Remember this moment years from now when everyone wonders why Russia has replaced the U.S. in the sphere of influence. Egyptian President Fattah el-Sisi met with King Abdullah II of Jordan during a scheduled visit to Moscow. Both President el-Sisi and King Abdullah have been blocked from visits to the White House.
EGYPT – According to Egyptian presidency spokesperson Alaa Youssef, the two Arab leaders discussed counter-terrorism strategies and acknowledged the importance of regional and international alliances in combatting threats posed by extremist and terrorist organisations in the Middle East. El-Sisi and Abdullah II also acknowledged the importance of military cooperation between their own countries and across the wider Arab world.
[…] Regarding Libya, the two leaders renewed their support to the elected Libyan government and the national Libyan army, while advocating a political solution in the country. The heads of state also agreed on the importance of supporting the Iraqi government in its efforts to achieve stability and unity in the country. (more…)
Excellent Op-ed in USA Today by Glenn Reynolds: “See something, do something” (excerpt) […] Stone was cut by the attacker behind his neck, and his thumb was nearly sliced off as the man was wrestled to the ground by the Americans. Sadler said: “The gunman pulls out a box cutter and slices Spencer a few times.” He added that the attacker “never said a word.”
To Americans who remember Sept. 11, 2001, this kind of response — even down to the “let’s go” — echoes the story of Todd Beamer and the passengers of Flight 93. It’s the right response, of course, to terrorists who threaten innocents.
As Brad Todd wrote days after 9/11, it was the response of ordinary Americans on this flight that meant a repeat of the attacks was much less likely: “Just 109 minutes after a new form of terrorism — the most deadly yet invented — came into use, it was rendered, if not obsolete, at least decidedly less effective. … United Flight 93 did not hit a building. It did not kill anyone on the ground. … Why? Because it had informed Americans on board who’d had 109 minutes to come up with a counteraction. And the next time a hijacker full of hate pulls the same stunt with a single knife, he’ll get the same treatment and meet the same result as those on United Flight 93. Dead, yes. Murderous, yes. But successful? No.” (read more)
[…] Air Force serviceman Spencer Stone, of Carmichael, California, Alek Skarlatos, a National Guardsman from Oregon, and their childhood friend, Anthony Sadler, a university senior, confronted El-Khazzani and wrestled his rifle, a handgun and nine magazines of bullets from him.
In the attack, El-Khazzani pulled out a box cutter knife, slashed Mr Stone in the neck and ‘almost cut his thumb off’ in the melee.
God put protective angels on that train. Spencer Stone (U.S. Air Force), Alek Skarlatos (U.S. National Guard), Anthony Sadler (Pittsburg, CA) and Chris Norman (British Businessman).
Amazing heroism… U.S. Air Force Spencer Stone charged a terrorist with a fully loaded AK-47, tackled him and suffered a severe cut to the back of the neck. All of them are heroes. The terrorist, named in reports as Ayoub el-Qahzzani, had at least nine full magazines of ammunition holding almost 300 rounds.
FRANCE – A US solider who foiled a terrorist attack on a French-bound train was knifed in the neck while disarming the crazed gunman.
Spencer Stone (circled above), who is part of the U.S. Air Force, spotted the 26-year-old Moroccan acting suspiciously and heard him trying to arm his weapon in the toilet of the high speed train between Amsterdam and Paris. (more…)
The event took place near the Syria Turkey border.

[…] “Through binoculars the soldiers could see that the crowd were terrified and many were in tears.”
A man and a young boy were dragged out in front of the crowd and were made to kneel down.
“They were both wearing blindfolds and looked terrified.
“A tall bearded man emerged and drew a long knife. (more…)
Before anyone would think this as some altruistic endeavor concerned about the safety of the Jewish State, I would direct your attention to:
…”A White House official suggested Thursday that Schumer’s announcement of opposition came only after enough Democratic support was assured to keep the plan intact”…
Schumer is, after all, the most transparent weasel amid the nest of DC weasels. (Apologies to the weasel species)
(Via CNN) New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, an influential Jewish Democrat who’s poised to assume leadership of his party in the Senate, will oppose President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, he announced on Thursday evening.
“After deep study, careful thought and considerable soul-searching, I have decided I must oppose the agreement and will vote yes on a motion of disapproval,” Schumer wrote in a 1,600-word post on the website Medium.
“I will vote to disapprove the agreement, not because I believe war is a viable or desirable option, nor to challenge the path of diplomacy,” he added later. “It is because I believe Iran will not change, and under this agreement it will be able to achieve its dual goals of eliminating sanctions while ultimately retaining its nuclear and non-nuclear power.” (more…)
We received a copy of a July FBI alert two weeks ago. However, out of an abundance of caution, and after careful review of the content, and after reading articles discussing the alert itself, we decided -out of an abundance of caution- not to promote the warning.
However, the information within the alert itself is now gaining additional dissemination; the cat’s ‘out of the bag’ so-to-speak. With that in mind here’s an article about it, along with the actual alert itself (pdf format).
WASHINGTON DC – It was not meant for public disclosure but a news outlet got ahold of a chilling Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) alert warning U.S. military families that they are being watched and confronted by Middle Eastern men.
The cryptic FBI memo was issued to law enforcement agencies in Colorado and Wyoming and says that Middle Eastern men are approaching families of U.S. military members at their homes in both states, specifically in Greeley and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
The Middle Eastern men have also tried to gain personal information about military members and their families through intimidation, according to the FBI bulletin, which reveals that the victims reported feeling scared. (more…)
Well this adds a new twist to the Democrat platform of transparency. For ObamaCare congress was told “you have to pass the bill to find out what is in the bill”.
Now, however, it appears the Democrat position has evolved.
For Iran: ‘you have to approve the Iranian Nuclear Deal, and you’ll never find out what’s in the deal you are approving’.
WASHINGTON DC – The only Obama administration official to view confidential “side deals” between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) admitted Wednesday she and her team have only seen rough drafts.
“I didn’t see the final documents. I saw the provisional documents, as did my experts,” said Wendy Sherman, a lead U.S. negotiator for the deal, said Wednesday at a Senate Banking Committee hearing.
Sherman, under secretary of State for political affairs, said she was only allowed to see the confidential deals “in the middle of the negotiation” when the IAEA “wanted to go over with some of our experts the technical details.” (more…)
