Secretary of State Marco Rubio gives remarks to the media from Miami as he prepares to travel to Sweden on a diplomatic mission. Rubio is asked about ongoing negotiations and conflicts with Iran as well as the indictment of Cuban official Raul Castro.
Secretary Rubio also discusses the World Health Organization and the Ebola outbreak in Africa. As noted by Rubio the #1 priority for the administration is making sure the issue does not come to the United States. Rubio also noted a change in posture toward NATO following several EU countries refusing to allow U.S. military engagement from bases within their nations. “The president and I are both disappointed,” with the intransigence of several NATO countries.
Secretary Rubio continues to state the U.S and Cuban officials are still in communication throughout the political conflict between the two countries, the main problem is the Cuban regime doesn’t know how to effectively run a country and is corrupt with all revenue that exists. Cuba is heading toward being “a failed state” and that issue elevates the urgency due to proximity.
.

SO much happening with this (these) outstanding appointment (s) of Sec-State Rubio. Thanks go out to you, Marco.
Yay. We get to pay welfare to the Cubans while the Las Vegas casino barons get their island paradise back. What can go wrong?
Ending a communist regime that harbors, our enemies covert spy agencies that hate America and aids in pushing drugs into America.
Anything wrong with that?
After watching Secretary Rubio’s comments, that’s your take?
Oh my. Didn’t have that on my bingo card.
Vegas resident here. We stopped being a gangster town when Howard Hughes bought out Meyer Lansky. Now the casinos are run by corporations. They will keep things from going wrong. Cuba would be a great new MLB location.
Agree!
Max Blumenthal interview yesterday. Very informative.
Talked about the Miami Mob. Billionaires involved.
Once I started years ago researching Cuba …and how communism gained
a foothold, and what conditions existed to permit it.
All I can say is that the propaganda narrative we were fed….is not entirely
accurate. Fascinating history.
Judge Napolitano is annoying- but I like a lot of his guests 🤷♀️
Start at 29 minute mark.
I didn’t realize Castro was 95 years old! We can subpoena…kidnap
bring him to US and provide him with end of life care?
Really silly and waste of money and resources. 🤷♀️

One thing that annoys me about the fake news media is how they frame questions.
Over and over again, a fake journalist will ask a question that clearly has nothing to do with gaining more knowledge about the subject matter.
Rather, the sole purpose of the question is to elicit a “sound bite” that will reflect poorly on the person answering the question.
Case in point-idiot fake journalist with irritating British accent asks, “Does the administration still think that NATO countries are cowards?”
The only purpose of such a stupid question is to have a clip of Secretary Rubio calling NATO cowards on the news tonight.
Then the fake news can bring their expert liars on to lie about the clip and try to make President Trump and his administration look bad.
I hate the media. They are evil, they are liars and they are stupid. A pox on all of the corrupt media!
🎯
The media leads the Iranians the false hope that the USA is in chaos over an election overthrowing the existing House in November. The leftist media is painting our President as a lame duck after midterms. Indict the lying presstitutes.
The real journalists are Nick Shirley, Andy Ngo, etc. The alphabet agency TV broadcasters are just propaganda.
Gosh, he’s one of the most energetic individuals in any administration. Wouldn’t have been surprised if someone didn’t toss him a football. Still a very good interchange with the press. Informative.
“intransigence” great word to describe nato/eu actions lately
Continue to be impressed by the New Marco. Hope he continues
And if there’s anyone that can help resolve the cuba situation it would be Rubio.
Rock on Mr Secretary
Yuge Marco.
His performance in his multiple gov jobs has improved Bigly!
The US record for saving troubled nations from falling in a FAILED NATION condition over the past 30 years or so leaves plenty of questions… Papa Bush and Clinton earned SOMALIA; Clinton created KOSOVO, after wresting it from Serbia; AFGHANISTAN must fall at the feet of Bush with an honorable mention to Biden; and add IRAQ to that side of the ledger; how about giving LIBYA and SYRIA to Obama, again with an honorable mention to Biden for Syria; Obama also earns YEMEN, and maybe CHAD and MALI; IRAN will soon open Trump’s collection…Venezuela, Columbia, el Salvador…maybe Mexico someday soon? Canada, Germany…soon on Life Support! Why in the hell does the USA need to gather in any other dependents such as Cuba? Since 1990, we here in the USA have been led by the 7 DWARVES!
Sounds like you can hardly wait.
On Ebola we turned around an Air France flight with a pax from Congo onboard. I guess Quebec was willing to take it.
Director Rubio will make a fine vice President and President in that order.
Mr. Rubio is so very well spoken. Impressive.
My Uncle, in his early 90’s, fled Castro and prison , as a political prisoner, in the early 70’s.
3 young men in their 30’s built a raft and floated to Florida in shark infested waters.
He met and married my Auntie, started a family, 4 sons and became a professional painter, working for a successful builder in the Sudbury, Lincoln and Concord area.
I could tell you so much more but I pray that he lives long enough to see SoS Marco Rubio, crush the Castro’s and Communism in Cuba and it becomes free and beautiful again for it’s people.
Castro is 95 years old. No longer in government.
Diaz-Canal is now the President since—- 2019.
It is now most likely destined to become part of the Miami mob
and billionaires.
We American taxpayers will be footing the bill 💸to rebuild what we have
been working to destroy since 1962 with embargo and sanctions.
The billionaires will be making bank off of what we taxpayers will build…in Cuba.
We American 🇺🇸taxpayers will pay for it. The infrastructure will cost a lot!
Plenty of money-laundering opportunities there….with our money.
While our US infrastructure that we Americans
pay taxes for …and never get …continues to crumble.
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 America First!🇺🇸🇺🇸
There has always been an Iranian tolling system to sail east into the Golf of Omon. If ships didn’t buy insurance through the Lloyd’s of London they weren’t allowed through the straights. Lloyd’s then paid Iran to cause fear so they could charge everyone who wished to pass
Cuba is headed to being a U.S. Territory like Puerto Rico. And I am good with that..
Oh heck NO!!! Puerto Rico is a drug-infested, impoverished, corrupt hell hole (spent 2 wks touring around the entire island). It’s a heavy U.S. taxpayer liability and Cuba would be the same. Long overdue to cut support to PR and urge them to seek independence!
Look who’s been put in charge of the Memorial Day BBQ grill.
Rubio should be holding a Cristal.
Definitely AI.
I’m impressed with Rubio. He seems every bit as ‘no nonsense’ as President Trump.
Rubio’s next two stops:
