Wow, talk about affirming a solidifying public opinion.

Despite official campaign documents outlining their combined effort, Senator Ted Cruz now tries to say there was no alliance between Team Cruz and Team Kasich.

“John Kasich made the decision in his own political self interest to withdraw from Indiana and compete elsewhere. And that was a perfectly reasonable decision,” Cruz said.

[Update – Full Poll Data Added] The very first public poll of Oregon voters ( Poll pdf added ) shows Donald Trump with a substantial lead over Ted Cruz and John Kasich.
Political followers will note, Oregon was one of the states Ted Cruz said he would concede to John Kasich (New Mexico the other) if Kasich pulled out of Indiana as part of their collective Stop Trump strategy.  However, Team Kasich is now calling Cruz a liar as part of that agreement doesn’t seem to fit with their actual campaign discussions.

(Via USA Today) Three people linked to the couple whose December shooting rampage in San Bernardino left 14 people dead were arrested Thursday on conspiracy, marriage fraud and other charges.
The three include Syed Raheel Farook, the brother of Syed Rizwan Farook, who with his wife Tashfeen Malik also wounded 22 people before both died in a shootout with police.
Raheel Farook, 31, his wife Tatiana Farook, 31, and a woman named Mariya Chernynk were named in a five-count indictment issued this week by a federal grand jury. Chernykh, 26, is married to Enrique Marquez, Jr., who has been awaiting trial since December on charges of conspiring with Rizwan Farook in 2011 and 2012 to provide material support to terrorists. “Ceilings”?  Well, firstly, if there was any doubt to the motive of the wunderkinds joining forcers in their vain effort to thwart the will of the electorate, that answer is now transparent.  Candidate Trump is simply thumping them both in the polling for the Northeast States tomorrow:

Additionally interesting is some of the polling internal data which shows Senator Ted Cruz continuing to implode when the electorate is asked if they like him.  Cruz’s unfavorable rating continues to skyrocket.  (more…)

After the complete Trump New York victory, both Ted Cruz and John Kasich were mathematically eliminated from any possibility of winning through voters.  The #NeverTrump campaign shifted and rebranded itself #NeverVoters.

Last night, facing the looming probability of complete defeat on April 26th in the North East primary states of: Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland and Delaware, the Ted Cruz and John Kasich campaigns announced publicly their intents to draw their last-hope firewalls in Indiana, New Mexico and Oregon.
The most current polling of Pennsylvania looks like this:

(full pdf of results here)… and the Trump campaign has also ramped up the voter information for the unbound PA delegates (SEE HERE) turning the tide of in favor of Team Donald Trump in the Keystone State.
As a direct consequence of the growing support for candidate Trump, and with looming electoral defeat on the horizon, the Ted Cruz campaign now places all its “never voter” efforts on stopping Donald Trump from winning Indiana.  However, Donald Trump is also polling ahead of Cruz in Indiana – so the Cruz campaign approach throws a Hail-Mary.
In an effort to improve fleeting chances, Team Cruz has struck a deal with the Kasich campaign.   Team Kasich is to pull out of Indiana, and Team Cruz will give them free reign in New Mexico and Oregon. (more…)

Several years ago we first began pointing to the presidential election of 2016 as a grandly constructed enterprise of financial global entities.  Toward that end point we began to outline the strategic global players who were spending tens of millions lobbying congress for Wall Street’s global financial interests.
The conversation is vastly to expansive in scope for any reasonable encapsulation. Indeed our archives from the past four years are filled with reports and warnings about how all of the Wall Street financial interests -as they relate to the 2016 election- would ultimately boil down to global trade and commerce pacts like the Trans-Pacific Trade deal (TPP), and the Trans-Atlantic Trade deal (TTIP).

Globally, the economic wealth of massive corporate financial banks and financial institutions is dependent on the continual nudging toward the ratification of these trade pacts.  There are trillions at stake as the derivative markets are also tied to hedged bets on the outcomes.
Global trade is approximately $75 trillion annually.  However, the Wall Street derivatives market, which are essentially bets placed within this entire financial construct, now account for more than $500 trillion. (more…)

(Via Kentucky.com) […] Kentucky Republicans selected 25 delegates to the national convention on Saturday, and McConnell was one of them. He urged delegates not to give Obama a third term by electing Hillary Clinton.

But McConnell would not say who he would support at a contested convention: Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, John Kasich or someone else. Instead, he criticized Obama for going on a “regulatory rampage.” And he reiterated his vow to not confirm Obama’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, declaring: “This vacancy will not be filled by this president” while Republican delegates stood and applauded. During the Maine GOP caucus on March 5, candidate Ted Cruz came out on top with about 46 percent of the vote.  Based on the caucus result Cruz was allocated 12 delegates, leaving nine for Trump and two for John Kasich.

Maine’s Governor Paul LePage coordinated with the Cruz camp, the Trump camp and the Kasich camp to insure the state convention would provide equitable distribution of the delegates based on the caucus result.
This is called a “unity ticket”, with delegates assigned based on the results of the caucus.
However, during the state’s convention this weekend the Cruz campaign reneged on the agreement and stabbed the caucus voters in the back.  As they have in other state contests, Team Cruz manipulated the delegate selection to gain 19 of the 2o delegates.   CNN has more on the events:
