Interestingly, as expected, the various social media platforms and internet connectivity therein are sketchy and intermittent as the critical USA midterm election nears.
As we have done in the past, today we solicit reader feedback on the sentiment in/around your area as the midterm election nears. What is your local sense of the tone, voter intent, enthusiasm or lack therein, in the last 72 hours before election day on Tuesday.
This request comes with a very important and specific qualifier, DO NOT USE social media to gauge or report your sense of where things stand. The reasoning is simple; the algorithm you are exposed to is not necessarily the reality of your environment. The information being fed into the data system that holds your specific attributes, is purchased and created specifically to provide you a specific sense.
Whether you realize it or not, your algorithm is the culmination of specific identifiable definitions of your personage and your interests. That algorithm id may or may not represent you, but it is sold and used in order to influence your decision-making on a variety of aspects from commerce (purchasing decisions) to behavioral modification (influences).
As a consequence, the best view of the reality in your vicinity is what you personally experience in real life, not during your travels on the internet. With that thought in mind, what is your sense of the voting intent in/around your proximity?
From my own travels what I can identify with ease is the promoted narrative about abundant enthusiasm for leftist candidates is mostly false. I cannot identify any substantive enthusiasm to vote for the communist agenda of the Democrat Socialists or any other manufactured policy of the political left in real life.
Sure, online and in the media, there is a specific pipeline of information operating at maximum output to promote a blue wave premise. However, in real life -during my travels- I do not see that same level of enthusiasm claimed by oppositional advocates.
To the contrary, the datapoints and behavior of the political left indicate they are ‘trying’ to generate the illusion of something, as well as create some self-fulfilling prophecies. The appearances of President Obama in Detroit on behalf of Al-Sayed is an example. Obama is only deployed to get out the black vote. If the Muslim Brotherhood candidate was ahead in Michigan, Obama simply wouldn’t be there.
Additionally, the proverbial lawn sign indicators do not lend favor to a blue wave narrative.
That said, Georgia and Texas will be interesting to watch play out. Both of those states have been targeted by the various BLM, and DSA level operatives for several years. However, while they have succeeded in Georgia, they have not had a similar success in Texas – despite the lone star state being specifically vulnerable due to the Bush camp’s comfort with the larger socialist cause.
President Trump, DHS, ICE, DOJ and HSI have done all they can to trigger fear amid the professional population of election operatives who deploy fraudulent ballot operations as part of their electoral strategy. The Lawfare alliance has been spending billions to counteract this election integrity operation. It is yet to be determined which one will ultimately end up tipping the scale amid the various illegal voter systems.
What we can judge with some accuracy is the sense in our vicinity. What is the intent of our family? What do our neighbors say? What is the sense within our local community? These are measures of real sentiments that can be adequately assembled to provide a larger predictive sense.
Taking the social media network and subsequent algorithmic feed out of the equation, what is the reality of the sentiment in your area as best it can be judged?

Writing from the lower Hudson Valley of Nueva York about 50 miles north of the Mandami Caliphate.
My town and county are still slight majority Red/Republican but sadly we have been getting a lot of Commie DemonRats moving up from the City permanently since the days of the Scamdemic.
These new Dems – of all ages- are much different than the Dems of old that used to rule my town. The newbies are very far left and in reality they are DSAs more than straight Dems.
Our biggest and most important race is to get rid of the Bucktooth Bimbo from Buffalo, also known as Kathy Hokum currenty the worst governor in the US. Bruce Blakeman is a dream candidate and it looks like he has a really good chance if we can overcome the damn cheating.
Another big race is to get Congressman Mike Lawler back into office and both sides are pumping in a ton of money. I have been boots on the ground knocking on doors for Mike and other local Repubs and I must say, that people are very upset with the price of home heating oil as the weather is just starting to get chilly. It is very hard for me to get them to listen to all the great things that PT has done for our country. All they care about is heating their homes and feeding their families which of course is understandable.
Based on what I’m seeing on the streets, I think the Repubs have a good fighting chance. I really don’t feel like a Blue wave is coming, that’s for sure.
I feel for you Seneca.
I’m in the great shithole of Williamstown Massachusetts.
I hate these people.
Hey Patrick, I graduated from the local high school in said locale.
Vote straight R, we might actually get someone elected!
How did you end up there?

Yeah? Maybe. All I get are obtuse ads I hate and don’t care about. I’m voting Republican and no new spending locally just as always. Nothing in the ads give me cause to do otherwise.
Well maybe that clip of the leftist child killer putting on a medical coat looking like the blonde doctor on scrubs got me for a split second before I realized what I was looking at. I vote for scrubs reruns. That’s as close as I come. Thanks for reminding me of a funny TV show while I vote for whoever Trump endorses.
The ads I get a lot of are gambling ads on your phone.
My wife plays those silly things constantly.
I live in Bright, Indiana, Dearborn County, very solid Republican. Went 10/31 early voting they have set up. Waited at least an hour to vote, long lines and from what I seen, no apathy. I’m in Erin Houchins district, she is not losing. We sit right next to Cincinnati, Ohio. It was good to see, a safe area but lots of people coming out, I know antidotal, but made me feel better.
NE Michigan here, Lower Peninsula:
Nowhere near as many yard signs as usual around here, even for a midterm, which I find odd. Even odder is the way in which Abdul yard signs have suddenly cropped out out of nowhere like weeds over the last week or so. This is a pretty solidly Republican area, with a “small l” libertarian bent.
In ’24 the Dems incessantly ran this ad in our area talking about Project 2025 and how President Trump was coming for the teachers, probably because they took the number of teachers living here at face value. That backfired on them BIG TIME on Election Day as the thought of the widely reviled public school teachers finally facing justice sent turn-out sky high. THIS year they seemed to repeat the mistake with a ad defending vaccines, involving Bill Gates of all people. If any one group is more hated here than teachers, it’s nurses. The ad stopped airing recently, so they may have realized the mistake, but it would be funny if one of their own ads motivated a deluge of MAGA again.
Are people watching the news in Michigan?
When you are out there voting in your state, realize something special may well be happening at the same time in Michigan. The Muslim brotherhood candidate who forgot to taqiyya his campaign across the finish line rejected support and now they turn on him.
So smile while you vote. Maybe even laugh a little!
My subdivision in Northeast Ohio contains about 100 homes. Usually during election season the homes with political signs number in the 90’s and are fairly evenly split, but lean right. This year there are NO Dem signs and very few Republican signs. The Akron Beacon Journal has been doing their best to tilt influence toward Amy Acton for Governor.

newsletter put this query to ask an AI (Grok works best – Grok.com) to get you a personalized voter guide for conservatives. Just put in your own address and copy and paste the text below. I tried it for myself in BC and a daughter in CO and it produces great results.
Look up my precinct from my street address: [your address].
Draft me an attractive, easy-to-use, personalized voter guide for the November 3rd election. Begin by finding a sample ballot from my local supervisor of elections. End with a printable 1-page cheat sheet laid out like the ballot that I can take with me when voting.
List my early voting locations, dates, and hours (closest first), my Election Day polling place, and the mail-ballot request deadline.
Flag the candidates and issues I am likely to vote for, using what you already know about me plus: I am a pro-Christian, pro-border-enforcement, pro-capitalism, pro-medical-freedom, pro-life, pro-Trump, pro-merit, anti-communism, anti-socialism, anti-globalism, anti-woke, anti-DEI, Rush Limbaugh-style small-government conservative.
For each candidate/issue, tell me what the state/local GOP recommends. If a candidate or issue is endorsed or recommended by state/local Democratic party, mark it with a red warning label to that effect.
For candidates: Who has endorsed each recommended candidate?
For issues/amendments/initiatives: Quote reliable conservative organizations (e.g. Heritage, Federalist, or state-level conservative groups) that issued voter guides. Highlight if there are disagreements or “pro/con” choices.
For appointed judges (retention votes): identify who appointed them. Check news reports from decisions and evaluate whether the judge’s rulings have displayed a liberal/progressive character. Let me know if any reliable conservative organization is for/against retention.
For incumbent elected judges: check news reports and let me know if any partisan leaning is apparent, or if the judge has any history of releasing violent criminals who reoffended. Give me whatever statistics are available (age, length of service, political registration).
For new judicial candidates: check public sources (donation records, voting history, news) and the candidate’s website and list or guess at their political party.
If a section doesn’t apply to my ballot, say so and skip it. Link a source for every recommendation. If you cannot verify a fact (a candidate’s party, an endorsement, a ruling), say so. Do not guess.
Ask me questions if necessary to make recommendations on particular candidates or issues.
