Don’t take this the wrong way because I actually like Congressman Louis Gohmert a lot. However, this sketchy all-over-the-map interview is at an almost Tippy Guam level of bizzarro. The sum total of this interview would be exhibit “A” in the sketchy trial of “methinks he doth protest too much”, the Broadway musical.
Um, Louie.. dude. Rather than shout: “he lie”, “he lie”, “heeee lieeeee”; I’m left wondering if your hands or fingers are broken. Why didn’t Louis Gohmert, a sitting member of congress, just walk over to the Senate and ask the Parliamentarian herself – if he had a question. Weird.

For want of koch nail avoidance, the war was lost. Louie, have a nice sammich and a diet Koch, then go lay down a bit…. maybe, get some sleep. (more…)
Senator Rand Paul, Mike Lee and Ted Cruz pushed the House Freedom Caucus to remain firm in opposition to President Trump.
Having successfully defeated his opposition, Senator Paul pulls out the UniParty dance music and proposes solutions that can go no-where. As you watch this, remember the House and Senate schedule spring break is next week…. Ergo Paul says “legislation should be brought up next week” blah-blah-blah.
This is a familiar UniParty ‘controlled opposition‘ trick. Go public and make the solution something you know has absolutely no chance of even being explored. Makes the abuser look great, and keeps the abused thinking their abuser is dreamy.

Once you see the strings on the Marionettes you can never go back to a time when you enjoyed the puppet show and didn’t notice them. Rand Paul is the guy running for Class President saying every student should have a convertible – who can disagree? (more…)
President Trump, Vice-President Pence and Health and Human Services Secretary, Tom Price, stood united in defeat in the Oval Office as President Trump shares his thoughts on the failure of the ObamaCare repeal/replace bill to pass the House of Representatives.
President Trump points out that any future attempt at repairing ObamaCare will necessarily include Democrats. Ultimately that means a much worse future outcome caused by the intransigent CONservative caucus today with their opposition.
President Trump thanks VP Pence, Speaker Paul Ryan and Secretary Tom Price for their united team effort toward the repeal and replace road map created by Secretary Price. President Trump also affirms his intention not to let Americans suffer as a consequence of the democrat or republican party and their inability to deliver an appropriate healthcare outcome.
Moving forward, any tax legislation will now have to keep the $1 to $2 trillion ObamaCare spending in place; ultimately meaning far less room for comprehensive tax reform. Again, the intransigent CONservative caucus just dealt a blow to tax cuts – this is “disappointing” to the Trump economic agenda and will ultimately mean lesser job growth. [TRANSCRIPT] 4:26 P.M. EDTTHE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much. We were very close, and it was a very, very tight margin. We had no Democrat support. We had no votes from the Democrats. They weren’t going to give us a single vote, so it’s a very difficult thing to do. (more…)
Intransigent crony-CONstitutional CONservatives, ie “Freedom Caucus” UniParty members, would do well to remember it wasn’t just Republicans who voted to put President Trump into office, it was also Democrats and Independents.
Those Trump voters who put President Trump into office can just as easily wipe out the crony-CONstitutional CONservatives who previously hid behind their #NeverTrump-ism.
Any vote against the ObamaCare repeal and replacement road map put forth by President Trump, Vice-President Pence, HHS Secretary Tom Price and Speaker Paul Ryan, is a direct vote against the policy agenda of President Donald Trump and his supporters.
We voted for Donald Trump because he wasn’t a political ideologue. You had the chance to run your political ideologue, Ted Cruz, as a candidate. You did, and he lost.
Now President Trump, Vice-President Pence, HHS Secretary Tom Price, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan have constructed a bill. Everyone has been allowed at the table, everyone’s input has been considered. Talk is done. Support this bill, or you are voting AGAINST President Trump. PERIOD. (more…)
President Trump, through OMB Director Mick Mulvaney, has demanded the House of Representatives vote tomorrow on the current bill for ObamaCare Repeal and Replacement. This directly calls out the UniParty structure of Washington DC.
The time for endless political talk in circles is over. Time for action. The Koch Brothers wing (House Freedom Caucus), and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce wing (Ryan/GOPe), will have to vote to support the Health and Human Services construct of Tom Price, or kill it by voting against it.
Either way they vote President Trump has delivered on his promise: an opportunity to vote for the repeal of ObamaCare.
All those who vote “NO” on the bill will own the outcome. Meaning, they support the continuance of ObamaCare and all of the subsequent outcomes therein. Get them all on record. (more…)
The House of Representatives has scheduled the repeal of ObamaCare vote tomorrow. Approximately 220 Republicans in congress people support the Trump, Pence, Price and Ryan repeal and replacement bill. Approximately 30 Republicans in congress do not support the repeal bill and have vowed to keep ObamaCare in place by voting “NO”. Have you given your opinion to your representative? Earlier today President Trump met with the House Freedom Caucus. The HFC is a group of professional electoral abusers who create battered conservative syndrome. The HFC has never passed legislation, nor have they ever taken a leadership role in politics when given every opportunity to actually lead.
Personally, I have ZERO respect for the caucus itself or any joined member who would put group intransigence above common sense. The HFC are political countermeasures.
The caucus is what’s known as the “controlled opposition“, and despite the talking points to the contrary they are funded by billionaire individual donor special interests. The heart of the Freedom Caucus political nucleus revolves around the Citizens United SCOTUS decision. Without C.U. the House Freedom Caucus collapses.
The combination of the HFC and CU is what led to multiple 2016 presidential primary candidates. The HFC are hidden corporatists. The HFC were united under the #NeverTrump campaign during the 2016 presidential election, and they worship at the altar of Mark Levin (gaslighting on their behalf), Glenn Beck and Ted Cruz. (more…)
Once political Democrat leadership recognize the only controversy created by their opposition boils down to: the friend of a second-cousin of a third-grade classmate who once lived in the same city as the opposed target hearing rumors of a mattress tag being removed, well, the autonomic trigger becomes: the opposition is Mao reincarnated as the spawn of Hitler…
For today’s example the opposition is Supreme Court nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch.
Apparently Gorsuch has outlasted the insufferable mattress tag gauntlet. Enter Chuck Schumer to strategize the next steps.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, announces today that he cannot support Gorsuch and “urges his colleagues to vote no”; where “urging colleagues” means get in line, or else. Thus setting the stage for a filibuster, well, that would be, if all 48 Democrat Senators follow the compliance demand.
Therein lies the outline of the very tenuous Democrat strategy against Gorsuch: Force Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to use the nuclear option to pass Altar Boy Gorsuch to the Supreme Court with 51 votes instead of 60. (more…)
Against the backdrop of Devin Nunes announcing jaw-dropping revelation of surveillance of President-Elect Trump and his transition team by the Obama intelligence community, most of the Democrat political leadership (Elijah Cummings included) went into immediate rapid response and emergency action mode. Simultaneously…
President Trump stomps on the political gas, targets a key and essential constituency, and strategically applies pressure with a meeting of the Congressional Black Caucus leadership.
.
Seamless. Well done. The timing just seems so unscripted. [TRANSCRIPT] 3:10 P.M. EDT – THE PRESIDENT: Well, I’m deeply honored to welcome the members of the Congressional Black Caucus to the White House. We’re going to have a lot of meetings over the years, and I very much appreciate you being here. (more…)
