mean by “not responsible”? I think I read that this tyrannical governor is asking this to be enforced by the NM State Police, is that right? Because if it is, than his statement is meaningless, just weasel words from a weasel politician.
When guns are outlawed, I will be an outlaw.
The first major mass shooting incident, was the one in Texas, at the University tower,..some here may remember (I do!).
EVERY review, both immediately after, and with the passage of time, says the same thing.
The carnage would have been much worst,…except.
It was just before deer season, and when the shooter started, law abiding citisens (good guys with guns) shot back, forcing the shooter to hunker down behind the 3′ wall around the flat roof, and fire through the downspout holes, rather than over the top of the wall.
This greatly limited his field of fire, and potential for victims.
We have known, from the outset the obvious truth and yet ignored it.
Bernalillo County Sheriff responds 👇
He says exactly NOTHING.
Cartels and gangs are shooting up ABQ and the the governor bans law abiding concealed carry permitees that have been fingerprinted and investigated from protecting themselves and their family.
Yup, that’ll work. You can’t underestimate the stupidity of a democrat.
Or, how’s about the sheriff in Bernalillo county refusing to comply. That’ll do, for starters.
Did he? Source?
This idiot is just another symptom of the problem. The root cause of the problem is the rank stupidity and ignorance of the voting public. There are examples of this in much too many places. The founders didn’t want everyone to vote, and the current situation is the reason why, dumb people vote for these kinds of politicians.
Welcomes debate ? There is no debate. I would summarily ignore this ignorant tyrannical heifer
The only proper response to this dictate is of course full ignoring of it and taking steps to remove the dictator. Make no mistake, it isn’t time to file lawsuits against the governor to correct the situation she has created, it is time to use the 2nd Amendment to correct it. Some grievances are just too grievous to be corrected by a petition, particularly when the courts will not actually correct the situation by removing the governor from office for her overstepping her powers under the Constitution of the United States and New Mexico. That will take an act of extreme prejudice to correct.
Stand up and take her down!!! Impeach immediately! Get her into court immediately! Do it ALL ASAP!
Reject her unconstitutional order and let her arrest you. Then take her for everything she is worth for violating your Constitutional Rights.
I doubt the Sheriff will be arresting anyone! He will not violate the Constitution or carry out an illegal order!
People are pissed!! Talk about overreaching..
The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution
is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that
protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
As ratified by the States:
“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security
of a free state, the right of the people to keep and
bear arms shall not be infringed.”
We need a well regulated militia.
The best two sources to go to see what “Well Regulated Militia entails is the federal Militia Act and the 1939 Supreme Court Case US v Miller.
tens of thousands of NM citizens should be marching on the capitol today with their UNCONCEALED weapons.
tens of thousands of NM citizens should be demanding (IN PERSON) that the sheriff, a Constitutionally sworn office holder, to do his duty and arrest the governor for dereliction of duty and violating her oath of office.
but a tweet will also suffice.
“This, THIS RIGHT THE F**K HERE, is exactly what you, me, and everyone with a logical brain was talking about back in 2020 and 2021 when the various state governors were using “Public Health Emergency” declarations to rule by unilateral fiat and remove constitutional and legislatively enacted rights.”
Yup we all said it and were called “conspiracy theorists” for our efforts.
