Secretary of State Marco Rubio gives remarks to the media from Miami as he prepares to travel to Sweden on a diplomatic mission. Rubio is asked about ongoing negotiations and conflicts with Iran as well as the indictment of Cuban official Raul Castro.
Secretary Rubio also discusses the World Health Organization and the Ebola outbreak in Africa. As noted by Rubio the #1 priority for the administration is making sure the issue does not come to the United States. Rubio also noted a change in posture toward NATO following several EU countries refusing to allow U.S. military engagement from bases within their nations. “The president and I are both disappointed,” with the intransigence of several NATO countries.
Secretary Rubio continues to state the U.S and Cuban officials are still in communication throughout the political conflict between the two countries, the main problem is the Cuban regime doesn’t know how to effectively run a country and is corrupt with all revenue that exists. Cuba is heading toward being “a failed state” and that issue elevates the urgency due to proximity.
.

SO much happening with this (these) outstanding appointment (s) of Sec-State Rubio. Thanks go out to you, Marco.
Yay. We get to pay welfare to the Cubans while the Las Vegas casino barons get their island paradise back. What can go wrong?
Ending a communist regime that harbors, our enemies covert spy agencies that hate America and aids in pushing drugs into America.
Anything wrong with that?
One thing that annoys me about the fake news media is how they frame questions.
Over and over again, a fake journalist will ask a question that clearly has nothing to do with gaining more knowledge about the subject matter.
Rather, the sole purpose of the question is to elicit a “sound bite” that will reflect poorly on the person answering the question.
Case in point-idiot fake journalist with irritating British accent asks, “Does the administration still think that NATO countries are cowards?”
The only purpose of such a stupid question is to have a clip of Secretary Rubio calling NATO cowards on the news tonight.
Then the fake news can bring their expert liars on to lie about the clip and try to make President Trump and his administration look bad.
I hate the media. They are evil, they are liars and they are stupid. A pox on all of the corrupt media!
🎯
Gosh, he’s one of the most energetic individuals in any administration. Wouldn’t have been surprised if someone didn’t toss him a football. Still a very good interchange with the press. Informative.
“intransigence” great word to describe nato/eu actions lately
Continue to be impressed by the New Marco. Hope he continues
And if there’s anyone that can help resolve the cuba situation it would be Rubio.
Rock on Mr Secretary
Yuge Marco.
