According to Mediaite, 12.8 million people watched the Trump-less GOP debate on Fox News last night. The first GOP primary debate in 2015, also hosted by Fox, had 24 million viewers. Tucker’s interview with Trump has been viewed 237 million times so far.
Kind of a generous use of the term “ Whopping” but regardless of whatever the number, it was too many viewers as far as Ron and his nonperformance was concerned . I haven’t heard or seen much comment about Ron at the debate – did he stay for the whole thing ?
BTW on PDJT’s astronomical numbers on that Tucker webcast ( an apt description in his case ) , even if you make allowances for repeat viewers and Russian bots ( sarcasm) – he probably had something over 81 million original viewers just as a guess ….

Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution reads “[t]he executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.” Therefore, President Donald Trump had executive power vested in him through his presidential office. From that power flows certain privileges and indeed executive immunities. Among these privileges are those expressly delineated in the Constitution itself. The impeachment process, for example, as stated in Article II, Sec. 4, requires that for all “high Crimes and Misdemeanors,” the President “shall be removed from Office.”
In other words, the Constitution lays out a process by which presidents of the United States are to be prosecuted—through impeachment. The reason impeachment, rather than traditional prosecution (and attendant punishments like incarceration), applies to the president is because of the uniqueness of the office itself. The president exposes himself to outsized publicity, controversy, and risk as a result of his office. Therefore, the punitive measures that uniquely attach to the executive officeholder are consonant with the duties and powers of the office itself. we can agree that there is really no way to calculate accurately how many actual people “viewed” either show. From end to end, is one issue. or what it just 50 percent? how many were drunk? what was the demographic? too old to understand or too young to care…all meaningful in the total…but we don’t know these things. we just know “views”…and each platform had it’s own way to define what “view” means. When you consider how x/twitter did it and how fox did it, it becomes clear that the numbers fox is claiming is probably a few million more than what actually happened. and for twitter…you could make the argument that globally, which is this platforms reach, the number during live was probably less than the number of people who actually watched it together, on one device! this is the contrast to make between a large screen tv designed for household and multiple viewers for cable news…versus a web platform designed and exclusive to only the web portal not shared by ANY cable news and household tv, reducible to one device, and likely shared by many people who wanted to watch it together.

tucker has a contract with x/twitter…it’s never going to happen that truth social or any other social media will be allowed to legally port live stream content that x/twitter has contracts over.

what happens 12-24 hours AFTER a live stream is a little different. contracts are drawn up and then other social media and other platforms are permitted to carry the content..but again, almost always, only the links to it…which drives the users back to x/twitter in this case.
this is the standard business model for social media btw…it’s not like twitter invented this. it has been the standard for a very long time. same thing happens at facebook, instagram, gab, truth social, rumble, tiktok, other.
