Do they want a civil war? It might sound good around the DC cocktail party circuit, whipped into a frenzy by the Lawfare crowd, but the outcome would not be in their interests.

According to the Washington Post, the DOJ is now putting witnesses in front of a grand jury to solicit evidence to support a “seditious conspiracy” charge against President Trump for attempting to overthrow the United States government and Joe Biden.

Recent subpoenas obtained by The Post show that two Arizona state legislators were ordered to turn over communications with “any member, employee, or agent of Donald J. Trump or any organization advocating in favor of the 2020 re-election of Donald J. Trump, including ‘Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.’ ”
No former president has ever been charged with a crime in the country’s history. In cases when investigators found evidence suggesting a president engaged in criminal conduct, as with Richard M. Nixon and Bill Clinton, investigators and successive administrations concluded it was better to grant immunity or forgo prosecution. One big note of caution on this entire ridiculous narrative… especially as it pertains to the media construct…. Please, keep in mind that Democrats are getting crushed right now by their own constituents. Democrat politicians are deflated and disillusioned as the people are not happy with the current state of the economy or society overall.
Democrats have been reduced to a small section of the most extreme-leftists and blue-haired suburban leftist women riddled with guilt. That’s the base now. Everyone else is demoralized and deflated. Morale in democrat circles is terrible.
With that in mind, this type of narrative engineering by the political media can also be looked at as an effort to boost morale. Not much more.
Personally, despite knowing how over-the-top totalitarian these DC people have become, I do not see them wanting armed conflict with more than half of the country. An attempt to criminally convict President Trump would be the first shot in a civil war. It would not, and will not, end well.

There will be no hot civil war in the USA. The people were too lazy and or cowardly to stand up when so many atrocities were perpetrated upon them. To wage and win CW2, Patriots would need a nationwide coordination of state’s militias. There’s the first problem. The few militias out there are mostly unprepared and unable to wage a true, to the death war. A few members of a few groups know fire and maneuver and basic SUT. Most, however, don’t. And most members are overweight, out of shape, and ready to go home after a 3 day class in the woods.
A national militia movement needs a chain of command in all facets of the fight. From tactical boots on the ground and fingers on triggers; to supply logistics (how much ammo are you gonna carry and what happens when you run out, if you don’t get killed first?); to mobile surgical hospital units; to motorized cavalry; to NODS (night observation devices, e.g. night vision); to food and water; to communications; and more.
Besides a national coordination of state’s militias, you need the state’s militias! If there’s no viable militia fighting force in, say, X, Y, or Z state, how do you fight in that state….without a fighting force? And even with a few organized militias in communication with each other, to throw the communists out and reclaim America you need highly detailed battle plans and after action plans.
The point is this: it’s not so much that people are lazy or cowards. While people may cry “WAR!”, the fact is they have no army capable of fighting that war. And most Americans have never SERIOUSLY trained or planned for CW2 and killing their fellow citizens (typing about it is easy, squeezing the trigger not so much). Without national leadership, a national army, a state army, a local army, and real honest to goodness war plans and after plans; the farthest towards CW2 we’ll get is what we’re all doing here: typing about it.
That’s not to say there won’t be individuals who go out blazing. Gun confiscations will bring those few individuals to the forefront. Most however, will meekly surrender their guns when the cops are at the door. They’re not capable of fighting against truly trained SWAT, para-military police. They don’t want a firefight with the kids and wife in the house. They’re gonna retire in 6 months and don’t want to spend the next 10 years in jail for not surrendering their Rock River Arms AR.
Then again, with 300,000 – 400,000 registered machine guns (been a long time since I’ve seen the registry) and many owners having 25,000 to 250,000 rounds on hand, it could get interesting when LE comes to confiscate their $450,000 collection.

This attack on Trump is the real seditious conspiracy: a giant conspiracy to suppress the civil rights of half the country by removing their leader from electoral contention.
There is in fact a constitutional provision that names and blocks this exact kind of subversion of electoral politics, but thanks to 150 years of Supreme Court incompetence, it is not enforced. That is the Article IV section 4 guarantee to the states that they shall have a republican form of government.
The states are all under the federal government so this guarantee implies that the federal government is also restricted to the republican form, which means most fundamentally, in the words of Alexander Hamilton at the NY debates: “that the people shall choose who shall represent them.”
This can be violated in a number of basic ways. One is through election stealing, as took place in the 2020 elections. The Democrats have now implemented, through various forms of vote fraud and electoral fraud, the Stalinist phony democracy where “what matters is not who votes but who counts the votes.”
This is the anthesis of republican government, which requires that it is the people who choose, not the vote counters, meaning that election counts must be *honest*, and not affected in any degree by the vote counters.
But vote fraud is not the only way to block the electoral will of the people. Another is to use the powers of the state to impede or even criminalize political opposition. We see this often in third world countries. Zelensky, for instance, recently full totalitarian in Ukraine, outlawing all political opposition. And this is what Democrats are doing with their J6 investigations; with their well-financed efforts to “cancel” Trumps lawyers and other allies; with their unleashing of the IRS on political opponents (Lois Learner), etcetera.
Another way to block political opposition is by censoring free speech, first of all by government action: colluding with internet niche monopolists to ban opposing speech, setting up ministries of truth to make the government the official arbiter of truth, with competing information dishonestly labeled as “disinformation,” etcetera, all of which is being undertaken by our current Democratic Party.
And there can be private conspiracies to suppress civil rights, which were criminalized under the Civil Rights Acts. Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act gives internet companies substantial protection from those conspiracy charges, but not if the political censorship is the intent.
That is my interpretation of the code section, which includes a “good faith” requirement:
(2)Civil liability
No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be held liable on account of—
(A) any action voluntarily taken in good faith to restrict access to or availability of material that the provider or user considers to be obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, excessively violent, harassing, or otherwise objectionable, whether or not such material is constitutionally protected; or …
Thus under section 230 it is okay if censorship of objectionable content ends up censoring constitutionally protected speech, so long as this is done in “good faith.” What else could “good faith” mean here but that the censorship of constitutionally protected speech must not the intent of the censorship, that it is only allowable if it is must be an incidental by-product of some other intent.
Just about none of the massive political censorship we are now seeing from our internet monopolists is the least bit incidental. It is almost entirely driven by a direct desire to censor opposing political speech, which is the most protected speech under the First Amendment, so almost none of the massive ongoing political censorship ought be held to be protected under Section 230.
Enforcement of the republican guaranteed would go further, making something like the Civil Rights Acts, together with this bar on intent to censor protected speech, a *mandatory* requirement for any form of government to fall within the constitutionally mandated “republican form of government.”
All of these subversions of democracy that we are seeing the Democrats perpetrate today, every one of them would properly be barred by the republican guarantee, and would be actionable, if only the Supreme Court was doing its job and enforcing this most important provision of our entire Constitution. Instead they have vitiated the republican guarantee with the most foolish misunderstandings of its fundamental purpose.
I believe that the right case can rectify this deficiency, and could be brought before the Court now and win, but that would be another too-long comment.
It’s a certainty that President Trump will be indicted on false charges of seditious conspiracy to overthrow the government. The only question is when — before the 2022 mid-terms, or after. It’s also a certainty that the Democrats will move heaven and earth to steal the 2022 election cycle.
Trump should immediately announce that he is running for president and should begin campaigning for the candidates he endorses starting in mid-August. At the start of his campaign, he should focus on economic issues and on law & order issues.
He should also emphasize the crucial importance of MAGA Republicans volunteering to become poll workers and election process monitors.
This will force the Democrat’s hand on their forthcoming Trump indictment. The temptation to indict him before the mid-terms will become overwhelming.
When Biden’s DOJ indicts him on politically-motivated charges and attempts to arrest him, as they most certainly will, the message that he is all which stands between them and us will be so crystal clear that no one can ignore it.
Trump’s indictment and arrest before the mid-terms will become the kind of motivation needed to encourage MAGA Republicans to do their part in preventing another stolen election.
OK …. What happens next when MAGA Republicans stand firmly united against another election steal and are present in the tens of thousands at the polls and at the counting centers to prevent it from happening again?

So, IMHO the “hot” scenario would parallel, in more than a few key measures, the current strategic Russian objectives and methods in Ukraine and will just boil down to urban vs. rural.
