We are re-visiting history again in 2013.  A recent Washington Times article highlights a recently published paper from a seriously agenda driven “think tank” member, Arie Perliger.  [learn more about Arie Perliger here]

(Via Washington Times)  A West Point think tank has issued a paper warning America about “far right” groups such as the “anti-federalist” movement, which supports “civil activism,  individual freedoms and self-government.”

The report issued this week by the Combating  Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military  Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines:  Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.”

The center — part of the  institution where men and women are molded into Army officers — posted the  report Tuesday. It lumps limited government activists with three movements it  identifies as “a racist/white supremacy movement, an anti-federalist movement  and a fundamentalist movement.”

The West Point center typically focuses reports on al  Qaeda and other Islamic extremists attempting to gain power in Asia, the  Middle East and Africa through violence.

But its latest study turns inward and paints a broad brush of people it  considers “far right.” (more…)

Progressive and intolerant Colin Powell has the whole gun debate figured out:  “why can’t we just test everybody” before they are allowed to own a firearm?

There’s those pesky “Bill of Rights” thingy’s again.   Maybe we could test before allowing voting rights.  Or, well,  maybe a stability test before free speech expression, or religious affiliation.

What’s that, those other rights can’t kill people?  Really?  Think about that.

And NO, driving is not a “right”, so testing is not an appropriate comparison.   And if you cannot see the slippery slope to ownership of ice-cream purchasing based in physical exam and BMI (Body Mass Index) then you really don’t connect dots that well. (more…)

Pinch me…… This is not a typo, the French, as in France, the country of, are using fighter jets to attack al-Qaeda in North Africa.    The French are engaged in active military operations against Islamists in Mali.   Did I mention this is France doing this…..

Who would have thought that France would be fighting al-Qaeda and the United States would be providing al-Qaeda weapons (Syria) while claiming they are gone.  All the while an American Abassador is dragged through the streets and al-Qaeda flags hoisted atop U.S. embassies, and we do……..  ?

John Kerry for Secretary of State, Chuck Hagel for Defense Secretary, Jack Lew for Treasury and John O Brennan for CIA Director….   Sheeesh…. Wake me up in five years,… but only if I can still buy asprin with dollars.

(Reuters) — French aircraft pounded Islamist rebels in Mali for a second day on Saturday and neighboring West African states sped up their plans to deploy troops in an international campaign to prevent groups linked to al Qaeda expanding their power base.

France, warning that the control of northern Mali by the militants posed a security threat to Europe, intervened dramatically on Friday as heavily armed Islamist fighters swept southwards towards Mali’s capital Bamako. (more…)

John O. Brennan, Obama’s top terrorism and intelligence adviser is the owner of The Analysis Corp., the firm that was cited in March 2008 for penetrating the files of presidential candidates Barack Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and John McCain in the State Department’s passport office.

Here is my best non-physician explanation, that reconciles the conflicting reports.   Hugo Chavez appears to have spinal metastases of the cancer.  This is the VERY end stage, like “very”, as in essentially immediate death without mechanical intervention to prolong life.   

The base of the brain (top of the spine) is where the respiratory functions are located.   With cancer in the spine there is no way to reverse the effect, and rapid tumor growth occurs.   Breathing ceases.  

Using a mechanical respirator prolongs the physical life, but it is a place from no return.   In essence he is dead, but heart function continues with blood flow supported by breathing from mechanical means.   So reports of his death are semi-accurate and simultaneously the reports of him being comatose are also accurate.   Why prolong his physical death? (see below).

(summary) He is Clinically Dead , and will not be officially announced till after the 10th because in Venezuela’s constitution it requires an election in the event the elected official is not able to be inaugurated in Jan 10th.

There is absolutely no doubt a negative opinion toward Israel is an ideological qualification for any Cabinet Level position within the Obama Administration.    Having Zbignew Brzezinski out front is just further affirmation of this.   Brzezinski has been a part of Obama’s ideological life since the early days at Occidental College, through his Columbia University *cough* mystery thesis, and into the administration as a Senior Foreign Policy Advisor.  (In the picture below Zbignew Brzezinski is the guy with the gun, the bearded guy wearing the beret peering over his shoulder is Osama Bin Laden)

(WFB) As questions swirl around the prospective nomination of Chuck Hagel as President Barack Obama’s next defense secretary, the White House has begun mounting an effort to defend the former Nebraska Senator.

As part of that campaign, Zbigniew Brzezinski appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” early Thursday to push back against charges that Hagel is a poor choice for the job.

Brzezinski told the MSNBC anchor team, which includes his daughter Mika, that Hagel’s “critics, they would like to plunge the U.S. into some new wars, promptly, and not always for U.S. national interest.” (more…)

WASHINGTON — A high-level State Department investigative panel turned over a secret report Monday assessing blame for the deadly terrorist attacks against the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, setting the stage for a clash on the issue this week between the Obama administration and Republican critics.

The five-member Accountability Review Board delivered the report to the State Department two days before congressional panels are to hear testimony from its leading members, former Ambassador Thomas Pickering and former Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Michael G. Mullen, in closed session. (more…)

Let’s pause for a moment and evaluate recent events and recent claims by this President Obama [aka Dear Leader] of a Safe/Secure America under his watch:

Last night North Korea successfully launched their first ever 3-stage Intercontinental Ballistic Missile placing “something” in near earth orbit. North Korea has nuclear weapons ya’ know.

Yesterday from the border region of Afghanistan/Pakistan al-Qaeda’s #1 Ayman Al Zawahiri sent a video message to the salafists in Egypt to rise up off their prayer mats and support the sharia constitution by Muslim Brotherhood leader President Morsi.  “You must meet the request of the Egyptian people for Sharia rule in order to attain dignity and pride,” Zawahiri said in his video

That’s the same Egypt we just approved to get twenty brand spanking new F-16 fighter jets.

Also yesterday in West Africa, specifically in Mali, the freedom reform Prime Minister was forced to resign after al-Qaeda forces took control of the military and performed a coup de ta. al-Qaeda now controls the country.  Soldiers carried out a late-night arrest of Mali’s prime minister at his home here, forcing his resignation early Tuesday and casting new doubt on plans to chase out radical Islamists who control much of this troubled West African nation. SYRIA –  Western intelligence officials have noticed new worrying signs of activity at chemical weapons sites in Syria, The New York Times reported on Saturday.

The Syrian regime is “doing some things that suggest they intend to use the weapons,” one American intelligence official told the Times, adding, “It’s not just moving stuff around. These are different kind of activities.”

The officials were unsure of Syria’s intentions regarding the work at the chemical sites, but said it is possible Damascus is preparing to use chemical weapons as a last-ditched effort to defeat rebels, according to the report. (more…)
