Local media out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, are reporting that Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and federal officials including HHS Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, will be making an announcement about federal indictments for fraud as an outcome of ongoing investigations throughout the state.
Minnesota – Several top U.S. officials, including HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche, will be in Minneapolis on Thursday for an announcement about “major law enforcement action involving fraud” in the state.
The announcement coincides with the sentencing of Aimee Bock, the ringleader in the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud scheme. Also in attendance on Thursday morning will be officials from the National Fraud Enforcement Division, the FBI, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other law enforcement agencies. As I understand it, each of the cabinet secretaries (Rubio, Bessent, Hegseth, Bondi, Burgum, Lutnick, Kennedy, Collins, Noem/Mullin, Gabbard, Ratcliffe, et.al.) were nominated with the understanding that they were to prioritize the specific side project of cleaning out the rot in their departments, including de-weaponizing the abuses of their departments. With the obvious exception of Ms. Bondi, the secretaries seem to be doing pretty much what was expected of them in that regard. Mr. Blanche seems to understand the assignment, which may be why we now see so much happening at D.O.J.
Mr. Patel, in his position as the FBI Director, doesn’t operate independently of the Attorney General, but rather as a high-profile immediate subordinate of the A.G.; this doesn’t necessarily excuse his performance to date, but if the A.G. was refusing to cooperate, then there’s limits to what he can do. We shall soon enough see if that changes.

If this would lead to state authorities who received donations from shell companies and those of over 250 sites, (with most defendants being of Somali or East African descent) among the 79 people charged – and over 60 convicted or pleading guilty. She claims Ilhan Omar’s office helped extend critical USDA waivers that allowed the fraudulent program to continue uninterrupted. Bock alleges that when pandemic-era meal program waivers were set to expire—creating gaps in coverage—Omar’s office intervened to bridge them, enabling continued billing for meals that were never served.
Omar introduced the MEALS Act in March 2020, which authorized USDA emergency waivers that relaxed oversight, eliminated site inspections, and allowed restaurants to participate in federal child nutrition programs.
According to Bock, her nonprofit and other operators reached out to Omar’s office for help securing and extending these waivers, with Omar’s name appearing in at least six email chains entered as evidence during the trial.
Additional claims include: Waiver gaps occurred mid-month, such as expiring on the 15th with renewal only on the 1st, and Bock asserts Omar’s office helped close these.
Omar promoted Safari Restaurant, a key fraud participant, in a 2020 video, praising its meal distribution despite inflated claims.
The Minnesota House Fraud Prevention Committee concluded Omar “played a critical role in creating and enabling” the fraud and has sought to subpoena her communications.
Omar is slippery. There have to be receipts of how tThere is no public evidence that Rep. Ilhan Omar received direct financial benefits from the Feeding Our Future program. However, her campaign received $7,400 in donations from three individuals later charged in the fraud scheme, including associates of Safari Restaurant, a major participant. Ilhan Omar donated those contributions to local food charities in February 2022, shortly after the FBI investigation became public.
While Omar has not been accused of personal financial gain from the fraud, questions have been raised about a significant discrepancy in her financial disclosures—reporting assets as high as $30 million in 2024 before revising them to under $100,000, which her office attributed to an accounting error. Critics, including members of the Minnesota House Fraud Prevention Committee, have called for transparency, but no evidence has emerged linking her finances directly to the fraudulent program funds. she has denied any knowledge of the fraud – calling such claims “flat-out false,” and maintains her MEALS Act was intended solely to ensure children received meals during the pandemic.

Medical fraud? I live in a tiny rural 1790 town mostly welfare, social security, elderly. Lately I am seeing tall white unmarked vans picking up and delivering patients to their homes, one driven by a woman in full black muslim gear with only her eyes showing, and two driven by dark completed men with black hair and beards. No markings on the vehicles! I Saw one also pushing a wheelchair patient at the greenhouse close by. Again, no markings on the van. Suddenly these strangers!
