It is very curious timing in this article from Newsweek, containing massive geopolitical implications, using identified Saudi Arabia sources, would come in advance of Joe Biden’s visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Is this strategic geopolitical pressure from Saudi leader Mohamed Bin Salman (MbS) ahead of the meeting with Biden; or is this a genuine possibility that looms as likely? If the former, then Joe Biden is being geopolitically slow roasted by Saudi Arabia for his previous disparagements and ideological hypocrisy in his visit. If it is the latter, well, then the tectonic plates of international trade, banking and economics are about to shift directly under our American feet.
We have been closely monitoring the signs of a global cleaving around the energy sector taking place. Essentially, western governments’ following the “Build Back Better” climate change agenda which stops using coal, oil and gas to power their economic engine, while the rest of the growing economic world continues using the more efficient and traditional forms of energy to power their economies.
This article from Newsweek is exactly about this dynamic with Saudi Arabia now potentially joining the BRICS team.
NEWSWEEK – Finland and Sweden’s green light to join NATO is set to bring about the U.S.-led Western military alliance’s largest expansion in decades. Meanwhile, the G7, consisting of NATO states and fellow U.S. ally Japan, has adopted a tougher line against Russia and China.
In the East, however, security and economy-focused blocs led by Beijing and Moscow are looking to take on new members of their own, including Iran and Saudi Arabia, two influential Middle Eastern rivals whose interest in shoring up cooperation on this new front could have a significant impact on global geopolitical balance.
The two bodies in question are the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS. The former was established in 2001 as a six-member political, economic and military coalition including China, Russia and the Central Asian states of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan before recruiting South Asian nemeses India and Pakistan in 2017, while the latter is a grouping of emerging economic powers originally consisting of Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) upon its inception 2006, and including South Africa in 2010.
Here is the money quote:
[…] “China’s invitation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to join the ‘BRICS’ confirms that the Kingdom has a major role in building the new world and became an important and essential player in global trade and economics,” Mohammed al-Hamed, president of the Saudi Elite group in Riyadh, told Newsweek. “Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is moving forward at a confident and global pace in all fields and sectors.”
[…] “This accession, if Saudi joins it, will balance the world economic system, especially since the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest exporter of oil in the world, and it’s in the G20,” Hamed said. “If it happens, this will support any economic movement and development in the world trade and economy, and record remarkable progress in social and economic aspects as Saudi Arabia should have partnerships with every country in the world.” (read more)
That would essentially be the end of the petrodollar, and -in even more consequential terms- the end of the United States ability to use the weight of the international trade currency to manipulate foreign government. The global economic system would have an alternative. The fracturing of the world, created as an outcome of energy development, would be guaranteed.

Keep in mind, in early June Federal reserve Chairman Jerome Powell stated, “rapid changes are taking place in the global monetary system that may affect the international role of the dollar.” {LINK}
The western alliance (yellow) would be chasing climate change energy policy to power their economies. The rest of the world (grey) would be using traditional and more efficient energy development. The global cleaving around energy use would be complete.
This is not some grand conspiracy, ‘out there‘ deep geopolitical possibility, or foreboding likelihood as an outcome of short-sighted western emotion. No, this is just a predictable outcome from western created events that pushed specific countries to a natural conclusion based on their best interests.
You can debate the motives of the western leaders who structured the sanctions against Russia, and whether they knew the outcome would happen as a consequence of their effort, but the outcome was never really in doubt. Personally, I believe this outcome is what the west intended. The people inside the World Economic Forum are not stupid – ideological, yes, but not stupid. They knew this global cleaving would happen.
For a deep dive on BRICS, as predicted by CTH, {SEE HERE}. The bottom line is – the 2022 punitive economic and financial sanctions by the western nations’ alliance against Russia was exactly the reason why BRICS assembled in the first place.
Multinational corporations in control of government are what the BRICS assembly foresaw when they first assembled during the Obama administration. When multinational corporations run the policy of western government, there is going to be a problem.
In the bigger picture, the BRICS assembly are essentially leaders who do not want corporations and multinational banks running their government. BRICS leaders want their government running their government; and yes, that means whatever form of government that exists in their nation, even if it is communist.
BRICS leaders are aligned as anti-corporatist. That doesn’t necessarily make those government leaders better stewards, it simply means they want to make the decisions, and they do not want corporations to become more powerful than they are. As a result, if you really boil it down to the common denominator, what you find is the BRICS group are the opposing element to the World Economic Forum assembly.
The BRICS team intend to create an alternative option for all the other nations. An alternative to the current western trade and financial platforms operated on the use of the dollar as a currency. Perhaps many nations will use both financial mechanisms depending on their need.
The objective of the BRICS group is simply to present an alternative trade mechanism that permits them to conduct business regardless of the opinion of the multinational corporations in the ‘western alliance.’
The BRICS team, especially if Saudi Arabia, Iran and Argentina are added creating BRICS+, would indeed be a counterbalance to the control of western trade and finance. This global cleaving is moving from a possibility to a likelihood. If Saudi Arabia joins BRICS the fracture becomes almost certain.

So maybe emptying our strategic oil reserves to bring down the price of gas (aka try to improve his miserable approval ratings) wasnt a good idea after all. Stock up on food. $10 gal / gas just went to $20.
This admin. Is depleting our oil reserves to sell/give to OTHER nations. Not for us.
They are depleting our oil and weaponry reserves.
Loss of National Security through sovereignty, no leverage, circling the drain. Soros will go to his deathbed smiling.
… AND demilitarizing our military at the same time. They’re getting rid of capable military members in favor of “woke” losers who think “pronouns” are the priority. This is not a winning strategy.
truth
^^^THIS^^^. And for this alone, the bastards should hang!
OR PUBLIC FIRING SQUADS on the lawn of the Capital Building…Then see what happens!!!

This hostilely established administration is depleting our existence!
Out damn spot!
Hey folks! Be aware! I got gas at an Indian owned station the other day and they flipped the switch on my pump so that it rang up as premium and I was charged $5.89 per gallon when it was supposed to be $5.02. The owner insisted I pushed Premium which is the button on the right that I have never ever pushed! I always look to be sure 87 is on the left before I push, but would never push the right unless it was a very unusual station that switched them. I have had that happen before, but NOONE ever defaults to pushing the button on the right. The Indian owned stations are always cheaper, now I know how they are able to go so low! It always asks you at the beginning if you want a receipt. Many people select no. It would be super easy for them to rip people off this way. I will no longer go to Indian family owned stations.
An American businessman in India tipped off some customers. I will now never do business with an American.
(Please see how that works. Ignorance is perhaps 50 / 50 everywhere.)
If OPEC goes south it’s over for us. It’s not about the oil. It’s about the almighty dollar.
a loaf of bread moves to $10
Just as I was about to figure out the petro-dollar.
Thanks, joebama.
if you think bitedik cares… he doesn’t. He is in on it…
100% Biden is in on it.
I could stop it with a single phone call, given the authority to make said phone call.
If I can do it, he certainly can, but won’t.
So it being a deliberate act, is the only reasonable conclusion, left.
This is not going according to the WEF plans. If you look for it, there’s a common theme among ALL of these events.
When the US invaded Iraq, what was the first thing the US State Dept. started pushing onto the Muslim population? “Gender equality.” They call it “gender equality,” but we know they have no real interest in women’s rights. Here’s the release for that:
“U.S. bilateral assistance to Iraq focuses on economic reform, assistance to vulnerable groups, human rights, and democracy and governance. We continue to help strengthen the capacity of Iraq’s civil society organizations and elected representatives.”
It’s the exact same cookie-cutter recipe the US State Dept. uses in all of the Muslim countries that have a large US military presence.
Look at this article here. You’ll see where Biden and Co. were trying to shove “gender equality” down South America’s throats, and South America told him to take a hike:
“Virtually no one remembers what happened a year ago when the G7 struck a pose of trying to help the Global South. That was branded as Build Back Better World (B3W). “Promising projects” were identified in Senegal and Ghana, there were “visits” to Ecuador, Panama and Colombia. The Crash Test Dummy administration was offering “the full range” of US financial tools: equity stakes, loan guarantees, political insurance, grants, technical expertise on climate, digital technology and gender equality. The Global South was not impressed. Most of it had already joined BRI. B3W went down with a whimper.”
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-youre-either-us-or-youre-systemic-challenge
There were some recent articles where some 40,000 National Guardsmen were getting released from the military due to noncompliance with the jab. What did Milley say about it? “We only want the right kind of people to join the military.” AKA “gender equality.” His official statement is: “Equality and opportunity are matters of military readiness, not just political correctness.” In their eyes, it’s all or nothing. There are no compromises, regardless of the cost to everybody else.
In the final report to Congress on the fake Trump-Russian collusion hoax, that document didn’t just have a sideline somewhere saying, oh, and besides everything else, Russia is a patriarchy, and that’s not compatible to “gender equality.” No, in fact, those sorts of statements made up the bulk of their explanation as to why Russia is the enemy. In fact, Navalny, the Communust WEF puppet, who was trying to overthrow Putin, made it very clear that “gender equality” would be chief on the list of things to accomplish when he became king of Russia. That’s why you were reading so many Western articles talking about how awful Putin was treating his competitor, Navalny, and yet the same media is silent on Zelensky’s treatment of his competitors.
The real reason behind the animus with Saudi Arabia is, there were two princes vying to be king in Saudi Arabia, the now current king and his brother. The brother is a WEF puppet. The current king and Trump are good friends. The brother lost. The WEF crowd tried to get rid of the current king with that fake Kashoggi incident, trying to delegitimize the king and depose him. It didn’t work. The king still holds a grudge over that. The current king is not interested in “gender equality.”
The fact is, these countries are not interested in becoming “woke” like the new Roman Empire. It’s really the battle of the patriarchies vs. the wokesters, and the wokesters are radical. They don’t care who has to die (see Ukraine) in order to push their world view onto everybody else. And their time is running out. They are desperate, and this is when they will be their most dangerous.
Cybele, Baal et al and the Wiccans as well as the ashcanNazis are all matriarchal religions/cults. They require from ancient antiquity that the men who are mere attendants must be castrated, homosexual, transvestite and subservient and are down with child sacrifice. Go figure.
For everything to go the WEF’s way, NATO has to beat Russia. That isn’t happening. Or at least, that’s what we think.
The BRIC nations are going full steam ahead with agenda 30 and WEF.
Perhaps in some ways. Please explain, I think it is a Yes as to Covid response) Unfortunately most BRIC nations are or could be very tyrannical. Yet a part of what is happening is the BRIC nations don’t agree with who will be in charge of any one world government, and don’t want the corporations in charge, and if they win the battle over the west, they will then fight among themselves, if not sooner.

Yes, the Davos Cabal, you’re “Wokesters”, is getting desperate and they are willing to destroy the World before they lose control over it.
We need to sharpen the guillotines.
To hell with guillotines! Bayonets at their doorsteps in the presence of their families. They must experience unfathomable terror, sibthey they will never rise again.
Not just in the presence of family. There needs to be collateral damage to the point no one ever tries this again. Just like they want to make an example of Trump, we need to make an example of them.
I guess biblical followers better know they have a target on their foreheads. There is no greater enemy of that equal-gender stuff than the Bible. It teaches home and gender hierarchy, not multiple-headed monsters.
These creatures will soon be turning us over to the thought police.
I have never been a spiritual person in the past. I have become one now. I’m not religious but I believe in the powers of God, M Nature, Light, & Truth. I have heard we are in a spiritual war. I honestly don’t know how to define that but I understand nonetheless. Regardless we are at war now. There’s no debating that.
I believe I understand your position on the spiritual aspect in this time. Religion has been a consistent part of my life, but Satan, not a truly palpable spirit.
Since Bush, OBama, the hostility, lying & attempts to tear apart Trump, has cleared my vision.
The seditious take over of the 2020 election, the man -made virus, threats, lockdowns, deaths, destruction, here, & world wide, has blown away my lethargic view of real evil. Satan & his evil followers are as real as rain.
Their goal to control us by any means – depriving food, energy sources, forced medicines., erotic education to youth, extolling abortion to birth & beyond, rather than put energy into contraception, is just giving the finger to any opposition to their commitment.
I want these evil forces taken down, regardless of cost. They cannot prevail. They must be destroyed.
The ball’s in our court.
Bring it!!
Isn’t the current king the one that left a penthouse in Los Vegas by helicopter when the mass shooting took place?

Only the blood of Patriots and Tyrants will save America, IF we have Not missed THAT boat TOO. Pray, but God expects people to ACT, not sit sniveling at a desk as we have been for over a Decade as America was Sold out, INVADED, and Torn to Shreds. better to fight and kill a Few fellow Americans than go to War and kill Millions…Just saying.
You are correct about America being sold out. I understand the frustration. I’m mad at the traitors, too.
But it wasn’t invaded. Think infiltration. Think compromised / blackmailed politicians, put into positions of influence, doing the bidding of someone else.
Either they did something naughty, or thier family members did. Traitors and puppets are being dealt with; or soon will be. Americans need to be brought to the economic precipice to understand how bad the globalists are.
The enemies of America *want* a civil war. Remember that.
Now is *not* the time for violence; especially if that frustration or anger is directed at the wrong target.
Keep your powder dry and your chin up. It will get worse so plan accordingly. Traitors will be exposed.
Peace is the prize.
Adolf Hitler was the last one to try and stop the globalists if the western world had got behind him it would have worked , to late now the communists are deeply entrenched and in control, you can see it with the vaxxine mandates, millions being maimed and killed but no talk of stopping vaxxinations
“Adolf Hitler was the last one to try and stop the globalists.”
Hitler was bankrolled by the globalists of the day. In the US Ford and Bush(amongst many others) spend fortunes capitalizing German industry and its military.
Your comment is grossly erroneous. Hitler would likely be for globalism, and one world governance, with the caveat that Germany is at the top running it all.
Are you out of your ever lovin mind?
Maybe they did something “naughty”. Or maybe they’re just working for bribes. Or maybe they are actually ideologically aligned with our enemies. Or maybe their lives or families are being threatened.
It’s crazy- half of us feel like we’re in the final stretch of a game and we don’t even know who the contestants are, nor if it’s The Hunger Games or High Stakes Poker. The other half are saying “Game? What game?”
I know one thing: Women, Blacks and Transgendered People have not gained enough power to take over World Governments, crash economies, stop powerful industries like energy on a dime. They can gloat all they want, but none of this is about them.
It never was. These ‘minorities’ are just a pathway. Tools to be used and then discarded. Actually, if the globalists take over, I expect that these would be the first to go.
And as such is the Achilles heal of a republic. Electing thieves and horse traders as representatives, hoping they have your interests at heart. What fantasy world does that work in? It’s a doomed concept and is what got us here.
No the problem has been voters not keeping eyes, fingers, and voices on representatives. 2nd the D.C. monsters …wrangling your representatives, via $$$ for elections, or primary threats to keep in step with party leadership and bloated lobbyist.
They desire a civil war based on their pride and arrogance, which blinds them to the cost/benefit for them. If one occurs, it will be on a scale they failed to anticipate. It will make Robespierre look like Mr Rogers.
They think we will fight one another while they remain above the fray. They don’t realize, they will be the target.
can’t wait for them to be the target
If *they* are the target the correct term would be a Revolution. That is why the ENEmedia keeps hinting about a civil war instead. Their only hope to avoid “hanging by nooses” is to *misdirect* the coming righteous anger.
It is frustrating. It sometimes feels like shadow boxing a ghost. But that’s how they want it to come across. They want us to feel like there’s no hope and we are all alone. That’s wearing off tho as more people feel hurt. It should kick in to high gear next several months.

The Chinese ARE Playing ALL of us in the World as They Leverage NUMEROUS COUNTRIES by Debt Load for Their Natural Resources.
WE, the U.S. Corporations, GAVE ALL the Trade Secrets to China by shipping the PRODUCTION and Now MOST of the R&D for everything from Textiles to Metallurgy. That’s been the plan all along. This is foretold by John in Revelations. We war against principalities of darkness.
All in all, just another bric in the wall.
I’m not going to bother to read this article again, but I might have understood it the first time if BRIC had actually been defined. Late in the article, near the end, some opinions are expressed what kind of people are in it: nice people who love children and puppies.
If you would merely highlight the misunderstood term you can then search it in a new tab and then come back to the article with an understanding. Glad I could help.
Does NATO need to be defined in every article you read, too? How about U.S.?
Maybe you take some responsibility for yourself, your education, and those common, every-day terms that are used in discussions of these topics at hand.
BRIC(S) has been around for two decades now, and is familiar to literally anyone who follows any kind of foreign economic news at all.
To assist you, however, here’s a nice summary for your perusal:
https://infogalactic.com/info/BRICS
“Personally, I believe this outcome is what the west intended. The people inside the World Economic Forum are not stupid – ideological, yes, but not stupid.”
I disagree with Sundance’s premise; the vast majority of the WEF members are academics and policy wonks who’ve never set foot the private sector.
They may not be “stupid” per se, but I think they’re so insulated from the real world and consequences that they probably do think that all it takes to switch off fossil fuels is set up a couple solar panels and windmills.
The truly scary thing about these ignoramuses could be that they actually believe their plans were going to work exactly as advertised without a single complication… because magic thinking will just make it happen.
You’re right. They aren’t stupid. This is by design. These are Fabian Socialists, a group operating mostly in the shadows the past century and a half, who have almost accomplished what they set out to do. The only thing now standing in the way of their success is 400 million guns, most of them in our hands. We should never … NEVER … relinquish them. And if they try to take them away from us, we should bring them out and use them as the Founders of this country intended.
Also it’s the same people who believe the earth and all life in it simply self-invented, including emotion and valuation.
When you believe that lie, and you’re powerful, you’re doomed to destroy something.
Agree. It’s one thing to have guns, it’s another to be willing to use them. There will come a time, when people will have to cross this river. I want to live a long healthy life, enjoying my family, but “life” is not existing under oppression. Not because I’m such an upstanding person, but because I’ve given my life to Christ, “death” is just a shadow. I think about my father’s generation that defeated Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, and I cannot in good conscious disrespect their sacrifices for our nation. Everyone wants freedom, but how many are willing to fight for it? My Heavenly Father tells me that I’m to fear only Him and that because of Christ, I’m His child. Not a beggar!
I agree. It rankles me when people complain how tough it is for them to buck up and resist tyranny. As if it was ever a walk in the park for the rest of us?
“Nobody knows the troubles I’ve seen..” Puh-leez.
Courage and sacrifice is no doubt required to best the deep state Luciferians. The reward, however, is eternal salvation and everlasting life.
For me, it’s a no brainer.
If the government comes for your guns, it is your legal responsibility to hand them over. They will also want your ammo, which I would recommend handing over a round at a time, and you should do so by the quickest available method. Obviously this would be to fire them, problem solved.
once they have got rid of the 7 billion useless eaters it will work fine after the 10 year stint of vaxxinations
their numbers are looking good welcome to the NWO
If they truly believed their tripe, they wouldn’t be buying coastal land and installing oil-product tanks for fuel. just sayin….
Of course they don’t believe all that tripe, just more tools to keep the sheep headed in the right direction.
Most of them are not capable of or willing to do math. Not a one has done the calculations on how many EV cars can be built and then charged with the current mines, production facilities, and grid. That one bit of knowledge would tell them all it’s not possible with current technology. So-either they’re stupid for not knowing that, or they’re evil because they plan on getting rid of the extraneous people they can’t provide services to. They don’t live in the real world, they prefer their fantasy version.
That’s because the endgame was never about saving the environment. That’s the part that people don’t understand. Like a wolf in sheeps clothing, this is about totalitarian rule hidden under a green cloak.
A spoonful of green algae cakes makes the poison go down.
“The truly scary thing about these ignoramuses could be that they actually believe their plans were going to work exactly as advertised without a single complication… because magic thinking will just make it happen.”
AKA – The Liberal World Order
FILTHY LIBERALS. It’s too bad it took bad criminals to take down US/Canadian, and other western Scum Deep State Criminals. North Americans and former free people are being destroyed by their evil Oligarchs. God fearing hard men will wreak havoc on these betas when Anarchy, not civil war ignites. No Quarter
“LEFTISTS” not liberals

It’s a real s***storm. We need some powerful entity/bloc to stand up to the Western marxist totalitarians in Europe and the USA but Eastern totalitarians are just a slightly different flavor of the same s***pie.
“A plague on both their houses!”
We had one.
Go “LONG” Unicorn Farts!
And why shouldn’t oil producing nations like Saudi Arabia ally with their customers? I would.
Yup – Globe is going global… Bidenmamalosi is knocking America down to the basement and now we America won’t even have much of a role in the global world, anyway. I told you we wouldn’t even make it to the 22 election.
First off, thank you, Sundance. This subject is paramount.
As most of us know, BRICS is an acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
Why would Brazil join the other nations? That picture of President Bolsonaro collectively holding hands with Putin, Xi, Ramaphosa, and Modi is quite puzzling, kind of like that picture of Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin at Yalta. Weird.
Anyone watch Tucker this past week? Bolsonaro is a nationalist, right wing, populist who is against the (communist) internationalist global order. So why would he stand and agree with such leaders that are his political opposites? That’s a head scratcher.
Communism never died. The communists (as Lenin said) use socialism as a means to achieve communism. After the Berlin Wall fell on November 9th 1989, and the so-called “fall of the Soviet Union” on Christmas Day 1991, Americans thought they won the Cold War.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Less than 20 year later, America elected a Marxist as President in 2008, and Obama and his crew are pulling Biden’s strings today.
A book called “The Perestroika Deception,” the world’s slide toward THE “SECOND OCTOBER REVOLUTION” written by Anotoliy Golitsyn describes how western nations were fooled into believing that communist ideology went the way of the dinosaurs.
Speaking of dinosaurs, BRICS has a big problem. Putin wants to back the new money with old gold. It’s an old, romantic idea at best. I used to be a gold bug myself and a proponent of the gold standard until I asked myself a few questions.
When’s the last time I ever purchased anything with gold? Answer: Never. What is the value of all the gold in the world? Answer: About $9 trillion. Can a world economy with unlimited growth of humans that naturally procreate and work to produce goods and services sustain a monetary system that is backed by a finite resource? Answer: No. Gold is finite.
Gold is not infinite. Gold is very limited, there’s only so much to go around. Human procreation, productivity and consumption of goods and services is infinite in a free capitalist society – so long as the means of production are not inhibited by the state (think communism).
The US Dollar (petrodollar) is still backed by oil – an infinite resource. The Peak Oil theory got demolished 20 years ago. America alone has more oil and natural gas than any country in the world.
The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia knows his bread is buttered by oil. And why the “Crown” in front of his name? Is he backed by England? I digress…
Money today is mostly digital. The United States created the world’s first digital currency about 72 years ago. It was called “Diners Club.” It was essentially the world’s first credit card.
We all pay our utilities, car payments, and mortgage payments with digital money – 0’s and 1’s, which is infinite. Virtually nobody pays a bill today with cash. I never paid my mortgage with cash, never paid my cell phone bill with cash, never paid my water bill with cash, never paid my electric bill with cash, and never paid my gas bill with cash. I pay for groceries and gasoline with cash, and that’s about it. Everything else is paid for with digital money online.
If the BRICS countries want to hitch their new monetary wagon to a finite, limited resource, so be it. Their economies will be constrained and limited to a resource that is scarce as gold.
Perhaps what our government is doing today with the Green New Deal is nothing but a giant head fake to make our enemies go stupid?
We can only hope and think positive.
God Bless America!
Interesting – got to re-read and digest before I can give a thumbs up.
It ( the comment above you reference) is a brief and very incomplete view of economics. There is some economic thought that inflation is not valuable, and gold, as discipline to a monetary system protects that system from the very abuse we are witnessing.
No web comment can adequately address this.
A couple of holes in you theory, but I mean no offense. Oil is not finite in the sense that it is still being created in the earth and until we quantify the rate of production we cannot know its peak. Ditto for gold…
Oil is not just dead dinos and trees, that is only one type of oil. Our reserves are not as finite as we’ve been taught in our stupid schools.
It is true that we have several hundred years of fossil fuels available.
In Steve Forbes latest book, Inflation, he explains that it is not necessary to back up all US currency with gold, but rather to link the currency to the price of gold. This would work in much the same way as currencies which are linked to the dollar. For two hundred years, the US dollar was stable and we became the wealthiest country in the world. In the last fifty years, the Federal Reserve has manipulated the currency, with predictable results. If pegged to gold, the dollar would have a fixed value and can fulfill it’s intended function as a trusted unit of worth.
“Bolsonaro collectively holding hands with Putin, Xi, Ramaphosa, and Modi is quite puzzling” I suppose that’s puzzling in the context of Bolsonoro’s recent support of the US, but that was under Trump. Forgeting about all his other faults, Biden is weak, making the US is weak. Who in his right mind would align with Biden?
Exactly. Do not forget how strongly Modi stood with Trump. (China was done)
“We all pay our utilities, car payments, and mortgage payments with digital money – 0’s and 1’s, which is infinite. Virtually nobody pays a bill today with cash.”
We could have the convenience of digital transactions whether money is backed by gold or fiat. That is, you wouldn’t have to pay the water bill in cash if we switched to a gold currency. Banks could continue to have a digital record of who has money with them. And you could still use the Internet, via a secure on-line account of course, to do banking.
As for less money in the economy? Well, how I see it as that fake money would be removed while the real money would stay behind. We might disagree, though.
I am in the credit card processing business and have quite a few businesses
that take credit cards only – no cash.
Their employees are told to tell customers that it is to protect the employees.
I laugh! Every one of these businesses take credit cards only as a means
to prevent employee theft of cash – and many of them can’t give back change
correctly either. It also costs a lot of money in time to count it all and take
it to the bank.
So, there are sound business reasons for credit card only. Just an FYI
A few thought to think about that are interesting anyway… There probably is more gold than what the common consensus thinks (why believe anything our media tells us). Gold and other minerals can be detected from airplanes and quantified– it could stay in the ground? Anyway, just use something like bitcoin backed with gold and you solve the problem about spending with ease of a crypo. I think it was Hamilton that argued for a Central Bank or Fed like system to pay for wars. The key is to stay out of war so your country is not bankrupted.
.
If Putin is cleaning up the bio labs and the US corruption in Ukraine and Brazil is a member of BRICS, maybe they are the “good” guys and the WEF bunch of nations are the “Bad” guys?
> BRICS is an acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
> Why would Brazil join the other nations? Bolsonaro is a nationalist, right wing, populist who is against the (communist) internationalist global order.
> America elected a Marxist as President in 2008, and Obama and his crew are pulling Biden’s strings today.
You’ve got all the pieces there. You put them in the correct order. You’ve answered your own question.
The rest of your post is wrong, dead wrong, and completely wrong.
>When’s the last time I ever purchased anything with gold?
Completely irrelevant.
> What is the value of all the gold in the world?
Depends on the peg and the exchange rate.
> Can a world economy with unlimited growth of humans that naturally procreate and work to produce goods and services sustain a monetary system that is backed by a finite resource?
Yes, and quite easily. In fact, the monetary system is REQUIRED to be finite, and that’s exactly where we’re having the issue now. A SCARCE money is a VALUABLE money.
> We all pay our utilities, car payments, and mortgage payments with digital money – 0’s and 1’s, which is infinite.
Correct, and hence worthless. Hence, inflation, debt slavery, the exportation of the West’s infrastructure and manufacturing, and most of the rest of our issues.
> Perhaps what our government is doing today with the Green New Deal is nothing but a giant head fake to make our enemies go stupid?
No, it’s the inevitable result of stupid people buying and using the drugs they are selling to everyone else.
> We can only hope and think positive.
Good luck with that. Shit in the other hand, and see which fills up first, and which is available to eat when you’re hungry.
If our country ever decides to come to its senses and get rid of all the mental midgets now running the show, we might actually regain some of our lost greatness. Especially if our huge oil, gas and coal reserves are used in an intelligent and policy seeking way.
That is the only way. Trump knew it, that’s why he had to be taken out.
“Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030”
Is that not the same time line as buildbackbetter?
Danger Will Robinson, Danger.
Question. Is there a place to even trade Petrodollars? The Eurodollar is a thing, and you can trade those. So, if you can’t trade a ‘petrodollar,’ does it even exist? How do we know the Petrodollar is even real, and not just tied into something else, like the Eurodollar? It just seems weird to me that we talk about the Petrodollar so much, yet I’ve never seen anyone talk about its’ trade value.
You’ve been using it since the day you were born.
The current exchange rate for your petrodollar is about $110 for a barrel of WTI oil. What if the Saudis, Kuwaitis, UAE and the rest decide they no longer want to accept dollars in exchange for their product?
No more petrodollar.
all countries must purchase oil with the dollar (petrodollar), once petrodollar gone, use your dollars to wipe your butt… toilet paper will be worth more….
Biden doesn’t have to reverse anything. This is exactly what he wanted.
He know his liberal base is stupid enough to support him no matter what.
As much as people love to rip corporate America, you gotta’ give them credit. (Pun intended)
I hate the Washington Post as much as anyone here, but I must admit that Amazon is an amazing company. Anything I want or need is a couple clicks away, for a fair price, and free delivery to my door step in a day or two. It’s an excellent business model, it’s convenient, fun to shop while looking at literally thousands of products, offers more variety than any box store, and has a no hassle return policy if you don’t like the product. Mr. Bezos provides a great service.
Amazon was built on digital money. Zero’s and one’s. ALL of their business is conducted with “money” that is floating in the ether. Not a single physical dollar ever paid for anything. Quite amazing, isn’t it?
On a side note, America has given Ukraine over $60 billion since the war started. How was that money transferred? A couple of key strokes, or pallets full of cash? Likely a couple of key strokes. Obama’s way of transferring physical cash by the pallet didn’t work out so well….
It’s all zero’s and one’s. Digital “money” created out of thin air. Money is what people think it is.
A lot of people made millions off of cryptocurrencies not because they thought it had intrinsic value, but because they knew they could make money out of it. After people made a fortune on Bitcoin, what did they do?
They cashed it in for US Dollars.
I don’t know what you consider a fair price but I have been with Amazon for years… over the last 1 1/2 yrs I am noticing that Amazon is higher in price at about the rate of 10 dollars per 50… I spend much less by using alternative business’s.
They add the shipping cost to the price of the item. People seem to think they can get free shipping with Amazon. Trust me, they’re paying for the shipping in the price of the item.
Amazon’s fair price includes:
In-stock when I want it.
Delivered to my door when I want it.
Excellent customer service with money-back guarantees.
Information about the products I’m interested in purchasing.
NONE of these things are available at any local store I’ve tried to shop at for at least the last 10 years, if not more. You can’t call and get information on the product, or go to the store and get info on the product, because not a single staff person knows anything about it if they can even find it, and if you are on the phone you’ll be transferred back and forth between phones and departments without resolution until you give up, or you buy it on Amazon.
I’d pay DOUBLE to buy the damn thing on Amazon, because I can actually get it on Amazon. A lower price elsewhere when they don’t have it, can’t find it, can’t order it, can’t support it, only have it broken, etc, isn’t a product at that price.
Do you get a bonus at the end of the year for your visiting various sites?
I’m not a shill, pendejo. I’ve been a regular treeper far longer than damn near anyone else in this comments section, including writing some stuff for the Tree House.
Use the search function on the right and search for “First Principles.”
Then come back and apologize.
I have rental/airbnb properties and am constantly purchasing items..by far Amazon is the best..ex..kitchen faucets ..I bought three last week, one 45$, one 65$ next day free delivery..my housekeeper went to Lowes..98$ for the cheapest one.
Well friend you might love it but it is not free. You pay every year for the free delivery,it is called Prime ,and those returns are paid for by the higher prices on the stuff you buy
And why support a One World Government Yahoo.
I love Amazon for the same reasons. Won’t give it up.
And there are many businesses who only use Amazon for ordering.
If you go to their website you are directed to Amazon anyway.
I won’t shop at Target, Walmart and the like – but won’t give
up Amazon. Saves on impulse purchasing too which seems to happen
to me often when cruising down store aisles. Just purchase what
you need; often times with same day and next day delivery.
The Saudis are also in negotiations to join the Big Ten, like everyone else these days.
lol
They’re all in better shape than the United States. Because they don’t have Joe Biden as their leader.
I don’t believe Americans as a whole are morally, physically, or psychologically equipped to live in a country that can’t “print” money.
The US is very fragile, and survives based almost entirely on a shared prosperity and massive amounts of government transfers.
We have no shared religion, race, ethnicity, history, language, etc. Countries like that don’t have good outcomes if money isn’t abundant.
Americans are strong and can live through anything. We share the spirit of our founding fathers and every American who has lived and died here..
God bless America.
Depends on your definition of an “ American”.
That used to be the case, but the leftist “Progressives” have been busily importing people who do NOT have the emotional tie-in to our Founding Fathers or identity with our early history. Many are coming from cultures that have very different values WRT property rights or work ethic or even tolerance. Many don’t even share our value for individual freedom but are just here for individual profit – ie. welfare checks.
No offense, but you sound like my Marxist English Literature professor from 20 years ago.
Every country “prints” money today because there’s not enough gold to make the world go ’round.
Money is abundant, but a buck is still hard to come by.
Main Street economy would probably do OK with a gold backed currency. Wall Street and K Street, I’m not so sure.
I think that you are right that the WEF and transnational corporations foresaw the cleaving, but I think that they mis-judged how quickly and cohesively it would happen among the BRICS alliance and those who would join it. I’m guessing of course, but I wonder if they planned to weaken the monetary system and international trade of Russia with their sanctions and as a result weaken the stability of the BRICS alliance, an attempt to bring those countries back into line with the Liberal World Order.
The news keeps getting better and better, doesn’t it? NOT. Even with a massive win in Nov in both houses, how can this country ever undo the damage being done?
The answer to that question is straightforward, because it’s already been done.
Trump began complaining in the 90’s that American manufacturing was being moved offshore. He realized that the US was moving from production based wealth to equity (fiat) based wealth. When he became President, he immediately created incentives to repatriate American jobs and disincentivize moving manufacturing out of the US. He also removed all the obstacles to energy production, and the US became energy independent again. Those two policies rapidly restored the US economy.
We have more energy resources than any other country in the world. We also still have a technology edge over the rest of the world, although we’re losing it rapidly. Our domestic economy is large enough that we can bootstrap economic prosperity domestically. We haven’t lost the capability to do that. It’s been quashed by our own government
It can be done again.
PT was right………
Energy and especially oil is both economic and national security.
Unfortunately the idiots in DC think big windmills provide economic & national security.
How do the USA, UK, and Germany expect to make anything without fossil fuels and having moved most of their manufacturing capacity to China? It looks more and more like these countries are committing economic suicide. Sorry to say. Things are going to get very bad in the USA if this is not reversed.
As Obama said-trust joe to “F–k” it up
From his stand point, the only F-K up that Joe has done is expose himself as an idiot. Everything he’s done marches with the narrative, however, so he’s a success to the overall plan.
We can fix this. Under President Tump the US was the largest producer exporter of both oil and natural gas. Simply re-open our oil and gas facilities that the Marxist regime has closed down and we will be 100% immune from the rest of the worlds financial plans.
Screw the petrodollar, we will be able to command payment in US dollars for far more exported oil than imported oil. While we are at it, let’s use our massive corn and other crops as well as meat products to leverage our situation.
We obviously need President Trump back in the office that he won in a landslide in 2020. We need to round up the Marxists who stole that selection and try them for sedition and treason. God Bless America.
Not with Bill Gates going around buying up millions of acres of prime farmland that he can let go fallow.
I said several years ago, a scenario such as this would eventually happen. I had no clue it would be this soon. Eventually societies grow weary of these bankers, exploiting them with such hubris. A great example of this is these globalist, making devastating demands at the conclusion of WWI. This laid the groundwork for WWII. When Germany began printing their own money, in addition to Hitler playing on the resentments of the German people, war was a certainty. Eventually this will lead to war. How soon? Don’t know. But most wars are fought over economics imo. Of course wars of conquest, ultimately have an economic motive. Over 60million died in WWII and the bankers laughed all the way.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the bankers for once got holding the bag?
Maybe they did?
Does this mean Gropin’ Joe isn’t going to get invited to do the Sword Dance?
Gateway Pundit quotes an excerpt of Sundance’s post.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/07/biden-factor-saudi-arabia-discussions-join-brics-coalition-china-russia-move-away-us-potentially-explosive-consequences/
MbS loved our president Trump! Remember all of the pomp and circumstance when he went over there? Had him march in and was doing a dance on the way in? Hilarious! He had so much fun!
I pray that MbS is getting back at Joe but good for stealing the election from his friend!
Does anybody remember the globe they all were looking at,with President Trump. Well I think what they all were seeing is what is now happening.
The most grotesque part of this is we could have been allies with BRICS. And MbS showed every inclination to be a partner, with us and Israel.
Biden’s hostile infantile psychopathic handlers are bent on worldwide destruction. They have willfully shut their eyes and their minds to the chaos.
They’re fine with the end of the world for their insane agenda, because hilariously they think they’ll escape it.
I pray G-d visits them and shows them the truth very soon.
perhaps we will be allies with BRICS when President Trump regains office
The result will be removing the last “asset” underpinning middle class wealth. We have outsourced our industry, shut down most mineral mining, shut down our reliable energy resources, neglected our oil refining capacity, destroyed the education system resulting in the vast majority of college degreed individuals being functionally illiterate and useless as competent employees. Destroyed small family business, monopolized agriculture into corporate farming, destroying the cattle ranching, and created massive unemployment, worse, created a vast unemployable, uneducated, lazy, indolent and unstable mob of people who feel they are owed something and become violent. The military has been purged of competent officers, and unlikely to be combat ready, for anything besides a domestic suppression force. Our borders are open with tens of millions of illiterate foreigners depending on government funded NGOs to import, house and feed them.
The last “asset” was using the US Dollar as debt leverage on a global scale, and once it is abandoned for cause of lack of any faith in the credit or solvency of the US, it will be worthless. Not sure how this helps the banks. We people are screwed. If half or more of the globe moves onto a functioning and logical manner to conduct trade and measure wealth based on real assets, how does global governance by the US work out?
Time to make clear to Saudi Arabia, that the remainder of our 10 year 300 billion dollar weapons deal, will be canceled immediately if they join BRIC.
I would kindly let them know that they won’t get so much as a replacement gas cap for an F-16, or a single .556 cartridge for an M5.
You go right ahead and tell MBS that, we are not the only ones to make war toys.
It is logical for the Saudis to turn their back on the US since the US under Biden has attacked the leader of Saudi Arabia claiming he is a murderer of a journalist and is pursuing fanatical “Green Policies” which would gut the Saudi economy. Saudi Arabia had a good relationship with America under Trump but Biden is driving them into the hands of the Chinese just as Obama and Clinton drove Russia into the hands of China with their tariffs and endless attacks.
Foreign leaders are not idiots. If the US attacks them publicly and in person, if a bad ally who refuses to sell them weapons they think they need (Saudi Arabia is threatened by Iranian controlled forces in Yemen and Syria), and want to adopt policies vilifying the primary industry the foreign nation depends on to survive, of course they will seek other allies. China is playing on the willingness of Democrats – whether Obama/Clinton/Kerry or Biden – to attack allies in order to score virtue points.
If the dollar is no longer the reserve currency what happens to our 401Ks and IRAs?
It’s always been about crushing the US dollar reserve system.
Not about Ukraine, not about inflation, not about jobs etc.
Taking away the dollar as a reserve currency is what evens the playing field.
And Russia chose to be the country to lead the way.
The Saudis are already taking other than dollars for oil.
Be smart. Start studying what happens when a currency loses it status as a reserve currency.
It could be here before you know it.
At this point, I am. giving the conspiracy theory that Trump, Putin and Xhi are bringing down the Deep State some real consideration. Saudi Arabia gave Trump the sword dance which has never been done for a Western leader. The belief was they did it for Trump and the White Hats saving Bin Salmans bacon during the Las Vegas shootings in 2017.
It looks to me that the circle is tightening around the G7, NATO, the central banks and the Evil corporations you speak of. Putin is capturing and closing off the biolabs in Ukraine, Cryptos re being taken down with all of their criminal money moving going on, food and energy are being intentionally shut down and the jab is still being forced down our throat.
Everything Sundance describes is factually correct but I believe all these evil machinations have to be tied together to make sense of it all. W’ell see!
I flew in Saudi as and AF pilot. They essentially backed the dollar with their oil, because in the day we had some integrity.
Clinton, Bush II and Obama nearly sunk us, the last two started wars all across the Middle East. With the advent of electronic voting machines, the Communist/Globalists inserted awful people into our system. The Saudi’s are too smart to cooperate with these degenerate Western charlatans who have inserted themselves into power.
We citizens face only two choices. You know what they are. We cannot vote our way out of the matrix. They control the machines. November mid-terms will enlighten everyone — live free or die.
To what end? Seems unnecessarily self destructive. Is the west really that ideologically blind? Do we have a climate war after this cleaving to prevent their dirty industrialization? Crazy. Shortsighted. Hypocritical.
The rise of BRICS+ may be a Good Thing if it becomes the shock wave that destroys the suicidal ‘green energy’ cult of the Western nations. There is no way that a wind-powered economy can compete with a hydrocarbon one.
nations using both financial systems seems to me to be the initial outcome
Given the now 78-year postwar interval from Bretton Woods (1944), few people –most particularly not revolving-door credentialists of all dirigiste Big Gummint persuasions– pose the obvious question: Over three 24-year generations, what has global U..S. fiscal autarchy via the dollar as “reserve currency” accomplished both domestically and overseas?
As Mises and von Hyek amply demonstrate, and Le Grande Charles de Gaulle well-understood, Bretton Woods’ epochal power-grab carried with it the seeds of America’s socio-economic/political destruction. Whatever status-hungry gentry rentiers’ self-serving rationale, writing blank checks covering “national security” (LBJ’s “Great Society” piggybacking Vietnam) escalated deficits demolishing Congress’s electorally accountable “power of the purse”. [We served in Southeast Asia, by the way.]
As the Founders’ non-enumerated Fourth Branch admin/regulatory apparat allied with Deep State police-surveillance organs (think October 1963), voters’ choices devolved to meritless “diversity” deadheads (think Barack Hussein Soetoro, born a U.S. citizen in Kenya who remains a certifiable Muslim citizen of Indonesia to this day). As Trump once said of his multi-tens of $billion “intelligence” inputs, “You’ve seen one dimestore comic book, you’ve seen ’em all.”
Not that Smokin’ Joe and his bizarre-o “handlers” have the slightest regard for sworn fiduciary duties…. we guarantee that “honors graduate” Occasional Cortex, who quotes loud-mouthed popcult dolts with awe, could no more identify Hamilton, Madison, and Jay than peddle a bicycle over the Potomac. Nonetheless, we consider the looming end of America’s ill-gotten fiscal hegemony an unadulterated positive. The more Reality bites, the better things will be.
Hurrah BRICS +! It is a way to demolish DC UniParty Globalists. Screw ‘em.
