On August 8, 2022, the FBI conducted a raid on President Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago. Tonight, Sean Hannity invited President Trump on to his television show so the former President could listen to him talk about it. WATCH:

President Trump also discussed the New York AG civil lawsuit against him and his family.
“Hoffman Estates” is a Chicago area location containing an abandoned furniture store and warehouse. The Obama Foundation leased, then re-upped the lease, to use the facility to store all the paper documents from the Obama administration {Location Link}.
The Obama administration told the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) they were going to upload the documents into a digital form for use in the Obama library. The paper documents were, still are, held at the Hoffman Estate warehouse while this digitization process took place. It should be noted, the Obama Foundation has never digitized the records, hence they renewed the warehouse lease.
Contrast against the DOJ-NSD legal position about classified records held in the secure facility of Mar-a-Lago, a 2018 letter {Obama.org pdf here} from the Obama Foundation to the NARA is an example of the two-tiered selective justice system. Within the 2018 letter the Obama team admit to storing both “classified and unclassified” documents at the warehouse: [Page #2, bullet-point 7]
Obviously, there were no raids on Hoffman Estates from the FBI to secure the classified documents. Nor did the DOJ National Security Division trigger a criminal investigation of President Obama for holding documents, particularly classified documents, against the interests of the NARA while they “digitized them;” a process, which again should be noted, never even began.
The intent of sharing this information is just to highlight the political dynamic within the NARA, DOJ and FBI as it pertains to selective enforcement of presidential records.
In this lengthy interview with John Ratcliffe and Maria Bartiromo, the former Director of National Intelligence, the man who has likely seen every document that may have eventually ended up in Mar-a-Lago, is challenging the nature of the classified status of those documents. Ratcliffe does not believe the Mar-a-Lago documents are true national security documents, but rather documents that outline fraudulent ‘sources and methods’ used by the DOJ/FBI in their Trump targeting operation.
Keep in mind that as the DNI during 2020, Ratcliffe saw the documents that eventually became the material President Trump declassified and left with the DOJ to release after the Durham investigation was complete. If Ratcliffe’s suspicions are correct, and there is more valid reason to support his suspicions than oppose them, then the entire construct of the DOJ-NSD operation to retrieve those documents from Mar-a-Lago is factually one big cover-up operation.
Ratcliffe suspects the documents are essentially the DOJ and FBI work products, including interviews with ‘sources’ like Igor Danchenko, from their fabricated case against President Trump. If accurate, the objective of the DOJ/FBI would be to avoid sunlight on their political targeting operation. This viewpoint makes sense when you consider the DOJ/FBI position that no one should ever be allowed to look at those documents, including the appointed Special Master in the case, Judge Raymond Dearie. “Gaslighting” is essentially a term used to describe an abuser continually lying to victim in order to make the victim misbelieve reality.
Economic “gaslighting” is a process of lying about the nature of true cause in order to continue advancing the abusive policy.
Combine the economic gaslighting with the historic leftist approach of pretending not to know things, and you get this dynamic on CBS Face the Nation today. In this brief segment describing inflation, we see all the classic strategies deployed by ideological media.
First, notice they blame: (1) the pandemic recovery, (2) consumer demand, (3) Ukraine, and (4) a supply chain ‘muddle’. Not only are these issues ridiculous, but none of them are the cause of supply side inflation. Blaming “consumer demand,” which has transparently collapsed for the last year, is beyond nonsense. WATCH, and also pay attention to the graphics they use to manipulate the audience:
The true cause of inflation, and yes that includes ‘global inflation‘, is the collective western economy jump into climate change energy policy known as “build back better.” Stopping the use of oil, gas and coal as the source for cheap energy, has resulted in every element of the inflation they outline.
As an outcome of their ideology, the central banks of the western economies are now trying desperately to lower economic activity to reduce energy consumption. The goal is to lower human activity to the point where windmills and solar farms can sustain it. Everything else is pretending.
That $200 million is not only a staggering amount far beyond the need for his virtually certain governor’s victory, but also the largest amount of campaign money ever assembled by a governor in the history of politics {citation}. Meg Whitman, California ($176 million), and Jay Pritzker, Illinois ($176 million), were both multi-millionaires and funded the majority of their war chest. Almost all (96%) of DeSantis’ money is coming from multinational corporations, hedge funds, Wall Street firms and billionaires {citation}.
For those who are unfamiliar with the strategies of political funding, there is a timing that also highlights the intent. A conspicuously aligned timing that coincides with the Trump raid on Mar-a-Lago. Campaign finance reports are required and filled out quarterly. DeSantis had a massive war chest assembled through August 5th.
That finance revelation was immediately before the August 8th raid, before the week in the bunker, and before DeSantis reemerged August 14th with a new national branding team and communication change.
DeSantis took in even more billionaire donor checks with the national kick-off.
Everybody familiar with politics knows what that level of preparation and strategy means. DeSantis wasn’t amassing money of that scale, and simultaneously launching a new national branding campaign, for a state reelection bid. He was/is preparing for a 2024 presidential run. The only question was whether DeSantis had direct knowledge of the August 8th raid on Trump in advance, or whether he was just told not to ask questions and follow the advice of his new GOPe team. The latter is more likely.
Late yesterday the DOJ National Security Division (DOJ-NSD) filed another motion in federal court urging Judge Cannon not to allow the special master to review documents they alone determine to be “classified.” [pdf of motion Here]
The DOJ-NSD, officially the Trump targeting division, is frantic that an outside reviewer would be granted access to oversee the DOJ/IC unilateral determinations of the documents, even if…. [watch the goal posts moving now]… those documents were previously declassified by President Trump.
Yes, even if the documents were declassified (they were), the DOJ is apoplectic that someone would be allowed to see them. Their reason?… “sources and methods” might be exposed.
The DOJ-NSD is claiming the Intelligence Community (IC) is the real authority here, not the President of the United States. It is a rather remarkable position to take.
You might even find yourself wondering by what constitutional authority does anyone in the IC bureaucracy determine whether a president’s declassification of documents was legit? The President has the power to declassify; however, according to the position of the DOJ-NSD, the president must defer to them. :::spit::: Hopefully Judge Cannon sees this for what it is.
The internecine angle to the intra-party political and financial conflicts come via Politico, so apply that prism accordingly. However, the overarching background of the story (as presented) does align with the internal party power conflict we all know about.
According to the outline, Mitch McConnell has withdrawn spending of the Senate PAC funds from MAGA senate candidates. McConnell is telling his senators who are more favorably aligned with President Trump, to push the Trump PAC to spend more on them if Trump wants to see them win in 2022.
President Trump has, and continues to, support all of the MAGA candidates with direct funding [See FEC Filing], campaign rallies [LINK], and major big donor fundraisers [LINK], including at least one example of excessive funds distributed [LINK]. However, whenever anything involves McConnell, particularly when it involves money, it is critical to apply a Machiavellian prism to McConnell’s DeceptiCon motives.
By now everyone should know Senator McConnell holds no fundamental interest in being in the majority. Nothing in his power structure changes if Democrats are in the majority. From McConnell and the club approach, the “control of the senate” argument is a fundraising gimmick. Give the DeceptiCons control of the senate and nothing structurally changes in the policy or legislative sphere. Reference the 2014 to 2020 GOPe control, anti-Trump resistance, budgets and support for Obamacare, as examples of the last time the GOPe had senate majorities.
Absent of any real motivation to gain a republican majority in the senate, illusions and pretenses dropped, the “battle for control of the senate” simply comes down to a strategy of what is best to support Big Corps, and downstream fundraising. However, the fundraising angle does afford Mitch the opportunity to leverage more power and eliminate influence.
