Personally, I believe Turkish President Recep Erdogan knew exactly what would happen when he gave all the NATO leaders a “Magnum” .357 handgun at the 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey. What happened next is exactly the reason he did it.
President Trump brings Erdogan’s gift back to the White House, with a casual ‘cool gun’ nonchalant approach. Meanwhile, back in Europe, the apoplectic recipients, administrators’, various office bureaucracies and support staff that surround each NATO politician are physically and mentally stuck, not knowing what to do.
I have read many of the media reports, and they are incredibly funny -and sad- but mostly funny {SEE HERE}.
The general response is that President Erdogan has just handed the NATO leaders something akin to an unstable, portable nuclear device. Most of the European’s won’t even touch the custom case that accompanies the handgun, let alone actually touch the alarmingly scary pistol itself.
THE MESSAGE – AGAINST THE BACKDROP: How is NATO going to “defend itself” if they cannot even receive, handle or carry a firearm? A poignant and not-s0-subtle message that is more than a little funny; in a typically Turkish manner of irony.
The main NATO request in Turkey was for U.S. patriot missiles. {CITATION} Ursula von der Leyen, the European Union commission president, thanked Erdogan for the gift, which will be decommissioned and donated to a military museum, her spokesperson said. […] “It struck me that my gift of maple syrup kind of undermatched,” Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney told reporters, adding that the firearm was now in police possession. “I would like to reassure Canadians, they keep guns away from me.” {CITATION}
Sometimes life makes you feel like you are sitting alone, looking at the geopolitical world – and no one can see the absurdity of it all. We need advanced weapons to protect ourselves against the horrible Russians, NATO proclaimed.
Meanwhile, “The Belgian prime minister, Bart De Wever, only “learned of the exact nature of the gift” after landing in Belgium. “The prime minister was surprised and immediately handed it over to airport police so it could be placed in a secure safe and the matter was handled in accordance with relevant procedures,” an official said on Thursday.”
Several revolvers, including those belonging to Starmer, the German chancellor, Friedrich Merz, and the Dutch prime minister, Rob Jetten, have for now remained in the Turkish capital. Depending on the laws in force, transporting firearms is often far from straightforward, especially when they are fully functional. {source}
The Magnum styled .357 revolvers came with six bullets. “Beyond the logistical challenge, the gift also puzzled several delegations attending the summit.” … “The question asked over and over again: why such a gift?” … “The Turkish presidency did not immediately respond.”
Von der Leyen “expressed her thanks” to Erdoğan for the gift, her spokesperson said, adding that it would be decommissioned and donated to a military museum.
These same NATO leaders are asking President Trump for advanced Patriot Missiles.
Perhaps I’m the only one who can see the point Erdogan is making.
European NATO leaders dislike Recep Erdogan immensely.
For many years I have outlined Erdogan’s duplicity; quite simply – I am not a fan, yet you cannot deny the respect he has created against his adversaries within his position as the world’s most powerful gatekeeper for the future of Europe.
Europe says Erdogan cannot be trusted with American F-35 technology.
Europe asks President Trump for advanced patriot missiles.
Erdogan gives European leaders handguns.
European leaders and every layer of their bureaucratic staff are frozen.
Well played.

😂 😂 😂 😂
The great Pretenders..
Ladies and gentlemen, your feckless European “leaders.”
Thanks! Loved that song.
Thank you for posting that. Great to remember them and their time. I saw them perform in 1970 in Japan.
I looked it up, and those are revolvers from the 90’s, made by Turkish arms maker MKE. They’re beautiful, and each one is engraved on the barrel with the name of the recipient.
Otherwise, yes, the subtext is about as subtle as a brick through a window. The pansy-ass EU globalists don’t even know what to do with a revolver, never mind a war effort against Russia.
Johnny B,
How AWESOME would it be, if at the next Oval Office (de)press briefing, President Trump yanks that smoke wagon out of a shoulder holster, and lays it down on the Resolute Desk, and asks “Questions?”
Best,
skipper
President Trump could have Thune meet in the Oval office to discuss the Save America Act. He pushes the revolver across the desk to Thune, gets up and walks out of the office.
Thune could do his best Christopher Walken imitation from “The Deer Hunter.”
Scrap1ron,
BOOOOM!
With one bullet in it yet! 😊
I like that, but I think better would be on an actual firing range. Trump fires a round, you know John we really need to talk, fires another round, we’ve got to get the SAVE Act passed, fires another round, I’m not taking no for an answer, empties revolver in quick succession.
With just one round in it.
I think The Donald could pull off the Dirty Harry shoulder holster look.
Most definitely.
What a time to be alive!
😎
That’s a hysterically funny idea. I hope he gets your message. Lol
That WOULD be so awesome Skipper and you know what would be even more awesome?
Filming the presstitute’s reactions!!
But they sure want us to furnish them with missiles.
Too funny and revealing.
President Trump’s gun pic has 7 bullets, not 6. 😂
Two Scoops for PDJT!
“Trump’s gun pic has 7 bullets, not 6.”
Noticed that too. In the photo they appear to have white coloring on the tips. Is there any significance to that?
Willy Pete rounds:-)
“President Trump’s gun pic has 7 bullets, not 6. 😂”
I discovered elsewhere on this thread that there is a previously unnoticed watermark on the photo. This suggests the photo is computer generated. A figment of the AI imagination.

There is too much detail in that photo to be AI. It may be an “edited” photo, but he definitely took that photo.
If the photo is real the democrats will charge him with felon in possession of a firearm. My understand is a 10 to 15 years for even being in possession of bullet.
My Ruger .357 Magnum with a seven inch barrell has a seven round cylinder.
Janine, you’re a haplophobe.
https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/202366/1771/ruger-gp100-357-magnum-7-shot-double-action-revolver-with-4.2-inch-barrel
? I have no aversion to firearms.
For years I slept with one under my pillow! 😂
Jeanine, I had my fathers’ Colt Ranger .357 and used it to qualify for my CHL.
Sadly, “I lost it on a fishing trip and it is at the bottom of a lake!”
I too, for years, slept with a firearm.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
The reason is the opposition thinks the President is out of rounds. 6 & a quickie.
Is it too late for President Trump to repurpose the plans for the WH ballroom to an indoor gun range?
It’s probably already in the underground section
gz9gjg,
I have seen photos (taken by obama’s bus driver) of the massive underground complex that is already in existence under the White House. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least, if there is a range down there, as well.
Best,
skipper
Looks like the Colt 357 Mag I had in the 80s before foolishly selling it for a profit. 6” nickel plate w original box. Reminded my boys, “never sell your guns.”
I agree with you Sundance on all points. The thing I am contemplating is that we have a very crucial part of our Constitution that protects our right to firearm possession. The Revolutionary War might not have been won had the colonists not had firearms and knew how to use them. They are seen as guarantors of our freedom.
The countries of Europe have no such history. They view guns as if they are personal death machines. I am guessing not 5% of the attendees have ever used a gun. They have no positive relationship to guns whatsoever, and recent propaganda efforts have endeavored to identify guns as the agent of harm, not the individual using the gun. Apparently these politicians believe their own propaganda.
A deeper problem for Europe is that not only do they not have a history of guns as guarantors of freedom, they don’t really have a vibrant history of freedom. Our country is all about FREEDOM! It’s throughout our history, despite the propaganda machine of the globalists that keeps trying to convince us that America is only about cruelty, racism, and damage to everyone. Europe doesn’t have enough of a history of liberty that has stood the test of time.
Whatever the reason for that, it is a major difference between the US and between every other country in the world except Israel. Israel has a history of freedom because the formation of the state of Israel made it possible for Jews to be free in their own land for the first time since before the bible was written. By the way, in Israel almost everyone knows how to use firearms because almost everyone serves in the armed forces.
It is a little funny to hear of the responses of the people at the NATO meeting, and just how confused the people were about it: “Why such a gift?” I guess Erdogan enjoyed pulling their chains. For all the reasons he is a threat to NATO, he knows why he cannot be jettisoned, and my guess is he likes this “spoiler” role.
During the Covid scamdemic so called ‘free’ Israel shut down their country and required proof of the jab to do anything in the country. Travel to Israel was shut down to where one had to show proof of taking the Covid jab to enter the country. Over 90% of Israelis took the Covid jabs. That’s a strange manifestation of ‘freedom’.
Did you hear the one about soldiers getting dumped from the US armed forces? Your intellect is staggering. At least you got to spout some jew hate.
I believe there has been some amendment to that.
I fail to see how only the recitation of historical facts is empirical evidence of “jew hate”.
Of course you don’t. Every post is an opportunity.
Turkish guns?…let me tell you about Israel. Oh, I’ll also ignore my own countries shitty actions to make my point.
You are fine with it, I resent it.
Stupid.
FloridaFred os 10,000% percent correct in all he said. If you weren’t so obtuse (polite word for stupid) you’d have known Israel’s govt agreed to allow Pfizer to use their citizens as test subjects.
I saw that video on youtube of the police in Israel chasing down one man to force him to take the Covid jab. I don’t know how many citizens of Israel took the Covid “vaccinations” but for even one person to be shown being chased down and forced to take the shot right then and there was not to me what I thought Israel was about, for the people that survived Mengele and all the other efforts to destroy the Jewish people (and those that helped them) through forced sterilizations and then of course, Auschwitz and all the other death camps.
Nonsense. He is completely right about Israel’s response to the fake Plandemic. Maybe you weren’t paying attention at the time. Netanyahu was outspoken at the time about making sure Israel was the first and most “vaccinated” country on earth. He forced that poison on his own people – and that’s a fact. It’s very easy to throw around accusations of “jew hate.” especially when you don’t have the slightest idea what you’re talking about.
Israel has a history of being created by terrorists, so sure.
In 1835, the Mexican govt demanded the cannon they gave to the Tejas settlers be returned, we said “Come and Take It!
That ammo doesn’t look like .357. Too fat for its length. And the revolver frame looks big. Looks more like a .44.
Maybe the Big Dog received a bigger / nicer gift?
Maybe the caliber reflects respect and France got a pop gun?
One of those cap guns we had as kids from the Five and Dime
Your correct concerning the ammunition proportions. Possibly an A.I. “enhancement” artifact mentioned earlier:

I was thinking the exact same thing. I’ve had both .357 and a 44 magnum and those bullets look nothing like .357’s and a whole lot like 44’s.
That was the funniest bit of news I read this week. Most folks that I know own several guns and use them regularly. Mostly for hunting, but they are available for self defense. Heck, the high school kids have guns because they regularly participate in the various shooting competitions, and hunting.
HILARIOUS!!
I do not understand the anti-gun mindset. It is a force equalizer for most people and especially for women. Europe obviously cannot defend itself, and is pleased with the rape culture they have let flourish. I have no patience for their current “situation”.
I remember a former Supreme Court Justice talking proudly of being on the Varsity marksmanship team at his high school.
Any jock can be a jock, but being an expert marksman takes real skill. Back in the day, it WAS a varsity team in high schools! You had to qualify to be on it. And this guy was still proud of that experience. Good for him!
Marksmanship, to me, is a one-person game of genuine skill. It takes a lot of practice and instruction. May you never fire a single shot in anger, but do invest the time learning how to shoot, care for, and store your gun(s). Braggin’ rights included. 🤡
I’m not a fan either but this was a great move. The European leaders are a bunch of leftist globalist pussies. By the way the Turks make very good firearms.
I bought a $99 single-shot Turkish shotgun for the purpose of sitting ‘at the ready’ so that anybody in the house could grab it quickly and easily should a need arise. I never even had a chance to practice with it before a rabid raccoon showed up. Dead on accurate.
Shotguns are not my personal preference. Nevertheless, if you see a nocturnal animal in the daytime: kill it from a safe distance, stay away (keep pets away) from it, and immediately call Animal Control. They will safely remove the dead animal and test it.
Rabies is a critical public health concern because humans can contract it. It is also critical, as well as a legal requirement, to keep your dog’s vaccinations current. It is a hideous virus.
Like Atticus Finch!
I wonder if that part has been removed from more recent editions of “To Kill A Mockingbird”? If there was ever a remake of the original film, I wonder if that part would be in there?
Maybe it’s a subtle point telling these euro-weenies to blow their brains out?
Off themselves?
That crossed my mind too.
Trump should’ve gave Erdogan an AR-15. Those are much more nicer and cooler looking.
What a bunch of sissies. And they want our bombs. I’d keep it, shoot it, buy more ammo for it. .357 ‘s do have a kick to it when firing, but if you’re prepared for it you can adjust accordingly 😉.
I’m a female and I love to shoot at the range. I also carry. ❤️🇺🇸
Me too!!
Shoot 38 rounds. Save the 357 ammo.
Don’t know about 357, but I have a 44 Mag revolver and after shooting a lot of 44 Spc, the 44 Mag won’t chamber due to lead build-up. Need to check that.
As do I! 😉
I know my eyes are not what they once were, but in the NATO group picture is that Zelensky in the third row to the right side? Why is that toad on the stage? When did Ukraine become a NATO member?
Many of the leaders are into pretending.
Ouch!
Yep. He shows up at any chance to grovel for money and weapons.
Who let him at the gate?
Yes, he’s there. I wonder if he has other clothes?
he should have gave them dildos.
Ass plug too Turkiye model
Not an Erdogan fan myself either, but I have to agree this was a butt-kicking way to make a point.
President Trump certainly knows what to do, which is why we voted for him three times.
https://xcancel.com/its_The_Dr/status/2074974849395486854
I really wish President Trump could have gotten two- one for each hip.
Someone needs to teach the President trigger discipline.
I think he did that on purpose
Finger is not in the guard and not on the trigger at all. Looks relaxed and confident.
Dang! That’s a real nice party favor!
Europe has made itself entirely dependent and then beggars can’t be choosers.
In this case they want to be dependent, beggars and then in complete control of every thing and every one all over the planet.
It doesn’t work this way which is why most people get that being dependent isn’t a very good idea.
They really are not, as a whole, mentally fit -and I say this in a serious way.
Turkey can boast a number of outstanding small arms manufacturers — CANIK, TISAS and GIRSAN to name three. So to hell with the NATO ingrates; I would be proud to receive one of their handguns. My only question is, why a wheel gun? Is there a message here?
They’ll probably use them to shoot the citizens of their own countries.
Ooh wait that’s to overt, keep importing the third world
It’s hard telling if Ursula von der Leyen and the NATO stooges would be any better off giving their handguns to President Erdogan’s political opponents. No that it matters they are all in prison.
Why does the Trump photo show seven bullets? Hmmm … 😉
But, if you wanted to make a gift of a really pretty presentation handgun, this one is one helluva gift. Many hundreds of dollars apiece, before customization.
And yet, some of the recipients are obviously terrified at the very thought of owning a gun. Pity.
.357 is a little hard on my wrists, but I know that lots of us would love to have one!! They don’t know what they just got, but we do!!
The first gun I ever bought was a .357 Magnum S&W revolver. I would consider such a gun an “adult beginner gun” for sure. And the Euroweenies were terrified of them.
Be careful EU, you’ll shoot your eye out.
When I first saw that Christmas movie, I did not realize that it was an actual product!
Thank you, Sundance!
Excellent observations!
PS Another question in the back of my mind, why was Macron wearing sunglasses the entire time, even for that group photo?
Maybe another slap before disembarking his plan? /s
Perhaps he included six bullets so they could play Russian Roulette and not find an empty chamber?
I think Ursula needs to be decommissioned along with the rest of the European Commission and donated to a toilet paper museum.
cool gun?
“Cool clock, Ahmed”
Hope Trump submitted his ATF Form-6 or the lawfare types will be all over him.
A clear copy of rhe 1999s Colt Python, right down to the ventilated rib (on top of barrel), full underlug (underneath barrel, the extra weight aids in taming muzzle flip), and rearward moving cylinder latch.
Huzzah, President Erdogan! Huzzah!
An anyone own a gun in Turkey?
https://thegunzone.com/does-turkey-have-gun-control-laws/
Just looking at the pic. appears to be a beautiful revolver (is that a S&W?) Would like to see the auction price given the historical significance.
Gümüsay .357 Magnum
Cool. Looks like a Performance Center level Smith & Wesson 686 which is a .357 Magnum revolver.
I kinda want one….!
I have a hunch the recent meeting was held in Turkey so they could explain that the Kurdish offensive in Western Iran is not aimed at creating problems for Turkey.
Erdogan does not automatically back everything the US does, but I think he understands Trump and his actions better than the Europeans do. I think Erdogan was taking a dig at them with the gift of a sidearm. He doubled the armed force some of them can bring to bear.
Can’t say I would disagree with Erdogan taking a dig at some of them.
Now that is funny and probably quite accurate for some of them.
This is the only place I have read of the guns gifted by Erdogan. Thanks Sundance!
Erdoğan is a smart negotiator. He knows Trump doesn’t like to upstaged, even in gift giving.
He’s hoping Trump will respond to his .357 with an F-35.
What would have been more hilarious is if Erdogan replaced the bullets for each of the Euroweenie gifts with a note saying he was keeping them safe in Turkey until needed, ala Barney Fife.
…but then, given the news reports, they are essentially doing that themselves.
Lots of guns fired in my neck of the woods. Might be the only time I can tell I am not completely surrounded by delusional leftist socialists.
But when the leftist socialists hear the sound of guns they are aghast. They become fearful and start to do what they do best (and absolutely worst), they start to complain.
My single reply to their cra cra?
It is the sound of freedom.
And I cannot begin to hold — yet alone fire — my husband’s 357 Magnum.
This is a short take by Susan Kokinda on Ankara, there is a longer video discussion among Kokinda and 3 others that includes interesting stuff on DJT – Erdogan – Russia. Not sure I can easily find…will link in reply if I can.
Here is aforementioned video. It’s about an hour; I have my reservations about some of the discussion but the discussion on Turkey – CYA – Erdogan & coup highlighted some things I had never heard.
FF through initial sponsorship blurb.
Sorry I don’t know how to prompt videos; and I listened a few days ago and don’t know timing.
The pussyhats of Europe couldn’t handle it.
Looks like a cool pistol!
At CBP, carried the H&K P2000 and then the Glock 19.
Our President with that .357 Magnum looks like he’s ready to say:
“Make my day”
The Turks and Erdogan have been … “problematic”.
But my view of Erdogan has elevated a few notches. Those Turkish gunsmiths seem to know their art.
OMG!
NATO Wang Cares!
LOOL!
Awkward people can’t handle basic stuff.
First Lady-to-be, the lovely Melania, offering a gift to Mrs. Obama on Inauguration Day and Mrs. Obama acted like “well, what am I supposed to do with THIS” (and it appeared to us that it was clearly from Tiffany’s, in that blue box, so just be gracious like the giver).
I will happily accept one if the sissies don’t want it!
I wish I had a better program for looking at blown up photos so I could see what is etched on the guns in the pictures.
Photo two says Peter Mag??? on the barrel.
I like the song Jeanine posted and the implication is fitting, well done.
The pistols should have been accompanied by 1 bullet, a cigarette and a match.
Love it!! Thank you, Sundance!
The phrase “Euroweenie” is fitting (on many levels).
It is truly an amazing time we are living in. Great point made. You are a window to the World. The play is masterful by Turkey. Thank you.
