For those who think the conflict is not being orchestrated by the Obama-Biden administration, consider this. European countries and our NATO allies are not as worried about Russia entering Ukraine.
The people closest to the situation including France and Germany, are not asking for the U.S. to get involved. Indeed, you can make the argument based on their public statements, that European NATO countries are not that concerned. Even Chuck Todd (NBC) sees this.
It is the Obama-Biden foreign policy team that is creating anxiety over the potential for Russia to enter Ukraine, not our NATO allies. If we end up in a conflict in Ukraine, it will be because the professional political class in Washington DC want us to be in a conflict in Ukraine, not the American people.

Retired Navy here and although I can see your point of view I disagree. You and I both know how great this country was before the globalist elites decided they knew best. We love the country because of the prevailing sense of freedom – to choose what you want to do, how you want to live, who you love, and all the other freedoms we enjoy. The USA didn’t turn bad – bad people hijacked our schools, our government, our entertainment, our sports and even our churches. I for one still love this country because I’ve seen too many s**thole countries to not know that even with all the garbage we still have more freedom than most of the world. That’s why I will not stop fighting these sorry ba$tards until the day I die. I want my grandchildren to have what my USMC father faught for in WWII, and what I will now fight for – even here if need be. If we give up on this country then they win and we can’t let that happen, we have to think of the next and subsequent generations. As Ronald Reagan said “freedom is only one generation away from being lost.”

I think the real question that is emerging is what will Ukraine do if the Russians cross the border. Ukraine already has experience with Russians crossing its borders. The Russians “took” Crimea with an outright invasion and also infiltrated mercenaries into Ukraine to create a border conflict that still continues. The smart money is on a quick and easy Russian win. But, what if it isn’t so easy. Today at the bookstore I read an interesting article in the current issue of the Economist. The magazine pointed out that, in addition to its standing military of 145,000 the country also has 300,000 Ukrainians with military training. In addition the private ownership of firearms is a common fact of everyday life in Ukraine. Further, the article reported, the CIA is predicting a popular insurrection against Russian control.
So the big question is this: What happens if the Ukrainians decide to fight? I know what Americans would do in similar circumstances. We would certainly resist an invasion—and by this I mean not only by organized military but by armed private citizens, especially those with military training. If this were Israel we’d immediately know the answer. But, is Ukraine like Israel? Will the Ukrainian people organize themselves and resist as strongly as Israel would? Time and history will provide that answer. Whatever happens, for the sake of their county, for the sake of their freedom and liberty, I wish them well. In my at-at-distance view, the Ukrainians have the ability to resist tyranny. Let’s hope they succeed.
