It often amazes me where a tiny seed can take root and grow, even into a large tree. You see it often in the rocky areas of Northern Minnesota and Ontario Canada.

In the ’50s – ’60s, every year, along the Gulf Coast, in June, there would be a supplement in the Sunday newspaper …….. or available for free at the grocery stores ……. it would be the Hurricane Tracking Chart for the Hurricane Season.
The supplement would be thumbtacked to a closet door and would be used by each household to manually track hurricanes, raising hurricane awareness.
The 2026 Atlantic hurricane season officially began on June 1, 2026 and will end on November 30, 2026.
As of now, the season has seen the formation of two named storms, with no hurricanes reported yet.
The 2026 Atlantic hurricane season is predicted to be below average, with forecasts suggesting only nine storms and four hurricanes, primarily due to a strengthening El Niño that increases wind shear and suppresses storm formation.
However, even a quieter season can still produce significant impacts, such as flooding from tropical storms.

The Shangri-Las faced the 60’s version of Cancel Culture when they sang the song “Long Live Our Love” in support of our people in the military during the Vietnam War. Pop and rock DJs canceled them.
The Shangs were two pairs of sisters (Weiss and Ganser), who would all sleep in the same room on the road so they could fight off guys trying to break in. It was a constant problem for them that their management never addressed. Two of them got pulled aside by the authorities for bringing firearms on a plane.
The Ganser sisters (Marguerite and Mary Ann) were fraternal twins. Betty Weiss married and was in and out of the group when she was caring for her firstborn. Mary Weiss was the lead singer. They came out of the parish halls of Queens, and were about the same age as the Donald. (Singing great Connie Francis from nearby New Jersey was a close friend of Our Lion and was a guest of his at Mar-A-Lago New Years Eve 2016-2017.)
“Walking in the Sand” and “Past, Present, and Future” were highly popular in Europe also. Paul McCartney said the latter song was his favorite female record of the decade.
The Shangs also did “Give Him a Great Big Kiss” and “Out in the Streets” and “Give Us Your Blessings” which were all good songs. The last one was a teen tragedy classic.
And for young adult drama, they did “Train from Kansas City.” Pat Benatar was jealous she couldn’t have done that song first.
Elvis and his detail brought handguns to flights a few years later, and because of the hijacking scares, pilots welcomed Elvis and his posse to sit in the rows closest to the cockpit! Too bad he couldn’t have booked the Shangs as an opening act.

Very few chemical reactions produce clean, pure products with no trace of starting materials or impurities. Most generate a mixture whose individual components must be purified before the results can be identified. In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, purification of a chemical reaction product often required repetitive crystallizations, distillation, or solvent extraction.
British chemist Archer John Porter Martin, co-recipient, with Richard L. M. Synge, of the 1952 Nobel Prize in chemistry, “for their invention of partition chromatography.”
Archer John Porter Martin grew up in London, England, and from an early age demonstrated an aptitude for chemistry. As a child, he designed and built an apparatus for distillation from old coffee tins packed with charcoal, some as tall as five feet. He entered Cambridge University with the intention of pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. However, he was influenced by J. B. S. Haldane to specialize in biochemistry. At Cambridge his childhood experience with fractional distillation became valuable.
Martin continued with his explorations of multi phase separation technology and went to work as a research chemist for the Wool Industries Research Association in Leeds. It was there that he met Richard Lawrence Millington Synge and began to collaborate with Synge on the problem of separating acetylamino acids. Eventually, Martin and Synge came up with the idea that, instead of using a counterflow extraction process with solvents moving against one another, they could partition one phase (hold one phase stationary using an appropriate support). The result was the invention of liquid-liquid partition chromatography , first reported in the Biochemistry Journal in 1941.
In their landmark paper, Martin and Synge also indicated that partition chromatography that used a carrier gas as the mobile phase was possible. In his Nobel lecture of 1952, Martin casually revealed that he, in collaboration with A. T. James, had devised a mechanism for gas-liquid chromatography. The use of a gas as the mobile phase did place limits on the types of material that could be analyzed, as the compounds had to be volatile and better detectors were needed, but these difficulties proved to be surmountable. Today, gas-liquid chromatography is probably the single most widely used analytical tool in chemistry.

This drastically oversimplifies things.
Keep in mind, the Peoples’ Republic of China is a constitutional republic. But it is not a place we would want to live.
It is also a place where neither republic or constitution mean anything.
The United States is a constitutional federal republic with a representative democracy.
Being called a republics in no way guarantee liberty. A republic means not ruled by a monarch. Sweden is not a republic.
Here are some nations that call themselves republics that do not have liberty:
Iran calls itself a Islamic Republic, Governed by Islamic laws
North Korea calls itself a republic (in reality closer to being ruled by a monarch after 3 generations of one family rule.
The USSR was a republic.
Vietnam calls itself a republic.
Cuba calls itself a republic.
China calls itself a republic.
Nicaragua calls itself a republic.
So to guarantee liberty we need more, like a constitution, but that is not enough either. Everyone of the aforementioned countries has a constitution. So being a constitutional republic does not guarantee liberty.
Being a federal republic does not guarantee liberty.
Being a representative republic does not guarantee liberty.
How do we pick our representatives? With elections, often called democracy. Not a true or pure democracy, like people like to use but a LIMITED democracy, with checks and balances, like the Bill of Rights and electoral college for the Presidency to ensure free and fair elections.
So we are a federal constitutional representative Republic with a Limited Democracy with checks and Balances.
The USA does indeed have a unique combination of republic and democracy to ensure liberty.
If we fall to the Communist we will remain a republic, the USA’s second republic (France is in it’s fifth republic since the fall of the monarchy) , but we won’t have liberty. We will no longer have even a limited democracy.
This is why the left wants to rewrite the Constitution, cancel most of the Bill of Rights (especially the first and second amendments), change the elections so they are no longer free or fair, only elect House Representatives (as blue states have the most votes) and eliminate the Senate (which give EQUAL representation to all states regardless of size) and Electoral college for the Presidency.

COMMENTARY FOR MATTHEW 28:18
Christ’s resurrection. (1-8) He appears to the women. (9,10) Confession of the soldiers. (11-15) Christ’s commission to his disciples. (16-20)
16-20 This evangelist passes over other appearances of Christ, recorded by Luke and John, and hastens to the most solemn; one appointed before his death, and after his resurrection. All that see the Lord Jesus with an eye of faith, will worship him. Yet the faith of the sincere may be very weak and wavering. But Christ gave such convincing proofs of his resurrection, as made their faith to triumph over doubts. He now solemnly commissioned the apostles and his ministers to go forth among all nations. The salvation they were to preach, is a common salvation; whoever will, let him come, and take the benefit; all are welcome to Christ Jesus. Christianity is the religion of a sinner who applies for salvation from deserved wrath and from sin; he applies to the mercy of the Father, through the atonement of the incarnate Son, and by the sanctification of the Holy Spirit, and gives up himself to be the worshipper and servant of God, as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, three Persons but one God, in all his ordinances and commandments. Baptism is an outward sign of that inward washing, or sanctification of the Spirit, which seals and evidences the believer’s justification. Let us examine ourselves, whether we really possess the inward and spiritual grace of a death unto sin, and a new birth unto righteousness, by which those who were the children of wrath become the children of God. Believers shall have the constant presence of their Lord always; all days, every day. Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

I know that ending the war in 24 hours was hyperbole, but it looks like the deep state and military-industrial complex have asserted their authority.
The war is lost, and you can’t seem to extricate the USA.
These are not real estate deals; you can’t agree on general principles and have the lawyers and accountants sort out the details.
Tell the public that trusted you that you want out of the war, but the people in charge won’t let you quit.
This will negate all the good things you have done.
It seems that the Ukraine war is like trying to have honest elections in the USA; you can’t get it done because you are outmatched.

Her name was Lola Daviet, a 12-year-old French girl.

All of this cruelty was revenge against Lola’s mother… for refusing to give her a badge.
Lola’s father died of grief.

The foreigner was recently sentenced to life in prison.

It was too much to fully follow, as it was so cruel.
It’s almost hard to believe that a human being could do that to a child. And there are so many more evil barbarians out there.

Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord
I pray that You would watch over me as I rest tonight, and that You would give me a restful night’s sleep so that I may wake up in the morning refreshed in body and spirit and ready to do Your will. Prayer Of Reflection On The Past Day
Loving Lord, as the day is coming to an end, I want to thank You for being with me in all that has taken place today. I also want to lay the whole day before You, asking that you would show me if there is anything that I have done to hurt or harm another person unknowingly, or if I have done anything that is displeasing in Your sight, or quenched the work of the Spirit in me, so that I may turn away from such things in the days that lie ahead.
Lord, I desire to do Your will in all things. I pray that You would cleanse me of any wrong thoughts or attitudes that may have surfaced in my heart today. Wash me in Your cleansing flood, I pray.
Thank You, that You are a God who forgives our transgressions when we are willing to confess them to You, knowing that such cleansing before You immediately draws us back into sweet fellowship with Yourself.

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
