Busted: Central “Spygate” Lawyer/Lobbyist Adam Waldman Caught Lying to Senator Chuck Grassley…

Massive Hat-Tip to @almostjingo

Adam Waldman is the lawyer/lobbyist for Oleg Deripaska, the Russian billionaire who appears to be a key background player in the 2016 DOJ/FBI scheme against presidential candidate Donald Trump.  Additionally, Mr. Waldman represents the U.S. interests of Christopher Steele, a likely contract employee of Deripaska and author of the Clinton-Steele Dossier that was used by the DOJ/FBI during their counterintelligence operation against presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Because of his centrality, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley recently requested testimony from Mr. Adam Waldman, surrounding his contacts and engagements -with Deripaska, and by extension the DOJ/FBI- throughout the 2016/2017 operation to undermine and remove President Donald Trump.

In a response letter released August 18th (full pdf below) lawyers representing Mr. Waldman told Senator Chuck Grassley their client was “out of the country and not expected to return for several weeks.” SEE BELOW:

However, internet researcher/investigator almostjingo noticed that Mr. Waldman’s wife Barbara Sturm posted an instagram picture today of them dining with friends in New York last night, August 22nd:

(Link) Barbara Sturm second from left, husband Adam Waldman far right.

Whoopsie, apparently the letter from Mr. Waldman’s lawyers was intentionally false and simply an effort to avoid giving testimony to congress.  Adam Waldman cannot be “out of the country for several weeks” and simultaneously having dinner in New York last night.

Here’s the full attorney letter:

Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska is a key figure at the epicenter of the DOJ and FBI activity that was taking place in 2016.  Through his affiliates, lawyers and associates, Deripaska is directly connected to dossier author Christopher Steele, Fusion-GPS, and the collaborative FBI efforts of Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok.

Adam Waldman (left) and Oleg Deripaska (right)

In the early 2016 text messages and email conversations between DOJ Official Bruce Ohr and Christopher Steele, the interests of Oleg Deripaska are a centerpiece of a quid-pro-quo where Deripaska gains a travel VISA and possible exemption from the Magnitsky Act in exchange for cooperation with the FBI effort against Donald Trump.

Adam Waldman was also the person in contact with corrupt Senate Intelligence Committee vice-chairman Mark Warner early in 2017 when the ‘insurance policy’ was deployed against newly elected President Donald Trump.  As discovered in text messages, Waldman was the liaison, the person providing plausible deniability, between Senator Warner, Christopher Steele and Oleg Deripaska.

(Link to All Text Messages)

As many people are now aware, the SSCI is the most corrupt committee apparatus within congress; and as noted in the text messages, Adam Waldman only wanted to work with the Senate Intelligence Committee on his endeavors.

Within the Adam Waldman text messages to Senator Mark Warner, Waldman also notes the relationship between his client Christopher Steele and former Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chair Dianne Feinstein staffer, Daniel Jones.

Lawyer and Lobbyist Adam Waldman represents central figures: Oleg Deripaska, Christopher Steele and also Julian Assange.  However, the connection between Waldman, Steele and Daniel Jones becomes additionally important.

You might remember that Daniel Jones raised $50 million to continue funding the Fusion-GPS investigation *AFTER* the 2016 election.  It is likely part (perhaps most/all) of the money came from Oleg Deripaska, via his lawyer lobbyist Adam Waldman.

These are the types of questions that need to be answered.  Hence, Senator Chuck Grassley requesting Mr. Waldman to appear and give testimony.  However, it is the uncomfortable issues behind these questions that were apparently so concerning they led Waldman’s own lawyers to lie about his whereabouts.

It appears a little hypocritical for Mr. Waldman to be evading questioning considering it was Waldman who contacted journalist John Solomon earlier in the year to present a story conducive to his client Oleg Deripaska.   He was full of information in May, 2018, but when facing questioning about that information in August – he disappears.

Waldman’s current triangulation is part of the reason for our earlier emphasis/warning on the construct of the May 2018 Solomon article.  After all, everyone involved in the ‘soft coup attempt’ is desperate to safeguard their own interests.

Adam Waldman was representing Oleg Deripaska’s interests in the U.S. to politicians and officials. In May of 2018, John Solomon was contacted by Adam Waldman with a story about how the FBI contacted Deripaska for help in their Trump Russia investigation in September of 2016.

Keep in mind, this is Waldman contacting Solomon with a story.

Waldman told Solomon a story about how his client Oleg Deripaska was approached by the FBI in September of 2016 and asked for help with information about Paul Manafort and by extension Donald Trump. Within the backstory for the FBI and Deripaska was a prior connection between Robert Mueller and Deripaska in 2009.

Again, as you read the recap, remember this is Waldman contacting Solomon. Article Link Here – and my summary below:

♦In 2009 the FBI, then headed by Robert Mueller, requested the assistance of Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska in an operation to retrieve former FBI officer and CIA resource Robert Levinson who was captured in Iran two years earlier. The agent assigned to engage Deripaska was Andrew McCabe; the primary FBI need was financing and operational support. Deripaska spent around $25 million and would have succeeded except the U.S. State Department, then headed by Hillary Clinton, backed out.

♦In September of 2016 Andrew McCabe is now Deputy Director of the FBI, when two FBI agents approached Deripaska in New York – again asking for his help. This time the FBI request was for Deripaska to outline Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort as a tool of the Kremlin. Deripaska once hired Manafort as a political adviser and invested money with him in a business venture that went bad. Deripaska sued Manafort, alleging he stole money. However, according to the article, despite Deripaska’s disposition toward Manafort he viewed the request as absurd. He laughed the FBI away, telling them: “You are trying to create something out of nothing.”

This story, as told from the perspective of Adam Waldman -Deripaska’s lawyer/lobbyist- is important because it highlights a connection between Robert Mueller and Oleg Deripaska; a connection Mueller and the DOJ/FBI never revealed on their own.

I wrote about the ramifications of the Solomon Story HERE. Again, hopefully most will review; because there’s a larger story now visible with the new communication between Christopher Steele and Bruce Ohr.

It is likely that Oleg’s 2016 entry into the U.S. was facilitated as part of a quid-pro-quo; either agreed in advance, or, more likely, planned by the DOJ/FBI for later use in their 2016 Trump operation; as evidenced in the September 2016 FBI request. Regardless of the planning aspect, billionaire Deripaska is connected to Chris Steele, a source for Chris Steele, and likely even the employer of Chris Steele.

The FBI used Oleg Deripaska (source), and Oleg Deripaska used the FBI (visa).

Here’s where it gets interesting….

In that May article John Solomon reports that Deripaska wanted to testify to congress last year (2017), without any immunity request, but was rebuked. Who blocked his testimony?

In 2017 Oleg Deripaska was represented in the U.S. by Adam Waldman. Mr. Waldman was also representing Christopher Steele, the author of the Dossier. Waldman was the liaison Senator Mark Warner (Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chairman) was using to try and set up a secret meeting with Christopher Steele. {Text Messages}

As you can see from the text messages (more here), the House Intelligence Committee wanted to interview Deripaska. However, based on their ongoing contact and relationship Deripaska’s lawyer, Adam Waldman, asks Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chair Mark Warner for feedback.

Oleg Deripaska was blocked from testifying to congress. Now, it was obviously not from the HPSCI (Nunes Committee), but rather by the Senate Intel Committee, via Vice-Chair Senator Mark Warner. Oh yes, THAT Senator Mark Warner again.

Now, think about this…. Yes, with Oleg Deripaska in the picture there was indeed Russian meddling in the 2016 election; only, it wasn’t the type of meddling currently being sold. The FBI/DOJ were using Russian Deripaska to frame their Russian conspiracy narrative. It is almost a certainty that Deripaska was one of Chris Steele’s sources for the dossier.

Now, put yourself in Deripaska’s shoes and think about what happens AFTER candidate Donald Trump surprisingly wins the election.

All of a sudden Deripaska the asset becomes a risk to the corrupt Scheme Team (DOJ/FBI et al); especially as the DOJ/FBI then execute the “insurance policy” effort against Donald Trump…. and eventually enlist Robert Mueller.

It is entirely possible for a Russian to be blackmailing someone, but it ain’t Trump vulnerable to blackmail; it’s the conspiracy crew within the DOJ and FBI. Deripaska now has blackmail material on Comey, McCabe and crew.

After the 2017 (first year) failure of the “insurance policy” it now seems more likely President Trump will outlive the soft coup. In May 2018, Oleg tells Waldman to call John Solomon and tell him the story from a perspective favorable to Deripaska.

As the story is told, in 2017 Oleg was more than willing to testify to congress… likely laughing the entire time… but the corrupt participants within congress damned sure couldn’t let Deripaska testify. Enter corrupt SSCI Vice-Chairman Mark Warner:

Um, we’ve got a problem here Mark…

The Russians (Deripaska) really do have leverage and blackmail… but it ain’t over Trump. Oleg has blackmail on Comey, McCabe and conspiracy crew. Oleg Deripaska must be kept away from congress and away from exposing the scheme.

Guess who else must be controlled and/or kept away from congress?

Julian Assange.

Assange has evidence the Russians didn’t hack the DNC.

Between Deripaska’s first-hand knowledge of the DOJ/FBI work on both the Dossier and the DOJ/FBI intention for his use as a witness; and Julian Assange’s first-hand knowledge of who actually took the DNC email communication;… well, the entire Russian narrative could explode in their faces.

Control is needed.

You can almost hear the corrupt U.S. intelligence officials calling their U.K. GCHQ partners in Britain and yelling at them to do something, anything, and for the love of God, shut down Assange’s access to the internet STAT…. Yeah, funny that.

Now, who moves into position to control Julian Assange?

Well, well, well…. Lookie here? Who dat? Apparently the SSCI wants to interview WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, in a closed session. Signed by none-other than our corrupt-o-crats Richard Burr and Mark Warner. Yeah, funny that.

Lest anyone need a reminder…. “The most corrupt part of congress is the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI). The SSCI is the center of the deepest part of the Deep State swamp. The SSCI never, ever, E.V.E.R… does anything that does not protect and advance the self-interest of the corrupt Washington DC professional political class.”

Now do we see why the SSCI is the center of protecting the entire fraudulent apparatus?

It’s somewhat humorous to look at this fiasco from the perspective of Oleg Deripaska. He must be having a lot of laughs with his Ruskie friends about these stupid Americans and how the intelligence apparatus of the United States of America is controlled by corrupt politicians trying to save themselves and the corrupt institutions.

The Russians, notorious for sowing discord, are being used as a shield from sunlight upon actions taken by U.S. own intelligence officers: James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Loretta Lynch, Sally Yates, John Brennan, James Clapper etc.

There’s a reason why I keep emphasizing the source of the John Solomon story was Adam Waldman. Think about it from the perspective of the conspiracy group reading how Oleg instructed Waldman to present his story.

With Deripaska telling Solomon how the FBI contacted him; the background of their prior collaborative relationship; and the likelihood of Deripaska giving information to Chris Steele for the dossier; the scheme team really, really, needed to double down on the Russian conspiracy narrative in case Oleg ever did testify to congress.

By doubling down on the Russian Collusion narrative the conspirators created a ‘catch-22’ defense. They could/can claim Deripaska was/is giving disinformation in his version of events to support the interests of Russia and sewing chaos in America etc. And any Republican who would give Deripaska a platform to tell what happened in 2016 would be doing the bidding of Vladimir Putin. See how that works?

The soft coup team protects themselves by impugning the motive of Deripaska, and diminishing his credibility under the auspices of Russian disinformation.

I go back to the original intent of the SC which was to look into ANY Russian collusion that occurred before, during and after the 2016 election and yet 100% of the SC time has been on just Trump.

With all of this mounting evidence that points in the direction of it being the Hillary team that actually colluded with the Russians and RR and Mueller continue to ignore it just boggles the mind and is all any honest person needs to see to know this whole thing is a massive fraud.

And even Sessions who professes the “highest standard” ignores it all. Even if you are recused, if your honorable and see injustice spitting you in the face, you would think he would un-recuse himself or fire RR and then resign.

Declassify the 4th FISA that RR signed which will expose the four named sources, then expose their status (Russian agent or Western Agent) and the American people will quickly see this whole thing has been a fraud and a snow job by the left.

After that any moderate Democrat that wants to stay in office will vote for Kavanaugh in early Sept and a red wave will take hold come Nov.

Once the FISA and the perpetrators of this witch hunt are publicly exposed and the public’s anger with rise and PT can safely fire Sessions, RR and Wray and prepare the bulldozer that will drain the swamp.

It is time to make it so!

Just curious … where is it stated that Waldman approached Solomon for the Hill article? That article quotes Waldman but does not indicate who called whom. Is this something Solomon mentioned somewhere else?

If Deripaska wanted to testify to Congress about Democrat misdeeds, it seems unlikely he’d have his lawyer call Warner after being contacted by Nunes. Which leads me to question whether the blackmail material is on Democrats, or Trump himself as per what is already alleged in the dossier.

Also, if Deripaska were going to reveal a conspiracy to unseat Trump based on his (Deripaska’s) allegations from the dossier, Deripaska would seek immunity.

Because he knows that the dossier is made up gossip — he was part of originating it. Note that many of the negative claims in the Dossier are about Manafort. These likely came from both Simpson and Deripaska, who had long-term grudges against him.

Unfortunately, there are only a few GOP Congressmen and Senators (ie Freedom Caucus) that care at all about issues like this and of course zero Dems except to interrupt and protest. It appears anyone on the Dem side can ignore Congressional Committees or lie to them and nothing will actually happen because the Committees are toothless and their alleged former powers have been greatly diminished. Eric Holder’s unpunished snub sped up the decline of these “powers.”

These toothless grillings look impressive at times but are only used for sound bites or for show prior to an election or a pretense of a “superior” branch of gov’t pretending to have effective powers to oversee important abuses. But it is obvious the DOJ and the FBI have long ago usurped the power of Congress in an earlier barely noticed internal coup or transfer of power and authority. Occasionally, if they feel like it or it’s convenient, someone at the FBI or DOJ will appear before a Committee and go through the motions to maintain the charade.

If the few diehards like the FC try to show some strength and action, their DOJ and FBI “superiors” put up roadblocks and shut them down anyway.

However, sundance’s American readers (and others) care about what’s going on and appreciate his efforts at CTH but have no power beyond the ballot box.

From what I’ve read (relatively new to this site I am) seems to me the “net you have cast onto the seas” has threads coming together that are becoming tighter and tighter. Even the little minnows won’t get away from the net you have woven.
I don’t always agree with you. Ever hear of chaos theory? That I believe is President Trump’s style. I really am actually coming to like the chaos he creates and how it throws people off balance. Always keeping people second guessing what his next move will be. Maybe President Trump will fire Jeff Sessions tomorrow, and maybe he won’t.
Just wondering why President Trump is sowing discord about Sessions at this time? Perhaps Mr. Sessions is snoozing on the job and has “done nothing,” Perhaps not. I am not sure that any one of us knows with any certainty what Sessions has been doing. If Sessions is “retired” tomorrow so be it. I’m am praying for Sessions.
I know what it is like to work behind the scenes in anonymity. You don’t get credit for all the work you do under the radar with flashing lights at a press conference. If you are doing your job correctly that is the last thing that will happen (sorry I guess I am a Jeff Sessions apologist). I just know how things work in the dot..gov investigative arena. People constantly pissed at you when you do not produce the results people want when they want them.
I guess the last person in the universe I would want to be tonight is Jeff Sessions. I do believe this is President Trump’s chaos theory in action – or maybe I should go to effing bed already.
    Blessings to All.

But if he was truly working to help behind the scenes, I don’t believe President Trump would work against him publicly; he doesn’t work that way, and time is running out – this needs to all be brought out into the sunlight for all to see and understand before the elections, or risk this all being hidden away and the President being impeached if the dems take control of the House.

“Waldman visited Assange on 12 and 13 January 2017, days before Trump’s inauguration as president, and again immediately after the ceremony, on 27 January.
The Guardian has separately corroborated that Waldman was in London in late March, when he saw Assange twice more. He visited the embassy three times in April and made two more visits at the end of November 2017.”

The Hill article ‘How Comey intervened to kill WikiLeaks immunity deal’

“Waldman contacted Ohr, a Justice official he’d met during the Russia election case. They talked by phone and encrypted text messages in early January, then met Feb. 3, 2017, in Washington, records show. In between, Waldman met three times with Assange in London.”

NOTE – Buzzfeed published the infamous dossier January 10, 2017.

We know Waldman was communicating with (no paper trail) Warner. We know Waldman was in direct comms with Steele and of course Deripaska as his employer. We know Waldman was in direct comms with Bruce Ohr and we also know Steele as representing Deripaska was in direct comms with Bruce Ohr.

But where does Julian Assange fit in to all this and why is Waldman suddenly visiting Assange?
Keep in mind Waldman is being paid by Deripaska while visiting Assange.
Imagine if Deripaska / Steele / Waldman / Ohr have put together a completely false dossier about VSG Trump and all their activities will soon be exposed by VSG Trump to U.S. citizens and the wider world….. I suggest what these out of control crack pots attempted was a mixture of blackmail using Assange as bait and carry out a spectacular of delivering up Assange to U.S. authorities but with the caveat of immunity for all.

My guess would be they were trying to get information out of Assange, find out exactly what information he had so they could plan accordingly. If they want to make up fake stories and fix alibies it’s as well to know that someone isn’t going to cut the legs out from under you. I hope the fact that Assange is still in a bad position means he told them nothing.

We’ll talk about influencing elections what about Obama using US Taxpayers money to undermine the elections in Israel?

And going directly to the U.K. to assist in the defeat of Brexit – again representing the NWO and not the interests of the US.

No bad press on how O treated Bibi one of our strongest allies – and as far as the Russians, Obama’s policies (his promise to “Vlad” for more flexibility after the election) in Ukraine, Syria, Iran, canceling the Missle Defense Installations in Poland and Croatia and putting rules of engagement on our military created the
mess we currently have with Russia!

Don’t get me started on how Obama set in motion chaos in the Middle East with the MBH.

Waldman’s passport easily would determine where he was- or was not. Did his lawyer knowingly lie in the letter to Grassley? Did Waldman’s wife know that he reportedly was out of the country for several weeks?

I can’t decide if they all suffer from hubris or stupidity…. 🤔

In the letter prior to this Waldman had said he would be out of the country for a number of months. Waldman also said he required a license from treasury dept to communicate with the committee due to recent sanctions on Deripaska.
Chuck Grassley committee staff arranged all the paperwork and the license but now Waldman has blanked them.
Absolute disgrace on Waldmans part but Grassley won’t let it go.

Deripaska’s Pain Shows Trump Is Tough on Putin, Treasury Says
    By Saleha Mohsin
    August 21, 2018

The Trump administration has targeted a “who’s who” of Russia’s most prominent companies, including its largest aluminum producer, United Co. Rusal, and En+ Group Plc. The U.S. sanctioned Deripaska, along with dozens of Russian tycoons, companies and key allies of Putin in April in the administration’s most significant action to date.

‘Credit Suisse freezes $5 billion of Russian money due to U.S. sanctions’
      August 22, 2018
ZURICH (Reuters) – One of Switzerland’s largest banks, Credit Suisse, has frozen roughly 5 billion Swiss francs ($5 billion) of money linked to Russia to avoid falling foul of U.S. sanctions, according to its accounts, further increasing pressure on Moscow.
The move by Credit Suisse, which owned aircraft surrendered by Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska and had lent money to Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg before the sanctions, underscores a widespread fear among banks of reprisals from Washington for working with targeted Russian individuals and entities.

Deripaska is an interesting figure. IMO he plays into the heart of the dossier story with Chris Steele, which is what Sen. Grassley was trying to figure out – what the connection is there.

The end of the article linked below reminds me what the DOJ/FBI are doing to Trump, just replace “oligarch” with “America First Self-made Businessman”, “U.S. perspective” with “corrupted DOJ/FBI” perspective, “his empire” with “MAGA”.

The DOJ/FBI can’t separate themselves from the political hunt. That to me is their core corruption. They have too much power. They lecture on the law, but they don’t really know how to apply fairly to someone like Pres. Trump. I don’t think they are used to being less powerful than the president. I hope Jim Jordan, Grassley and others keep working at moving the oversight ball forward. There’s a huge amount of resistance.

Deripaska’s Two-Decade Wooing of U.S. Ends in Financial Meltdown
        By Stephanie Baker
        April 10, 2018

What matters now from the U.S. perspective is that Deripaska is made to suffer financially to demonstrate resolve and reach, according to George Voloshin, who runs the Paris office of Aperio Intelligence Ltd., a financial crimes and business intelligence firm.

“The ultimate goal is to strike his empire and wreak havoc,” Voloshin said. “It sends a signal to other oligarchs that they could be next.”

So Waldman lied to congress. So what? Comey lied to congress. So did Strzok, Brennan, Clapper, Yates. Before them, Holder and Lerner. Holder was held in contempt and what happened to him? Congress has no teeth.

I hope Huber interviewed them and either got the truth or caught them in their lies.

I’m really pinning all my hopes on Huber getting results because congress can really do nothing. But … silence from Utah. Does anybody here have any clue about what progress his team is making? I hear there have been eleventy gabillion sealed indictments filed this year, but what they’re for is truly unknown.

Big fish, little fish, time’s up. Anyone who defies a subpoena needs to be found in contempt and jailed. The wound can not be allowed to fester more than it has.

    • Alligator Gar says:

If you go back an read Huber’s instructions, he’s not the prosecutor. His team’s directions were to review the information and see if any of the players should be prosecuted and report that back to HQ.

      • Holmes says:

Wow. So a year or two until a report is filed with HQ. It gets reviewed by layers and layers of attorneys. Then maybe, MAYBE someone bad gets prosecuted. The sun will have expanded to swallow the Earth by that time.

That means those billions of sealed federal indictments I heard were filed this year must be for opioid dealers and human traffickers, not the issues we’re discussing here. So where’s the Big Ugly to come from? Not congress. Not the news media. We’ve already lost that narrative.

Sorry to be such a downer, I’m looking for something, ANYTHING to give me optimism about this.

The ‘forces’ at work to hindering Deripaska unable to testify are the same forces that prevented Julian Assange in June 2017 from testifying who provided the Podesta expose to WikiLeaks.

That Deripaska is also a friend of president Putin tells me that he will act and in the end doing what’s right namely testifying about the scheme team and conspirators to destroy president Trump.

Deripaska does not strike me to be a dumb guy or a fool seeing the writing on the wall: president Trump’s taking down the shadow government and its deep state agents. No one in their right mind would take the side of the losing team.

President Trump and president Putin had their own plan which was to be whisked away onto AF1 to enable both men to speak freely and without the possibility being wiretapped.

There is no doubt that president Trump and Putin are aware of the curveball aka Deripaska and the deep state’s attempt to keep him silent forever.

Like Julian Assange before him Deripaska is in my estimation choosing wisely and blow the whistle on these traitors. Julian Assange learned long ago that president Trump is his safe bet from being assassinated.

Having said that I’ll look forward to special arrangements being made or have already been made for Deripaska to answer the presidents many questions. Julian Assange is alive because he did the right thing and that is to spread it all out.
Keep in mind Julian has much more of the CIA/deep state and their worldwide destructive operations such as drug trafficking, money laundering, human trafficking that includes child sex trafficking and worse including procuring children for the worldwide satanic network and their practice of ritual sacrifices.

This is really not only a political fight but more so a fight between good and evil!

One look at Waldman’s picture says it all.
His attorney had to cover for him by lying.
He had to cover for the fact that Waldman was high out of his mind on K2 Spice running naked on all fours through the streets chasing cars.
    It appears he caught one.
that just happened to be parked.

    Woof! Woof!

  32. Lindy says:

Could Waldman’s email dated March 31, 2017, where he refers to “My other guy, like Steele, very distrustful of USG…” be referrring to Julian Assange instead of Deripaska?? Waldman says, “I explored this question w him last night in person.” From the Guardian, “The Guardian has separately corroborated that Waldman was in London in late March, when he saw Assange twice more. ” https://www.theguardian.com/media/2018/jun/20/us-lobbyist-for-russian-oligarch-visited-julian-assange-nine-times-last-year. Assange also might feel “shut out” of country.

    • Craig from Scotland says:

I think the reference to ‘our guy’ and concerns if he has to go back home is definitely Deripaska, and he is essentially on the run from Russia.

Some observations about the linked Sullivan article, published at The Hill, May 14, 2018:
Quoted from article-“Two months before Trump was elected president, Deripaska was in New York as part of Russia’s United Nations delegation when three FBI agents awakened him in his home; at least one agent had worked with Deripaska on the aborted effort to rescue Levinson.”
In Sept 2016 Deripaska had a HOME in NY City. He was part of Russia’s UN delegation?
One of the agents could have been McCabe; from same Hill article “at least one agent had worked with Deripaska on the aborted effort to rescue Levinson.”.
FBI agents awakened him in his home–quite different from ‘FBI agents approached him’
Interesting-11 months later, Aug 2017, Manafort’s home was raided by FBI, some described it as he was awakened in bed.
