British Prime Minister Kier Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz issue a joint statement on their plan to open the Strait of Hormuz, after President Trump secured and opened the Strait of Hormuz.
Essentially, after holding an international teleconference, leaders from the U.K, France, Italy and Germany gather to express their importance on an issue that has been entirely resolved without them. The result is akin to a Monty Python skit that’s missing the part where a guy comes out and slaps them in the face with a big fish. WATCH (prompted):

President Trump has correctly determined that direct engagement with all of the countries in the mid-east is the effective course of action. His track record at closing peace deals and preventing border skirmishes from becoming full-scale wars (with assistance from Secretary Rubio) is impressive. It is clear the President Trump holds a strong personal connection with many in the region. A friend from Japan told me that many Japanese like Trump because it’s easy to understand what he is saying. I think that this is also true with his communications in the mid-east. Many of the 20 world leaders who gathered in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt last October at the peace signing accords speak some level of English, but are not perfectly fluent. They understand Trump’s direct language before the translators convert it to Arabic. Watch that video again and look at their expressions and body language. Hopefully either Rubio or Vance can carry the Trump legacy forward another 8 years.

Do not underestimate the power of the armada of the EU and UK. Look back to 2024. The Netherlands, Great Britain, Romania, New Zealand, Germany, and Ireland – EVERYONE of the countries had more medals than the US in Olympic rowing.
