The Trump administration has imposed sweeping new sanctions on the International Criminal Court in an effort to dismantle the tribunal that President Trump, Secretary Rubio and congress believes has become politicized and attempted to unfairly and illegally prosecute Americans and Israelis on war crimes charges.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the sanctions Friday, after the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to South African prosecutor Navi Pillay, a former judge at the ICC and other international courts. The ICC is based in the Netherlands, an EU and NATO member. Secretary Rubio made the announcement:
(VIA MSM) – […] US sanctions typically bar all US-based companies from any work with a sanctioned organization, forcing banks to shut accounts, insurers to end coverage and software companies to halt cooperation.
The Trump administration previously imposed targeted sanctions on court officials during his first term, which were rescinded under President Joe Biden. Washington announced new sanctions just days after Trump returned to office in January 2025.
[…] Court officials have been preparing for months for the prospect of sanctions on the court itself, shifting office computers from Microsoft software to open source equivalents and making new arrangements for banking and health insurance.
The court’s registrar Osvaldo Zavala Giler called earlier this week for the EU to be prepared to use a so-called “blocking mechanism” that lets it shield European countries from the extra-territorial effects of sanctions.
In his statement, Rubio said the United States had delayed its sanctions hoping that the ICC and the countries party to its founding Rome Statute would address US concerns, but they had failed to do so.
“Either the ICC will end its threats, or we will end the ICC. We expect our allies, many of whom are part of the ICC and that rely on American servicemembers for their defense, to rein in the court,” Rubio said. (read more)

I wouldn’t be shocked to see many of our “allies” stand with the ICC. Going to fun if they do!
“Allies” in this context should always be in scare quotes.
A couple of pretty meaningful EUnuchs/NATO spankings from PDT today. Freeze the assets that feed the 100% political ICC and a direct energy agreement with Russia that undermines the city of London’s power related to energy. Priceless
Good trajectory.
Particularly Israel.
All predictable and now easier to see unfolding in real-time now that the MAGA effect is forcing them to show their hand.
ICC didn’t go after plandemic war crimes so they are worthless and untrustworthy.
I prefer “crimes against humanity” but your point stands.
They were in favor of those war crimes.
Pretty sure the ICC was organized solely to prosecute impediments to the consolidation of a one world government under globohomo.
Always was a snake.
Nor after the IRGC and Mullah ghouls.
Good! Cut off the head of the snakes! Good vs. Evil
GOD WINS✝️🙏
“Piece by piece”, as the great Secretary of State Rubio announced.
Be it on their heads…the ICC have been warned.
(Christ won the Victory on the Third Day….Evil does not yet know that it is defeated.)
Book’em Dano!
Would be neat if he could do it to the American Barfare Association.
Secretary Rubio said that DemonCrats and RepubliCons BOTH agree on this.
Of course that was before Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Within 24 hours both wings of the UniParty bird will still be in agreement-against President Trump.
By the end of next week some Communist federal judge will rule that President Trump has no authority to sanction a rogue fake globalist court.
And President Trump will work around the traitorous cretins and serve up yet another win.
God bless President Trump!
Errr…when Rubio speaks of EU “Allies” I think he missed the memo that they’ve taken up the “Axis” position.
No Ally of mine, nor of the US. What was ain’t what is.
Absolutely!
And what was may not have been what it seemed.
Fantastic!
Jack Smith spent a few years working for the ICC in the Hague. Sounds like they were a perfect match for each other.
I didn’t know they gave the Peace Prize to someone else.
Trump should start his own Peace Prize and give it to himself.
Put a statue on the National Mall.
Can’t a well placed virus wipe off the whole darn illegal thing? Can’t be that hard, can it?
What has South African prosecutor Navi Pillay done for peace in South Africa and Africa over the past 50 years?
From the time Mandela became president till now over 750 000 have been murdered in South Africa alone.
There have been numerous wars in Africa with many times the numbers killed than in the Gaza -Israel conflict.
This is a purely poitical award and has not been given for the achievement of actual peace in any serious conflict.
