IOWA – […]  Three Cedar Rapids men and a woman were arrested and each had an initial appearance in U.S. District Court Tuesday. They each face two charges of delivering a package or container to a common carrier without knowledge that it contains firearms and ammunition and conspiracy.

The defendants are: Ali Herz, 50; his brother, Bassem Herz, 29; his son, Adam Herz, 22; and Sarah Zeaiter, 24, the spouse of Bassem Herz. All told U.S. District Chief Judge Linda Reade they were U.S. citizens, except Zeaiter – she was born in Lebanon. Reade also said Zeaiter was unemployed, a “student” and had no assets, according to her financial affidavit for a public defender. Her co-defendants also appeared with public defenders. (more…)

Of course most of those arrested were from husband Nick Mosby’s council district; but, meh, who’s paying attention to those pesky details.

[…]  The Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office tells WJZ prosecutors are dropping all charges against individuals arrested solely for curfew violations. They say those arrests were punishment enough. (link)

Marilyn Mosby asserted in her probable cause statement the Medical Examiner conclusion that Freddie Gray’s “fatal injury” occurred “inside the Baltimore Police transport van”.  An assertion also evident today in a New York Times report:

[…]  The medical examiner has concluded that Mr. Gray’s fatal neck injury occurred in the van, according to a person with knowledge of the investigation (link)

Numerous national network broadcasts have focused on the transport van, including some networks doing re-enactments based on similar transport vans.  However, what each media outlet has missed, is the factual layout of the specific van used in the 4/12/15 event.
We recently re-focused attention on this aspect when it was noted the transport is actually a 3 compartment van, NOT a two compartment van that most of the media focuses upon.

The DOJ filed their admission motion at midnight (Friday) in an attempt to hide the substance from media scrutiny

In November of 2014 when President Obama made his announcement of a sweeping “Immigration Executive Order”, his proposals included more than just deferred amnesty for illegal aliens, his proposal included “work authorization”.
Because the Presidential decree went beyond mere prosecutorial discretion regarding deportation of illegal aliens, the Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) quickly modified the verbiage of the decree from “executive order” to “executive action”.

The executive action went beyond deportation discretion and included granting work authorization. That specific aspect is what immediately became the poison pill within the Obama action.
If all Obama was doing is “not deporting” people, ergo he’s using his executive authority of prosecutorial discretion, and that’s the claim of those who say this is constitutional; well, how or what part of ‘non-deportation’ includes granting “work/employment authorization”?
That specific aspect is where President Obama overreached and initiated an unconstitutional change in labor/employment law. That action clearly violated the separation of powers. That aspect is what also initiated a Federal Judge in Texas to issue an injunction to block implementation. (more…)

There’s an odd dynamic to the Washington Post report that Attorney General Loretta Lynch is set to “launch federal investigation of Baltimore police” using the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) office for a “pattern or practice” investigation.
Odd because, the DOJ COPS office investigation, run by Ronald L. Davis (Director of the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services), was already launched last October, 2014.

DETAILS – Yesterday the Washington Post reported:

Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch has decided to launch a federal investigation into whether the Baltimore Police Department has engaged in a “pattern or practice” of excessive force.  (link)

However, last October 20th COPS announced:

The scope of the work announced today will include an assessment of policies, training, and operations as they relate to use of force and interactions with citizens, taking into account national standards, best practices, current and emerging research, and community expectations.

Least surprising announcement ever…

WASHINGTON DC – Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch has decided to launch a federal investigation into whether the Baltimore Police Department has engaged in a “pattern or practice” of excessive force.

Lynch’s announcement about the Justice Department’s probe — the latest in a string of municipalities that are being investigated by the federal government for civil rights violations — could come as early as Friday, according to two law enforcement officials.
A Justice Department spokeswoman declined to comment Thursday night. (more…)

In our previous research outlines we have shown how State Attorney Marilyn Mosby manipulated her life story to gain election success and then specifically advanced her intention to seek justice for Freddie Gray “by any means necessary“.
She and she alone created the determination for charges via ‘direct action’.  No consultation with anyone except her inner circle, her husband and a closed staff of activist sycophants.


Toward that end we initially identified six false bricks, specific aspects of her intent, SA Mosby laid upon a foundation she is building – cemented entirely with an activist agenda.
Brick seven was the false presentation of the Knife being legal; it wasn’t.  Brick eight was the claim that no aid was rendered; it was.  Brick nine was the claim of an unjustifiable stop and frisk; it was entirely justified, as yesterday’s EXPLOSIVE new video showed.

NERO FIGHTS BACK !

BALTIMORE – (AP) — One of the Baltimore police officers who arrested Freddie Gray wants the police department and prosecutor to produce a knife that was the reason for the arrest, saying in court papers that it is an illegal weapon.
The city’s top prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby, said Friday in charging the officer and five others that the knife was legal under Maryland law, meaning they had arrested Gray illegally.

The motion was filed Monday by attorneys for Officer Edward Nero in Baltimore District Court.
Nero is charged with second-degree assault, misconduct in office and false imprisonment — charges that can only be proven if Gray was wrongly arrested, said Andy Alperstein, a Baltimore attorney who has represented police officers but is not involved in the Gray case. If the knife was illegal, “there is no case” against Nero and another officer, he said.

Obviously AG Lynch has a vested interest in this case.  It would be embarrassing to the administration, to the AG, and to the larger professional grievance community, if a poorly constructed case -built with a racially embedded narrative- were to be exposed to sunlight.
Not only is the case based on activism and agenda, but the likelihood of the case falling apart has increased exponentially over the past 72 hours.

Lynch’s visit is her first venture out of Washington since taking office last week. She was accompanied by Vanita Gupta, head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, which is leading the federal probe; and Ronald Davis, director of Justice’s Community Oriented Policing Services office.
The attorney general met privately with Gray’s family at the University of Baltimore where congressional leaders also huddled with Lynch.
