Earlier today Russia announced they would pause all military strikes against Kiev, Ukraine for three days, as Trump administration emissaries for peace Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner conduct sensitive negotiations. The duo is meeting with Vladimir Putin in Moscow today.
Shortly thereafter, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also announced he would pause any drone strikes into Russia as the diplomatic effort gets underway. Both Kushner and Witkoff are expected to arrive in Kiev for that side of the discussions tomorrow.
Kushner and Witkoff were met at the Moscow airport by Russian emissary Kiril Dmitriev.
Today happens to be Moscow City Day, a celebration of the 879th anniversary of the founding of Moscow.
Witkoff and Kushner then traveled to the Kremlin for talks with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin. The U.S. delegation is said to be carrying a new peace proposal from the White House. The meeting comes amid continued international attention on diplomatic efforts involving Russia and the United States, including discussions surrounding the war in Ukraine and broader relations between Washington and Moscow.
[The Kremlin is back on YouTube 👀🤔]
Something about these specific negotiations and the timing therein is different. Today Witkoff and Kushner meet with Vladimir Putin following a visit by CIA Director John Ratcliffe to the Kremlin where he met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Naryshkin, the head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
Approximately three days after the Ratcliffe visit to Moscow, Russia began targeting specific missile and ammunition warehouses in Kiev with exceptional accuracy. Some of the targeted buildings were in residential areas, much to the surprise of Ukraine President Zelenskyy, who claimed he was unaware of their location. The ammunition storage strikes created massive explosions in Kiev resulting in numerous casualties.
Russia maintained an intensive 24/7 barrage using drones and missiles for four consecutive days. Meanwhile, without sharing any evidence, Germany claimed Russia was conducting “hybrid attacks” throughout Europe. Again, there is no evidence to support this claim, which was promoted by European NATO allies yet refuted by local authorities in each of the examples cited.
President Trump has remained in open communication with Russian President Putin and Trump has emphasized that Russia has no intention of striking any NATO country. Finland President Alexander Stubb also said he sees no evidence of Russia seeking to expand their targeting, but also said Europe should be fully prepared just in case.
“We have an idea for peace,” President Trump told reporters on Friday. “I sent Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, two great negotiators. They’ve done a great job, and we sent them over to see whether or not we can get something done. And there may be a good chance that we’ll do it.”
Ukraine began striking Russian retail warehouses belonging to a company called Wildberries, similar to Amazon, in a misguided effort to further hurt the Russian economy. It was futile, Russian commerce is decentralized. Russia, however, began retaliatory strikes against retail warehouses in the Kiev region and immediately eliminated 90% of the retail food distribution (Ukraine is heavily centralized) causing immediate shortages in the population center. Tens-of-thousands of Kiev residents have now fled the metropolitan area.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy – “I have just spoken with the U.S. President’s envoys. They have already begun working with the Russian side today. From the moment of this conversation, we are ready to observe a ceasefire in airstrikes against the cities involved in the negotiation process. From now through the end of Saturday, as well as on Sunday and Monday, Ukraine is ready to refrain from strikes on Moscow, and we expect the Russians to do the same regarding Kyiv.
Today, I also received reports from Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi on the situation at the front, the dynamics of threats in Ukraine’s airspace, our steps, and active defensive operations. I am grateful to every one of our warriors for effectively defending Ukraine’s positions.
On the diplomatic track, our actions must be, and will be, just as strong and effective – one hundred percent. The plan for tomorrow’s diplomatic engagements in Kyiv, involving the U.S. team, has been approved. We are waiting for Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and are ready for a substantive conversation. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!” (source)

I am sorry. I am in the pool and have had a bottle of prosecco. Am I seeing a guy (or 2) showing up to a world meeting for peace wearing gym shoes??? DISGRACE.
Guess they gotta hit the ground running?!?! 😉
Conversely…
Just do it!
Adidas, amigo!
Perhaps these peace talks will achieve a New Balance.
lol, you stole that from Wordman
?
I did ctrl-F on “balance” and on “Wordman”. I don’t see what you refer to.
But a minor matter, in view of possibly ending the mass death, destruction and waste.
Godspeed to Steve and Jared.
no doubt the meeting will be a croc
I’m sure that was meant as a joke. I was waiting for a response from him myself! 🙂
thx
Trump told Jared be aboveboard and topside, but above all else, sperry me from having to talk to Zelensky…
Good choices of words…I have enjoyed all mentioned. I even enjoyed walking on my boat. 😉
CactusMatt77 —
Sperry Top Siders are some of the most comfortable casual shoes.
Nike ‘swish’ on them. I see he enjoys the fine workmanship of Chinese political prison slave laborers!
At least they’re not loafers. Or croc’s for that matter. No loafing, no crock of shite. So there’s that.
I prefer a jogging suit and sneakers for long flights.
Run fast; jump high! (Keds) 😜
“Run your fastest; jump your highest!” (P.F. Flyers)
Bingo, Bruzed Orange
I believe those date us. 🤣
…something “Skechy” about this…
They changed clothes after the flight. Arrived to Kremlin, suits and ties.
I knew they would change clothes.
It’s a long flight. Kushner and Wittkoff should be comfortable before getting down to business.
I wonder if they’ll be wearing athletic wear when they meet with Zelenskyy? When in Kiev…
Maybe stilettos? I understand the little coke-head likes high heels!
I think you are talking about Mr.Z. No? Not Vlad, he is much too old and has been ill.
I do not think the “coke-head” is any reference to The Putin. It was little Z and the spendets. lol
Hmmmm always a possibility? Curious cat perked-up.
Well — the visited country would set the dress code… n’est – ce pas?
of course sir. we know, but I guess you had to put them to bed.
I was so concerned 🙄
Jared will do the reverse upon arriving in Kiev.
I bet they won’t be drinking prosecco. No real man would.
Thank you Sundance. TWO civilized countries would have freshened and ‘dressed’ accordingly for the meeting.
Thank you Sundance.
The tuxedos were not back from the cleaners.
Fortunately, these men have already established a working relationship from previous efforts.
100% Greg1
Why is that?
“You don’t have to run faster than the bear to get away. You just have to run faster than the guy next to you.”
― Jim Butcher
Really? That’s all you have? I go for comfort on a flight and then change cloths for meetings.
Petty, very petty. Are you a troll?
naw not me – i even sleep in the suit – just iron it the morning before heading to the meeting. And lemme tell ya, ironing a suit while its still on is no easy task. 😉
Some are known to have placed the suit under the mattress to “iron” it.
<…i even sleep in the suit – just iron it the morning before heading to the meeting.>
With an important meeting in the morning…
I would have thought you had less pressing concerns 🙂
Excellent. Love this!
WITH DEFERENCE TO WORDMAN:
<And lemme tell ya, ironing a suit while it’s still on is no easy task>
But when you walk into the meeting you look smoking hot! 🙂
washcloths?
Hey, Hey, trollin ain’t easy all up in here.
Thank you
Seems a bit nit picky to possibly end the mindless slaughter ,as you drink safely from your pool in your backyard. Grandmas rules hold me back from the caps and question marks word that I should not lob back at the pool dweller….peace
Gee, neither one is wearing a dress shirt and tie either. Did you enlarge the picture to check and see if they had belts that matched there pants? (Sarc)
The picture is obviously when disembarking from the LONG flight over. Maybe they wanted to arrive somewhat refreshed and sharp. Have you traveled much for work?
Wow
Belts match shoes not pants-brown shoes brown belt or black shoe black belt, same for navy.
Leatherware compliments the suit or shirt and pants.
Socks match pants.
Blues, black, and greys in the coat, slacks, shirt, socks, and tie can generally be mixed.
To your point though, Tim seems to be trolling or on some sort of a fault finding mission.

47FS,
Ha, Good one; I have never been noted for my clothing style. If not for my wife and three daughters , I don’t think I would have any style. Ha, Ha
Years ago, there was this guy who turned out to be colorblind.
He always wore clothes that ranged between burnt orange to brown to this olive brown color.
Like the colors of most trees and bushes during the fall.
When I asked him why he only wore those colors he said it was because he was colorblind so, no matter what he wore out of his wardrobe it always matched.
He said his mother started dressing him in those colors when he was really young because until they figured out he was colorblind, whenever he dressed himself he wound up looking clownish.
Anyway, when you mentioned matching shoes and pants it reminded me of that guy.

I use a length of Manila rope for a belt because it goes well with my faded levis, but if it’s not a dress occasion, I just wear any old thing.
Ok, Jethro.

Another nut concentrating on style vs substance.
That you, Mark Warner? 🤣
It’s amazing how Z’s look has caught on!
Ellensky’s such a fashionista, truly a trendsetter.

thousands of people dying each week and that’s your beef? I hate to break the news to you but the guy in the sneakers that seems to be bothering you so badly has accomplished more in his short life than you ever will.
Nepotism to the max.
Hey Tim – No disrespect intended, however if you enlarged the picture, it sure looks like just the pattern on the carpet that you are referring to.
Maybe, just maybe, they saved wearing suits for the actual meeting? You would have complained that their suits were wrinkled if they disembarked from the plane wearing them.
Leaving the plane… seems OK to me!
No, you’re seeing a guy who has been traveling on a plane for hours get off the plane in his casual clothing.
He wore a suit and dress shoes to the formal meeting. You’d know that if you watched the video.
Also, the American team doesn’t have to impress anyone. We aren’t there to grovel, just facilitate.
Kushner has proven himself to be a first class negotiator. Remember that little thing called the Abraham Accords?
A Jew got a bunch of Arabs to sign it. I’d say that’s pretty GRACEFUL.
Try real champagne and caviar next time instead of prosecco and roe. Maybe it won’t make you so angry. : )
What do you wear on long trips that involve many, many hrs? Could they have at least changed shoes?? Maybe. How big is the plane they flew on. My son works on Gulfstream G800s and he has given his mom and I tours through the plane, and while they are very impressive in their performance and accommodations, there is ZERO room to take care of the 3 sss’s let alone change clothes into business attire.
I have to say….. that is the least of “my”
personal concerns.
Perhaps we should focus on the content of the dialog.
Will a permanent stop to this ” war ” end or not.
Maybe they were in hurry. “Jared, I know that it’s late, but you got 5 minutes to get on a plane and go to Moscow. Steve has a copy of the plans. Read it on the plane. Don’t miss that flight.”
Watched the entire video and didn’t see anyone wearing gym shoes.
I think they should borrow Melania’s “I don’t care” jacket for travelling clothes. 😁
Agreed. Suits later notwithstanding. He looks like a tool.
A long flight and walking around in heavy rain makes sneakers a good idea.
Re “Am I seeing a guy (or 2) showing up to a world meeting for peace wearing gym shoes??? DISGRACE.”
No, you’re seeing them leaving the plane after a long flight; at which time, such footwear along with other comfortable attire is not at all unacceptable.
Still, I don’t care if they attend their meeting barefoot as long as they’re able to end the war.
Do football players wear pads and helmets on their plane? How about the bus to an away game playing field? So, if they don’t wear their “work clothes” in those instances, why should Kushner and Witkoff when flying 5,000 miles over 9 hours?
you don’t suppose he might change shoes or clothes before a meeting,, later that day,,,, besides, long distance travel in those are more comfortable,,,, and furthermore ,, WGAS?
No “disgrace”, just fashion. Do keep up.
Why is it a disgrace? Throwing out insults without some explanation is this real disgrace.
Especially while lying in water turning into a prune drinking some rotgut wine. We all noticed you did not mention them in tie and suit in the bottom photo. You do not like kushner just say so!
First came Allen…..and no one believed him. Then came Tim and he too was scoffed.
Who’s next?
Maybe they were saving their brand new Florsheims for the actual meeting.
It’s gym shoes because you get a real workout sitting on your ass for 3 hours flapping your gums and kissing foreign leaders’ behinds.
Very expensive “gym” shoes to be sure.
Tim, triggering the entire Treehouse while drinking Prosecco in the pool is a hard job, but someone has to do it.
Am I seeing a guy (or 2) showing up to a world meeting for peace wearing gym shoes??? DISGRACE
He just got off the plane, a little slack, if you notice he’s in the meeting in full business attire……
“Approximately three days after the Ratcliffe visit to Moscow, Russia began targeting specific missile and ammunition warehouses in Kiev with exceptional accuracy. Some of the targeted buildings were in residential areas, much to the surprise of Ukraine President Zelenskyy, who claimed he was unaware of their location.”
Subtle.
Zelensky gets exposed claiming he didn’t know.
Oooooooookay….
Didn’t know? That’s either proof of Z being a poor liar or him having incompetent leadership ability.
Plauia ke deniability. I bet those weapons were for sale outside the country.
i find it bizarre to pretend that both z and russia didnt know exactly where those depots were.
Prime delivery.
observe a ceasefire in airstrikes against the cities involved in the negotiation process
Yeah, I noticed that ‘lawyer/politician qualifying exclusion speak’ also.
The BBC was reporting on this earlier this morning and having a conniption because they did not know the details of the new peace plan being proposed by President Trump (the anchor was literally sneering as she said it). Like we would tell the BBC our plans ahead of time LOL!
Let us hope that something good will happen after these meetings!
Yes, to be expected…
All over Europe, fainting couches and smelling salts.
Elbows up must be tiring…
But the Chicken Dance is the only move they know
Yes, the ‘Victorian swooning spells’ seem to be back in vogue!
Ursula von der Leyen I think…
Perzactly, Sis!
She just looks the sort 😎👍🏻
She IS the sort, Betsy! Unelected…..kinda like most of our so-called representatives. Spit!
At least Lucifer picked someone who looks the part.
Unelected by Europeans whose lives she holds in her well manicured claw, THOR. Her fellow despots chose her as the acceptable feminist face of rancid tyranny.
I’d spit, too…
But my upbringing forbids it…
You do it for the pair of us, my friend. We’ll call it a “proxy spit, shall we? 😎👍🏻
It’s a deal!
Hooooccckkk-phewee. Darn….missed the spittoon again. 😎
Or is that fainting salts and smelling couches? :-p
*teehee* 😁👍🏻
The BBC are mouthpieces for the globalists. The LAST thing they want is peace.
Correct! The EUnuchs are banking on an expanded war with Russia even when they have to pretend its not Ukraine itself planning false flag events. The cokehead globalist puppet the Zeester is only waiting on the corrupt cash kickback amount from his handlers before also pretending he’s in an position to negotiate
The BBC simply doesn’t want peace! That’s the BBC Plan.
Last best chance to end this thing? Will need some big time prayers as there are those that do not want it to end and their numbers are many…
I’m hoping that the first thing that is handed to lil”Z” is a bill
how about a cyanide pill?
A few Nazis did that cyanide pill thing.
Let’s hope any deal includes unadulterated elections in UKR.
You only want the kids to vote???
Nah, they’re probably too old to remember Racer X.
How are the globalists going to derail this one?
tie Greta Thunberg to the tracks!
She could make a train take a dirt road
I don’t see this going anywhere. Russia will not agree to a ceasefire (rearming pause for Ukraine) and Kiev will not agree to giving up claim to the Donbas and Crimea. Also Russia would be a fool to make any agreement with the West. We’ve done nothing but lie and break every previous agreement. Trump may keep to an agreement but Ukraine , Europeans , and our deep state will only see this as an opportunity to rebuild and rearm the Ukrainian army. Other than Trump himself there is nobody to make a peace deal with. Trump has only marginal control of the US government and will be gone in two years. I’d say WWIII is much more likely than peace.
i think behind the scenes there is more recognition that uke is on the verge of collapse – for real this time. they might be more open to deals than they were even a few months ago.
Muley, you and David are hitting on the same questions I have. Hate to use the old euphemism
but “TIME WILL TELL.”
Sometimes, to me, it seems a comment qualifies as the MUD in curmudgeon.
Bottomless.
Then please enlighten us with a more profound summarization of the Reddit War.
David expressed his opinion based on the information he has observed as have I. It was not bottomless. It contained facts that your comment was void off.
I want an end to this war just like every other sane person but denying the facts doesn’t end the war and in my opinion everything David wrote rings true.
The only way this thing ends is with Russia getting the land they fought for and everything else is up in the air……especially the Russian assets that the EU STOLE from them.
There’s always hope.
My wise father would remind us….we have a President who doesn’t give up or give in.
God saved him.
God gives hope President Trump keeps going back in the arena.
Many, many would never even try.
Sit back, close your eyes and think of the damage Kamala would have done with the help of the RINOS.
Random question rattling around in my noggin:
Will there be anyone from the EU or NATO present at the negotiations? Because they are the ones making war for Ukraine.
I think they are too busy trying to pry the vault open containing the Russian asset
I hope not. I want this to be successful.
Will there be anyone from the EU or NATO present at the negotiations?
yes – the Ukrainians
Random attempt at sarcasm.
I would not be surprised if Trump set the meeting up on Moscow City Day expressly to make sure no Ukraine attacks on the special day. I’m sure Putin realizes this. Didn’t Ukraine do something happen on the WWII remembrance day in Russia?
Yep.
“Russia’s 2025 Victory Day (May 9) commemorations in Moscow were marked by heightened security fears and operational disruptions due to ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
The Kremlin implemented strict counter-drone measures, including mobile internet outages and search restrictions, following three days of Ukrainian drone attacks on the capital prior to the parade.”
Z-bag and his backers (MI5. CIA?) have no morals and will burn in Hell if not sooner.
I stand with the Ukrainian People who want to get rid of their Nazi Dictator and his World Mafia Paymasters and live again.
God willing Gipper. God willing. 🙏🏽
Oh God is willing but the Euroweenies, our IC and warmonger members of Congress are not willing!!! JMO
PDT: “I speak to him. I know him very well. Putin’s not looking to attack Nato territory.”
Translation:
“No one believes your cheesy little False Flag or wants your stupid war, NATO.”
“Today, I also received reports from Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi “
Federov splits. The SBU and HUR (their intelligence services) have a “shoot out” passed off as some sort of bar fight. HUR then sends a drone into SBU headquarters to kill someone important.
It occurred to me when I read about the droning that a civil war among the Ukrainian war machine was brewing.
Don’t know how our CIA director visiting Putin, weapons being destroyed near civilians and their intelligence services trying to kill each other all ties together. That said, it sounds to me like the Ukrainian war machine is not all on the same page as to continuing this war and they are willing to go to war with each other to resolve their differences.
Good time to talk!
Seems like a fight over who gets the money.
No doubt. Pay them all off and get the war over with.
One does have to wonder what their Defense Minister and the Commander-in-Chief of their and Armed Forces had to say to Zelenskyy.
Add in Finland’s tone and I’m feeling hopeful.
Poor liberals. They will be so sad if Trump doesn’t get us into a war with Russia. They were so looking forward to proving how right they were about evil Trump.
Or getting rid of everyone who knows all the office secrets.
And who gets to control over the grift during the reconstruction.

It’s not about the money being plundered from us, etc…. it’s about Ukraine’s internal money that is being messed with. Odessa Money….. / business assets that are being targeted now thanks to Z man not negotiating a peace deal.
Anyone bought any Palintir stock this week?
That they would use U as a testing ground is difficult to fathom.
Why should we get more or sell it?
I said prior in another post…. once Odessa started getting hit. Zelensky will have bigger problems from locals with tons of money. None of this stuff had to happen…. but Zelensky and the Cabal chose this path by not negotiating a peace deal earlier.
Makes sense. Thanks.
Today happens to be Moscow City Day, a celebration of the 879th anniversary of the founding of Moscow.
The Russian people are amazingly resiliant. Building a very large cities and industries so far north. “Ice People” indeed.
It keeps their vodka cold. Za zdorovye!
first blush, good news on the pause. Talks are good. I would love to have been a fly on the wall. Would have been very interested if these discussions included any mention of how Russia and Ukraine (and the US) will settle how all that Russian Oil and Gas will be permitted/licensed for export. In the end, that is ALL THAT MATTERS from my periscope. This entire war is centered on Russia’s strategies to open up Ukraine and begin its leading steps to becoming a global energy market maker. Make no mistake about it. That is a very big problem for every nation state energy producer, particularly for the US IF/WHEN that happens. Russia has such an enormous capacity and the kind of oil and gas is quite inexpensive…nearly as “cheap” as SAUDI oil. We’ve seen this movie before. The major oil producers do not want competition. They would lose power and influence. It’s the same with the US. Energy from “new Russia” creates instability in a world where the game of pretend over what drives economies and wealth continues.
it is very weird when you think about it. that no media actually talks about what this war is really about. It’s the silence about it that tells you the truth about WHO this war and wars like it really serves.
thumbing back a few chapters, we saw the exact same things happen in the months and years leading up to the War in Iraq. Gotta get Hussein. He is the boogie man. Mass of weapons and such. Terror villain. killer of women and babies. And some of those things were true. The war was “sold” as those things to be true. But quietly few talked about or even wrote about how the war would effectively drive the market to the Saudi’s. Bush effectively doing the prince’s military business. In return the Saudi’s at the time agreed to trade terms favorable to the US, would slow down the dumping of cheap oil on the markets…and this would help the US producers get some breathing room.
While history may not repeat itself. it does rhyme.
God Bless America
So you say the war was really … to prevent the dumping of cheap oil on the markets and give US producers some breathing room.????
Okaaay…..
So I guess that’s why Trump just opened the strait, invested billions in Venezuela, tried to get the pipeline flowing in Canada and tried to end the war in the Ukraine…
……to prevent cheap oil from hitting the markets.
I guess I’m missing your point
the oil crossing SOH is NOT inexpensive easy to produce oil.
if it’s not obvious, check your oil prices.
if it’s not obvious, check the record breaking profit margins amidst this war
It’s not rocket surgery
God Bless America
You are right, it is not not rocket surgery.
My Recollection is that President Trump said just the other day he wants to get the price of oil down to $50 or $40 a barrel. President Trump wants the people to be prosperous. The oil companies will still make money but not an exorbitant amount. Lets hear it for Main Street.
The problem with that price point is, as I understand it, that drillers have a price point per barrel at which it is not profitable for them to initiate any new drilling. Fifty dollars, to the best of my recollection, was the figure mentioned, but this was a couple of years ago; so I’m unsure what it is currently.
its slightly higher…because as energy costs go up…not ironically, cost to produce it go up.
currently, it’s between 40-60 bucks a barrel. the range is due to the fluctuating costs of production across a vast and rather diverse production costs. (for example, it becomes much more expensive to drill and extract, transport Alaska oil in the winter than in summer…likewise the Permian basin has weather factors too. Likewise the GOA platforms are not like some always on spigot. Sometimes you have to bring them to a halt for bad weather…maintenance…and of course when overpressure situations require safety locks. Other additional factors also include political factors, such as when biden on his first day in office, I mean the autopen, halted all off shore license to drill). so the point is there isn’t single number where US oil producers make or lose money. It varies.
but between those two values is where costs and profits are about even.
noting: the US oil industry is making a remarkable profit margin due to these two wars.
also noting: while I do not doubt the President intentions to add venezuelan oil to the US production numbers it is important that it will be primarily Chevron who has control over production from the recent “expanded partnership”. I am highly skeptical it will have any impact on energy costs going down. I am confidence however, that oil will not be going to China and fueling our biggest economic threat…and potentially in the long term our biggest military threat. So I applaud the mission. But it will have no impact on main street energy costs. none. Chevron is in the business of making a buck, not giving out free luncheons.
I sound jaded …yup
God Bless America
to wit, reference the war in iraq for comparison, which I did not elaborate fully, oil prices zoomed straight up.
US and Saudi oil hit record profit then also.
as we are now seeing. perhaps the better way to express is rather than “all wars are energy wars”….”all wars are developed to consolidate power and create profits”.
consider this reality. US oil producers (even with the “new” venezuela deals) must maintain global market oil prices around 50-70 dollars a barrel in order to make ANY profit. That is the US costs. it varies according to country, resources and the type of oil/geology/transmodal factors. But among the largest producers, it is approximately about the same figure, except for say Saudi Oil. Russian oil, possessing some of the largest oil and gas resources, while not yet producing for anything close to the levels of the US and SA, is far far cheaper. Russia could IF PERMITTED produce nice profits well below 50USD a barrel. What they lack is the ability to move it cheaply. This is where Ukraine comes into play. A deep, large, warm water port with waterways across the most important oceans and a vast land mass with few land problems, such as mountains, seas, oceans, river systems that extend into the European markets.
Think if it this way…china has achieved the number one spot for production/manufacturing of goods because it has cheap labor and a very very high number of workers. (India is arguably larger in pop size, but it has no where near the scale of production/manufacturing). This gives it power. it isn’t energy however. That is what it can never be a major provider of energy (and which explains in one way why it pursues battery and solar tech as a commodity…that how they can compete in the new green deal world). Russia does not have the level of manufacturing and production engine to supply to the world anywhere close to the scale of China, nor India. But it does have one thing it has never before been able to supply: oil and gas. This is new because it has taken quite a long time for Russia to develop the infrastructure to extract, and produce and transport. But there are now poised to do just that. They were missing the 4th leg of the stool. They had a stable political society, a relatively fair market, infrastructure…but were missing the ability to transport it to global markets. Ukraine is the answer to that. This war is about Russian energy. The west (US and Saudi’s mostly), cannot afford to allow that cheap oil to enter the market. None of the math works out. Imagine IF Saudi arabia decided tomorrow to sell oil at below 50 bucks a barrel. There is nothing stopping them from doing so. They have done this several times to drain US producers from making investments and growing. A dependency they have in the past been almost without exception, a single force factor for market prices. But things have changed. Saudi and the US have “normalized” relations…they both have the same “enemies” cheap Russia oil. cheap Iranian oil (not as vast but for the regional quite inexpensive)…those are threats…very real threats.
so off to war we go. Name the boogie man, and what you find is trillions of oil and gas at stake.
what IS money after all?
God Bless America
was this the reason…perhaps an argument could be made that no, but certainly it IS the result. I personally don’t believe in coincidences.
to wit, reference the war in iraq for comparison, which I did not elaborate fully, oil prices zoomed straight up.

so off to war we go.

Fake. Russia has always been able to supply the global energy market, and does not need Ukraine in order to do so.
I commented above mentioning the same price per barrel you did before I read your comment. Thank you for confirming the information I had.
You are a general fighting the last war.
You are all over the map.
Regarding Your argument about Saudi’s dumping oil:
“They have done this several times to drain US producers from T
making investments and growing..”
1. The Bushes were in oil production and were globalists. They personally gained from reducing global oil supplies;
2, Trump is into industrializing the USA. Reducing the price of oil works helps to achieve lower prices of manufactured goods, farm goods, transport, travel, and increased customer purchasing power.
3. You make a BIG deal about the importance of ease of transport and then ignore that existing producers in USA have an advantage in that regard. Even if they did not, Trump could tariff if so inclined. You also ignore that opening the Canada pipeline would likely be competitive due to existing infrastructure and ease of transport.
4. Our economy isn’t just oil production. Your argument worked for the globalist Bushes and Obamas but ignores that all other sectors of the economy benefit from reduced oil costs.
You should have stopped here;
….”all wars are developed to consolidate power and create profits”.
I think you misread my comment or I may have not made it clear my opinion.
the costs of producing oil and gas in the US is about DOUBLE that of Russia should it gain Ukraine and the sea lane from the crimes deep sea ports.
That is a direct threat to US oil interests and whether we pretend or not, THIS PRESIDENT is never going to allow that to happen. no way, no how. Regardless whether we “thought” he would not start new wars, he has in fact done that…twice. Now, is that some indication of President Trump being dishonest. Absolutely not. It is perfectly aligned with his America first agenda, which I support and not just politically to be clear. The MANNER in which a decision is made to make war with Russia is what I oppose. There are many other ways to get Russia to take seriously the kinds of harm to US interests (our energy economy and all the global political power we achieve because of it). President Trump could take a position of partnerships between US and Russian Oil business. Seems unlikely, but that’s how you end a war AND mitigate the kinds of loss of global energy market making power that I am certain he wants to protect.
but then can we trust Russia, and why would it trust the US. all those seized assets…do we just return them…here you go…are we good now. This war in Ukraine has ruined any chances of anything close to normalizing relations with Russia. And I don’t blame them for not agreeing to any terms that would limit their energy markets to grow and not be infected with US politics. As I see it, there are no ways to come to terms over this war that allow Russia to actually become a global energy market maker. They will have some role, but it will be limited by an endless war until ….boom. That is my fear because that is where this ends at the current series of escalations. Claiming Ukraine would get license for patriot production certainly proves this President, even if not actually carrying out the unimaginable, has made his choice clear. He’s even said it now, multiple times. he sides with Ukraine.
God Help US ALL
God Bless America

I’m not going to claim I’m an oil expert but I still maintain my points I made above and that you are a general fighting the last war.
The Nordstream Pipeline explosion and Ukraine War started under the Biden globalist watch. They stated they wanted the price of gas to go up.
In the end, AI needs and increased industrialization here at home, will make it profitable to drill baby drill.
Are drilling costs a factor? They seemed to do fine when gas was at $2 per gallon. Does Trump want to keep the oil industry happy? Yes. That’s why he opened Venezuela. That’s why he wanted to deal on the Canadian pipeline.
Trump can tariff, he can subsidize with AI and industry profits. We ALSO have plenty of shipping ports on all sides to ship from as well.
This isn’t the 20th Century.
Sometimes it does repeat, regitiger.
And most times, no one remembers the lessons which were supposed to be learned from it. Either that, or they are deliberately ignored for nefarious reasons.
Which is why it either rhymes or repeats. On an historical loop…over, and over, and…
The Russians certainly teach their history. As result the Russian people remember…
As for the rest, the “Coalition of the Willing” et al who begin and stoke these proxy wars and colour revolutions? Those looking through THEIR periscopes or who are trying desperately attempting to peep through the key holes of the meetings such as these warmongers, shut out completely as they no doubt are?
Information is power, which is precisely why those who at this moment are probably tearing their hair out minimize, edit, or censor the truth for the proles.
Betsy: You are spot on. “Those looking through THEIR periscopes or who are trying desperately attempting to peep through the key holes of the meetings such as these warmongers, shut out completely…”
The negotiations and communication are conducted by a handful of trusted folks. The career DC blob and their ventriloquist dolls at the legacy media are shut out entirely. The non-elected (and nominally elected) EU apparatchiks have no clue, and to be honest, have no motivation to end the war. This clearly gives them the vapors.
At this point I am guessing their biggest fear is losing control over the narrative which they’ve so assiduously built, propagandized their own citizens with, and broadcast to the same. I think they are terrified of that, perhaps over everything else…for this moment at least.
But what they don’t know, they’ll make up, Bat…it’s what they do. It’s what they have been doing since the beginning of this proxy war.
Guaranteed.
I think all the Leftist Bolsheviks should serve time in a Siberian Gulag….. for the rest of their days. That would be proper punishment for stirring up these Wars where millions of White men and women are killed off. That goes for the communists in America too…. who get on MSM and lie out their Asses everyday. Gulag for all of them.
It repeated 3 times for Regitiger.
Funny!
lol my apologies. fat fingers today. all thirty of them it would seem
God Bless America
Haha, we’ve all done it.
No worries. Little Z will again refuse any attempt to settle differences for peace.
Why does anyone still believe that Z makes any decisions about the conduct of this conflict or the Ukraine part of the negotiations ? He will do as instructed.
precisely, Scrap
the number of folks suggesting the diminutive 8-ball inhaler has say in anything seems astonishingly high
Did somebody say 8-Ball? I remember that term used to be a pool hall term. YIKES, guess I’m showing my past.
There is such a thing as a military coup.
Not saying that’s what’s happening. Not at all.
I’m just saying it seems pretty obvious that the wheels on the bus are falling off and are starting to go bump, bump, bump.
Raffi would agree but since he’s Canadian….nobody gives a F**k.
lol!
Maybe what Ratcliffe told Putin was EU/NATO is about to drag them into full conflict and if you want to avoid it, it’s time to end this war once and for all. 🙏🏻🤔
if that was the message, i endorse putins response the last couple weeks of ramping up on ukraine exponentially.
Quite possible.
Ending the war also opens up options to create trade deals with Russia. That creates opportunities in both of our nations’ interests vis-à-vis our biggest competitor.
Track suits and gold chains would go a long way persuading the midget to make a deal.
that’s the attire for the Romanian delegation.
No matter how great the deal globalist puppet Z and his string pullers will not allow peace through Trump at this point. Not with election coming up.
Many guys wearing ATHLETIC SHOES — pleez
I learn more from these short videos (Moscow meeting with President Putin, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner), then whatever the alphabet networks conjure up. It’s reassuring to see Witkoff and Kushner representing the President directly rather than career State Department personnel. Sidelining the State Department improves the prospects for peace. Recall that Nuland and Pyatt (State Department) had a hand in fomenting the 2014 regime change / overthrow of the elected Ukraine government at the time.
The start of the laundry mat
I think that targeting civilian structures is a war crime? Does that law only apply to the United States?
Unless the civilian structure doubles as an armory or other military base.

No matter what shoes they are wearing, President Trump is getting more done right now than what will be accomplished at the upcoming G20 summit.
By the way, I love wearing Pumas on long flights.
This is all so completely phony, I don’t even know where to begin. “Z” is no longer the legitimate President of the country, yet here he is, skating all over the world in camo pants. He’s entirely being backed by European powers who are champing at the bit to start WW3 – even though none of them know what that means. (Russia DOES!)
I was thinking about how the POTUS said “We have an idea”.
To me, this means one idea, that is one puzzle piece to add to the whole peace puzzle to start the project.
I think we need to remember this didn’t all start in one day, it was layers and layers slowly built over many years and the peace plan out now maybe a similar situation.
So if they wind up solving one thing, any one thing, that is a step forward, it’s progress.
Like we say up here: “How do you eat a moose?”
One bite at a time.
President Trump must have some kind of deal in mind that he thinks both sides can accept. I hope he’s thinking a way around the ‘Middle Powers’ push toward WWIII. Almost certainly it has to involve money, and probably oil. Maybe some kind of US-Russia-Ukraine energy consortium, with an enticing ‘special offer’ for the Europeans—a guarantee of oil and gas for them?
And then we start on the Bering-Strait tunnel!
The tunnel itself (≈64 mi / 103 km under the strait) is technically feasible, but the full project faces prohibitive cost, extreme Arctic construction conditions, and insurmountable political barriers.
Plus the mountain ranges the rail would have to traverse.
The idea is a big super troll.
Maybe a bridge? Or an undersea pipeline? What’s important is a US-Russian agreement on trans-polar resources.
Hand the problem to Elon and his Boring Company.
So internal fighting over the spoils of war not control of Ukraine because it will be a shell of a country. Z will flee because too dangerous to stay and the grift is over. No one left to represent EU interests.
EU now faced w coughing up the frozen assets at their weakest financial situation since the war began. And with Ukraine surrender there is no longer a proxy army to buffer Russia. We can confidently assume that Trump has explained that if EU starts war with Russia that we will not honor NATO commitments.
Not sure situation is dire enough yet for peace. We could really use a peace deal before midterm but deep state needs to delay past midterm! Still think peace only works with unconditional surrender…
This will accomplish nothing.
A constructive meeting with Putin by most accounts that lasted three hours. Now they will travel to Kiev to meet with Zelensky.
The difference is, Putin is the top man in Russia. Zelensky will have to ask his string pullers what to do.
Even the best deal for both sides will be sabotaged by someone in NATO, The EU, Turkey, etc.
But obviously President Trump has been working on it and thinks there might be a chance. Let’s hope so.
Peace in Europe would be a nice win for him. Then leave NATO, end Canada and the UN, secure Cuba, Greenland, and more.
Ukraine at some point will end up suing for peace, their so called reliable friends are week and never will go to war with russia unless the U.S. is out in front make the charge and paying for everything.
It is only a matter of time.
Remember when President Trump had an idea for peace, he invited Zelenskyy to the WH, and his European overlords were so afraid that peace might break out that they invited themselves along? To the White House!
President Trump would approve of the decor in that beautiful room…. 😀
It’s kind of wild how powerful and quietly Kushner got power. No one really questions it either doesn’t even seem the media does either too much anyways. Then I wouldn’t really know I don’t watch it. I got nothing against him just a little creepy how he appeared from no where and has been doing International deals, accords……You can bet your ass he is in it for the money. Nothing wrong with that. As long as he does not sell us out.
Slippery Slope: “I got nothing against him just a little creepy how he appeared from no where and has been doing International deals,” “You can bet your ass he is in it for the money.”
Deception Stinks: I agree with you completely.
Slippery Slope: “Nothing wrong with that. As long as he does not sell us out.”
Deception Stinks: Basically you don’t trust him and neither do I. So there’s EVERYTHING wrong with that. This is our country , afterall.
I don’t know, but seeing Jared Kushner pop up in all of these international negotiations is starting to really irk me.
Seeing that Witkoff guy also irks me. Why isn’t Rubio there?
Rubio isn’t there because he’s on the campaign trail with JD.

I’m afraid you’re right.
You sound like a Bot…. or a leftist.
In that video, Putin seems quite reserved and soft spoken. Not his usual.
God is the Holy Trinity.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; both now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer of Saint Ioannikios the Great of Bithynia (+ 846)
My hope is the Father, my refuge the Son, my protection the Holy Spirit. O Holy Trinity, glory to Thee.
Putin extended a courtesy to President Trump, but there will be no general ceasefire; unconditional surrender is the only option left.
If the NATO/EU ruling class takes Europe into a war that is already lost, will the USA have another Marshall Plan to resurrect them?
On the platform, the Ukrainian negotiation group welcomed the overseas guests — Head of the Office of the President Budanov, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Umerov, Arachamia, and Kislica
President Zelensky himself scheduled the meeting at the walls of St. Sophia Cathedral in Kiev.

Ukrainian President Zelensky posted this video of him receiving Witkoff and Kushner in Kyiv with the caption,
“Negotiations have begun.”
What happened to the ceasefire?
Ukrainian drones struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery in Russia early this morning, causing fires at the facility.
Sundance, your empathy for Russia hss beeb evident for deveral years your right, entirely. But you seem to ignorreth ytjrfact that it was Russia who invaded Ulrainre ,a soveeren natioon in 2o22. Russia is st fault here.adand ussia’s justifacation was mostly didnformation.
Maybe try English or at least an English dictionary?
I wish them well. The Russian position has not changed any since the beginning and I don’t expect it to change now when they are close to archiving their goals.
Conversely, they could be putting their best foot forward….
May this stupid war that we are in, be ended asap. Enough killing of soldiers & ruining lives.
Our time on Earth could be much better spent doing positive things that benefit humanity.
Building instead of destroying.
Helping instead of harming.
I look forward to not seeing or hearing about new and better ways to kill people.
I could not give a flying f*** what sneakers Jared is wearing.
But I am sick & tired of knowing that thousands of Ukraine & Russia’s children without fathers and destroyed families, started with my country’s involvement. Ashamed is maybe a better word.
