Via Thomas Lifson at American Thinker – Donald Trump has laid out the bare bones of a deportation plan that has an excellent chance of working well. The caricatures presented by his critics overlook the clever incentives he apparently is building into it.
The reaction has been as negative as the reaction to his initial contention, when he announced his candidacy, that rapists and criminals are streaming across the border. That was twisted into a false claim that he was thus characterizing all people coming across the border, earning him accusations of racism and worse. Yet the string of disgusting crimes at the hands of illegals, who would have been deported but for sanctuary city policies, has made his point, and the surge in his popularity has shown that demonization by media and political elites has backfired.
Something quite similar may well happen with his deportation proposal.  (read more)

NORTH CAROLINA – Trump’s 8 point gain gives him the biggest momentum in the state over the last month. The other two candidates with upward momentum are Carson and Cruz. Carson’s gone from 9% to 14% as people’s first choice. […] Cruz has gone from 6% a month ago to his 10% standing now.

The losers in North Carolina over the last month are Walker, Huckabee, Paul, and Christie. Walker’s dropped 6 points from 12% last month to now 6%. His 51% favorability rating remains unchanged, but voters just seem to be finding others of their options to be more compelling. (more…)

Zain Endeavors was registered 11 days before Abedin left her post as Clinton’s deputy chief of staff to work instead as a consultant for the State Department, the Clinton Foundation and Teneo, a consulting firm with deep ties to the Clintons.

A CNN review of public records shows that Zain Endeavors shares Abedin’s home address. And it also shares a name with Abedin’s son, Jordan Zain Weiner, suggesting the company could have been registered for her. Zain Endeavors LLC is registered with the New York Department of State. (more…)
