Senator Burr: “Senate Impeachment Trial Will Last 6 to 8 weeks”…

It looks like the House impeachment is now a foregone conclusion.  To wit the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) Chairman Richard Burr has announced the schedule outline for the upcoming Senate Impeachment Trial.

The trial of President Trump will run from 12:30pm to 6:30pm Monday through Saturday and will last approximately six to eight weeks:

Generally it appears the SSCI is positioning for a conclusion of a guilty verdict where President Trump will be removed from office and President Mike Pence will select Nikki Haley as his vice-presidential candidate for 2020. [Hence the book and MAGA narrative]

Senate Chairman Richard Burr’s forward-lean into the impeachment process takes us back to something previously outlined when it seemed like this was the preferred direction for the professional political class.

…A branch of the United States government (Legislative) is attempting a coup against the leader of another branch of government (Executive); by using the Senate Intelligence Committee and designated corrupt agents within the executive branch cabinet.

In the first part of our research into the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) we outlined how the committee was engaged in the 2017 effort –with specific evidence of communication– to support Robert Mueller and the ‘soft coup‘ team. [See Here] When you understand what the group was doing in early 2017, you understand why the FBI had to use DOJ official Bruce Ohr as a go-between to contact with Chris Steele.

The problem for Attorney General Bill Barr is not only investigating what we don’t know, but rather navigating through what ‘We The People’ are already aware of…. A branch of the United States government (Legislative) is attempting a coup against the leader of another branch of government (Executive); by using the Senate Intelligence Committee and designated corrupt agents within the executive branch cabinet.

This 2017 and 2018 time period covers Robert Mueller as Special Counsel, Jeff Sessions as AG, Rod Rosenstein as Deputy, Chris Wray as FBI Director, David Bowditch as Deputy and Dana Boente as FBI legal counsel.  I’ll lay out the evidence, you can then determine who was powerful enough to have made these decisions.

As a result of a FOIA release in Mid December 2018, Judicial Watch revealed how the State Department was feeding “classified information” to multiple U.S. Senators on the Senate Intelligence Committee by the Obama administration immediately prior to President Donald Trump’s inauguration:

The documents reveal that among those receiving the classified documents were Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), and Sen. Robert Corker (R-TN).

Judicial Watch obtained the documents through a June 2018 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the State Department after it failed to respond to a February 2018 request seeking records of the Obama State Department’s last-minute efforts to share classified information about Russia election interference issues with Democratic Senator Ben Cardin (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:18-cv-01381)).

The documents reveal the Obama State Department urgently gathering classified Russia investigation information and disseminating it to members of Congress within hours of Donald Trump taking office.  (read more)

The impeachment program was a plan, an insurance policy of sorts; a coordinated effort between corrupt politicians in the Senate and hold-over allies in the executive; however, because she didn’t want to participate in this – Senator Dianne Feinstein abdicated her vice-chair position to Senator Mark Warner.  [Background Here]

This is the pre-cursor to utilizing Robert Mueller.  A plan that was developed soon after the 2016 election.  The appointment of a special counsel was always the way they were going to hand-off and continue the investigation into Trump; but they needed a reason for it.

The continued exploitation of the Steele Dossier was critical; thus they needed Chris Steele to be solid.  And the continued manipulation of the media was also critical; thus they needed Fusion-GPS to continue.  [Dan Jones paid both]

While Mark Warner was communicating with Adam Waldman and Dan Jones as a conduit to Chris Steele, the FBI/DOJ team was communicating through Bruce Ohr to Chris Steele (and by extension to Nellie Ohr and Fusion GPS).

Part of Warner’s role was to weaponize the Legislative branch to advance the ‘Muh Russia conspiracy’, a fundamental necessity if a special counsel was going to have justification.

The SSCI, and the security protocols within it, were structurally part of the plan; hence the rapid information from Obama’s State Dept. to the SSCI and Senate participants in the last moments prior to departing.

♦ On March 17th, 2017, the Senate Intelligence Committee took custody of the FISA application used against Carter Page.   We know the FISA court delivered the read and return Top-Secret Classified application due to the clerk stamp of March 17, 2017.

(Page FISA Application, Link)

The FISA application (original and first renewal) was delivered to Senate Security Director James Wolfe.  Senator Mark Warner entered the basement SCIF shortly after 4:00pm on March 17, 2017, the day it was delivered (texts between Warner and Waldman):

Now, when SSCI Security Officer James Wolfe was indicted (unsealed June ’18), we could see the importance of the March 17th date again:

(Wolfe Indictment Link)

We can tell from the description within the indictment FBI investigators are describing the FISA application.  Additionally Wolfe exchanged 82 text messages with his reporter/girlfriend Ali Watkins.  The FISA application is 83 pages with one blank page.

The logical conclusion was that Wolfe text Ali Watkins 82 pictures of the application.

FBI Investigators applied for, and received a search warrant for the phone records of journalist Ali Watkins.  Ms. Watkins was notified in February 2018, three months after Wolfe was questioned by FBI investigators in December 2017.

However, despite the overwhelming (public) circumstantial evidence that Wolfe leaked the FISA application, he was never charged with leaking classified information.  Wolfe was only charged with lying three times to federal authorities, and he pled down to one count of lying to the FBI.

CTH made the case in mid 2018 that someone at the DOJ had influenced a decision not to charge Wolfe with the leaking of the FISA application; despite the FBI and DOJ having direct evidence of Wolfe leaking classified information.

The logical reason for the DOJ not to charge Wolfe with the FISA leak was because that charge could ensnare a Senator on the powerful committee, likely Mark Warner.

Remember, the SSCI has intelligence oversight of the DOJ, DOJ-NSD, FBI and all associated counterintelligence operations. Additionally, when the FBI was investigating Wolfe for leaking classified documents, according to their court filings they had to inform the committee of the risk Wolfe represented.  Who did they have to inform?.. Chairman Burr and Vice-Chair Warner.

D’oh. Think about it.  A gang-of-eight member (Warner), who happened -as a consequence of the jaw dropping implications- to be one of only two SSCI members who was warned by the FBI that Wolfe was compromised…. and he’s the co-conspirator.  The ramifications cannot be overstated.  Such a criminal charge would be a hot mess.

Thus, the perfect alignment of interests for a dropped charge and DC cover-up.

Then, in an act of serendipity, James Wolfe himself bolstered that suspicion when he threatened to subpoena members of the SSCI as part of his defense. [See Here]

[…] Attorneys for James A. Wolfe sent letters to all 15 senators on the committee, notifying them that their testimony may be sought as part of Mr. Wolfe’s defense, according to two people familiar with the matter.

[…] Mr. Wolfe’s defense lawyers are considering calling the senators as part of the proceedings for a variety of reasons, including as potential character witnesses and to rebut some of the allegations made by the government in the criminal complaint, these people say.  (link)

Immediately after threatening to subpoena the SSCI (July 27, 2018), the DOJ cut a deal with Wolfe and dropped the charges down to a single charge of lying to investigators.  However, someone doing the investigative legwork wasn’t happy with that decision.

Our overwhelming CTH circumstantial evidence that Wolfe leaked the FISA application went from a strong suspicion, to damn certain (after the plea deal) when the DOJ included a sentencing motion in mid-December 2018.

On December 15th, 2018 the DOJ filed a response to the Wolfe defense teams’ own sentencing memo (full pdf), and within the DOJ response they included an exhibit (#13) written by the FBI [redacted] special agent in charge, which specifically says: “because of the known disclosure of classified information, the FISA application”… Thereby admitting, albeit post-plea agreement, that Wolfe did indeed leak the damn FISA:

(link to document)

Right there, in that FBI Special Agent description is the bombshell admission that James Wolfe leaked the Carter Page FISA application to his concubine Ali Watkins at Buzzfeed.

We know the special agent who wrote exhibit #13 in the December filing was Special Agent Brian Dugan, Asst. Special Agent in Charge, Washington Field Office.  The same investigator who originally signed the affidavit in the original indictment.

So with hindsight there was absolutely no doubt that James Wolfe leaked the 83-page Carter Page FISA application on March 17, 2017.  Period.  It’s all documented with circumstantial and direct evidence; including the admissions from the FBI agent in charge.

So, why was James Wolfe allowed to plea to a single count of lying to investigators?

Back to where this started….

A branch of the United States government (Legislative) is attempting a coup against the leader of another branch of government (Executive); by using planted and designated corrupt agents within the cabinet…

Now do you see why I say: the problem for Attorney General Bill Barr is not investigating what we don’t know, but rather navigating through what ‘We The People’ are already aware of….

Then again, if Barr waits a little longer it will all be a moot point.

I always thought if they had known Trump would win that he wouldn’t have. They’d have stuffed every ballot box in the country. I think they instantly set about taking the house – the retirements, the ballot harvesting…they’re all in on it.

Question is Barr – seems like he’s our last defense against this plot to overthrow our government.

I think there should be a way we can protest by not paying our taxes – without ending up in jail that is. I hate funding these corrupt and rich rats.

  3. I believe the only person that can put a halt to this madness is AG Barr by immediately charging Wolfe with illegally leaking classified data as a start, thereby publicly neutering ALL the complicit Senators and putting the fear of God into the rest of Congress. I even think Pelosi would rethink her impeachment goals (or support).

I can’t think of another way PDJT can survive this krap. What say some of you Tree Hangers?

    • Boots says:

Forget it, H&H. Barr’s not coming to the rescue. Cavalry’s not coming to the rescue. No one’s coming to the rescue. Barr is a downfield blocker, running interference for the Democommies. The Senate is to conservative Trump supporters what England and Lord Chamberlain were to Czecho-Slovakia.

And Pelosi is DEFINITELY not going to ‘rethink her impeachment goals’! Why on earth would she!? She’s got the SSCI running POTUS’s execution, so to speak. She’s “this close” to having his balls. And you think she’s gonna give THAT up?

      • okay….pour me another double then…..I’ll drown my sorrows.

I like the idea of a protracted Senate trial. We’d get to finally put our facts out on the table with a full audience and the IG and possibly Durham reports as backup, and we tie up all the miserable leftists trying to run for president, who will have to skip the campaign or forfeit their removal vote. Senators dumb enough to remove this popular and successful president would be finished, as would the Republican party. And I’m not sure removal would disqualify Trump from running again as planned! I’m sure I’m in great company here in saying that I would still vote for him!

Nope. Not going to happen. The deliberations will be done in private.
Look at Senator Burr’s recent comments:
“Until you read our report, you really don’t know what we’re going to say. That’s intentional..”
And so it will be with impeachment.

The uniparty will allow the Democrats to ram impeachment through in a biased, partisan, one-sided manner…
And then give credence to it by slow deliberations behind closed doors that empowers Democrats and never Trump GOPers to remove POTUS.

If they follow through with this scheme then ALL incumbent Republican Senators need to be primaried and voted out of office with prejudice.

I just tried to post a reasonably articullnce’s exquisitely connected dots and firmly believe that most of Congress and the alphabet agencies (Deep State) are corrupt and should be indicted and convicted.
    2) A lot of Treepers believe that the Deep State and corruption is so widespread that no one will be convicted and we will devolve into civil war.
    3) A third path is that PDJT realizes the depth of the corruption and is weighing court proceedings, Congressional impeachment proceedings against martial law or….. Given that more than 67% of Congress is at the open borders, no tariff, Soros, ethanol subsidy trough, I’m guessing we are close to martial law.

If he’s made any mistakes it’s been underestimating the treachery of his own party. He’s been trying to schmooze these people to his side for three years and it’s been a complete waste of time. As this unfolds, you’ll see it all more clearly. As for the media, “fake news” was always too mild an epithet and too ineffective in changing the landscape. All-out war has always been required. Breitbart should have taught us that.

His fate is out of his hands now. It’s in the hands of a Senate who wants him gone, and an attorney general asleep at the switch.

Ok here goes my attempt at an action plan should our President be convicted and evicted.

    1. Nov 3rd 2020 all patriots throw their votes to the most progressive left leaning candidates on the national tickets (Congress Critters and Senators included) while voting as extremely conservative in every state and local election on the the ballot.
    2. Nov 4th 2020 initiate every available means in conservative (red) states for proceeding forward with divorce from the Federal Gov’t. Petitions, and state and house efforts. In liberal states with conservative rural areas this may proceed to county levels. Secession at all cost and means.
    3. Nov 5th 2020 initiate civilian and militia armed action with in every conservative (red) state to block and prevent any export of any resource (agricultural and mineral) from land within the boundary of the states (except to neighboring conservative states as need to feed populations within boundaries of said conservative states). Destruction of resources an option to prevent them from reaching liberal areas.
    4. Nov 6th 2020 all mainstream DNC media resources within boundaries of conservative states are assaulted and destroyed (facilities and infrastructure) and the employees given 48 hours to relocate to friendlier (to them) boundaries. Needed to this point to report on the seriousness of the actions being taken.
    5. Nov 7th order National Guard to mobilize to contain any Federal units located within conservative boundaries to on base only until removal is possible. BPT to act with violence if opposed.
    6. Nov 8th call up militia to guard conservative state borders and restrict movement into said area from residents of liberal states. Warn departing natives that reentry is not a given.
    7. Nov 9th consolidate and fortify all gains and see what happens.

So someone at the FBI/DOJ had interest to hunt and nail James Wolfe initially.

You ask who had the power to squash the investigation… hmm who had the power to go to the length to find out what Wolfe was up to in first place? Same person/group also must’ve been serious enough for Wolfe to throw these warnings at the committee..

What are these persons doing now? Having the strenght to go at Wolfe and a member of the media but then just stop going further after the deal?

    Something else is going on.
Aaaand.. Why is Trump so happy and optimistic? Why does he act like this will play out badly for our enemies? Why does he say he caught them all? Is he just acting like he’s in control?
Cause when I read CTH it sounds like the world is ending? It doesn’t fit with what Trump communicates to us.

When Turmp talks about Barr he says he doesn’t know what they do but he doesn’t act like he doesn’t know what they do.
It’s like he’s sure they will bring down his enemies!
If he’s just guessing and doesn’t know what Sundance points out and we know more than him then DAMN! It would mean besides his great economy deals he’s clueless and a dummy socially getting played by Barr and co.!

Nancy Pelosi has everything to gain by sending articles of impeachment to the Senate. In doing so, she will be gambling that it is the Republicans, not the Democrats, who are inclined to commit political suicide before the 2020 election.

Pelosi knows that if a Republican controlled Senate removes President Trump from office in spite of his 90% approval rating among rank and file Republicans, that will be the end of the Republican Party.

Sending articles of impeachment to the Senate with the ultimate goal of not only removing Donald Trump from office, but also of destroying the Republican Party, would be the biggest political gamble in American history.

We now have every indication that Nancy Pelosi and her staff of lawfare lawyers think they can pull it off. If the rank and file of the Republican Party doesn’t stand up for the president in this time of crisis, they can kiss their hopes for a better, more prosperous America goodbye.

Im a conservative and I looked at her voting record in when she was a State Senator and US Senator and she is the most conservative dem in the country. She is funded by the dem blue dog coalition. Her record is much better than McSalley who is in her State. They need 67 votes to get the impeachment. They will need 23 Republicans to get it and that won’t happen. All it will do is try and make our President look bad. What we need ro do is organize a large group of people and protest peacefully inside and outside the proceedings. It will have a huge impact. The media will ask us questions and we can show our supporr for him. The libbs do it.

But he can bring in the absolutely best defense team and I truly pray and fervently hope Sidney Powell leads that defense team. Imagine the devastation of the Democrats Sidney would produce.

Sun-tzu correctly wrote that a warrior without an option to retreat will fight as ten warriors. When you must fight to the death with the sea at your back, you will be the most dangerous and deadly foe your enemy has ever faced.

What is amazing to me is the naivety of 1/2 the country who today is experiencing the greatest economic boom we have seen in at least the last 70 years and these people think that it will all just stay in place if President Trump is impeached??

Do they not understand that Socialism and even Globalism leads to total misery and massive mediocrity? Over the prior 16 years before PT, wages grew on average only $1,200 over 16 years!

Now imagine 5-10% unemployment, where wages are flat at best and your total taxes will be in the at least in the 40-60% range under a socialist or leftist regime. Is this really what people want to sign up for?

PT should hang a sign high up outside Trump Tower that forever encapsulates his major accomplishments such as:

    Lowest African American Unemployment ever
    Lowest Hispanic American Unemployment ever
    Lowest Asian American Unemployment ever
Lowest female Unemployment in 70 years
50% increase in the stock market in 3 years
Fastest wage growth for lower and middle class in decades
7 million people off food stamps
    Most Americans working ever
manufacturing jobs & companies returned to America
    Fair trade deals
    Putting Americans first
Strong stance on illegal immigration and no open borders
Investing to build the Strongest military on Earth
    Biggest tax cut ever

    And on and on

My point is, these accomplishments after just 3 years, need to be forever recorded because the young people who are going to have to endure total misery for the rest of their lives will never believe we ever had it so good and wonder how it all changed.

It needs to be recorded that all of this was destroyed by selfish, cowards who could have stood up and saved the Republic but didn’t because of their pure hatred for a man who put America and Americans first.

The names of these selfish, cowards should be engraved on every government building and remembered forever so all can see the names of the people who destroyed the United States of America and their children and grandchildren will know unequivocally, it was their family that took down this country.

The stock market would crash and we would never recover, because we will never be free again. And STILL, half the country will not understand who caused it.

Great analysis! For a legal insurrection, state legislators need to use their constitutional authority under Article V to apply for a Convention of States to propose constitutional amendments which (if ratified by 38 states) would limit federal spending, limit federal power and jurisdiction, and limit the terms of federal officials. If terms of US Senators were limited to 12 years, with the starting point for such made retroactive, then wouldn’t all the members of the SSCI be forced out of the Senate, along with many of their colleagues? And couldn’t the power of the House to impeach a president and the power of the Senate to remove a president from office be limited, such as by more clearly defining the legal meaning of constitutional criteria for impeachment and rules of procedure for the House and Senate in cases of impeachment? What amendments would you advise to better drain the swamp?

And when they introduce sealed ballot cards to cast their Senate impeachment vote so they can all stay hidden, you will say what?

What people are missing is Russia Collusion has NOTHING to do with Ukraine extortion to get Joe, as they will call it.

Barr and Durham are investigating Russia Collusion not this Ukraine issue. Why do you think they needed another frame job?

So it would not involve AG Barr. He and Durham are off the hook. Yes they can still say Russia Collusion was a fraud and maybe there is a fall guy or two but it doesn’t stop this Ukraine frame job and impeachment IMO.

You see all was good when it was ONLY Russia Collusion as that did not involve any Rep. Senators And was never going to go anywhere. But Ukraine IMO opens a new can of worms that may just possibly involve many who can not afford to be drawn into the spotlight.

Thus the vote is in the bag and Barr and Durham walk away saying they did their job in terms of investigating the predicate of Russia Collusion.

      • Bogeyfree says:

Their original mistake was Russia Collusion didn’t contain any leverage on Republicans and thus impeachment was never going to fly so they needed an incident if investigated could possibly uncover and expose huge amounts of dirt on many.

Thus the Ukraine frame job was born. Dangerous, as it brings to the surface and close to home their real sins but necessary to engulf many who they knew had dirty hands IMO.

It’s really quite smart of them, by creating the Ukraine frame job that could possibly now include many, if fully investigated, then they would be able to get the leveraged buy in votes necessary to impeach PT.

Yes, the American people will know Russia Collusion was a frame job and most likely this is too but there is nothing to stop them if they have the “leverage” support in the Senate as I think they do. It is all moot.

  34. Chris Vhfan says:

After the indictments are announced the IG report will be released. Those facing indictment include all of those principles involved in the illegal FISA applications and renewals from September 2016 through the 3rd renewal in May of 2017. That would include Peter Strzok, Andrew Weissmann, James Comey, Sally Yates, and Rod Rosenstein.

Those involved in the setting up and framing of George Papadopoulos in March of 2016, which was the basis of opening the Operation Crossfire Hurricane counterintelligence investigation are also in jeopardy. That would include John Brennan, James Clapper, and possibly Obama’s national security advisor Susan Rice.

The elusive Joseph Mifsud is clearly a material witness, as is Australian Ambassador Alexander Downer.

The mysterious Stefan Halper, who was paid over $1 million dollars by the Department of Defense and his handler there, a Colonel James Baker. Halper’s role to apparently spy on Trump’s associates and be a conduit for framing them illegally with fabricated information.

Brennan is emerging as the clear mastermind of the operation which used the full powers of the intelligence agencies, the CIA, NSA, the DOD, and the FBI to target a major Presidential candidate. Sabotage his campaign. Label him a Russian agent. And deprive Trump and those around him of their civil rights through illegal, unauthorized surveillance.

RICO style racketeering and deprival of civil rights
Charges could range from espionage, deprival of civil rights under color of authority, fraud on the FISA court, perjury, and RICO style racketeering conspiracy charges. Durham is also too be said to be looking at unprecedented unmasking of American citizens by senior White House officials.

Obama WH corruption: Rampant pay to play by Clinton, Kerry, and Biden
That would put Samantha Powers, Susan, Rice and Ben Rhodes squarely in the crosshairs of the expanded Durham investigation. At some point, all roads will lead to the Obama Oval Office, Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett and former President Barack Obama himself.

diGenova and Toensing set the record straight
In an extended interview last week with Lou Dobbs on Fox Business channel, attorneys Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing revealed that the indictments from Durham and the Grand Jury are imminent. Victoria Toensing says that

“It’s going to be very bad for the people in the Obama Administration”. According to Toensing, “It is going to be worse than you can imagine”.
    Joseph diGenova adds:

“I would say (it’s going to be) explosive. For people at the highest levels of the FBI and at the highest levels of the Justice Department. More importantly, the Justice Department. It’s going to be devastating. It’s going to ruin careers.”
He emphasizes that people will be disbarred.

“It’s going to make people have Bar Association problems.”
The greatest political scandal in American history
    diGenova goes on to say,

“What’s clear, and now we know, is that the senior levels of the Obama Justice department were complicit in knowingly submitting materially false applications to the FISA court for an illegitimate counterintelligence purpose, not for a legitimate purpose, but to spy on Americans for political purposes.”
Eric Ciaramella, Schiff’s “whistleblower” has ties to Susan Rice and Joe Biden

diGenova makes clear, “It really will end up being the beginning of the greatest political scandal in history. And it’s being held up (the IG report) partially because of John Durham’s new grand jury, which by the way, exists for one reason and one reason only. Because people are going to be indicted.”

    Toensing says about Durham’s investigation,

“It’s been expanded. He is now going into whole other areas. He’s gone back into the origins of the investigation. They disobeyed all the rules of a counterintelligence investigation.”
    Unmasking and leaking classified information
    diGenova adds,

“It is expanded because they found out from the Devin Nunes experience at the White House in March of 2017 that there had been massive, massive unmaskings of Americans for political purposes. That information was given, and leaked, to the press. The Michael Flynn Ambassador Kisliak call, the Russian Ambassador, which was leaked to David Ignatius of the (Washington) Post is, in fact, the subject of one of the criminal investigations. Because that leak (of classified information) is a 20-year felony.”
Toensing takes it further, urging Durham to bring in Mark Zaid, ‘whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella’s attorney, before the grand jury and,

“ask him how he knew that CNN was going to be a part of it.” Zaid tweeted in January of 2017 that “impeachment was about to begin” and that “CNN was going to be a big part of it.”

    Toensing adds.

“Was he talking to James Clapper and did he know that Clapper was going to leak the dossier”.
Smashing the Deep State coup against Donald Trump
The implications are clear and decisive. A reckoning is finally coming for those who have been purposely staging an attempted coup d’etat from the day Donald Trump was elected President. The coup plotters began their criminal malfeasance long before Trump took office. Abusing their authority to thwart the will of the American people. The current impeachment farce is a cover to deflect from the coming indictments and muddy the waters.

Schiff witness Taylor has ties to Burisma think tank, Soros, McCain leaker
Deep state operative and fake ‘Whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella is the latest extension of the ongoing slow-rolling coup against Donald Trump. A John Brennan protege, who worked with Susan Rice in the White House, Ciaramella is part and parcel of the current phase of the never-ending Russia Hoax, Mueller Weissmann Inquisition, and the Impeachment farce unfolding right in front of our eyes.

Now that Ciaramella is being blocked from testifying by Adam Schiff, who he collaborated with to launch the current impeachment farce, Victoria Toensing tweeted “When I was a prosecutor I couldn’t decide who defense called as a witness.”

Finally, let justice prevail to save the Republic
America sees what is happening. The American people aren’t stupid. After three years of constant illegitimate attacks on Donald Trump from the Deep State, a reckoning is finally coming.

The transparent farce of the impeachment inquiry is not going well. Calling Democrat Deep State operatives like Eric Ciaramella and Lt. Col Vindmann some kind of legitimate patriots instead of the partisan assassins that they are. Leaking selected tidbits of selected testimony to harm the President. Acting like an East German Stassi show trial that would make Stalin blush.

The Russia Hoax: James Clapper throws Barack Obama under the bus
At long last, this three-year national nightmare of abject criminality is about to turn against the Democrats.

We have waited a long time for the IG Horowitz report to be released. Now we know why it is still under wraps. Indictments are coming from John Durham. The first round of many. Once those are issued we will finally see the Horowitz report. We will finally learn the truth about 2016.

It will be a devastating cascade of horrors for the Obama White House, for Adam Schiff, the Deep State “whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella, and the Democrat party as a whole. It can’t come soon enough.

There is a Senate rule adopted in 1986 which governs impeachment trials (S. Res. 479, 99th Congress–linked below). A review of the rule (and its 2/3 vote requirement for amendment) might salve some of the anxiety the Richard Burrs and Joy Reids of the world seem to generate.

For example, no standing Senate committee has any pre-determined jurisdiction. Rather, the “Presiding Officer” may appoint a committee for certain evidence-adducing and reporting functions.
And the voting on the verdict is to be taken by roll call of each senator standing in place. No secret balloting to be found.

Which is not to say that determined skullduggery is impossible. But in order to succeed, the brazenness would need to enlist up-for-reelection-McConnell to lead a rule amending procedure and “Presiding Officer” Chief Justice Roberts to openly warp all sense of due process in the trial itself.

    All in broad daylight.
