Chaff and Countermeasures – Senator Graham Asks AG Bill Barr for “Spygate” and “FISA” Witnesses…

Anyone who has followed DC for a while could see this one coming a mile away… including the synergy of self-interested timing.  Catherine Herridge of CBS reports on a ‘tick-tock’ letter from Senator Lindsey Graham to AG Bill Barr where Graham announces his request for witnesses.   The Graham list is an assembly of various DOJ/FBI officials who participated in Crossfire Hurricane and the fraudulent FISA application(s).

The timing of the letter, alluding to some possible hearing at some possible later date, follows a DC pattern. [Chaff and Countermeasures] In essence, cover for visible inaction; an attempt to convince people to put down the pitchforks.

A “Countermeasure” is a measure or action taken to counter or offset a preceding one.

Politically speaking, the deployment of countermeasures is a tactic used by professional politicians in Washington DC to counter incoming public inquiry and protect themselves from anger expressed by the electorate.

Weaponized government takes action and creates victims. Beyond the strategy – the countermeasures are politicians assigned a role to control the incoming righteous inquiry from voters who find out about the weaponized or corrupt governmental action.

1.) The electorate become aware of a political issue or action; often illegal.

2.) The electorate become angry.

3.) DC needs to protect itself.

4.) Countermeasures are assigned and deployed to delay, obfuscate and create the illusion of investigation of the illegal governmental action.

5.) Electorate watch.

6.) Investigation goes nowhere.

7.) Countermeasure deployment successful.

In away we have all been set free, since we are likely to only see more speeches, interviews and Lies.

Now, President Trump is free to declassify and release all of the documents requested by Sundance and more, since the information will never be used by our own government properly.

Barr’s own corrupt actions have set us free. Mr. President, I don’t see that you have reason to delay any more in releasing the documents? At-least expose the truth to light .

The complicating factor related to declassification is: race.

Earlier today I read an article, or a comment, but I can’t remember where I read it, so I can’t give credit where it is due. If you said this, then please, take credit for it!

The more that is revealed, the harder it is to escape the fact that Obama was either deeply and directly involved, or so aloof as to be inconsequential to the operation of large parts of the Executive Branch.

Either way, it looks bad for Obama. AND, if he is implicated, or it is implied that he was involved, then PDJT could LOSE a lot of the Black support he has been working so hard to develop. It’s one thing to say to Black voters, “what do you have to lose!?” when the competition is old white men and women, but it is another thing altogether to blame the first Black president for what went down.

Not saying Obama shouldn’t be blamed and prosecuted if that is what the evidence shows, but remember, nothing happens in a vacuum. You could implicate Obama, and then lose all the good-will and effects of the outreach to the Black community over the past 36 months.

Like I said, I didn’t think of this aspect of the timing question (race), and I wish I could give credit to the person who said it, but it is a very valid point.

I agree wholeheartedly, except I have not given up hope that Durham will issue real indictments.

I have always supported immediate, full declassification despite the argument about possible prejudice to future prosecutions. The public has a RIGHT to KNOW what these “public employees” did using the techniques, tools and instrumentalities of OUR government. This public interest OVERWHELMS the usual secrecy that might surround evidence to be used in a criminal matter.

Let’s have Sunlight for Sundance and all of us. I predict that the probability of successful major prosecutions would INCREASE with complete declassification. Sundance and others would make connections and other discoveries that Durham’s team will miss.

Long time before the election. Trump needs the swamp to run against it, to motivate the base. That’s what his rallies are all about. Second term is where the shit will hit the fan. Lame duck president won’t care about getting re-elected. Time will tell. Great interview by Barr deflecting the hit piece in the Times, changed the narrative from “Barr and Trump abusing power by lightening sentences” to “Barr is our hero today because he criticized Trump.” TDS.

I am going to say this as gently and clearly as I can.

There is no one coming to “save the republic”. There aren’t going to be sweeping indictments that jail mass amounts of people. There aren’t going to be people who vanish and reappear on trail at GITMO or some other undisclosed loctation in a military tribunal. That is all wishful thinking.

The ONLY thing that can save the republic is WE THE PEOPLE, as a whole, united in purpose, ready to rebuild what has been systematically destroyed. Even then I’m not sure “save” is the right word. Perhaps rebuild is the word I want since several of the institutions should be razed, some never to be raised again.

People resigning, nominations being pulled, outlandish sentencing recommendations with immediate counter moves by others at DOJ. It’s as if the shit is hitting the fan internally. The amount of entrenched bastagees, and the real power that they wield is incredible. As such, we must understand that even an AG who wants to clean house has to do so very, very carefully and methodically. He/she almost has no idea who they can really trust.

Senate Majority Leader McConnell has done some good work for President Trump in confirming judges and on impeachment. But, if McConnell were really interested in truth or justice, he would replace Senator Graham on the Judiciary Committee.

Senator Graham has talked a lot, but he has not held any Judiciary Committee hearings on Spygate, or FISA abuse. He has had zero impact for bringing new information out about these scandals. Compare his performance against Congressman Nunes, who was the HPSCI Chairman. Congressman Nunes is 100x more effective than Senator Graham.

Senator Graham indicated that he would step down as Judiciary Chairman after the election, with Senator Grassley replacing him. If McConnell really wanted to do something useful, why not make this change now?

    You need a 4a and 6a:

4.) Countermeasures are assigned and deployed to delay, obfuscate and create the illusion of investigation of the illegal governmental action.

***4a.) Obfuscation and complexity looses a significant portion of the electorate due to lack of ability, time, or interest to follow.

    6.) Investigation goes nowhere.

***6a.) Additional electorate actually still following the scandals realize the game is 100% rigged, give up and stop paying attention.

    7.) Countermeasure deployment successful.

Barr displeased with Trump tweets, makes job impossible. McCabe was target of Trump tweets; Barr can point to command influence and say “Trump’s tweets did this”. Would understand if it turns out that Barr approved of a decline to prosecute. It would be a brush back of Trump and a two-fer in not having to actually prosecute a high level insider.

And, if it were to be the case and Trump found out and gave Barr an earful, the wolves would be back at impeachment for steering criminal prosecution of a political opponent. I can see Barr signing off on this one, even if he may be ostensibly on Trump’s side. Provides him the perfect positioning as dispassionate justice-seeker.
