The headline reflects the moment my previous support for Ted Cruz (2011/2012), which evolved to concern about Senator Ted Cruz (2013/2014), turned to admitting Ted Cruz was a phoney.

The date was Saturday, July 19th, 2014 – I remember it vividly because I noted in my journal “last straw in providing Cruz any benefit of doubt – done“.

The week leading up to that weekend DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson appeared before an emergency congressional committee and stated he needed $4,000,000,000 (billion) in emergency appropriations to deal with the enormous “humanitarian crisis at the border“.

We knew that claim was fake because we had been tracking border apprehension reports and comparing them to the expressed narrative from the White House.

There wasn’t a mass influx of unaccompanied alien children (UAC’s), there was a predictable and intentionally constructed swarm of illegal alien “families“. (more…)

Unlike the chatter amid most of the professional punditry we don’t view the Ted Cruz -v- Donald Trump debate confrontation as the most consequential part of the GOP debate in South Carolina.   The exchange between Donald Trump and Jeb Bush regarding China and trade economics was actually the most revealing.

Donald Trump pointed out because of the size of our market we have tremendous leverage on China; leverage we have failed to use for the past three decades.

For the sake of brevity, I’m going to accept that most readers here are familiar with who is funding and directing Jeb Bush, and in larger, more consequential measures, the DC apparatchik in charge of U.S. Policy, ie. Wall street.

In retort to Trump pointing out a necessary shift in trade position (a shift to put American interests first – a shift to stop the dependency on cheap import goods – a shift to use China’s dependency on access to our market to OUR advantage) Jeb Bush came back with an example of Boeing manufacturing. Overview thoughts.  The auditorium venue was absolutely structured with GOPe types.  Support for Jeb Bush, and Marco Rubio was far more evident than exists in a general republican population.  Party insiders within South Carolina, including Nikki Haley, obviously influenced who was within the participating audience.

There was an earlier South Carolina delegate meeting/convention prior to the debate.  Insider sources on social media indicate most of the official South Carolina Republican Party delegates are pro-Rubio; many believe this is by specific GOPe design.

That explains the audience responses to both Jeb Bush an Marco Rubio.

Simultaneously, this same group (audience participating) understands the best way to eliminate Trump is to use Ted Cruz to attack him.   And Ted Cruz fell for it hook, line and sinker; just like the useful, and willing, idiot he is.

What we are witnessing is the moment when what the opposition wants, runs into the reality of what is going to happen.   Candidate Donald Trump is going to win the GOP nomination, and with it – The White House.

All of Trump’s political opponents, ideological opponents, and transparently visible media opponents are, at various points in the next several weeks, going to have to admit the obvious – We, and he, have beaten them.

A Tale of Two Shiftys’

There is a bigger controversy about to break wide-open that’s potentially far more significant than Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell approving Nikki Haley’s non-subtle attack on GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.  That bigger controversy is the Spanish version of the GOP State of the Union rebuttal containing an “amnesty pledge“.

As this is written, Governor Nikki Haley is trying to get out ahead of the building expose’.  Haley just gave a DC press conference claiming she does not support “amnesty”; however, against her earlier admission of Speaker Ryan and Leader McConnell approving her script – the Spanish version must have held similar approvals.

Governor Haley gave the English version, Miami Representative and party-insider Mario Diaz-Barlat delivered it in Spanish.  Here’s a (paragraph by paragraph) comparison as translated by the Miami Herald (emphasis mine):

Republican Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, and Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, personally selected South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley to deliver the State of The Union rebuttal/attack on GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.   Ryan and McConnell also personally approved the script.

Donald Trump is the leading GOP presidential candidate, and has been in the lead for over six months; he is supported by the majority of the party base.   Ryan, McConnell and Haley are attacking their own electorate. Forget the nonsense from President Obama’s State of The Union diatribe of same/same left-wing nonsense cloaked in claims of incivility from his opposition.  Forget that nonsense, it was predictable. Most of the electorate were more interested in whether the DC Republicans had received the message within a six-month-leading Donald Trump candidacy.

And…. the answer is a resounding NO !

There is only one party in DC and that is the UniParty run by Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.  There’s not a hairs difference between them, and Nikki Haley just affirmed the GOPe commitment in that regard.

Oh My…  Cold Anger Consequences – It appears Macy’s decision to attack Donald Trump in July 2015 has left them in a very compromised position.  Macy’s has dropped their 2016 earnings forecast an additional 12%.  This is on top of the forecast drop from last November…

(Via LA Times) After a disappointing holiday season, Macy’s Inc. said Wednesday that it planned to cut about 4,800 jobs and close 40 stores as part of efforts to slash costs.

The department store chain, which is closely associated with the holiday season, said comparable sales for November and December 2015 dropped 4.7% compared with the previous year.   […]  Terry J. Lundgren, Macy’s chief executive, described the holiday season as “challenging.” (more…)

The cycle of abuse is:  “Tensions building”, then the “abusive action” then a “period of reconciliation and apology”, followed by a period of “peace and calm”. Then the tensions begin building again…..   Wash, rinse, repeat.

As the years inside the cycle of abuse continue, the abused look forward to the space between the beatings -and- simultaneously learn how to exit the beating phase as quickly as possible.

Yesterday our GOPe abusers entered the “reconciliation and apology” phase.  Cue the Paul Ryan Video:

If you have spent any significant amount of time here, you’ll note something brutally obvious.  Everything Speaker Paul Ryan is saying the GOPe are doing now, ie. “repeal ObamaCare” and “defunding Planned Parenthood” and “actually putting something on Obama’s desk”….. is something they could have done at any time throughout 2015.

We try not to underestimate Donald Trump any longer.  In the beginning of this campaign we thought no candidate could thoroughly comprehend the tentacles of the Machiavellian schemes as well those who research these endeavors 24/7/365.

However, we are continually amazed at how The Donald not only understands the constructs, but has an insight to fire subtle shots in their direction that only those who are immersed in politics can see.   Not trying to give him too much credit, but damn, the man represents the smartest republican political strategist in our lifetime – and he’s also the flippin’ candidate.

Yesterday in Mississippi Donald Trump showed another of those intensely sharp insights.

It’s subtle, but when you are in the wave-length of understanding, it’s subtle like a brick through a window.

Donald Trump had a massive crowd of more than 20,000 supporters show up last night;  and most of the national legacy political punditry missed the back story of what makes this campaign rally so significant.   (more…)
