Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent appears on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo to discuss current geopolitical events and the ramifications for the U.S. economy. It is a rather lengthy interview and discussion that touches on numerous key points.
Bessent notes the upcoming meeting between President Trump and Chairman Xi of China is still on schedule and U.S. Operation Financial Fury against Iran is yielding good results. I had no idea the U.S. government has made $30 to $40 billion from the Intel backstop. WATCH:

Mr. Bessent is a most valuable treasury secretary for the Trump Administration, best I have seen.
Agree 100% !!
Bessent has certainly done an outstanding job! Additionally he is very articulate and communicates in a way that reasonably intelligent people can understand what he is explaining (he doesn’t dumb down his explanations, but he doesn’t talk above the level most people can understand).
I would be hopeful for a Republican President again in January of 2029 who can and will carry the MAGA torch and that several cabinet members like Bessent and RFK Jr can continue in their posts or similar support positions to continue the great work they are doing.
I am NOT tired of winning.
The only way this continues is if we have no fraud or next to no fraud in our elections. The current legislation in congress MUST pass and be signed into law- Thune needs to make it happen. If he doesn’t, I would consider him not only a traitor to the party and traitor to Trump, but a traitor to our country and the Founding Fathers of our Country.
Let us continue the success of this administration for the future generations.
I also must comment on Maria, she is an excellent interviewer; she asks pertinent and compelling questions and gives her guests ample time to fully answer before moving on, great job Maria!
“$30 to $40 billion from the Intel backstop”
Nice chunk of change against the national debt? Let’s not sell just yet….
It is a big amount of money but to put it in perspective, it would barely pay for one week of the annual interest on the debt. Current numbers estimate that the annual interest is $1.4 Trillion.
After reading all the other threads on the Sunday talk show circuit it’s good to read some sensible questions and answers compared to the other shows.
