FACTS:  ♦ From age 2 to age 14 Trayvon never even lived with Sybrina “Ms Candy” Fulton, he lived with step-mom Alicia Stanley.  ♦ After hearing of Trayvon’s death in the Orlando suburb, Sybrina Fulton never left Miami Gardens.  ♦ Sybrina Fulton’s first appearance in Orlando/Sanford was for a press conference with civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump. 

♦ Trayvon was not living with Sybrina when he left Miami -via bus- to spend weekend in Orlando with Dad, Tracy “Fruit” Martin – he was living with his uncle.  ♦ And Trayvon Martin was part of an informal (hidden from public) criminal diversionary program set up by M-DSPD police Chief Hurley and Miami-Dade School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho.  ♦ Trayvon was on his third 10-day school suspension, for burglary and drug possession.  ♦ Sybrina Fulton barely knew Trayvon Martin.

But they won’t let the facts get in the way of a good grievance scheme.

(Via Raw Story) Speaking before a packed house in Greensboro, N.C. the mother of slain teen Trayvon Martin spoke of dealing with the death of her son, saying the worst day of her life was not the day she learned he had been killed, but “The day I had to bury my son.”

According to the News-Record, Sybrina Fulton spoke about how she felt after losing her son when he was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida in 2012. A jury later found Zimmerman not guilty of second-degree murder. […]

Speaking of Michael Brown, the unarmed teenager shot and killed in Ferguson, Missouri by police officer Darren Wilson, Fulton said, “Black lives do matter. Not exactly sure why this was announced and presented today other than to put to rest the insufferable lies within the U-VA rape case which drew massive attention after the Rolling Stone article which choose not to fact check the story prior to selling it.

Charlottesville Police Chief Longo is arguably one of the most precariously proficient PC edge-walkers within law enforcement. He’s been the face of several high profile Charlottesville investigations including the Hannah Graham murder. Most recently Longo has been walking the PC tightrope in the U-VA student Martese Johnson nonsense.

However, today he had the dubious task of telling the world the U-VA rape case was a total hoax, a fraud, an intentionally constructed series of lies by a pathologically unstable female nutter.

Of course Longo couldn’t exactly say it that way (though at times it appeared to leak out) after all, we are talking about Northern Virginia – and the grand proximity to the liberal epicenter that is Washington DC and Marylandistan.

Somehow Longo -once again- successfully found a way to tap dance through the minefield of delicate liberal sensibilities and avoid the media pitfalls of calling a liberal liar a, well, liar. The non-victim -victim- was perhaps just misspeaking, probably – or something. (more…)

Oh, they’ll try to find some PC touchy-feely way to save face, but the reality it their business model was moments away from financial implosion. This comes as a surprise decision to, well, no-one. The reversal is effective “immediately”.

(AP) – According to a recently released internal memo, Starbucks baristas will no longer write “Race Together” on customers’ cups starting Sunday.

Starbucks spokesman Jim Olson says the campaign to create discussion on diversity and racial inequality will continue without the handwritten messages, which are phasing out as originally planned.

The memo from CEO Howard Schultz says the cups were always “just the catalyst” for a broader conversation and the company will still hold forum discussions, co-produce special sections in USA TODAY and put more stores in minority communities as part of the Race Together initiative. (more…)

(Via Fox News) A federal judge sharply scolded a Justice Department attorney at a hearing on President Obama’s immigration executive actions, suggesting that the administration misled him on a key part of the program — and that he fell for it, “like an idiot.”

The testy court hearing was held Thursday in Texas by U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen. The judge suggested he could order sanctions against the administration if he finds they indeed misrepresented the facts.

At issue is whether the DOJ misled the judge into believing that a plank of the Obama program — giving deportation reprieves to thousands of young illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children — would not go forward before he made a ruling on a request to halt it. In fact, federal officials had given more than 108,000 people three-year reprieves before that date and granted them work permits under the program.

Obama’s executive actions would spare from deportation as many as 5 million people who are in the U.S. illegally. Many Republicans oppose the actions, saying only Congress has the right to take such sweeping action. Twenty-six states led by Texas joined together to challenge them as unconstitutional. Hanen on Feb. 16 sided with the states, issuing a preliminary injunction blocking Obama’s actions. (more…)

It has been said by those on the left that ridicule is a potent political weapon.

If that be a true intention or motive -and if that were the desire of the opposite political forces- the behavior of the U-VA students today could only be called ‘teeing themselves up’ for it.

Even the Washington Post, not exactly a right-minded media outlet, has trouble not injecting a pointed amount of ridicule (via humor) into their outline of today’s events.

The WaPo outlines a U-VA session today where students were invited to question local and state law enforcement about the arrest of Martese Johnson.

Don’t laugh too loud when you look at the poster of the students walking into the meeting and realize they must be psychic or something:

(Via Daily Caller) U.S. Sens. Chuck Grassley and Thom Tillis have confirmed that a 19-year-old gang member accused of murdering four people, including a former reality TV model, was granted amnesty in 2013 even though he was slated for removal because of a 2012 drug possession charge.

Emmanuel Jesus Rangel-Hernandez is the suspect in question. One of the four people he is accused of murdering in drug-related killings in Charlotte, N.C. last month is “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Mirjana Puhar.

Another man, 20-year-old David Ezequel Lopez, was arrested on Thursday in connection with the reality show star’s murder.
