If the admitted culprit was a white male it’s doubtful there would be any reluctance. The media would normally be tearing the university administration apart based on tips from the same students who exposed the prankster.  Earlier:

(Via CNS News) An undergraduate student at Duke University admitted to hanging a noose in a tree and has left campus while disciplinary actions are considered, university officials said Thursday.

School spokesman Michael Schoenfeld said at a news conference that the school would not release the name of the student who admitted to hanging the noose, found early Wednesday in a plaza at the heart of the campus. The person is still enrolled at Duke, but faces student conduct and law enforcement investigations.

The student was identified with information provided by other students and will be subject to Duke’s student conduct process, Schoenfeld said. An investigation is continuing to find out if others were involved.

School officials believe federal education laws protecting information about students and their grades prevent the school from describing the culprit’s gender, race or whether the student had been in trouble in the past, Schoenfeld said. (more…)

1.) Jeffrey Williams was caught on video in a fight outside the police station. 2.) Williams’ car was recorded driving to the location where the shots were fired 27 seconds before gunfire erupted. 3.) Prior to his arrest Jeffrey Williams gave details of how he carried out the shooting during a recorded admission to a police informant. 4.) The police found the gun with him during the arrest.

And now – Jeffrey Williams has admitted his guilt during a recorded statement at the jail.

Saint Louis […] KMOV-TV first obtained audio of several of Williams’ phone conversations from at the St. Louis County Justice Center. St. Louis County Justice Services Director Herbert Bernsen confirmed the audio is from calls made by Williams and provided The Associated Press with the sound files.

It wasn’t clear to whom Williams was speaking. In one call, Williams said he was having trouble with a group of people, prompting an exchange of gunfire.

“Nobody aiming at no police,” Williams says. “I ran up the hill and he (an unidentified person) shot at the car. … I shot back,” Williams said.

In another conversation, Williams expressed concern about a possible lengthy prison sentence. (more…)

The story of Anthony Stokes didn’t start the day he died after crashing a stolen car into a pedestrian and sign post.

Nor did his story start moments earlier when he kicked down the door of an elderly Roswell Georgia woman and shot at her as she sat on the couch during his home invasion.

The public story of Anthony Stokes actually began a few years prior, in 2013, when he was diagnosed with an enlarged heart, a terminal condition if he did not receive a heart transplant.

He became a public story because Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston informed his family he would not be a candidate for transplant because of his past behavior:

“the decision was made that Anthony is currently not a transplant candidate due to having a history of non-compliance, which is one of our center’s contraindications to listing for heart transplant.”

“Non-compliance” a relatively disingenuous term without further definition; and in the case of Anthony Stokes a definition fraught with considerations for the most politically correct delivery.

The refusal of the hospital to place Stokes on the transplant list drew the ire of his family, who, quickly enlisted the aid of the grievance marketers within the media.

“They just don’t want to give him a chance,” Anthony’s mother, Melencia Hamilton, told Channel 2.

UPDATE: The moonbattery has metastasized into a supernova of hatred. The intolerant leftists have shut down the mom and pop pizzeria with phone attacks and an on-line onslaught similar to Chick-Fil-A in 2012. Only this time the business is not a corporation it’s a family restaurant without the corporate resources.

A GoFundMe Fundraising Account has been set up to assist the “Memories Pizza” owners offset the damage to their business.
