NBC News reports that Abdulazeez is a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Kuwait. He was born in 1990. He came to the United States in 1996 with his parents.
A ruling this morning from the Wisconsin Supreme Court (read here), rendered official what observers have long known for a long time:
Wisconsin Democrats did, in fact, launch a massive, multi-county “John Doe” investigation of the state’s conservatives, featuring extraordinarily broad subpoenas and coordinated “paramilitary” raids of private homes; the “crimes” that provided the investigation’s pretext were not crimes at all, but First Amendment-protected speech; and the legal theory underpinning the investigation was bunk, “unsupported in either reason or law,” as the court put it.
[…] On October 3, 2013, multiple Wisconsin conservatives were awakened by a persistent pounding on the door, their houses were illuminated by floodlights, and police — sometimes with guns drawn — poured into their homes. Once inside, the investigators turned the private residences of these innocent conservative citizens “upside down,” seeking an extraordinarily broad range of documents and information. These raids were supplemented by subpoenas that secured for investigators massive amounts of electronic information.
…[McCain] noted that he was personally censured by Arizona Republicans in January of 2014 and has been fighting to push out the extremists in the state G.O.P. ever since. “We did to some degree regain control of the Party.” But McCain fears that Trump may be reversing those gains.

McCain promises to unleash the full fury of the establishment Republican machine against Donald Trump to insure his defeat. Trump will never be accepted by McCain’s coalition of Republicans in the Senate….

He shared the stage with the father of a man who was killed by an undocumented immigrant—and Trump continued his rant against illegal immigration that began when he launched his campaign and started to surge in the polls. Jill Kelly is a woman who became entangled in the General Petraeus / Paul Broadwell affair story which exploded immediately following the Benghazi attacks in 2012. The affair was used by the White House to remove the CIA Petraeus risk.
Jill Kelly was threatened by Paula Broadwell during Broadwell’s affair with Petraeus. Once the affair was exposed, the media outed Jill Kelly as the original source to the FBI who uncovered the sordid affair.
Kelly then filed a lawsuit against the FBI for releasing her identity to the public via the media. The source of that media leak was, in essence, traced to then pentagon attorney Jeh Johnson, who later became DHS Secretary.

Holmes could face the death penalty if convicted of multiple counts of murder and attempted murder for opening fire inside a packed midnight premiere of a Batman film at a Denver area multiplex in July 2012, killing 12 people and wounding 70. (read more)

What started out as an effort to keep the statue of Robert E. Lee atop his column in Lee Circle, has expanded its mission to include defending all of the statues and monuments dedicated to the Confederacy.
The City Council, at Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s request, has begun a formal hearing process that could result in the removal of Lee and monuments dedicated to P.G.T. Beauregard, another Confederate general; Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederacy; and the Battle of Liberty Place, a bloody confrontation instigated by ex-Confederates who launched a failed coup against Louisiana’s Reconstruction government. WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. – Local 6 has exclusively learned there’s new trouble for the man accused of shooting at George Zimmerman.
Matthew Apperson is now facing a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge, accused of urinating on his neighbor’s front porch. A new motion filed last week by the State Attorney’s Office asks a judge [Debra Nelson] to revoke his bond for his attempted murder charge.

MIDLOTHIAN — The biker shootout at a Waco restaurant in May has evolved into a tragedy on many levels.
Not only did nine people lose their lives, but many of those who were arrested in its aftermath lost their jobs and their savings.
And for Marilyn and Rob Bucy of Midlothian, that day resulted in the loss of custody of a little girl they called their daughter. “There was never a dull moment,” Rob Bucy said. “There was a lot of energy, a lot of noise.”
It was a home filled with five children and smiles and hugs and love. Much of it was focused on the newest to the family, five-year-old Alyssa, whom the Bucys were trying to adopt from relatives in California. (more…)
