The signs have been visible for a long time; you just need to pull back from the media noise to see them. {GO DEEP} This announcement does not come as a surprise to us.
You might remember that both the U.S and Russia spoke of strategic partnerships surrounding the energy sector. Obviously, this makes sense when we consider the “west” is actually fractured on the topic of energy. There are two competing interests that overlap in the financial side of the issue, the ‘trillions at stake’ aspect. (read more)
I cannot explain this to people who are infected with TDS, but the essential summary of what was likely to happen was written 3 weeks ago – SEE HERE. President Trump is purchasing Russian diesel directly from the wholesaler, Vladimir Putin. The purchase is from now until April 1st, 2027. Trump is buying diesel at a discount, not market prices.
[SOURCE]
(VIA TRUTH SOCIAL) – “I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter.
Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST!
Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority. This is a very big and important announcement. Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon! Thank you for your attention to this matter.” President DONALD J. TRUMP
On one side you have the “climate change” team, those who are fully invested (literally) in the financial mechanisms of the climate change, green new deal, build back better talking points. The Green Energy team in the west. The Paris Climate Treaty and carbon-trading proponents et al.
On the other side you have the pragmatic energy team in the west. These are the Trump-minded and aligned western perspectives that look at oil, natural gas (LNG), clean coal and nuclear technology. These are the “all the above” aligned voices in the more pragmatic view of low-cost energy production and development.
In the middle, between both sides of the fracture, are the banking and finance systems. This is the BIG MONEY play, with the Climate Change team supported by banking ideology inside the city of London, while the Carbon Use team is constantly having to assemble finance and insurance from outside the banking control mechanisms.
The Climate Change team have support based on ideology within the finance system. However, the Carbon Use team have the advantage of low-price outputs, global dependency and actual profits as leverage. This is a fight essentially inside the larger energy sector, and we are all very familiar with it because it has been happening for decades.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is currently the main tool deployed by the Climate Change team on behalf of the London finance system. Carney’s main opponent is U.S. President Donald Trump.
(VIA CNBC) – President Donald Trump said Friday that Russia will supply more than 4 million tons of diesel to the global market under a deal he struck with President Vladimir Putin during a phone call.
Russia will immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel, followed by 500,000 tons in November, and 1 million tons immediately thereafter, Trump said in a post on Truth Social. Moscow will then deliver another 3 million tons of diesel based on the condition of Russia’s refineries, Trump said.
The Treasury Department temporarily waived sanctions on Russian diesel through April 2027 under a general license issued Friday.
Diesel prices have surged around the world as Ukraine has pounded Russian refineries, forcing Moscow to ban diesel exports to the global market. Iran and its Houthi allies have also attacked refineries in the Middle East, further constraining fuel supplies.
Trump is under growing political pressure to take action to reduce fuel prices ahead of the November midterm elections. Republicans are facing competitive elections in conservative strongholds like Iowa where farmers are feeling the pinch from high diesel prices.
But the president has few options to reduce prices given the destruction done to global refining capacity by the wars in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Trump flirted with a diesel export ban last month but ultimately relented after the oil industry and big business warned a ban would just raise gasoline prices.
The president issued an executive order earlier this week that allows truckers to use tax-exempt offroad diesel on highways without worrying about federal penalties. But the order only defers the tax obligation, creating confusion about whether truckers may have to pay up at some point. (read more)
Notice it’s diesel specifically for the USA market.
Here’s the big picture. I outlined this likelihood on September 22nd:
Behind that curtain are the traders, speculators, ideological banks and financial systems who create the finance system for the energy market. Want to stop oil exploitation, change the lending requirements to favor windmills and solar panels etc. Not coincidentally changing these lending rules and regulations was Mark Carney’s former job. Does that sound like an open market approach?
Thus, when you really understand how this pricing is structured you begin to realize the price of diesel has nothing to do with the supply of it and the price is more controlled by those who wish to generate financial -or political- outcomes from it.
You don’t have to take my word for it, review the words of the world’s largest oil/gas producer about this rigged game. {SEE HERE} Wouldn’t Vladimir Putin be the subject matter expert?
“How, in fact, is the price of gas formed on the European exchanges? It is not determined by producers, but by exchange traders.”
In essence, right now “the west”, specifically Americans, are paying fuel costs based on market commodity prices. The most recent examples are oil, LNG and now the headline leading, diesel fuel. However, the actual supply of diesel fuel is not driving the price. The price is being driven by speculation and trading, which is based on arbitrary price formulas created by western multinational corporations and financial markets.
Right now, Russia is overproducing diesel fuel, and shipping it out of the country to allies. Yet diesel prices in the west are determined by commodity traders, and the pricing mechanism is disconnected from the supply. {SEE HERE}
This is why Secretary Bessent essentially said yesterday, he was “evaluating” calls for a U.S. export ban on diesel. Bessent knows it makes no sense to halt U.S. exports of diesel fuel, because (a) the US has no ability to store it, and (b) if we produce more than we can store, that doesn’t lower the USA price.
Our US diesel supply doesn’t lower the US diesel price because the price is set by market traders, by the western financial markets, not by production or supply. There is a disconnect. It’s the same reason why Oranges grown in Florida cost the same as Oranges shipped into Minnesota. Local supply does not determine local price; the rigged commodity market does.
The USA could be swimming in diesel fuel and yet the price at the pump remains $6/gal. (read more)
So, what did Trump do? He skipped right over the market!
I think everyone who reads CTH can well understand the nature of the telephone call between President Donald Trump and Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin. Both are clear-eyed leaders who understand each other’s geopolitical contexts and objectives. There is no pretending between Putin and Trump.
In related news:
Presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will meet with Ukrainian negotiators and European officials in Miami on Friday to present “new ideas and proposals” to break the stalemate in the Russia-Ukraine war, U.S. and Ukrainian officials say.
Why it matters: The Trump administration is hoping to reach a diplomatic breakthrough ahead of the midterm elections and before brutal winter weather grips Ukraine.
-
- One of the ideas is a partial ceasefire that halts attacks on energy infrastructure and grain shipments. While Ukraine has said it’s willing to take that step, Russia has shown little willingness.
- “They are all nervous about the winter. It will be a tough winter if the war does not stop. So the U.S. is trying to mediate with the sides, with the goal of creating a unified proposal,” a U.S. source said.
[…] Witkoff and Kushner might travel to Moscow later this month for more talks with Putin, a source with knowledge said. (more)

Haha, this photo of Rubio looking at Z.
A classic
He knows what vile beast Zelensky. I have a feeling he is far worse than we know…
Heads are spinning in secret “hell” over this deal. Guaranteed!
Exactly! I do not understand the pictures we’re shown of government leaders staring at Zelensky as though pearls of wisdom are falling from his mouth.
So how do we get this to the voters before midterms
Share and spread this commentary.
We don’t.
I’m beyond curious, why state the amount in tons?
If anyone knows why tons and not barrels. My curiosity is peaked, at this point everything seems important, for some reason.
Per Google AI:
Diesel fuel shipments are stated in tons (metric tons) rather than barrels because international physical trading and bulk shipping use weight (mass) to avoid volume changes caused by temperature, whereas the U.S. domestic market typically tracks petroleum by volume (barrels).
Key Reasons for Using Tons
J
Thanks for that informative comment!
So if my calculations are correct, 1 million tons of diesel would be around 7 million barrels of diesel.
42 gallons in 1 barrel the would equate to 294 million gallons.
So we would have around 50 million gallons of diesel per month for the next 6 months from Russia.
In addition of what we produce and keep domestically. Does that sound correct?
“Notice it’s diesel specifically for the USA market.”–
something is not right here. America is exporting a whack of diesel each and everyday…America has a surplus of diesel gas… they don’t need a single drop of Russian diesel….
The United States exports an average of 1.5 million to 1.6 million barrelsof distillate fuel oil (sold as diesel) per day, with recent high volumes reaching up to 1.75 million to 1.9 million barrels per day amid high global–google AI
You are correct… We don’t have a shortage of diesel fuel and gasoline in the USA…
What we do have is an overabundance of excuses used by the major oil companies to continue raising prices and gouge the American public…
The USA must export diesel fuel ’cause our storage capacity is full and if we didn’t export, our refineries would have to shut down because there is no more storage available…
Maybe our genius President will import Russian diesel a discount prices and export it at European Union prices. Love this Man.
I think the article and quotes from PTrump as this being released for worldwide use. This should help bring down the prices. SD also said the price of diesel fuel is not attached to how much there is but to the speculative market and energy companies and financial entities managing the market for the oil and diesel.
Yep. He stated American and global markets
Sundance explained it – we have no capacity to store the amount of diesel we produce so stopping exports will do nothing to alleviate prices in the US.
IMO having Russia flood the world with their product “should” lower diesel’s price – that is IF price was controled by market forces, I.E. by supply & demand. The point being that diesel prices in the US are manipulated by politicaly motivated commodity “traders” (democrats) who plan to keep prices high to affect our midterm elections…
Yes. I’ve said before that an entire industry should not suffer based solely on the success or failure of SPECULATORS winning or losing money.
Thats why we must win. We know the price of failure!
The pricing is different. The article said the price of this particular Russian oil is to be set outside of the manipulative exchanges.
Maybe for a major military action
Long time coming this. Good news.
The GOAT.
We really need a less pretentious Democrat Party to offer a bit of metal to sharpen metal. Democrat Party happy to gaslight lemmings right off a cliff if it gets a vote.
Cliffs: Russia is *not the enemy.
Libertarians need to take over the democratic party the way Trump took over the Republican Party – then we’d be rolling again.
Good. Get them out of the establishment republiCON party.
They’re the source of “any willing worker from anywhere” that taxpayers must subsidize.
President Trump should sign an executive order that no American refineries may be temporarily shut down for maintenance reasons until at least the remainder of the year. That should be signed yesterday.
Another executive order should prohibit any refineries from closing and he should order the refinery last closed, to reopen asap. Get more energy refining capacity on line in the U.S. Make it a priority. The manipulators will not give up, neither should President Trump.
That’s something I never quite understood. USA has lots of oil which we pump out. Why don’t we have enough refineries here? Why do we have to get refined product from Russia or anywhere else? .Why aren’t we building more refineries?
Talk to the states and the NIMBY’s with their climate change policies.
Same reason we are chasing the fictitious phantom of so -called clean, or renewable, energy:
Communism trying its best to destroy our culture and our country.
Obama, Biden, Obama, and the Green New Scam. Oh, and Mark Carney.
56 refineries in Californikashun were shutdown by Gruesome during FJB admin.
California is governed by Marxists. Just wait until Newsom closes the El Segundo refinery that feeds Alaskan oil into LAX next year.
See green climate scammers and profiteers
56 refineries in Californikashun were shutdown by Gruesome during FJB admin. What about those?
You clearly have zero idea of how refineries work.
Refineries cannot just operate 24/7 for an extended period of time.
Refinery ‘workover’ is a required necessity to keep the production going,… my younger brother does this for a living all over the USA.
This is all so incredible.
“Local supply does not determine local price; the rigged commodity market does.”
We need to unrig and/or eliminate these rigged commodities markets, if we are ever to see any relief from price increases because the wind changed direction.
Remove the “middle man” markup. It’s that simple.
Super! Much Needed!
That’s the way I look at Zylnskyy, to Marco !!
Hey! Maybe it’ll cost less to fill up my 2012 VW Passat TDI!
Weazelinsky will not be happy.
Excellent geopolitical move. 🙏 unceasingly
I’m happy to read that Putin and Trump can do this deal. In today’s world Russia is not the enemy. China is the threat (as is Islam).
There really needs to be some “scientific” research into TDS. I have never seen anything like, except for the brain washing of the vaxx. Yeah, I know all the cattle herding, power/money grabs, mass psychosis theories etc., but TDS is of a different grain of sickness. God Bless him for being able to POWER ON through all the hatred and craziness. I will always love him for that.
TDS is just a side condition from being a member of a mind-controlling religious cult, which nearly all democrat voters are. This is not your grandpa’s democrat party. Need proof? Try having a semi-fact based, semi-intelligent political discussion with any democrat voter. You are pissing in the wind. They are unreachable with facts and most democrats will do whatever their religious leaders tell them to do. Too bad their religious leader isn’t Jim Jones…….
Makes me wonder if Democrat/DSA/MSM types are working on “Russia! Russia! Russia! 2.0”.
I’m wondering, if Putin floods the market with diesel than the prices should drop like a rock.
If not than does that mean President Trump has a flag in his pocket to show everyone that speculators actually are rigging the market?
This is quite a bit of diesel fuel being released?
Maybe some of you can “speculate” here?
Reagan is spinning in his grave. I’d rather pay more than give Russia our money.
Embarrassing!
Reagan would have realised that the Cold War is still over, and he certainly wouldn’t have given it to the little rat faced Ukranian extortionist, like PDJTs predecessor.
Don’t feed the troll.
Yacht Rocker needs to troll, troll, troll his yacht out of here.
It’s an atrocity that this administration supports Russia despite the wishes of the majority of Americans.
He has gaslighted his base to hate the Libs more than our actual enemies.
I guess broken folks need broken idols.
Well the majority of Americans want lower gas and diesel prices.
Go to CNN and post or STFU
The majority of the Republican party’s electorate is against support for Ukraine against Russia.
Try harder.
You obviously listen to Alex Jones, correct?
Here in rural northwestern Ohio, diesel has fallen over a dollar in the last 10 days to c. $5.39-$5.49.
Some places have it at c. $6.00 and higher, but at least three gas stations along I-75 were at $5.39-$5.49.
Good news!
87 Octane gasoline is in the $3.39-$3.59 range, again depending. Some stations are still $3.99., but those are a minority.
Going to be a bit longer in my neighborhood I suspect.
87 octane gasoline is about $4.38 and diesel is about $6.70.
Experience has typically been a few cents cheaper a bit farther North into central Maine, but not by much more than that.
Please, please, this is too much winning !
I hope there’s a book written about when and how Trump and his advisors war-gamed out all the potential scenarios of this 2nd Administration.
Gotta believe they have been using some superior-to-Grok SI all along…
Why Tons, why not barrels? Figure it out for yourselves and then ask how many BPD of diesel is used in the global market, let alone Gasoline. lol
It will be interesting to see how the media and Democrats play this. Undoubtedly, they’ll portray it as President Trump undermining Ukraine and being weak toward Putin.
Yet they were cheering Zelenskyy on for bombing Russian diesel refineries and driving the price of diesel up. Their comments online were giddy that it would hurt Trump and Republicans in the midterms.
Who else thinks Zelenskyy, with EU and NATO help, will now target tankers of Russian diesel headed for America?
Sadly this is all a PR stunt. The volumn of diesel Russia will release by next spring equals about five days consumption by the US alone. Diesel prices will not come down. His war with Iran is the prime cause for the diesel price explosion around the world and it’s not going away until we get out of the war with Iran.
‘Sadly this is all a PR stunt.’
You’re on the right track, keep going.
‘His war with Iran is the prime cause for the diesel price explosion around the world and it’s not going away until we get out of the war with Iran.‘
That and the US proxy war with Russia in Ukraine, with US money, weapons and intel enabling Ukraine, including strikes on Russian refineries.
Yet, Russia continues to supply gas to the EU (which supports Ukraine), and now diesel to the global market including the US (supporting Ukraine while inflicting war on Russia’s partner Iran)?
These are clues that it is all contrived theater, the global powers are colluding behind the scenes.
Colluding to what ends?
More clues:
The Ukraine morass is shifting to pull the EU down.
The Iran morass is depleting the US military, forcing its “debasification” withdrawal from the middle east, and moving the rest of the world further away from the petrodollar hegemony. All part of pulling the US down.
As authoritarian surveillance state China strengthens.
And the declining US builds its surveillance panopticon, with the authoritarian framework of the covid plandemic ready to reactivate at any time for any reason.
Project the trends forward, to see.
Remember when Trump promised to end the Ukraine war immediately upon taking office? He could have done that by simply ceasing all US support for it. But he didn’t, because that was not the Plan. Fooling you was.
‘Scuse me; gotta go and choke on a very large yuuuge Black Pill before I go to bed.
Hair on fire! All is lost! I’m so lonesome I could just cry.
Trump.
Trump!
Trump!!
Malone published an article Oct 5 with some points about cults that are relevant to CarolE’s post.
The article is centered on “vaccine wars” but the basics about cults are universal.
https://www.malone.news/p/a-tale-of-two-cults
The point below directly relevant to CarolE’s post is bolded.
‘Robert Jay Lifton developed one of the most influential frameworks after studying people subjected to Chinese Communist thought reform. He identified eight characteristics of what he called ideological totalism. Four are particularly relevant to the vaccine wars.
The first is sacred science. The doctrine becomes unquestionable truth, and its authorities become difficult to challenge.
The second is loading the language. Complicated questions are reduced to slogans and labels that shut down argument.
The third is the demand for purity. People are divided into the faithful and the suspect, with members repeatedly required to demonstrate which side they are on.
The fourth is the dispensing of existence. Those outside the accepted belief system lose standing. Their arguments need not be answered because they are no longer considered legitimate participants in the debate.’
It’s being reported that 3 hours ago, Ukraine sent drones and set the Russian fuel export terminal ablaze!
https://x.com/Osinttechnical/status/2108718531726524685
Well, that was predictable. Of course Zelenskyy gave the order to make that strike as he supposedly evacuated from Kiev (according to sources).
Diesel inventory is 12 percent below the 5 year average. The linked article below does a commendable job of explaining the tightness in supply, notes the relatively small drop in refining capacity in reference to just the last year of about 200000 bod out of 18.5 million.
My comment, added not drawn from the article, is that the number of refineries operating has dropped faster than operating capacity over recent decades because the stronger performing refineries are being enlarged. Our refineries are operating in the mid ninety percent capacity factors, much like our electric generation situation. There is no meaningful way for refineries to up diesel output enough to help quickly . Thus the import strategy. I could not quickly find a reference to what percent of out diesel storage capacity is full, and I don’t know it myself. The number is out there, Claude and Grok should ferret that out quickly. You need to do that.
As I have said here before, the total open interest of all oil contracts is unremarkable, and even well below a few years ago. Anyone with think or swim or any popular charting available can look this up, and speculation is actually rather light, particularly for a market trading double a year ago .
The genius of the Trump Putin agreement is political, and not for the midterms, but I hope it helps that too. What the president has done is to make Zelinsky have to militarily attack American interest directly to continue attacking Russian oil infrastructure, open Russia a bit more to supply Europe during the winter, the people don’t deserve to freeze because the EU leaders are warmongers, and hopefully motivated Putin and some fraction of the European missleadership towards peace. Peace through commerce.
Donald Trump is the best we have ever seen at manipulating people into showing exactly who they are. Speculators can not hold a market up by buying more contracts in the face of rising supply. Attempting to do so would sharply reduce the size of their behinds .

Zelenskyy is FURIOUS!!!
Next move > Bessent will change how oil is priced
Broken Record
It’s all about…..
Power and money
and
Money and power.
The serfs can go suck eggs.
Personally, I believe DJT is working for the people of this country.
That said, Trump, like all of the rest of us, is an imperfect human being.
That said, we all have pluses and minuses.
The question, where Trump is concerned, is: do the pluses outweigh the minuses?
IMO, they do.
I’m don’t fully understand the commodity market price fixing but I have a pretty good understanding of the war between Russia and Ukraine. Russia is not interested in any truce. It just gives breathing room to Ukraine. Putin has been 100% clear that Russia is not interested in a true or any interim agreement. Russia will only accept a comprehensive peace agreement that meets Russian demands for security and the full acknowledgment of the Russian claims to the Donbas and Crimea. The continued escalation by the Europeans is edging them closer to direct conflict. A conflict that they’re woefully unprepared to fight. Putin has also always been willing to sell energy to anyone. That includes the NATO members. Russia would pump gas through Nordstream I today if Germany would buy it. Russia has a long history of willingness to suffer to achieve victory. The more the west escalates the harder the Russian mind hardens for war. Russia will go to total nuclear war before accepting anything short of victory. The economic pressure theory has no basis in Russian reality.
